Historical context:

During the recent phoenix wars that brought the 28 nation Continental Dominion of Liom into being.Field Marshall M.T.Hayes was deployed in command of 7th Blood legion and the liom youth division which were collectively known as the 1st Fist of the Overseer Front to the Snuglonian region of Th Pan-Snug alliance nations(Dominion members).
The Snuglonians were apart of a Coup which directly challenged the power of The Overseer and had to be "put down".What resulted was one of the bloodiest battles of the conflict which the 1st fist won a resounding victory.M.T Hayes was given the nickname Hammer of the Snuglonians as he was the weapon that the Overseer wielded in the near extermination of his enemies.

Present:The remaing Snuglonians with the will and the ability to fight have started revenge attacks on Dominion forces in their region.Overseer decree #1288 has deemed that this is a direct attack on the greatest of all the world alliances and will be "terminated with extreme prejudice".The 1st fist of the Overseer units are en route to finish what they started a little over a year ago.However Dominion tactical bombers have started to use old style saturation bombardment to level any Snuglonian enclaves.

*General Nordreg burst into his master, Anderson's office. Frankly, Anderson was getting sick of people bursting into his office every time there was a problem, it was very cliched behaviour*

Anderson: What the hell do you want now you bloody overdramatic drama queen.

Nordreg: Sir, the overseer has gone to war with the Snuglonians, what should we do?

Anderson: Well you can start by knocking in future, I mean... what if I had been busy with a foreign dignitary, it doesn't exactly seem professional to have people simply burst into my office...

Nordreg: I know sir, I'll try to be more polite in...

Anderson(continues): I mean what if I had been naked when you burst in

*There was an uneasy silence between the two*

Anderson(realises what he said): Well just be more careful!

Nordreg: What should we do about the war, sir?

Anderson: Well we'll just have to put down the Snuglonian resistance. Get Mr. Snyde to start working on the propaganda side of things, to get the rest of the population on side, tell Army Command to send in the Ghost Legion.

(Background: The Ghost Legion is an elite formation consisting of 50,000 of the Pan-Snug's finest)

*The leader of the Snuglonian resistance, Fred Simmons was shocked as he heard the radio broadcast.*

Simmons: I can't believe that Anderson would side with the Overseer against his own people. Of course, I suppose he never really saw us as his people. We've always just been another ethnic minority in the lumbering hulk that is the Pan-Snug, well we're not going to submit to him anymore. I think that it's time we showed him that we're not just some inferior scum that's settled on his Northern territories, we're a force to be reckoned with.

*Simmons sends a telegram to his old allies, the Snugglestanians asking for their support*

IC:The air drop is a blatant violation of Continental Dominion Sovereignty,we urge you not to break international law,this is an internal security matter and is of no business to any outsiders.

Overseer:Sounds like Tyrantis is trying to stake a claim,to my Dominion.His imperialism is veiled by the fact that he says he is helping the Snuglonian peasants.They are an eternal thorn in my side,A people should know when they are conquered!!!!!!.Get My hammer on the phone tell him not to engage the Tyrantis army but to encircle them by taking the high ground to the south in the Castletroy Mountain range.Snuglonia is now an official war zone (Overseer decree #1289).Nothing leaves or nothing enters,call up the reserve and convene the war council-all other nations of the Dominion must decide on what will be the solution to the Snuglonian question and whether or not the invading army will feel the fist of The Overseer.

General Danek: This is General Danek to Tyrantis OPS! I want continous supply drops around the clock looks like these fools intend on wearing us in by siege. I would like to request some 120mm mortars if possible if not 88mm will do nicely.

Tyrantis OPS: We read you sir supply drop operation confirmed. Sorry sir but we cannot airdrop the 120's in that area because of the terrain but we will send the 88's.

General Danek: General Danek over and out!

General Danek:See to it the engineers get some timber cut I want a make shift fort in that clearing and see if they can clear a helipad so we can get some armour shipped in later on.

The newly elected President of FMC, Eddie Price, was faced with a tough first assignment. His military advisors reported hostile forces paratrooping into Vikings territory. He was faced with a dilema. Should he aid the Overseer, the man who had brought a bloody and vicious civil war to the Viking Nations, or should he sit idly by and let a larger imperialist nation carve out a foothold in this proud region. His reaction was one of the heart rather than one of the head.

