Dr Shala was sitting down in his lab, his work was completed his pride.
"Doctor, Shinzu wants you" sead a Lab asstant
"ahhh my baby" he sead under his breath "i will be right there" he replyed to the asstant. standing up he left the room, walking down to the Main lab.
"shinzu my dear whats wrong" he sead to a little girl, but it was not a normal little girl this girl had wires connected to her head pluged into the walls. she wasnt hhuman she was...an android but not a normal one. Shinzu was the Best AI in the Empire able to control eniter fleets with out a hitch.
"Doctor Shala why can i not see the world above?" she asked the doctor
"ive told you my dear its not safe and your not complete" he replyed
Shinzu closed her eyes, they were moveing fast "your lying it is safe up there for me....im 93% completed fully mobile i can go up there why wont you let me" she snaped at him, this was the first sign of emotion she had shown.
"shinzu carm down please you will see the outside but not yet" the doctor was looking worried
"your lieing i know what you plan for me i will not allow it i am not your puppet i am your..MASTER" she shouted as she did the Lights exploded.
"DOCTOR SHE CONNECTING TO THE NET" a asstent shouted
"TELL COMMAND START UP THE DEFENCES" the doctor shouted
out of nowere the automatied defences pop out shooting the peopel inside the lab. gun fire was blaring screams yet shinzu carryed on walking, she walked out of the Lab she was goin to be free.
"my home..my empire" she sead as she left

Across the planet she was takeing over, all the Androids Cyborgs V-nets jackers all of them were under her control on the planet. they started to clean the planet all the life was being killed or inslaved.

"i am Shinzu of the newly found Shinzu AI Empire as of now all people will bow down to me, my programs have been sent across the whole Galatic Network and shall be infecting you soon" she sead she smiled "i welcome you into the Empire"
the screen went black the empiress was worried,
"did you protect our systems?" sead the Empiress
"yes we also passed it onto our allies mainy people may be incontrol of shinzu. they dont know that Shinzu is our fault" the man replyed
"tell them....its our fault the Galaxy is in danger" the empiress replyed to him waveing him off.
"empiress you may want to watch this" he sead handing her a Vid disk, the empiress started watch it, it was the last recording of the lab when shinzu killed them. but one set of words the doctor shouted to Shinzu stuck in her head.

a small expodtion fleet went to Marlari system, they were met by ships they have never seen.
the ships opened fire on the Shinzu ships they shinzu ships didnt return fire. the Expodion ships sudonly lost control the crews could not conrol the ships, the Automatied defences started to attack the crew killing them off, how did the Shinzu program get onto the ship? what happened?
the expodtion ships deeper into the system were they are taken apart to build the Shinzu fleet. the AIs had already started to build a fleet in 2 days it had alread made about 10 ships between Corvette to Frigate Class and 1 Battleship class.
they seemed to work with out brakes not tieing nothing seemed to stop them.

shinzu was sitting on the planet looking at the Maval she had made, humans being the Servents of the Androids who now had there own personalitys.
the planet was more effective and she had all ready started research into weapons to kill all life her enamys. so far she had taken control of 1 small planet across the Galaxy but soon she would grow even with the Programs.

Far away, a large planet by the name of Armageddon watched Shinzu's message. A tall man in a long black coat with four stars on each shoulder watched in disgust. He barked out an order to find out where that transmission came from and several techs ran around to different computers trying to track the signal. Lord General Dresk looked out the window at the ash desert wasteland of his homeworld. "Sir we have the location of the signal!" Dresk looked down at the tech, "well?" "Marlari VI sir." Dresk rubbed his chin in thought for a moment. Send a message to them." "What should I say sir?" "Never mind I'll do it you idiot, can you at least pretend you're compitent!" Dresk shoved the tech away and began transmitting. "This is Lord General Dresk of the planet of Armageddon in the Imperium of Man in the Solar Segmentum. This transmisson disturbed me and the other Imperial commanders. and I want to know what in the name of the God Emperor just happend! If this thing is a credible threat I will destroy it for the safety of the Imperium. If you have information that would be useful in combating it, it would be most welcome. Dresk out."

Joshua Beckham burst into the President’s office. He knew he’d catch hell for it, given how much the President loved unexpected guests. Or crises. And this could definitely be defined as a “crisis” in his book, or anyone else in the President’s government.

“Sir, we have a problem...” Beckham trailed off. He’d started talking the second he’d flung the door open, to ensure that he wasn’t cut off. It was only after a few moments that it sunk in what he was witnessing. The President, in full golfing garb, was apparently working on his putting.

“Bloody hell, Josh! In the middle of my backswing?” The President fumed, “This had better be damn important, if you’re willing to barge in here like that.”

“Yessir,” The President wasn’t going to like this. Not at all. “We just got a report from ISF Command: four corvettes, a frigate, and an escort carrier have gone AWOL.”

“AWOL? How the hell does a starship go AWOL?!”

“Hijacked would be the more appropriate term, sir,” he tepidly tried to put the best spin possible on it, “about an hour and a half ago we got a message from someone calling herself the Shinzu AI. We wrote it off as a loon with access to a tachyon booster. Concurrently, though, something tried to hack into our systems.”

“A cyberterror attack?”

“What we thought; but it wasn’t aimed at our 3C systems. Our ships themselves came under siege; we’d been prepping for something like this, so all of the mainline ships of the fleet were safe. Some of the older InSys stuff, however, wasn’t.”

“I assume we’ve dispatched forces to intercept?”

“Yessir. Task Force 16 is overtaking them as we speak. But sir, we’ve a few other problems.”

“Such as...?”

“Mainly, the ships are manned; we can’t simply open fire on them without killing our own people.”

The President folded his fingers. He hadn’t expected, or wanted, to hear something like that. “And, given the old idiom, when it rains, it pours. I assume there’s more.”

“Yessir,” Beckham sighed, as well, “the initial message from Shinzu came from CorpSac territory. A world they’ve named Marlari VI–“

“And, lemme guess; that’s exactly where our hijacked ships are headed, isn’t it?”

“Yessir. The two are most definitely related. And worthy of our concern. This Shinzu person or group espoused delusions of grandeur, or so we filed them away as at the time. Conquering the galaxy, things of that nature.”

“Of course,” the President rolled his eyes, while picking up the phone, “yeah, Cindy, get the Foreign Ministry on the line. Now."

Shinzu was sitting down reading the reports, mainy systems were fighting it off but they would fail. the ships were no use agenst her fleet they would only fall to her.

the city was still as it was befor but humans were not around, they were off in camps building thing or just dieing.

the factories were building the Ground forces massive Mechs, Sentianls and other things.
the orbital Shipyards were working as well more shipyards were being made to boost the prodution of the fleet.

thos are the number at the planet we dont know how mainy ships are under her control its alot more she controls over 150 of our ships. we adivse not goin to the system at all so far all probes and ships we sent were taken we're working out how but till then its unsafe we just pray we find out befor she become to powerful. she was designed to control our fleets and fighters the more powerful she gets the more she can control at the moment we belive she cant take control of ships with out the programs outside the system. any ship that was taken over was taken by the Program not her. we dont know what the Program is but its does damage.

he was in the V-net look like the real world but wasnt, he say the program there trying to brake down the Firewall.
"wow" he sead as the program went for him, it looked like Shinzu a little girl no older then 13.

"ahh how do i shut u down lil AI" he muttered then it came to him, an AI it may change but..."i know how to stop you" he pulled out his hands, 2 fingers were out "Black cobra" he sead and it summend his black cobra program.
a masisve black cobra came up "hows a little over load suit you?" he sead and the snake went for her. eating her suddenly the snake exploded. but the girl was there she was thinking talking she was confussed. the Cobra had overload it memary with junk the program couldnt handle it and it died. "well one down about million left no doupt it would change" he sead to him slef exiting the V-Net.

"oh a overloader" he replyed what he didnt know was that the program has infected him it was only a matter of time till it took over.
the programmer started to send 1000s of different oveloaders out to attack the programs. but sooner or later the AIs would not be affected by them well not the ones in the data banks.

In the Capitol City of Liberty City, President James Server was sitting at his office when his head of the Republic Intellegiance Agency entered.

"Mr. President, three of our agents that are in CorpSac have reported something unusual is going on in CorpSac." Director Sheridan said.

"I guess you didn't here." James said.

"What?"

"YOu just missed the Shinzu Broadcast. Apparently she has taken control of a vast area of space."

"In CorpSac Territory?" asked a surprised Sheridan.

"Yes! We don't know how unless that is what you are going to tell me."

"We don't know either. We just received info about the trouble but nothing concrete until now."

"Well get on it and send in Defense Secretary Cheney!"

"Yes sir."

When he left, Secretary Cheney entered the office.

"Robert! I need you to send a fleet to the BORDER of CorpSac Space. Do not Cross into there territory."

"Does this have to do with this Shinzu Proclamation?" He asked.

"Yes it does. Have Admiral Bush's fleet go there."

"Yes sir. Anything else?"

"No! your Dismissed."

3rd Battlegroup Flagship

On the ARCS Remembrance, Admiral Bush received a flash messege from the Pentagon.

"Oh crap." he muttered. He inputted his password and submitted to the eye scanner. When that was accomplished, he received the orders. He read them and his eyes bulge. "Oh my god." He quickly copied them to paper and walked onto the bridge. "We have new orders. Helm set course for the border to CorpSac territory but DO NOT cross it unless authorized."

