(Present Day, Southeastern office, floor 2, interviews SECRET!!!)
It was too late now. Thats what you get for signing a contract before
reading it, he thought. Stupid. He had to do it, or face
the penalties, those he did read. And to him, they were not something
he wanted to go through.

With that, he loaded is new, sleek and black Colt .45 and stepped into
the interview room..

(1 month earlier, SECRET!!, CNN's Southeastern office, Floor 3)

"That's just bull," exclaimed a man. George recognized him as Max Anderson,
CNN's Southeastern overall VP. "CNN was first and best! Who do these
clowns think they are fooling? Pathetic immitations I tell you."

"I don't know man.." replied Brad Nowell, CNN's southeastern Editor and
Cheif. "Fox and ABC are pretty good."

"Bah, that's what I was worried about.. we can't ruin CNN's reputation
by giving into these nitwits.. Even after CNN granted Jarridia an Interview."
Max caught George staring at him, obviously listening in on his conversation.
George was a mere reporter, but that was about to change. "You there, come
here," Max's voice was deep and commanding.

Shit, George said to himself as he slowly rised from his desk and
proceeded towards Max and Brad. "Um.. sorry, I wasn't listening--"

"Save it," Max inturrupted. "Truth is, your listening in just scored you
a promotion. All good reporters are always tuned in to their surroundings,
so would you like to do a special assignment? The Jarridian interview?"

George was shocked at this. He had expected the exact opposite of what had
happened. "Uh, that would be great Mr. Anderson."

And with that, Max snapped his fingers, which keyed Brad to produce the
contract, and he did accordingly. "Now, all you'll have to do is sign
this.. here.. and.. right there as well." George stopped on the penalties
for breach of contract page. It seemed rather harsh for standing down
on and interview. 4.5 million dollar fine, he read. "Welcome to
the team.." Max paused, flopped open the contract to read the signature,
"..George. Now if you'll step this way, Brad and I will fill you in on
what exactly you are to do."

George and Max rose. Brad was already standing next to a large, double-
doored corridor. Promptly, he swung the wide doors open to reveal a long,
narrow hallway with huge offices and conference rooms on either side.

The trio stopped at the end of the hall and entered a large room,
presumeably Max's office, on the left-hand side.

As they entered, Max started talking. "Now, we have a little problem,
George. As you heard, Fox and ABC news, opperated by Jarridia, have
decided to put up some competition with CNN. This will not be tolerated."
he paused.

George took the opportunity to question. "Then why did we grant them the
interview when their own news stations could do it?"

Max snorted and chuckled. George noticed Brad fooling with something in
a nearby desk. "You see," Max started, diverting George's attention from
Brad to him, "This interview is essential to CNN's success. Jarridia's
president will be shot."

"While I'm interviewing him?! I want nothing to do with this!" George got
up and attempted to storm out, but he stopped when he heard the cocking
of a shotgun. He turned slowly to see Brad holding one in his hands,
aimed right for him. He walked back to his seat and sat down.

Brad walked over to Max with yet another firearm. A Colt .45. Max grinned
as he pocketed the weapon. He then rotated his head slowly towards George.
"Now, Georgey my boy, I think we both know, now, what it is you are to do,
do we not?"

George's fearful face was immediately replaced with shock and astonishment.
"Y-you mean.." he stutterded, "the contract.. it.. I.. the.."

"Yes you ninny," Max stated. "You are going to shoot the Jarridian president.
That will teach him to mess with CNN.." Max retrieved the . 45 from his coat
pocket, and handed it to George.

George's face turned even more screwy after that. He couldn't believe what
he had just done. Thats why the breach penalties were so stiff.. he
concluded.

Max and Brad looked at eachother and grinned. "You have one month until the
interview. Take the gun to the NRA shooting range on 5th and Main, get used
to it. Here's some extra ammo for you." Max tossed a package of 100 rounds
of .45's to George, which landedon his lap.

There was a long silence. Max decided to break it. "Don't worry, son. You
will be rewarded greatly if the plan follows through."

(Present day, Southeastern office, Floor 2, Interviews)

(Secret) George shook hands with the Jarridian President, and sat down. He
observed the security standing at the main entrance. The back exit was
unguarded, though. This wouldn't be so bad, he told himself, though that was
a lie. He was about to shoot a respected government official. He would have
to make a dash for the exit after the deed was done.(End Secret)

It was time to begin the interview. George pressed record on the tape
recorder that sat on the table seperating the President and himself. That
was probably a bad idea, he thought, for it would record the shots.
"Mr. President," he started, his voice a little shaky, "What do you believe
is the best foreign policy in the world right now, and which do you follow?"

And with that, the plan was set in motion..

Sorry -CNN-....I'm a little busy at the moment. Although I feel this could be interesting to go through, I have more pressing matters of state. Someone out there is plotting against me. Yes, I know who it is. I'll have to deal with that.

OOC: Plus tons of homework to finish. Gotta graduate ya know. Sorry for the inconvenience of typing all of this......maybe at a later date I will dig it up. :(