'Miss Goldberg, send a telegram to LIOM and circulate it round the Vikings nations. Overseer, we acknowledge the link between our great nations and will support any action, military or otherwise that is taken in the name of Vikings Glory. I am mobilising my forces now and will be prepared to commit 50,000 troops in an initial strike force and will keep the bulk of my forces on high alert. Also i am sending my 1st Airborne Division, the Flying Cows, to Pan-Snug. They should be more than sufficient to stall the influx of troops and supplies into the region. I would also urge you to send in your air forces to secure the skys. If we can pin this imposter in then we can herd his forces into a circle and butcher them. I implore any Vikings nations to help defend our proud region. Let us forget past grievences and expell the foreign threat.'

'The leaders of El Liom align themselves to the statement of FluffyMooCows. The bloody past of the Confederated Vikings Nations must be put behind us. The Armies and Airforces or El Liom are being mobilised and moved to Pan-Snug. The 23rd Armoured Division of 30,000 men is en route to Pan Snug, having being mobilised for military maneuvers during the week. The 3rd AirCorps is scrambling and is looking for a friendly nation to base its operations from.

The Air Forces of El Liom and Fluffy Moo Cows are welcome in Snugland's airbases. Since Snugland is one of only 2 countries sharing a border with Snuglonia, (the other being Snugglestan), your forces should have no trouble in hitting any target in Snuglonia.

Furthermore, the entire Pan-Snug has gone to Alert Status Red, military recruitment levels have increased, all leave for military staff has been cancelled. All civil defence personnel are to report to their local barracks for armament and re-training. All civillian aircraft in the Pan-Snug are to remain grounded. Apart from Pan-Snug, FMC, El Liom, and the Overseer's military aircraft, the Pan-Snug has been declared a No-Fly Zone, all unauthorised air-traffic will be targeted by Pan-Snug Air Defences.

All civillian shipping is advised to remain out of Pan-Snug waters, all civillian shipping already in Pan-Snug waters are advised to go to their nearest friendly port, and once there, remain at anchor until hostilities have ended. Any shipping that refuses to submit to the Pan-Snug navy will be confiscated, any shipping resisting confiscation will be sunk.

The border between Snuglonia and the rest of the Pan-Snug has been closed. No civillian traffic will be allowed across the border, any civillian refugees fleeing from the warzone will be processed by Pan-Snug military personnel, intelligence officers, and immigration officials.

In secret:I knew another war would bring the Viking peoples together and consolidate my position.War with such a large nation is generally unadvised but not when you have the entire region in your corner.War is apon us.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Hayes the Chief of Staff of the Dominion Armed forces was confident that the Falcons claw legion (lioms airforce) would be able to gain air superiority since Snugglonia has such shallow bays and steep cliff faces for the length of her coastline-making land invasion by sea impossible.Now all he had to do was start shelling the lightly armed paratroops into submission.

This war was a matter of pride for Hayes,once before he was called apon by his Overseer to fight foreign aggressors that meddled in the internal affairs of the Dominion and he failed.This time it would be different,the military goliath that Liom had put together was impressive by any standards.Hayes' time had come....................

Meanwhile the military machine of FMC began to grind into motion. President Price oversaw the ceremonial march of the regiments going into action through Cluainlarach, the capital city of FMC. The reinforced 3rd Armoured Division, known as 'the Rabid Bulls' were to be the frontline division in this campaign. They had a glorious campaign in the recent civil war and now had the chance to fight once again. The people of Cluainlarach cheered the troops as they set off to defend the Vikings region.

'Enter'. Price sat at his paper strewn desk. Military attache Brian Tomilson entered quickly and got straight down to business. 'Sir, this war could ruin the nation. Tyrantis is a huge nation, we cannot be expected to defeat them. Why have you entered the war that insane Overseer has started?'

Price looked at him over steepled fingers. He looked like a tired man. 'It is precisely because Tyrantis is a powerful nation that i have intervened. If Tyrantis was to get a foothold here then the entire region would be under threat. The Confederated Vikings Nations is greater than the sum of its parts and if we unite sufficiently then we will have no trouble overcoming this insolent imperialist. Now then........' as he turned to the campaign map on his wall. The two men spent a couple of hours hammering out the last details of the military campaign that was about to be undertaken. The campaign would be one of blitzkrieg style tactics launched from bases in Snugland. Viking airforces would first seize control of the skies and then the armoured divisions would sweep in and extract the foreign troops from the region like the cancer they are.