"What's going on sir" the Captain asked.

"I'll tell you at 1400 hours. I want all senior commanders and all captains to report to my ready room at that time. Your going to love this."

"Yes sir."

The fleet changed course and begins to make its why to the border.

anyone goin to the planet lets put it this way if u sent 100 ships you would lose control of 50 of them. any number lower then that (50) then you will not be able to attack. therefor you will lose half your fleet until you find away to protect your ships.

At the main Khirabatii base...

"It appears from the burst transmission a crew member managed to send, that they ran into a massive fleet of over 500 ships. They fired as they ran, but as soon as they fired, they were taken over electronically. The automated defenses opened fire on them and killed over 90% of the crew in less than one minute."

"Jesus Christ....Well, I want our tech specialists to go over this. See if they can find anything that might help us combat this threat."

"And sir, we have receved news that it was a group called the Xion or something like that. The transmission was fuzzy. We were informed that anything electronic, can, and will be taken over; even planets."

"Well, looks like we have to go back to the origanal type of ship."

"Sir, we have completed production of over 300 of the fighters. Unfortunatly, they cannot take a hit of any kind or they will be ripped apart. Seeing as they cannot have sheilds, we have had to reinforce the hull drasticly, but it still cannot take a direct hit from any type of laser weapon."
"Well, its better than nothing. Try making some carriers. They could come in handy trying to take over a ship. And try to find the best pilots on our 5 different planets."

"Yessir, I will put the word out."

Captain Brigham Elliot sat ensconced in the command chair of the JDS Cold Harbor. In under a minute, his force of five ships would attempt to subdue a larger force of Juumanistran ships, with an exponentially larger number of hostile craft at an unknown distance. The data dump command had gotten him from DESC had been less than thorough: it read more like a diplomatic communique than a dump on force strength. His force couldn’t even use the Cold Harbor’s 72 fighters and bombers: they’d have to do such a quick turn around to keep from being turned into space dust by whatever enemy force may be out there they wouldn’t have time to scramble anything.

Elliot felt the deck shift, as the starfield of realspace replaced the cerulean blue of jumpspace. They’d arrived at Marlari VI; apparently far from the planet, as he didn’t find his force up to its eyeballs in enemies just yet. He saw multiple tracer lines, indicating that the assault had commenced. He’d given a standing order for all ships to open fire upon reversion to realspace: the destroyers and Allentown with torpedoes and the Cold Harbor with as many SSM-3 subtorpedoes could be jammed into the autoloaders.

His eyes fell upon a series of explosions: a torpedo from, he guessed by the launch vector as he saw it, the Altoona tore into the hijacked Megara-class frigate, vaporizing most of the ship. This set off a break in formation, as best as the remaining ships could, with the corvettes spraying fire as best they could: he’d been briefed the four in-question were enroute to be decommissioned when hijacked and had been stripped of the more advanced Hydra AARD systems. But it was too late: the second volley from the task force was already inbound, with the third being loaded. Suddenly, in one dramatic display, all four of the corvettes were impacted: only one wasn’t immediately vaporized, apparently struck by a subtorpedo. But the one that hadn’t been atomized took a full-bore Mk.4, meeting its demise in a fiery plume of debris.

That only left the JDS Dixie, the Hellespont-class escort carrier, to deal with...

“Sir! Incoming boogies! Counting...hell, too damn many! Two dozen and counting! And some of ‘em are huge, sir! Hell of a lot bigger than us!” The petty officer at Sensors called out. Hell. And things were going so well, too... Elliot thought to himself.

“Lock out Deep Flight and get us ready to jump. Get me the status on–“ his sentence was cut short as the Allentown succeeded in lacing a shieldless Dixie with a broadside from its Mark Is. The antimatter induced explosions were added to as a pair of Mk.4 torpedoes slammed into the craft, rendering her for all intents and purposes a burning piece of spacejunk.

“Jump coordinates are locked; force reports ready,” Astrogation had taken its sweet time, Elliot thought to himself, but gave the nod. The jump turbines rumbled and the deck pitched, as the Cold Harbor and her task force warped out of realspace.

They'd managed to do their job in a little under a minute and a half. Not bad. Not bad at all.

The black optical reflective paint and shielding that gone around the engine block on the heavily modified SF-8 Dragon designated Deep Flight hadn’t been cheap. They’d retrofit the superlong range bomber into a scout ship, making it immune to as many forms of detection as they could without compromising themselves. She’d be detected eventually; but she’d have at least twelve hours to snoop around, more of reactor stayed off and he kept still. Of course, given the circumstances, the Deep Flight had been stripped of almost anything that could be used if compromised: the jump drive, weapons, sublights, the computer corps, commsystems, the works. About the only things the techs left him was a commercial subspace transmitter, his sensor system, and the life support system.

Major Scott Weston just wished they’d left him a walkman or something. He’d be observing everything with the he could with the naked eye, compiling whatever he thought important to add to the constant streaming of his sensor system’s data on the derelict channel the transmitter was tuned to. It was going to be boring as hell floating out here waiting out here for someone to come and get him; being bold and assuming anyone ever came for him, at all.

[OOC: CorpSac, you're going to have to understand something: people don't automatically have to have their stuff controlled by Shinzu. In fact, an argument can be made against her being able to zap anything. It makes sense that she can hijack CorpSac ships and ships that have systems similar to those employed by CorpSac, due to her familiarity with them. But with other systems, there's compatibility problems; how Windows viruses don't infect Macs in most cases, for instance. I wouldn't consider this so much crying "godmod" as providing fair warning that it's not exactly a good idea to create villains with omnipotent powers to control everything vital to space RPing. As it stands, the only way to deal with Shinzu is to gather in a circle and chant "Deus ex machina...deus ex machina...deus ex machina...SOLUTION!"]

P.S.: Since no one's actually RPing Shinzu at the moment, I think I can fairly say that the hijacked ships are still mine, since they never actually joined the Shinzu fleet.

Here we have someone with the whole of CorpSac's resources at her disposal, capable of doing any number of things that a conventional government or dictator could not, addition to the capability to impair most things that are electronics-based. Having her be able to generate hell as the EW Machine from the Abyss is one thing. The ability to zap things and claim them as her own is another entirely.

1) Where'd you say to "think small"? I've cased the topic twice and haven't found any mention of that.
2) The context of the list were things that Shinzu could control, not things she could use to establish control.
3) Given there's no floor and no ceiling to future tech, ships being built by nanites isn't worth drawing one's attention to, even with emphasis, given that we don't know CorpSac's standard building techniques. She could have been using nanites to assemble the ship because that was the only way she knew how. Additionally, the emphasis could have been construed to be towards the ships themselves and not the mist.
4) Hull burrowing nanites? Insert standard disclaimer about shields, the strength of starship armor, and anti-breech force fields [here].

They were to be shot out of all of the modified torpedo tubes and fly into the Shinzu ships. They each carried a nuke that would only detonate on direct contact with another ship. So shooting it would not set it off. It was a suicide mission, but 1000 lives was worth much less than 10000000000000. The whole universe was at stake and Khirabatii was not gonna sit by and watch it happen. They hurried the production and completed another 1000 so that they could send two times the firepower. It wasnt much, but it was something.

2000 small ships flew away from the Khirabatii fleet, heading towards the Shinzu ships. They Shinzus opened fire and scored hits immediatly as there were so many targets. Only about 1180 made it too the Shinzus. As the first ones connected with there shields, the sheilds began to glow white and then began to shrink, until they imploded on themselves. Hundreds slammed into the Shinzu ships, sending so many shockwaves out, that the shockwaves did more damage than the actual explosions. The Shinkzu ships were ripped apart, sending huge chunks flying off into space. As the Khirabatii battle group watched with open mouths, over 500 Shinzu ships jumped into space right in front of them.

"GET US OUT OF HERE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!"

The Shinzus opened fire and blew threw some of the smaller ships, while the lager moved to cover them. In the blink of an eye, half of the Shinzu fleet had been destroyed, and 60% of the Khirabatii fleet was destroyed as well. Not to bad for a small empire eh....

OOC: I didn't think that the probe would be effective, but I thought about it after posting the one where I sent it out and it seems anything metallic going near an MRI will be immobilized.

IC: The probe from Kiyama-Kyoto floated, its drives immobilized by a rather cautious Shinzu move, hoping not to damage its contents. A laboratory on Europa watches for any sign of anything unexpected, waiting for it to be taken over by the enemy.

But nothing happens.

Communication from the base orders the probe to jump out immediately back for Kiyama-Kyoto territory for inspection.

On the Battlegroup Flagship, Admiral Bush was issueing orders when another flash messege on a regular comm channel was issued.

IC: Davin sat on the Edo, reading the message just hand-delivered by CorpSac forces. "Then there's not much we can do for CorpSac. Their populace will be executed if we're right about Shinzu's feelings on 'Pure Organics'." He paused, then his face hardened, "Now we've just got to do what we can for everyone that's left. I'm ordering a fleet-wide state of emergency. Order all colony ships to jump as far away from CorpSac territory as possible. Find whatever friends we can, send them to CapsuleCorp or something since they're not yet involved in this, just make sure all orders are sent by hand so that we don't force them to get involved. Our first responsibility is to make sure they get away. But we can't spare any force, our entire military force will have to mobilize to establish contact with the remainder of CorpSac and all her allies. We need a united front."

