Dear Honored Ministers of the World:

Currently, the great region of the Northern Papal States is embroiled in a civil war following the unjust assassination of a member nation's Vice President by the military forces of another member nation. Since this incident, a great polarization has occured in the region and our Grand Alliance has found itself faced by an equally strong axis supporting the right to such intolerable acts of terrorism.

In light of what is sure to be a horrendous and bloody civil war, I, the founder of the NPS and Chairman of the Grand Alliace, have decided to ask for military support from the other great military and economic powers of the world in putting a quick end to this civil war.

Please respond to our cry for peace and justice, and help make a positive difference in this great world of ours. Any help is appreciated, and all help is accepted.

OOC If you can give me a link to any of the battles, or the diplomacy, so I know I'm supporting the right side, I will think about allying with you.

While the various forces are currently involved in a high-tension standoff, there are no battles of which to speak of yet. For the dimplomacy side of things, simply travel to the Northern Papa States regional site, and a comprehensive list of the latest dealings will be spelled out for you.

We have looked over the events in your region, but due to lack of information (ie only 10 messages being stored in the regional message board at a time) we can't judge how this conflict started accurately in order to decide stance. Perhaps you could outline the start of the events?

Falastur:

This conflict actually began with the unprovoked assassination of the Vice President of TheMike. Broken Fingers and Chet claimed joint responsability for the action, and explained that their citizes were in need of a international situation.

As regional tensions mounted, Pepperland, a nation known for its illegal drug industry, took it upon itself to solve the problem by air-dropping ganja into the other nations of the NPS. Chet and Broken Fingers took immediate offense to this and prepared themselves for war. Stepping in at this point, the Alliance of Founders (Myself and Weslivaneer) along with its allies (constituting the present Grand Alliance) declared that both groups were in the wrong and must desist. However, instead of ending a potential conflict, some leaders took this opportunity to chip away at the ability of the Grand Alliance to oversee regional politics. In so doing, two sides were created, and the rebellious nations mobilized their armed forces. We did the same, and are awaiting the outcome of this standoff.

Presently we have recieved offers of aid from the IDF and Euroslavia. These nations have seen us worthy of their alliance, and I hope you will as well.