As Tomilson left the room Price called to him 'Tomilson, if you ever again question a decision i take, ill take your head, stuff it and mount it on my wall. Good night.'

OOC: Sorry I havent participated much lately the forums havent loaded for me for about 5 days.

IC: General Danek: So they unite against us well we came here to defend the revolution and we will do so even if it means our deaths. Now where are those mortors??

Clone Trooper: Sir they just arrived along with the last munitions drop. I dont think we can count on many more drops for the time we are expecting a loss in air superiorty over time due to the enemies forces uniting. We could hold the superiority but Tyrantian command seems to think that this is not a major war and therefor see's no need to send additional forces.

General Danek: Well get those morters set up. And see about setting up some AA emplacements incase the air support leaves. This is gonna be just like back in Bastogne. I expect hard times and also a strong chance of defeat. Just remember their is no surrender.

Leutinant: General sir! It seems that a second drop of troops is on the way for reinforcements as requested.

General Danek: How many?

Leutinant: Some 40,000 making or forces now roughly 90,000.

General Danek: Excellent if they really want a fight they got one.

The Supreme High Priest of Sacrificial Lamb, Father McIvor returned from his religious retreat to find a stack of papers on his desk labeled 'Urgent, for your eyes and the eyes of God only'. He wondered what was going on in the world as he had been in complete isolation in a mountain monastary for the last few weeks. He took one look at the first page and groaned inwardly. He tugged a red bell pull to the left of his desk. Within moments a cowled monk with red lining on his hood entered the room and bowed, 'You summoned me High Priest. I take it is to do with the Tyrantis conflict? We didnt want to take any action before you consulted with our Divine Lord.'

The High Priest vowed to take his mobile phone with him on the next retreat as a similar delay could prove costly in the future. 'Yes, it is to do with this conflict as you call it, Alcolyte O'Toole.' O'Toole was the High Priests military advisor. 'I dont think we have a choice O'Toole, we must stand up to this heathen imperialist Tyrantis. It is an abomination in the eyes of God. Mobilize the Blood Fists and alert FMC and Pan-Snug that our troops are on the way. We will cleanse the region of this sinful intrusion. Look to Eziekiel 25:17 and you will see the path of God, 'The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. And i will strike down with great vengance and furious anger, those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when i lay my vengance upon thee.' As Father McIvor quoted, a bloodthirsty look came to his eyes and his incisors seemed to lengthen. Eventually he returned to normal and dismissed O'Toole.

As he sat back and though about the campaign ahead he began to doubt the wisdom of sending in the Blood Fists. They were warrior-monks, elite soldiers and heavily armed, but due to the sanguine nature of many of SL's religious ceremonies they have become bloodthirsty. They drink the blood of the fallen and if the battle is bloody enough then they turn partially insane and are liable to kill anything in sight. He would inform the other Allied nations and recommend their troops to point them at the enemy and then stand back. They would form the spearhead of the Vikings troops as they made the perfect shock troops, paying no attention to their own casualty rate. At the last count there were 20,000 such warrior-monks. Along with logistical staff and a large number of high-level chaplains their numbers came to 35,000. Father McIvor knew that they would be mobilized soon as they hungered for conflict and were in a constant state of readiness. He sent word to Pan-Snug that he needed some frontline bases with strong fences to keep his monks in till needed.

Trooper: General Sir! At the rate the enemy is amassing against us we may need to call on the GCON military!

General Danek: No we have our orders not to start a inter-regional conflict at this time we will not call on them. Tell me trooper on the reincforcements how many are the elite Grenadier class 1's?

Trooper:25,000 about half sir.

General Danek: Good if they think their blitz will work against them they got another thing coming those are combat hardened men that have seen such tactics many times before. Now start the mortar barrage hit anything that moves civillian or otherwise.

Trooper: Yes sir! MORTARS PREPARE TO FIRE!!!

Morter crew: LOADED!!!

Trooper: COORDINATE FULL BARRAGE INCENDINARY ROUNDS!!!

Morter crew: AIMED!!!!

Trooper: FIRE!!!!

Morters begin to fire and since they are incedinary they begin to burn the targeted area to the ground.

Leutinant: Sir engineers report the helipad is ready and chinooks can now deliver M1A2 Super Battle Tanks.

General Danek: Sehr gut....