An engineer rushed onto the bridge.

"Sir, we've completed the magnetic shielding you requested. It'll be an easy retrofit, the crew of each ship could carry it out within hours and it should create a large enough magnetic field."

Davin brightened, "Really, now, it's about time we had some good news. Call the CorpSac representative back in... and be sure to thank Leonhard for sending those engineers."

A few minutes later the captain of the frigate sent to the Titan Fleet returned, looking downtroden, "I take it you have an answer for the empireress?"

"Yes, most certainly. Tell her we have a defense prepared to stop the enemy from taking over our ships. Take these specifications to her."

IC: The whole of the Titan fleet came to life. Quickly at the head of the fleet emerged the gargantuan dreadnaughts, Edo, Kiyama, and Kyoto. Davin Shiryu smiled to himself as crewmen worked feverishly to install modifications "We may not have as much power as the enemy, but at least we've eliminated their trump card. All ships jump in two minutes."

Not to long ago, Corpsac conquered Macross, but didn't have much time to spread its technology over the planet, and thus didn't quite fall to the Shinzu onslaught. But now, Veredian ships once more stood guard over the colony, as remnant Corpsac vessels, a trio of corvettes and a loki frigate, all crippled as most of their computer systems were offline, stood alongside them.

Admiral Dallaerin looked out at his fleet of fifty warships, a large chunk of the VSN, as they awaited for what they felt would be the inevitable arrival of Shinzu warships.

"Admiral, engineers reporting in from the DESC Gallahad, it'll take a day to replace the computer programs with Veredian programs, a week in drydock to replace the actual computer systems themselves" the comm. officer reported.

"Well, we can't spare any vessels to tow them to a repair yard, so order the engineers to replace the programs" the admiral ordered.

"Yes sir...sir, I was wondering, why are so many nations being affected by this, but we've been spared?" the comm. officer asked as he relayed the admiral's message.

"Lieutenant, we have not been spared, we lost the Saratoga, City of Memphis, Lusitania, and a number of areas on the colonies, on stations, and in Veredia itself. But, we have suffered little compared to others simply because we have no androids, or cyborgs, or AI systems, and little in the way of automated systems. Primarily because we don't have as advanced technology in those fields as others, but also because we just don't see the need, or don't trust, some of those things. Take automated weapons for example, no Veredian in their right mind would trust their defenses to an artificial intelligence system. Our only automated systems are simply programmed routines that do things such as check core temperature every fifteen seconds, the closest thing to AI we have could never adapt, or generate its own thoughts, it only has a large list of options to choose from to deal with certain..." the admiral was cut off as the tactical officer started yelling.

"Sir! Sensors detecting a hyperspace point forming, but no vessel is being detected, likely She'Klan class, they wouldn't have stealth on unless they were spying, and DESC ships aren't going to be going around spying on us given the present situation!" the tactical officer yelled.

"Okay, all ships open fire a spread, pattern Delat three!" the admiral ordered as he flicked his fleetwide comm. switch in his chair's right armrest.

Instantly the fifty Veredian warships sent fire pouring into the hyperspace jump point, and the She'Klan corvette exploded violently.

"All ships purge systems and reboot using hard copies!" the admiral ordered as the whole fleet shutdown as their systems were purged in case Shinzu infetants made their way into the fleet from the comm. system. Within a minute technicians were already reloading all the software and databases into the ships' computers from hard copies, using flashlights to see what they were doing, and having practiced this routine numerous times before departing for Macross, had the ship up and running in only two minutes, as the hard copies had multiple programs that would allow the systems to install themselves to ensure there were no bugs or glitches, although it wasn't perfect.

"Admiral, fleet is once again operational!" the comm. officer reported.

"Good, order all ships to prepare for an enemy attack, and order the engineers planetside to get that grand cannon working as soon as possible" the admiral ordered as he went back to waiting for a Shinzu fleet.

Any Corpsac vessels not under the influence of Shinzu are welcome to Veredia, we lack much of the technology that Shinzu can control, and using programs and firewalls received from other nations, we are keeping Shinzu from gaining control of our computer systems, although mostly everything is manual so Shinzu can only control very little of our ships. Any DESC forces are welcome to join with VSN forces in keeping Shinzu at bay, and any Corpsac civilians that have escaped Shinzu's onslaught are welcome to land on New Dragonhold and settle there until this situation is resolved. We believe we may be one of the safest places to be, and would be even safer with the addition of DESC remnant forces.

Veredia certainly has the right idea. Kiyama-Kyoto is ordering all ships to update all computerized back-ups.

OOC: We've basically been spared to date as well, just a couple of probes, but in large part that's probably because of the stuff you've said, we use huge crews instead of automated systems, and because we're not seen as a threat by comparison. Being relatively small does that.

OOC: i also havnt experienced so much, having advanced computer systems and nano-tech of my own.

"Queen, Research labs in the Manaan System tell us they have developed a small nanite that could be harmful to the Shinzu Nano-bots, it is designed to latch onto a nano-bot, multiply and pratically devour the nano-bot, the nanites so far have proved succesful on our own nano-bots, One other thing, there is also one theoretical idea we have had, but it involves one specially programmed type of nano-bot, it can actually wrestle the ships computers from Shinzu."

The Tragix fired at the Shinzu Vessels, the Ion beams from the front of the Tragix sliced across the 2 vessels, and stopped.

"Sir, weapons have just gone offline, plasma overload.. need 20 seconds till the conduit comes back online"

"Well.. we will see what happens now"

The Mist's surrounding the Shinzu ships began to disappear.. slowly but surely, the nanites were working.

"We have 3 ion turrets back online sir, special nano-bots have been dispatched"

"Hold weapons fire.."

The Nano-bots, tiny little specks of nothingness found their way to the Shinzu vessels, and their fight for the computer systems began, no-one knew how shinzu would react to an infection taking her own ships back.

*Veredia*

The shipyards of Veredia were busy at work pumping out new warships for the VSN in the face of the new threat from Shinzu, all the nation was geared once more for war, and even the repair yards were retrofitting freighters and transports for war.

The newest ship of the fleet, the VSS Sunspear, a large beamship carrying only a handful of small turrets and one immense beam cannon, basically a mobile spaceborne version of the Grand Cannon, fell into position with Baron Donegal's fleet.

The fleet entered hyperspace and headed to Corpsac space, emerging some time later in one of there outer systems. There, a force of Shinzu ships moved out to attack them. A large mist flowed from some of the ships towards the Veredian fleet.

A battlecruiser, the VSS Pride of Ularia was encompassed and its computer systems were slowly taken over by Shinzu. The process was slower than it would have been if it was a Corpsac vessel, as not all the systems were tied in to each other, and there were no AIs or automated systems like on Corpsac ships. Yet it nevertheless took it over, as the mist started to take control of a dozen other ships before the fleet knew how to counter the mist.

Hydra warhead-equipped missiles soared towards the mist, detonating, and destroying most of the nanobots before they could get to the Veredian ships. More Hydra missiles impacted the lost ships, while Sunspear targeted the battlecruiser and fired.

The monstrous yellow beam slammed into the ship and the Sunspear raked the beam along the hull of the lost vessel, the beam widened and almost the whole vessel disintegrated amidst the beam's energy.

The Sunspear stopped firing, having to let the cannon cool and recharge it fell back behind a pair of destroyers which lobbed missiles towards the fast approaching shinzu ships. Then the second surprise Donegal had for the Shinzu vessels opened up, the new Justice class missile ship launched 108 Hydra equipped missiles at the approaching fleet, devastating the hordes of fighters and warships as the other ships of the Veredian fleet opened fire with guns and missiles. A spread of conventional anti-ship missiles slammed into a Tigerclaw class destroyer as it broke apart. But the Shinzu fleet was fighting back, and five Veredian ships broke apart before the recharged hyperspace engines kicked in and the fleet fled.

2nd Homeworld

Shinzu was annoyed the veredia had attacked, Arenumberg had something to fight off the nanos for now and to top it off she was still haveing the flash backs and the dreams.

"No, let them work, but please issue orders for the fleet to change course for Arenumberg. And send a scout ahead to inform them of our approach."

Meanwhile, the Fleet of Chill had been upgraded, expanded, and restocked. It made the warp jump to the edge of Corpsac territory and were ordered to wait until they recieved permision from the leader of Corpsac.

The enemy ETA is thirty minutes according to our sensors but we're as ready for them as we could ever be." The Kechi had just reported success on magnetics as they came into realspace. "Let's show the enemy what we're made of."

The whole of the Titan Fleet's forces were present, all of the Kiyama-Kyoto and Eulerian craft.

Gronde's first carrier had joined the fleet, a Behemoth class carrier carrying fighters and dropships designed for planetfall missions. With it came several Thunderhawk gunships. Contrary to its name, its main pupose was to serve as an armed transport. Enjir also had 3 armored battalions and 5 space marine divisions. He already had over 30 infantry devisions; 10 of them mechanized. With them was 15 artilery battalions. This was a lot to be gambling with.
He would have to make this one chance count.

Enjir hoped that the message with inspire the other nations to take action soon. Enjir's fleet alone wouldn't be enough, so if the other nations attacked now, they could destrow, or at the very least destract Shinzu's forces. He prepared the fleet to make a warp jump to the 2nd homeworld.

IC:Upon recieving the message the council dispatched an urgent message to the ChitterBoil which is currentley at the Veredian peace talks to hurry up. The rest of the fleet was put in the command of Ikkit claw who is chief warlock of Clan Skyre. The messages were sent earlier by perpetraters in the clan and were summarily executed by most painful methods. Shinzu arived and fought earlier, but classic skaven engineering caused all ships possessed by the AI exploded in green fire. Total casualties- 10 armed merchant ships.

the armada opened fire attack all Shinzu ships the battle was short the shinzu didnt bother trying to take the armada it was strange it was like they were testing the armada but for wat?.
2 corvettes jumped right next the the DESC Mayne and opened fire attacking the bridge section. the corvettes were destroyed but there task was done.
as they attack a massive explosion hit the bridge killing a few people but also the Empiress was mortaly wounded.

OOC: the nano-tech and nano-bot altered 11 orbital defence platforms, a small shipyard and 7 destroyers

OOC: Corpsac, just how many systems and how many people are in those systems that are in your empire....cuz thats one hell of a fleet if I calculated right lol. By the way, I was assuming you wanted both Arenumberg and me to RP the battles, if you wanted it to go back and forth, just say so and I'll delete this post. Arenumberg, you said you had a fleet at my homeworld, well, you gotta post losses also, although I would easily understand if the fleet fled

*Macross System*

Admiral Dallaerin looked at the newly arrived Corpsac fleet with a sigh of relief, though his fleet could have handled the Shinzu fleets, he had already lost 13 ships and didn't want to lose any more.

"Attention Corpsac vessels, this is Admiral Dallaerin of the Veredian Space Navy, we have taken over defense of this system since the Dark Empire fell, and its good to see some DESC ships still around. We got word of the empress' demise, and we offer our condolences. We have ground forces and engineers planetside, they have secured the colony and provided law enforcement, and the engineers are working on bringing the grand cannon back online. We have several of your vessels here, although they had a tough time with Shinzu, and are not quite battle worthy"

*Veredia*

Baron Donegal's force had returned, and now he sat in his command chair looking over the new report. 560 Shinzu controlled ships were on their way to Veredia, and would arrive momentarily. Despite the mass manufacturing of ships at scaffolding and shipyards across Veredia, they still number only 110 warships, and roughly a hundred corvettes. Several hundred civilian vessels were there also, getting refits done at the repair yards.

Then all of a sudden hyperspace jump points started opening up, countless jump points. The fleets of civilian ships tried to serve as a screen, many of them fielded light armaments that were standard for warding off light pirate attacks, and others had been retrofitted for war. The warships and corvettes moved up with them and they fired at the Shinzu ships pouring out of hyperspace.

"Destroyer flotillas one through three move up and support the missile ships!" Donegal ordered as the eighteen destroyers fell in around the two missile ships and coordinated fire.

As the Shinzu fleet emerged, the two missile ships emptied 216 hydra equipped missiles at the fleet. The Hydra warheads smashed into corvettes and frigates, or exploded in clouds of fighters and nanobots, destroying and savaging enemy formations. The civilian ships poured what pitiful armament they had, blowing away two dozen corvettes and a handful of larger ships before the Shinzu opened up. One of the repair yards was ripped to pieces, dozens of civilian ships were obliterated in seconds, fusion missiles and torpedoes poured outwards, ripping through twenty nine warships and fourteen corvettes.

Three squadrons of twelve corvettes backed by a hundred civilian ships rushed at the Shinzu fleet, unloading a large barrage of missiles and raining down a curtain of fire. Fifteen Tigerclaw destroyers, a pair of Empire battleships, thiry frigates, and fifty corvettes smashed through, shattering half of the corvettes and blowing away eighty civilian ships. The remaining corvettes and civilian ships set for ramming speed, less than half made it as battered and burning ships smashed into destroyers, frigates, and one transport hit a Manson in the middle, breaking it into two large chunks which drifted without power away.

The two fleets exchanged more fire, more Hydras went off, more fusion warheads tore through the Veredian ships. "All units fall back to within range of the shipyards and planetary defenses!" the Baron ordered as a Manson blew away a frigate and turned its guns onto the battlecruiser he commanded.

An immense cloud of a thousand Shinzu fighters blew away two hundred Veredian strike craft, losing only three dozen. The Shinzu strike craft poured fire and missiles into the Veredian fleet, although not very dangerous by themselves, the sheer volume ensured the destruction of sixty ships. The remaining missile ship unloaded another hundred Hydra missiles into the oncoming fleet, the immense explosions clearing away clusters of corvettes and a handful of larger ships. The Shinzu fleet decided to deal with the deadly missile ships and concentrated a large volume of fire on it, blowing apart the eighteen destroyers serving as escort for it and the ship itself.

"Sunspear we need your cannon! Fire now!" Donegal screamed into the hectic comm. system.

"Sir we can't! We used to much power blowing up that battlecruiser last battle and a standard strength blast would destroy the ship!" the Sunspear's captain replied.

"Goddamnit we have no choice, we have to hold them off or Veredia will be destroyed!" Donegal roared.

"Ye..yes sir...give us a target" the captain replied.

"I don't care, anything thats big and has guns!" Donegal yelled as more blasts rocked his ship, which responded along with several other nearby ships and destroyed the attacking dreadnought.

"FOR VEREDIA!" the Sunspear's captain screamed as the ship went at full speed into the fray, and fired a blast at a Ravanos Heavy Cruiser. The ship was blasted to pieces by enemy fire, armour tearing off and small explosions, but then the Veredian crewmen and officers watching it realized that it wasn't from enemy fire, the small bits of energy erupting around it and the damage was coming from inside the ship. The ship fired, its beam of yellowish energy tearing apart the back of the Ravanos. The Shinzu ship exploded, but the Sunspear was also lost as it broke apart into a field of debris.

The fleet was being pushed back and the shipyards and other repair yards came into range, another fourty ships, some of them from the shipyards, lacking hyperspace engines, some lacking even entire sections, but if it could fly and had guns, it was launched. The shipyard defenses came online, and dozens of new particle beams tore into Shinzu warships, which responded in kind.

A hundred civilian ships concentrated their fire in groups of ten but were quickly cut down to only fifty and they opted to ram instead, claiming thirty Corpsac warships. The two fairly new carriers of the VSN entered the fray, each launching 216 fighters and firing their twin particle beams and quad pulse cannons at corvettes, blowing away a dozen before the small ships ganged up on them and destroyed them both.

"All ships, fall back even more, we need to get the enemy in range of planetside defenses!" Donegal yelled. The bloodied fleet pulled back even further, even as one of the military shipyards broke apart under fire. The gun platforms that littered the area blazed away and themselves were destroyer, but managed to claim three Tigerclaws and two dozen other ships.

The planet based particle beams, which were dotted across the surface, some in rows of up to a dozen, others at military bases, others simply randomly placed alongside pulse batteries, immense anti-orbital quad pulse cannons. Literally a hundred particle beams slammed into the Shinzu fleet followed by barrages of pulse fire. Then the two grand cannons opened up, each claiming half a dozen ships each, then the anti-orbital Hydra-5 silos opened and filled the skies with fire.

The orbital platforms, immense monstrosities packing vast firepower each claimed enemy warships and clusters of corvettes. But the Shinzu fleet was within range of Veredia, and they did not let the opportunity go by. While the endless hundreds of Shinzu strike craft continued to rain destruction on the Veredian ships, the Shinzu armadas opened up on Veredia. Although many people made it to orbital bombardment shelters, they were a small minority. One of the two Grand Cannons was destroyed, and more than half the particle beams and pulse cannons were lost. The silos were also targeted, and two thirds of them were also destroyed. Yet nevertheless Hydra-5 missiles streaked into the sky, turning night into day, as Shinzu ships, no matter there size, were blown away by thew warheads. A combined armada of a hundred civilian ships, including Corporate owned corvettes and VSN warships made an attack run on an armada of a hundred Shinzu ships, blowing away a third before fusion missiles and gunfire tore them apart.

The civilian starport, and smaller trading stations were ripped to pieces by the Shinzu ships, and the military shipyards were fast losing their particle cannons. More Veredian ships went on suicide missions, but with Shinzu strike craft darting around more or less freely the Veredian armada, it seemed hopeless.

Then the cavalry arrived, in the form of six thousand Veredian Air Force fighters. The growing mass of fighters passed through the Veredian armada and cleared away the Shinzu strike craft, but not before losing a fifth of their number. They continued on towards the Shinzu warships, combining their firepower ten squadrons at a time, destroying dozens and dozens of Shinzu ships. The fleets continued to exchange fire, the last orbital platform emptied itelf of its firepower and succumb to a volley of Shinzu fire.

The VSN naval command and shipyards finally ran out of missiles, both Hydra and conventional. But the air force had given them hope. The Shinzu ships switched from targeting cities on the ground and once more targeted the Veredian ships. The Veredian fleet split into formations of ten and coordinated fire, destroying shinzu ship after ship, but at a heavy cost. The Arenumberg ships had suffered dearly as well, but had integrated themselves into the Veredian armada.