*Anderson reads reports on the conflict in Snuglonia in his office*

Anderson (surprised): We'll I'll be damned, I never thought he'd attack the Snuglonian civillian population, (reads on), Incendiary rounds.... homes burned to the ground, heavy losses.... Good thing our troops haven't arrived yet.... wait a minute..... NORDREG, GET IN HERE!

*Nordreg enters his boss' office, somewhat perturbed by the anger in his master's voice*

Anderson: Why the hell haven't our troops arrived in Snuglonia yet?

Nordreg: Well, we closed the border with Snuglonia... as you ordered.

Anderson: That doesn't apply to our military forces you moron. Send them in...

Nordreg: But sir they'll be killed, Tyrantis has a heavy amount of artillery, and he's firing incendiaries.

Anderson: Co-ordinate with the overseer, F.M.C, El Liom and Sacrificial Lamb. If we send a co-ordinated mass assault against Tyrantis, we should be able to over-run his position.
Step up our aerial patrols also, I don't want a single Trantis aircraft to land in this region again.
Increase our naval presence in the region as well. Divert wolf-pack Delta from their current operations to gain control of the Snuglonian coast-line, the rocky, cliff-strewn coast-line would prevent him from amphibious landings anyway, but I want to make sue that he cannot launch naval bombardments against our forces.

Nordreg: What about the Blood Fists from Sacrificial Lamb?

Anderson (shudders): Those guys give me the willys, just tell our boys to stay the hell away from them. Actually, come to think of it.... Sacrificial Lamb said we should keep them in a secure position right... put them in the old disused Imperial Prison in southern Snugland, they should be safe there. They'll be unleashed, I mean... "released" when we need them.

Deep in the Lions den war cabinet room in the Dominions Capital Hazler,the Overseer was brooding over maps and strategy (as he always did).He had been just informed that Tyrantis had reinforced its army.

Overseer:Sheep their only Sheep,Easily dispersed when you kill the shepperd.Get me the leader of this little farce's heart,Bring me their commander.USE SCORCHED EARTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hayes looked around as the shells from Tyrantis were falling and Snuglonia was ablaze.His armies loses were beginning to mount but he couldnt help but smerk.

Hayes:Is this it,is this all you got Tyrantis.Send the order full attack Sacrifice yourselves for the Overseer,victory must be ours im not letting the other nations take my glory.Liom youth division must sweep down out of their trenches in the foothills while our main force approx 70,000 men from the 7th blood legion must meet them head on.The attack will start at 1st light with a rolling bombardment from our 1,000 heavy howitzers,at the same time the 2 new divisions of Apache helicopters will begin their attack on the mortar positions.

Hayes wouldnt normally attempt such a bold strategy but he had just heard that the 30 heavy armoured divisions that the Overseer had purchased 18 months ago had just arrived in Hazler and after the parade would be here within a week.There was little too it now but for Tyrantis too sue for peace,otherwise this conflict would be over within the month.

General McCoy of the 23rd Armoured Division looked at his recent recon reports. 'We have the enemy spooked', he thought. He was unleashing a huge mortar bombardment on nothing but Snug civilians. A couple of recon and forward units were wiped out in the barrage but this was war. The general of the force was making rookie mistakes. Now that the aerial blockade was fully in place and the Vikings Wolf Pack Fleets were hunting down the Tyrantis carriers that had launched the attack, the occupying force could expect little or no rearmament or reinforcement. Those mortar rounds would be sorely needed when the hammer stroke fell. They would do nothing than delay the inevitable but McCoy hated killing rookies. It was no challenge.

He had sent word to El Liom to send an artillery division and also to reinforce his division as soon as he arrived as the other Viking nations seemed to be sending much more troops to the conflict zone than EL Liom. His forces now included 6 Mechanized Infantry Bns, 2 Armoured Bns, 2 Artillery Brigades with medium and long range cannons. His forces numbered 55,000.

McCoy prepared to go to the coordination meeting with LIOM, Pan-Snug, FMC and SL. He would recommend an encirclement, a short intense bombardment and finally a crushing armoured blow. If this campaign went well McCoy could expect a Field Marshall's baton

General Danek: Is sitting at his desk when a trooper throws a report on his desk. The general skims it over and gives a grim look , but then smiles.

General Danek: So they torped the carrier group destroying our air support and supply route for the time. They were to slow though we already are entrenched, have supplies for 2 months of fighting, and have SAMS set up.

Just then the sound of gunfire is heard near the trenches. Another trooper comes running in.

Trooper: Sir! Its begun we are looking at infantry, armour, heli's....the works.