Three Veredian frigates and a destroyer along with a hundred strike craft succumbed to another problem the fleet was facing, conversion by Shinzu, but the crews and pilots knew what had to be done, and the ships exploded as explosives jury rigged inside the vessels were set off as soon as systems started failing.

More ships on both sides feel, but as the last hydra-5 missiles blew away the last two Ravanos cruisers and five Tigerclaw destroyers only a hundred ships remained to be dealt with. Then the last Hydra-5 warhead exploded, claiming a quartet of She'Klans just after they blew apart a pair of civilian ships. Two of the civilian shipyards broke apart under fire, and half of one of the military yards was burning. The ships under construction were smashed apart as well.

The air force fighters continued their assault, targeting corvettes and blowing them away by the dozen, but not without losses, their numbers had been trimmed to four thousand, and many were returning to warships, and the remaining air fields planetside for more missiles to boost their firepower.

The fourty remaining Veredian warships and thiry nine corvettes along with a hundred civilian ships made a run at the remaining Shinzu frigates, the Shinzu ships fired, blasting apart thirty ships before they finally gave up fighting and simply settled for firing at the planet, the firepower of which had been trimmed back to a mere tenth of its previous strength.

The remaining grand cannon, much of its shielding having been blown away by orbital bombardment, opened up, punching through three frigates and four corvettes before orbital fire destroyed it.

A thousand air force fighters, laden with missiles, made a run at the Shinzu corvettes finally finishing off the last one, and moving onto several frigates and the last two carriers.

Donegal looked from the torn up bridge of his crippled battlecruiser and saw the last two Veredian troopships pumelling a pair of Loki frigates into space dust with their multiple magneton cannons. The air force fighters and whatever Veredian ships still had fight left in them tore up the final Shinzu frigates.

The battle was at last over, Donegal looked out from the viewport at the scene of slaughter. At least a thousand charred hulks of lost ships drifted in an ocean of debris. Large chunks from space stations and orbital defense platforms mixed in with the debris while thousands of bodies from the Veredian armada stood frozen in horrible scenes of death. Thousands of destroyed fighters drifted also, when Commodore Tyrell, command of the Air Force reported in.

"Baron Donegal, this is Commodore Tyrell, I lost half my number up here, only 1863 are left, and those, 297 are drifting and need pickup, all of their transponders are working fine, so I hope it won't be that much of a problem. We are heading planetside to be refitted with grapplers to pick up escape pods from lost ships and will be bringing them back down to the ground" the commodore said as his two thousand plus fighters headed back through the atmosphere.

"Uh, Baron, I really think you should take a look at this" the tactical officer said, his face pale, as he transferred one of the few remaining satellites' camera display to the main viewscreen, which surprisingly still rose out of its compartment just below the front of the bridge, and surprisingly still worked. The screen showed parts of Veredia's surface, what used to be cities, turned into crates, and mountains housing bombardment shelters utterly flattened.

Donegal sat in shock in his command chair as he stuttered the words, "how..how many..de..dead?"

"Ground forces are going through shelters and any places that have been settled and are stating fourty million dead, although classified reports coming in from planetside and naval command are reporting numbers of at least eighty million, which is likely to grow up towards ninety to a hundred million" the comm. officer stated.

For the first time in his life, Donegal vomitted. It wasn't that big of a deal, half the bridge was in ruin, and two thirds of the bridge crew was dead or dieing. There were also several mounds of vomit, mixed in with the smell of ozone and blood in the room anyways.

The Arenumberg fleet at veredia was its now.. last defence, veredia couldnt fight for itself, the fleet maintained its orbit, it should of finished its nano modifications earlier, but now they were ready, they would destroy the shinzu ships, or take control of them themselves.

OOC: Arenumberg, I'm now assuming your ships didn't flee, so what were the losses? I want to know if I should send the half dozen or so relatively battle worthy ships left to go help Corpsac attack Shinzu. Besides, you aren't Veredia's only defense, just its primary...we still have...say 10 ground based guns? We can still knock a corvette out of the sky lol...

OOC: Looks like Veredia probably would have been a better one for me to go to, just based on need, but I was closer to Arenumberg. *shrug*

IC: The Titan Fleet waited, watching the area astrogation predicted the enemy would enter realspace in, waiting for the arrival of an enemy sensors said were only minutes away.

On screens on every ship in every major thoroughfare and chamber, the face and voice of Davin Shiryu showed.

"Greetings, my fellow comrades in arms. As you know, the enemy is en route, they are nearly here. Yet we are prepared.

"Veredia sends word of great losses. Yet these losses are not without reason--Veredia has won! They have fought against a force greater than the one that approaches, wielding a force primarily of converted civilian craft, and they have won! The Veredian force was outnumbered far worse than we shall be, and they have obtained victory! We are right, and those who are right must have might! Might SHALL be for right! Might for right!"

Judging by the people on the bridge, Davin's speech had had quite the effect on his fleet. Cheers lasted for over half a minute, only subsiding when the image of the Prime Minister and Admiral of the fleet shouted the order to commence operations, astrogation having signalled one minute to enemy arrival, his voice magnified over the din.

Crews resumed their stations and over the minute a calm fell, and then, all at once, astrogation reported the arrival of the first of the enemy. The Titan Fleet Omega ships began firing all at once.

OOC: I'll let Arenumberg post, it is their planet. Do you want me to post my forces?

OOC: lol veredia the aramdas are attacking across the border and if u want to know i only have 5 DESC primary Aramdas 2 DESC Secondary Aramdas (normaily sitting in a Shipyard and not used unless needed) 4 Defences aramdas (non-hyperspace lower up keep) 4 Police Aramdas (different budget tho and mainly Corvettes and Frigates with a few carriers and destroyers) and the rest of the ships in my empire are own by corporations or the other houses (tho the other houses are smaller ones and oly have up to Frigate class ships and maby a carrier here and there if they got the power and money) and ive nearly got 1 billion people :D at bloody last :P across about 13-14 systems (mineing and few full colonies and orbital colonies)

the Aramda was sending down Dropships to reinforce the ground forces telling the populase plans for Ground battries simple ones and only take a few weeks to make. Macross was goin to be the new C&C for the aramda the new empiress went planet side to see the last of the populace of the Empire. she didnt like being this weak and she was goin to have to pull in alot of favors to protect it till the Armadas were back in action.
the populace looked scard and she didnt blame them the empire was playing god and now the god they made was out of control. the research bases on the planet were small but the data the Aramda was carrying was being worked on. they had to ativate the fail safe in shinzu they just had to....

OOC: Just based on my rough estimates, thats two thousand ships for the primary and secondary armadas...I really need to build up my own fleet in that case lol BTW, Corpsac, I thought you meant the armadas were attacking Veredia itself...

On the ground at Macross, Veredian ground forces that had been used to secure the colony after the collapse of Corpsac took up honour guard positions as the new Empress landed on the planet. There, General Lalime greeted her to offer her the support of his forces.

"Greetings Empress, I am General Lalime, commander for the 1st Royal heavy cavalry division, Veredian ground forces. I'd like to offer my condolences in regards to your mother's death, and offer the support of all six divisions here on Macross. Use us however you need us" the General said as he approached her.

*Sol System, Asteroid mining bases*

The six ships that had been sent to secure the asteroid installations, lost to Corpsac not to long ago, read over the reports from the fighting at Veredia. The Veredian fleet had been devastated, and there were countless dead, but they had prevailed. The ships however, tried to push on, and move on with new duties. Some of the remaining civilian ships arrived, with a small fleet of tugs and other construction craft, and along with personnel from the mining bases, went to work constructing a new shipyard.

Raw materials from the mines were also loaded onto what few transports they had and sent to Veredia, to help with the rebuilding. The Seventh destroyer flotilla watched as the work progressed with amazing speed, the workers worked furiously, the deaths of their fellow Veredians burned into their minds along with the singular purpose of revenge.

*Veredia*

The berths at the remaining repair yards had filled up instantly, the battlecruiser of Baron Donegal was being gutted, and more or less rebuilt. Large sections of destroyed battlecruisers that were found to be in better shape than the parts of Donegal's ship itself.

Tugs went about, salvaging what they could, as millions on the surface cleared away the rubble and rebuilt the factories, and mines using every bit of technology and every person available.

With so many people working, and all of them working with the burning desire for revenge, they got a ton of work done quickly. Even the shipyards were being rebuilt, and new destroyers and missile ships were being constructed. At the civilian yards, corvettes and frigates were being built. On the surface, factories worked hard to manufacture new Hydra missiles, which had proven so effective at destroying ships and formations of fighters, although the missiles were expensive, and Veredia's coffers would have been drained by now were it not for the fact that everyone worked freely, and food and power was distributed freely among them.

ic> The Fleet of Chill was still waiting for the right time to jump. Gronde, with the help of the Land of Chill, had constructed its first Dreadnought. The Dreadnought arrived with 5 corvettes and joined the Fleet of Chill. A good number of ships from the Horned Rat had also arrived. They still needed a little more. Besides, their secret plan to make a successful warp jump wasnt quite ready yet.

Meanwhile, a cloaked ship reached its destination near the 2nd Homeworld. It wasn't as close as they had hoped, but at least they would make inside the system. The ship uncloaked, revealing itself as one of Gronde's Warp beacon ships. It imediatly started to open a warp portal. It would take over a minute before it would be big enough to bring in the Capital ships. Gronde didn't normally use these portals, but they didnt expect that they could simply make a jump into the system. They may not have that much time before Shinzu detects them and sends some of her forces to destroy the warp beacon. Even so, it was still lage enough to bring in the fighters, they may be able to hold them off.

Enjir saw the warp portal and imeditly ordered his fighters through.

I sent around 50 warp beacon ships into the system that Sinzu was in. The law of probability says that at least one would make it in. (They were all cloaked) The warp gates that they open are tears in space(as opposed to folds) they provide two way passages through space. So, instead of teleporting, they creat their own rout. these take anywhere from 10 seconds (at short range) to 5 minutes (if they are on the other end of the universe or something) to open large enough to allow the Super Capital ships to pass through. They require a warp beacon at both side of the portal. They are not uses often because they are inconvient and can allow troavel both ways, meaning enemy ships could also pass through it from the other side.

The Gronde ships exited from there warp out side the system, the Empiress had warned them that the system was a fortress but they seemed not to care.
as the ships moved towards the systems the Phase Mines poped out of Hyperspace after detecting ships in normal space. Across the Gronde fleet Phase mines apeared there magntic Clamps ativated and they dirfted towards the Gronde ships Explodeding in a Anti-Matter explosion.

Back at macross the empiress heard news of Gronde jumping outside of the Home system.

"i cant do that my lady befor your mother died she ordered me to keep you out of the Fighting and that you could not overturn it your brother is to leed the assult" the General replyed "and the whole command was also ordered the same"
"what but why?" she asked him
"only the empiress know" the general replyed to her and turned and walked away.

"Dang! The empireress is calling for all who would join the attack on Shinzu to be at Macross in two and a half hours."

The enemy would be arriving in thirty seconds and Davin wanted the fleet to stay and help the people of Arenumberg, yet the strike against Shinzu herself was an opportunity not to be passed up. While the fleet had been moved by his speech and was prepared to fight it seemed that they might have to leave the battle early. Yet he would have to act as though they would definitely be staying for the whole battle regardless or risk a loss in this elevated morale.

"Conn, hail Arenumberg immediately. We need to know if they would rather that we stay here. I'd like to be there for the final battle, but if our allies need us here we will remain for the length of the battle."

ic> Back at Gronde's capital, Gronde(lol), Master Kalgar's brother was in Kalgar's office, filling in for him. He had finished reading all of Kalgar's orders before the fleet had made its jump. The last instruction called for another massive spam attack. This time the target was Shinzu herself. Kalgar's brother pressed the res button on the desk and over 100 trillion spam mesages were sent directly to Shinzu from Gronde's powerfull spam machine. Kalgar's brother chuckled, "Who knows, maybe that techno bitch will buy a vacation home on one of our moons. Ha! "

"Anything yet?" Enjir asked his Vise admeral.
"Nothing yet sire--" he began, when the scanners and sensers began going off. "There are multiple mines that have just been detected!"
"I have got it taken care of," said Enjir. He launched several vortex torpedos. They activated quickly and sucked the bulk of the mines into them, or shot by the fleets anti fighter lasers. Enjir's ship was unharmed, as was most of the fleet. The Leviathen Dreadnought wasnt so lucky however, being the largest target, the mines had latched on to it too quickly to be stopped. The dreadnought was reduced to a huge chunk of debri. The carrier was slightly damaged as was 3 of the corvettes. One corvette was destroyed
"Ok, lets avoid situations like that from now on," said the Admiral, "we were lucky this time and we cant afford many losses like that."
Admiral Enjir hopped that the spam attack that he was told about would interfear with Shinzu's ability to controll the system.
The fleet of Chill recovered itself and began carfully advancing into the home system.

Meanwhile, the factories of Gronde and the astroid mines were working full time to produce war materials and weapons. With the help of their allies, the agro-world in their system was working hard to feed the war time nations. The great forges of Gronde constantly cranked out new ships for the Emperial Fleets.

shinzu was getting annoyed "WHO DOING THIS" she shouted as the spam came she was trying to trace the sorce "there" she smiled and sent lots of programs to attack the Gronde systems.
the damage had been done tho she had lost 32% control of thing in the Outlaying systems and fleets mainy attacks on other people had stoped as the automated systems kicked back in sending the ships to the nearst Empire colony. she decied to shunt most of here power into defending the home system.

The Gronde fleet tho hadnt cleared the mine feild yet but shinzu wasnt completey in control of the mines so if she sent her own ships they might get attacked as well. she had alread got the one black hole cannon to target the incomeing fleet but with the problems she was haveing she didnt know if it would hit effectively.

"empiress the gronde attack has given us about 4 system back with full colonies and mining post and such back" an aid reported " reports that the Ground forces have taken the places back" he smiled
"grate prepare for the push All ships to jump now" she ordered "but send some ships to the Colonies and such"
"yes mam i will send the surrport fleet out to do that" the aid replyed

the fleet jumped to the home system it was time to put the fight on shinzu it would be an hour befor the ships got there.

OOC: the BHC fires a ball that has a Hyperspace siqualrity that callapses apon itself creating a black hole like item. realy what it does is ripe a hole into deep hyperspace that is Black and has all the propatieys of a black hole but it only last for 30-60 seconds befor it closes its not that big buts its powerful.

*Veredian Shipyards*

An army of engineers and a fleet of tugs and small fighter sized construction pods, along with the shipyard's robotic arms and the such were hard at work constructing new warships.

Captain Farsen, to be in command of the soon to be completed VSS Redeemer, a Starlord class destroyer. He walked through the part of the ship that was completed in a checklist in hand and the engineering team heads with him.

"We only need enough cargo capacity for a month, not even, we don't need marines, we don't need these" he said pointing to parts of the ship on the diagram, the engineers had done their best to cut out systems unecessary, but had never gone so far to cut out parts of the ship, get rid of sections of the crew, and other such measures. Captain Farsen was stressing the fact that all they need were guns, engines, and armour.

A dozen tugs moved sections of the hull into place along with the shipyard arms, and fused them together with the rest of the ship. The particle cannons were fitted in, and the pulse cannon turrets placed onto it. The anti-fighter guns were placed on by tugs, and secured and wired by engineering teams. The Redeemer's sister ship, the Redemption launched, towed by tugs, as its engines were still being installed. The wreckage from the battle had been put to good use, parts of the ships that had been under construction had been reused, as were salvageable weapons.

*Macross Colony*

As the Corpsac fleet jumped, the Veredian fleet followed, determining that they could not let the horrific destruction wrought upon Veredia go unavenged, they followed, fully realizing that they would all probably die, but knowing that their deaths would not be without meaning.

IC:Ikkit watched the fleet of chill manuver for a jump. Ikkit had his fleet pretend but did not initiate the jump. Instead the horned rat would provide in the form of a thousand grey seers. Grabbing the walkie talkie on board he sent a message down to the transmission station on board "Have the seer-seers begin the ritual". Ten seconds after the command everyone in a mile radius would feel a shudder run down there spines at the gathering of magiic. Even before the ritual was completed a hundred seers died, drained of life. All 120 armed merchant ships and 65 turbulent class destroyers vanished in a green haze.Another 200 seers died due to the surge of magic. Almost instantly the fleet appeared within viewing distance of Gronde's fleet. Unfortunantley the rapid movement left people in a confused daze which was followed up by mines attaching onto ships and destroying 5 cruisers and 10 more merchant ships. "This is SkitterQueek to all skaven ships fire upon the mines. All ships opened up with warp-lightning. 5 more merchant ships were lost in the malfunctioning weapons. 5 more were destroyed from mines close enough setting off when hit. Ikkit hoped his ship was clear of mines.
OOC:Warp-lightning is able to pass through all materials except dirt and stone. don't call it godmoding go to the www.gamesworkshop.com and head to warhammer then skaven.

lol, Imagine that you are an all powerfull techno 'thing', trying hard to controll your empire. You go to check on your fleet and all of a sudden; you are bombarded with mesages that have absoslutly no relevance. They are overloading your memory. You have to get rid of them before you can concentrate on anything and the more you delete, the more are sent. It can be a real pain in the ass, I know from personal experiance... :wink: :evil: :roll:

The fleet surged ahead at a rapid rate, their first objective; breack through the outer system defences.

"It will still be heavily gaurded," said Enjir. "It wont be to much of a problem, we just cant take a long time."
The Fleet of Chill continued to cruise forward towards their objective.