General Danek runs outside and yells orders.

The Overseer was reading hourly reports from the now closed battle zone.Casualties were mounting but it seems that Hayes' gamble had payed off ,The liom youth were taking ground and over running the outer positions of the invaders.Their intensive training and a desire to win was spurred on by the news that the Overseer wanted victory before his next birthday and "His Children" as they were called do not like to upset their father.

Overseer:So these little misfits have a will to fight after all.Ah no matter it just makes victory sweeter.My boys are storming their flanks with no prisoners.

General Von Richtoffen:Lord the 7th Legion backed up by elememts of the 22nd grenadiers and 4 battalions of the 18th Continental Dominion mechanised division had become bogged down in heavy fighting on the Tyrantis left flank and it seemed like ferocious counter attacks might actually turn our forces back.However just as hope had faded 20 of the 30 new heavy armoured divisions came rolling out of the Coillte forrest.There was little that tyhe combined tyrantis and rebel snuglonians could but turn and run in the face of such a war machine.

A radio man runs up very excitedly....

General Danek: Then we will hold or we will die you know the penalty for failure in the service of the Imperium.

Price took one look at the report from Satt-Comm and swore. A significant sized fleet had departed Tyrantis and was en route to the region. The addition of this force to the current force would pose problems for the forces committed to the defense of the region. Price sent word to mobilise the main FMC forces, playtime was over. He also sent word to the allies to engage Tyrantis and to try to remove him before the reinforcements could arrive. He commanded the FMC troops to advance.

Sergeant Peterson was the turret gunner on a M1A2 Abrams in the Red Squad of the 'Raging Bulls Division. His squad of 15 Abrams along with ground and artillery support had been ordered to advance on and destroy a temporary Tyrantis SAM site. The SAM site was located in the square of a large manor house and was enclosed with walls. The position was well defended but had been taking serious bombardment from FMC and El Liom artillery batterys. The order to advance came through to Peterson on his headphones and he heard the engine of the Abrams roar into life. He tested the movements of the turret one last time and then looked into the targeting scope. He saw a couple of Tyrantis tanks scramble to intercept the incoming force. He swivelled the turret quickly and fired. As he fired, the tank crashed through a stone wall, causing his shot to fly high and right. He retargeted and fired again, and was rewarded with a huge explosion as the tank took a direct hit. His companions had dealt with the other tanks and now they turned on the compound. Peterson scanned the wall of the compound and spotted a trooper with a shoulder mounted anti-tank missile launcher. He took careful aim, using minute adjustments of the turret. He fired and the huge 10 inch shell hit the body of the soldier and exploded. Guts and blood showered the area as the man disintegrated.

Peterson then heard the engine of the tank scream into top gear and the tank jumped ahead with a stomach churning lurch. The Abrams hit the wall of the compound at 50 mph and went through it like paper. Peterson quickly scanned his surroundings. He spotted the SAM missile launcher and its missile store. They were his first targets. Both exploded in spectacular style. Now that air support could enter the area, the Tyrantis forces defending the compound were doomed. Peterson smiled as he absently destroyed a fleeing Hum-Vee, it had been a good day, the first of many on what would surely be FMC's finest campaign.

General Danek took one look at the report and slamed his fist down. He knew he was fighting a losing battle.

General Danek: Should we risk a long range bomber strike without air superiority....hmmm..... TROOPER!!!

Trooper: Sir!

General Danek: Send word to Tyrantian OPS I want around the clock bombings from all super longe range bombers in service of the Tyrantis Empire tell them their is no escort yet but we have so many bombers and our factories are constantly making new ones I think we can pull it off.

Trooper: Yes sir! But whats the target infantry?

General Danek: All air bases, barracks, power plants, and factories. Since the Imperium has commited to this war and I am in charge of it I can now make the neccessary calls for victory. Also tell them to speed up the 1 million man invasion.

Trooper: Yes sir! Also if I may sir?

General Danek: Go on.

Trooper: I would consider to allow the GCON to also give us a hand we could increase that invasion to over 20 million easily.

General Danek: No this is our war and we will win it. Tell the rebels to advance on the left flank at once.

Trooper: Yes sir! I also believe sir that as long as the art keeps up not even a chicken can live on the bottom of that hill. The right flank also reports that they have retaken and fortified their position and have thwarted the enemies advance there.

General Danek: Good make sure they get a cimmendation for their actions.