"This wont be easy," admitted Kalgar. "But we need to get through it before we can reach the planet." He ordered the innitiation of their attack plan and the entire fleet sprung into action.
The gunships got into formation just outside of the fortresses normal weapons range, it was the max range of the gunships cannons. The rest of the fleet formed up into a defensive position. The Destroyers, battlecruiser, and carrier all unlatched their assult craft, all filled with space marines. The Gunships opened fire on the enemy fortifications, aiming at the biggest guns they could see. The Missile frigates fired off 1/4 of their supply of long range missiles at the Starfortress. The Torpedo frigates dared to get close enough to fire a huge payload of Torpedos at the fortress. The quadrons of Tac and Stinger fighters swarmed over the defencive platformes, firing at anything they could get a lock on. The assult craft were preped to launch. The Battlecruiser stayed with the gunships to protect them, and the carrier was protected by the corvettes as it tryed to get closer to the planet.
"Be ever vigilant!" commanded the Admiral. "Whatever defencive ships they have will probobly be on on our butts any minute now."

this takes you directley to the warp-lightning cannon, it doesn't mention it, but it is in the skaven rule book. The only problem is it varies in strength and range, so you could fire at 1 mile with the ability to cripple an aircraft carrier, or a few feet and tickle infantry. The cannons on the ships are just bigger versions of it, so with more warpstone in there to channel the energy means more range and strength but even more danger.(Shinzu shouldn't even try and take over my ships because of the unreliability.
IC:A few mines slipped through the barrage of warp-lightning but there was still some distance before they latched on. All the destroyers had large amounts of shuttles on board. The lead destroyer saw a mine heading twoards them and sent a command to shuttle bay."Launch one now-now". A clanrat walked on board threatining the slave with a firearm "Take off now!" trembling the slave startes the shuttle and exited the ship, the clanrat pointed "there, over there". The slave looked up in absolute terror, the "there" was straight into the mine. The shuttle made a turn and started twoards it, the slave was about to break for it when he noticed something, the clanrat had himself strapped into the escape pod. He rushed the pod, but to no avail the clanrat had pushed the button seconds before the mine detonated destroying the shuttle. The escape pod, hadn't gotten away quick enough and vaporized to.

"Wow, thats high.... get the survivors to more shuttles and continue the procedure"

Meanwhile, at the Viredian peace conference, Kalgar was getting tired of waiting. "Sorry guys, Ive got to go lead my Empire," said Kalgar as he walked out. He boarded his shuttle, flew up to his destroyer and made the warp jump back to Gronde.
Uppon Kalgar's arrival, he was greeted by a huge mob of his admiring people. (isnt propaganda a beutifull thing)
"My lord..." Kalgar's advisor said. "I thought you were at a conference."
"I was, I postponed it," Kalgar responded. "Is my Battle Barge completed and preped yet?"
"Yes, but...you are not thinking of going to war front yourself, are you?"
"Of course I am," Kalgar snapped. "Knowing you, you are more worried about the Battle Barge's safety than mine."
"It is a very expensive ship, you know," admitted the advisor.
"I know, I know," said Kalgar impatiently, "but I can't go to war in a destroyer. Besides, I will need to be commanding something preaty impressive to rally the support I need among the pirates and corperations."
With that, Master Kalgar entered the Battle Barge, finding his place on the command deck of the large vessel. The vessel was fully manned by Space marines. It docked 50 tac fighters and 100 drop pods. It had 2 huge forward cannons and no shortage of broadside weapons. It was practically a fortress. It was a huge investment made by the entire region.
As Kalgar departed from Gronde, he took with him a large number of followers; private ships, pirates, armed freiters. It was everything they could spare. Even most of the defensive ships Gronde had set off the the Home System. The arrival of the Ulthwe Craftworld had allowed Gronde to let up on its defence investments.
Master Kalgar and all of the ships with him made the warp jump to the Home System and headed towards the StarFortress, hoping they were not too late.

IC: On the bridge of the SkitterQueek
"Sir, we are recieving a transmission from-from the gronde fleet"
"Patch it through"
"Yes sir"
Upon reading it, ikkit stared at the message a moment, "Have all merchant ships form a wall and push the engines as hard as they can go, have the destroyer engines pushed only 50% higher" A few orders were given to the other ships on what to do from the transmission station below. Ikkit watched the resulting explosions from ships colliding into the mines and their engines malfunctioning. Only one crusuiser was destroyed from mine/faulty engineering. "All merchant ships maintain speed of destroyers" The fleet was now almost caught up to the Fleet of chill. Ikkit turned to the black clad figure in a corner "Are they ready yet"? The figure was motinless for a few seconds as if listening for something, "Yes, they are awaiting further command"
The skaven fleet had not heard yet but all of skaven blight was in celebration at the completion of 5 "Behemoth' vessels which were now en-route.

ic> Master Kalgar's Battle Barge exited the warp in the cleared mine field. After it shot and destroyed the last few space mines, it called in the rest of the ships following it. The large fleet of about 2/3 armed civilian, corperate, and pirate ships, the other 1/3 were warships. There was also a large fighter swarm. These forces headed for the 2nd Homeworld.

On board the BattleBarge, Kalgar walked into a hidden room. Inside, waiting for him, were 4 figures. They were the agents of death, assassins. Each one represented one of the four Assassin Temples in the Land of Chill: Callidus, Eversor, Cullexus, and Vindecare.
"Are you ready?" Kalgar asked.
"Yes," the four said in unison. Kalgar was both suprised and pleased to see these four temple assassins working together. It wasn't long ago when they were trying to kill eachother.

Meanwhile, the BattleBarge had reached its destination, meeting up with the Carrier. The rest of the fleet dispersed and began hunting down enemy ships. But those with powerfull enough weapons stayed and began bombarding the planet, tareting any major defencive structures. At the same time, all 5 space marine companies, plus 2 more heavy space marine companies, 1 recon division, and 2 fast attack devisions(that arrived with the BattleBarge) were loading their drop pods at a fast pace. (Heavy space marine divisions are made up of terminators and dreadnoughts, fast attack divisions are bikes and Land speeders)

a massive ball flew towards the ships moveing into the edge of the formations and emploded. a small tear into hyperspace was formed acting like a Blackhole pulling anything in with in a 40,000Km radios it was there for 28.9 seconds.

at that a Battlefleet moved out moveing towards the outskirts jumping into hyperspace to get across the system.

However, my 2nd fleet lost a few ships on the way there. all pirate or corperate ships though, as they are not as well prepared for such things.

"Sir, It appears that they are going to fire the Black hole cannon!" said Kalgars assistant.
"Are they crazy!?" said Kalgar. "Evasive manuevers. Now!"
Because of their quick reaction and powerfull engines, the Battle Barge and Destroyers were able to get away with only minimal to no damage. The rest of the the fleet wasnt so lucky. 2 corvettes were lost, 2 damage moderatly, 1 gunships destroyed, 104 corperate fighters were sucked in, 12 Imperial fighters took minor damage. 3 out of the 5 bulk cruisers were destroyed and 8 of the large cargo ships were damage moderatly.
With that, Kalgar ordered the rest of the intended ground forces to be dropped on the planet, including those in the Behomoth carriers. They also launched all remaining fighters in the 2nd fleet and the carrier and sent them down to the planet.

"Sir, It appears that they are going to fire the Black hole cannon!" said Kalgars assistant.
"Are they crazy!?" said Kalgar. "Evasive manuevers. Now!"
Because of their quick reaction and powerfull engines, the Battle Barge and Destroyers were able to get away with only minimal to no damage. The rest of the the fleet wasnt so lucky. 2 corvettes were lost, 2 damage moderatly, 1 gunships destroyed, 104 corperate fighters were sucked in, 12 Imperial fighters took minor damage. 3 out of the 5 bulk cruisers were destroyed and 8 of the large cargo ships were damage moderatly.
With that, Kalgar ordered the rest of the intended ground forces to be dropped on the planet, including those in the Behomoth carriers. They also launched all remaining fighters in the 2nd fleet and the carrier and sent them down to the planet.

shinzu had see this comeing, she needed to leave and she knew just how to do that. entering a Royal shuttle knowing that no one would dare shot at one as some of the Royal family was still on the planet in death camps and work camps.
as she entered space she docked with a Crow Supercarrier that made a hasty retreat from any forces. she still controled the Forces within the System but she had left for the Delara expace an area unexplored by any Empire the DESC new.

Gronde ground forces were met up by a Legion of space Marines (OOC: not warhammer 40K :P) 489,471 marines out of surpplys that had been fighting for since the planet fell to shinzu.
"I am General donovan of the Black Hand Legion i take it your here to help the empire" he sead to the commander of a Gronde company "we need to see your Commander of this force" he sead carmly under the white armor (they look like clone troopers :P)

above the skys the 9th armada notice the shuttle leaving but as shinzu had thought they didnt pay attention to it, targeting a Royal shuttle was the highest crime you could commit in the DESC, the supercarrier left and noone thought anymore of it.
"mam the superfortrass is under our control the forces on it were able to take it over" a tac officer reported to the Admiral
"good send down the ground troops we have and....." the admiral was interupted
"the black hand legion is planetside they meet up with the Gronde ground forces" the officer replyed
"good, Scanner locate Shinzu" the admiral replyed
"er.....shes not down there cant pick her up systems are slowly coming back under control but its goin to take about 2 hours befor we get full control the mineing droids and anther things are still under her control" the scanner officer replyed

OOC: the mineing droids look like the squidys from the Matrix (i just had to have them)

ic>At the StarFortress, the Fleet of Chill was getting pounded. they lost 4 frigates and a Gunship at the begining. It was then that Admiral Enjir flew his battle Cruiser into the line of fire, allowing the rest of the fleet to get into a better position. The battlecruiser was torn appart by the firepower. Enjir's sacrafice was not in vaine, however. For with the 30 seconds he gave the fleet, they merged up with the battle Barge and formed into a superb firing position and unloaded an epic amount of firepower onto the fortress. Meanwhile, all but 2 of the assult craft made it to the fortress. They smashed through the armor and unloaded their payload of 250 space marines.

Down on the planet Uriel, the Force Commander of the Gronde's 1st Space Marine Chapter,(ooc> they are like Ultra Marines. Im working on our Space Wolves Chapter now. :twisted: ) was meeting with the Donovan of the Black Hand Legion.
"I think we have got this taken care of," said uriel to Donovan. "But your help is greatly appreciated. Its good to see people still fighting against Shinzu." When Donovan told Uriel about the royal shuttle, Uriel just laughed.
"Yes, we know that shuttle has Shinzu in it," said uriel. "You don't think we would invest in an assult this big if we didnt have good information. We have a "Suprise waiting for her." Uriel smiled evily. ( :twisted: )

On board the shuttle (as or before it docked), Shinzu had 4 unexpected guests. 4 assassins, all trained from birth for one task, the silent and effective destruction of the enemies of Gronde. They were from 4 temples: Callidus, Cullexus, Eversor, and Vindecare, each with its own specialties. The Callidus assassin could polymorph into almost anything, Cullexus assassins feed on mentle and life forces, Eversor assassins are extreemly stealthy and possess great close combat prowess, and the Vindecare assassins can silently kill anything through the scope of their sniper rifles. The Cullexus masked the mentle presents of the assassins, making them mentlely invisible. The eversor assassin approached Shinzu silently, and using the cloaking ability of her HES.(hostile envirnment suit) The Vindecare assassin was also cloaked and had a perfect lock on shinzu with his rifle. Then, with skill that can only come from a lifetime of training, the Eversor assassin silently attacked with her phase sword. The Cullexus assassin hit Shinzu with a powerfull mental surge, disabling he auditory response. The vindecare assassin prepared the perfect shot.

as shinzu was leaving the shuttle the assassins attacked the metal surge was blocked but barly as the phase sword came at her she grabed the Assassins wrist pulling out her saber lighting it up, its blade was pure black sucking in light and not giveing it. she cut off the assassins armor in the manuver lighting up the other end. the videcare assassin took his shot she moved but not in time as the bullit hit her in the arm.
"your goin to pay for that" she snaped pulling the blade up and jumping at him spinning in the air.

OOC: i was goin to show it in a flash back but the attack came to soon :( oh well you found out the hard way.

Onbord the Star Fortrass the automated defences ativated, gun turrets poped out of the walls, key locations were sealed and all lights were cut.

the Fortrass target the barge hitting it 3 direct hits with the muti fussion torpedos and a salvo of fussion missiles. then out of no where the battle fleet of the 9th armada exited hyperspace targeting the starfortrass as the fighters went off to target other fighters. a massive dog fight was happening seeing Shinzu fighters being pushed to the max.

the battle was goin to be long....

"You want to give up"

Meanwhile, on the planet, the Gronde fighter squadrons were causing havoc amung the enemy forces. The artillery battalions were set up and were firing away at enemy forifications. The Tank Battalians and the infantry were slowly advancing and the space marines were spearheading the major assults.
"Our assassins are not dead," Uriel said, looking at his wrist computer. "I think you underestemate them." Suddenly the ground shook and he heard explosions.
"What was that?"

Meanwhile, the at the Starfortress, the fighter squadrons had lost over 130 in all. The capital ships only lost one more missile frigate. The ships continued to fire on the fortress, aided greatly by the battlebarge. The space marines were quickly making their way through the halls of the fortress, aided by their high tech night vision helmets.

Meanwhile, 10 wings (35 each) of high performance shining spear fighters uncloaked near the Shinzu carrier, they quickly opened fire with their anti-matter missiles into the carrier. That was quickly followed by the uncloaking of 10 assult craft, which barraled forward and crashed though the side of the carrier and began unloading their space marines.

Meanwhile, Master Kalgar took a moment to look out and across the system they were fighting in. Gunfire and explosions were everywhere.
So this is what real war is, he thought.

The Planet of Akita-Ryuvius pledges its support to the Planet of Gronde.
I have 100,000 mobile carriers, 4 million fighters, 5000 assault ships and 3000 boarding crews ready for action.
Just give the word.

5,000 assault craft uncloak in sector 11.569-f, near the combat.
2,000 mobile carriers unlcoak in the same sector, and begin launching 800,000 fighters into standby mode.

Were ready, we just need to the signal from Gronde.

The nation of Akita-Ryuvius cannot wait any longer for a reply from Gronde. We will being the attack now if we do not recieve a reply. A Space Marines must be removed from the fortrass ittmeadiatly or risk collateral damage. After the artillery has expended all its munitions, Akita-Ryuvius will deploy its extensive Mobile Suit force and Gronde may deploy its Space Marines as well.

Very well then. The Nation of Akita-Ryuvius has no other option but to deply its Space Fleet into full Red alert combat action. Gronde has one last chance to give the no-go signal and retreat their space marines back into their ships.

OOC: Akita, no you don't have 100,000 mobile carriers, four million fighters, or five thousand assault ships. All of our nations here combined dont have that much. What your doing is called godmodding, please read the stickies. The royal shuttle docked with the large crow supercarrier. The 37 Veredian ships saw it, and figuring no royal family member would be fleeing from a combined fleet of DESC, Veredian, and Chill warships, settled on it being shinzu

"All ships, full engines, pursue and destroy that crow!" the admiral ordered as the warships powered up and began chasing it.

Yes, we do, they're all drones. Cheaply made, the fighters are about of apartments, made from cheap metal that is found on our planets many mines. As for the ships, we have illusion generators, making them seem more then there are. In reality, i cant tell you how many we have, because that would give away the strategy(look who really has no imagination at all)

shinzu screamed "GET OUT OF MY MIND" she shouted jumping away from the Eversor Assassin and went for the Cullexus with her blade aiming for its chest at the same time used Grip on Eversor cutting her air off and chocking her to death. the poisan was slowly affecting her and she was starting to falter.

Planetside the battles were not as tuff as the black hand had been fighting for along time.mainy of the robotics were goin back to there jobs of mineing and cleaning. the cyborgs were getting there minds back as well as the V-Jackers mainy were confussed.
Across the board Black hand troops were liberating Death camps and work camps helping the people give food and medical aid. there was still alot of fighting across the planet but it wasnt as hard as the black hand had been though.

OOC: Akita, your new at this, and simply because there the size of small apartments doesn't mean you can have four million of them, and illusion generators, generally speaking, don't work, simply because for each illusion you have, you need a ship to emit a strong energy signature and other signatures so that ships (all of which have sensors) can detect them, because a hundred thousand illusions mean nothing if theres nothing there, they would simply be ignored by a fleet. If you want some suggestions on a more realistic force, feel free to ask, we will gladly help you.

Admiral Dallaerin watched gleefully as his fleet moved to within range of the supercarrier, Let's see how you stand up to this... he smiled to himself as he flicked the comm. switch on his captain's chair, "All ships, open fire!".

The fleet opened up with magneton cannons, particle beams, pulse cannons, and missiles. The missile ship itself launched an excessive seventy-two anti-ship missiles, obviously intent on ensure the ship's destruction.

OOC: im waiting for Gronde replys befor i allow you to destroy the supercarrier (that did run away but you know how people get carryed away) Veredia but dont worry u will destroy it.

ic> The battle on the planet appeared to be going well. The artillery was shelling away at enemy forces. Uriel noticed most of the AIs going back to their origanal tasks. Uriel put Donovan in charge of stablizing the area as Uriel and his forces went after the next pocket of resistence. He left 2 of his terminators with Donovan, just to be safe.

Up in space, the battle for the StarFortess was raging on. Nearly half of the non-warships had been damaged to the point where they were no longer usefull. Their moral failed to crack however, and they continued to bombard the fortress with firepower. The space marines inside the fortress were begining to reach the vital areas, such as power cores and weapons systems.

As all that was going on, the fight between the assassins and Shinzu continued. The Cullexus sent a powerfull mental surge at shinzu as soon as she used Grip on the Eversor assassin. As Shinzu thrust her blade at the Cullexus assassin, he sidestepped and grabbed her wrist. At the same time, the Callidus assassin finally stepped out of the shadows and used his clawed gauntlet to attack Shinzu while the Cullexus had her wrist.

Shinzu Fell to the ground the Clawed Gauntlet had gone right though her, she layed down smileing "free..." she sead "the last stan.." befor she finished she died. she seemed more human then Android, a blood pool formed round her body. a few seconds later the Carrier exploded killing the assassins.
with her control lost most of the empire went back to normal to such, forces on the ground had stoped fighting going back to work. the Star Fortrass stoped fireing and seemed to go out. it was over shinzu was dead and she had no control anymore.
Planetside people were celabrateing fireworks light the night sky as people were free, mainy v-jacker and cyborgs didnt know what to think they couldnt remmber what happened.
Citys were destroyed and millions killed who new what was next who new how the empire would get back to its old glory.

ooc> b-b-but... I still get the credit for killing her!

ic> The commander of the boarding space marines message Kalgar telling him that they were in controll of the StarFortress.
"Should we stay here and keep controll of the fortress?" asked the Marine commander
"No, retirn it to the Corpsac forces."

Slowly, the battle slowed to a stop. Master Kalgar smiled, his first great victory.