Scene shows a bloody mess with hundreds of enemy body's lying dead all over a hill side. Then the camera pans and zooms on General Danek who is smoking a pipe and is looking into a pair of binoculars. He puts them down faces a large group of clones in perfect formation saluting him.

General Danek: They keep coming we keep killing. We do this for the glory of the imperium! Do you have what it takes to join the elite of the Tyrantian militant?

The screen fades out and the words "bene semper tyrannis" flash in front of the screen a very fast about 100 times. (Aka sabliminal messaging) an announcer says "We will conquer all till the world is red with blood and fire!"

Arch-Chaplain Kail entered the room and told the Blood Fists the good news. They had been given orders to advance and engage the enemy. They had moved forward to advance frontline bases and were eager to inflict damage on the enemy. The massed troops cheered and howled with bloodthirsty glee. They grew restless in their confinement in a Snugland prison. Kail bowed his head and began the rite of purification in preparation for battle. The huge throng of troops bowed their heads and also prayed to their God to purify them for battle. The prayer ended in the screaming of the word blood. The end of the prayer came and the 20,000 Blood Fists screamed BLOOD!!! into the night sky and continued to do so for the duration of the battle. They poured out of the advance bases and charged towards the enemy lines. Most were mounted on motorcycles or groups travelled on customised Hum-Vees.

The Blood Fists had been directed to attack the rebel forces. It was not clear who those rebels were but there is only one thing more repulsive than an imperialist aggresor in the eyes of God and that is rebel scum. They attacked in the middle of the night and while the screaming and engine noises gave the defenders some warning, the darkness covered the Blood Fists advance. They reached the enemies lines almost intact and began their assault. Their prowess in close quarters was unmatched, many troops carrying chainsaws and chain maces. The sheer bloodthirsty savagery overwhelmed the rebel forces and the sights of men drinking the blood of the fallen unnerved them. After only an hours engagement the rebels routed. Some of the Blood Fists did not follow as they celebrated the victory with rites of blood and ritual sacrifice. Many did follow the rebels and ensured they would not stand against the Blood Fists again. Losses were reasonable with four thousand dead and six thousand injured. The right flank of the enemy lay open and exposed. Arch-Chaplain knew that he would soon lose control of his troops so he decieded to push forward reletlessly and rely on more conventional troops to mop up and reinforce the ground taken. He roused the remaining 10,000 battle ready troops and told them to advance once more on the enemy. He just hoped that his allies would follow the lead.

Hayes was standing in what little more than a waste land.Fire and ash now dominated the once lush landscape.He was troubled my the stepping up of the conflict as once again the Glorious Confederated Vikings region would be a flame,but no mater what this conflict would be his finest hour.Reports fromthe front were coming in ,Tyrantian forces on their right flank opened up a heavy bombardment and halted the advance of the Liom youth.The use of Flamethrowers to burn the Domion memorabilia that was captured drove the 13-17 year olds into a frenzy.All their lifes they had been thought that they were nothing without the Domion,that they were destined to be the ultimate class a sort of warrior poet.Now all that they had was cowardice and their Overseers eyes flag was ablaze.
Then without order they started to run head long into the Tyrantian line.Heavy fighting ensued but Lioms children would not flee.Some lay down under tanks and detonated bombs to save on antitank shells,others ran head long into command bunkers shouting slogans such as "Strength through Unity"or "May the Overseers gaze watch over me in the afterlife" pulling the pin on a grenade once inside.
This heavy fighting decimated the liom youth but their honour was restored and the Overseer would be pleased.They had reached the sea and secured the beachs.Tyrantian forces were now surrounded on all sides.

Seeing this Hayes gave the order that the other 10 heavy armoured divisions that had not been indoctrinated into the Dominion Shadow Front were sent to the beaches to fortify them from invasion.Engineers immediately went about mining the coastline and building tank traps and gun implacements.The age of fortress Dominion had begun.

*Field Marshall Albert Johnson, commander of the Ghost Legion sits in his forward command post reading progress reports, dispatching communiques back to Snuggle-topia, the usual paperwork, when he hears the battle-cries of the Infamous Blood Fists of Sacrificial Lamb over the Radio, followed by the snarling roar of chainsaws, and the sickening sound of flesh tearing and metal against bone... the sounds of pain and death that are synonymous with these abberations of "civilised" society.*

Johnson: What frequency is that soldier, is that some sort of radio-drama, or whatever it is you kids listen to today... you shouldn't be listening to that sort of thing son, it'll give you nightmares. (stories of the sheer brutality of the Blood Fists were often told by parents to their children in the Confederated Vikings Region to scare them, a bit like stories about the boogie man in other countries)

Radio Operator: No sir, this isn't a radio show, it's a Tyrantis military frequency.

The Corporal left fearing he may not make it out of the Spazzers buliding intact.....he had seen one of those nutcases dent a tank door with his head and no helmet.......

The Spazzer unit was an irregular group of moderately armed soldiers whose preparation for battle was to sit around drinking straight pints of vodka and chewing painkillers.....the state of mind that left them in can only be experienced and not written about......

The unit set out at a sprint,they would run for 24 hours then rest for four out of the range of Tyrantis' mortars,once they were sufficiently doped up again they would charge headlong into the centre on Tyrantis' stronghold,he would be unable to deter the youth division on the left the monks on the right and the spazzers straight down the middle.....

Due to the escalation of military activity in Snuglonia, our most beneficient leader, Anderson, has authorised the formation of the First Pan-Snug Front. This will consist of the already embattled Ghost Legion, and the Panther, Puma, Elephant and Rhino Legions.

The First Pan-Snug Front will be under the overall command of Albert Johnson, who has just been promoted to "Hero of the Pan-Snug."

The extra 4 Legions are expected to arrive in Snuglonia within the week.

Also, in recognition of Bob. R. Rudiger's decision to join his Viking Brethren in their righteous crusade to expel the invader, Logistical Command has authorised the "donation" of 6 Strike-Fighter wings to his countries. Each Wing consists of 96 F-18E/F Super Hornets.

General Bludger looked on in satisfaction at the sudden unleashing of the Vikings military capacity. He recieved hourly reports of the progress of the Blood Fist beserkers and the other Lioms Youth army military advances. He wondered how that madman managed to indoctrinate his people to such an extent. Whatever he did, it certainly worked and those little Youth devils had secured the route to the sea.

Bludger had dispatched an armoured division to the sector where the Blood Fists were operating in order to consolidate any gains they made. It was a reinforced armoured assault division of 10,000 men. M1A2 Abrams were the main armoured vehicles with 203 of the tanks in the division and there were also 34 Mist Lynx Export CFV 21 M2001A1 Crusader SPG 52 M270A1 MLRS and 600 'Fleetfoot' APCs. They would advance behind the Blood Fists until the warrior monks were no more, then strike at the centre of the Tyrantis forces with an armoured fist.

The rear and right flanks of the Tyrantis forces lay in tatters and his forces were entirely surrounded. Their defences were crumbling in the face of huge superiority. Of the 90,000 Tyrantis troops that began the conflict, only a tiny proportion could possibly remain. At least 11 allied states had substantial forces in the area. There were pictures of the impending miltary victory being beamed all across the Vikings region. The Tyrantis forces were being tightened into a circle, whenever they ran out of room, they would be slaughtered.

Now Bludger had bigger fish to fry. The incoming Tyrantis fleet would be a large problem. El Liom sappers and engineers had been sent to the coast to set up anti-aircraft sites and long-range cannons on the coast in preparation for the arrival of the Tyrantis Fleet. It was imperative that those forces are kept off the continent. The addition of the Rudsy alliance greatly strengthened their air superiority as the nation of Rudsy prided itself on its No Fly Zone.

The easy part of the conflict was nearly complete. The initial landing had almost been repulsed. Now came the more difficult task of repelling the Tyrantis Fleet.

When Price, Ruler of FMC heard that Tyrantis communications were temporarily disrupted he immediately authorised the advance of his main armoured divisions. FMCtv ran a show documenting the advance with embedded reporters giving accounts of the war. Price then appeared on every television station in a state sponsered broadcast. 'The imperialist scum will be crushed under the tracks of our tanks. We will rid this region of this infestation. Sign up to the glorious FMC armies now and do your duty in driving this invader back into the sea.'

Liam Ryan had been a lowly private in the FluffyMooCows army. He had recieved basic training and during that basic training he had shown a remarkable gift for marksmanship. He could reliably hit a head sized target 800 yards away with a respectable sniper rifle. He was drafted into the FMC elite sniper units known collectively as 'the Herdsmen'. These crack troops were assigned to other forces on special missions in small groups or on their own. Ryan was assigned to the 'Crazy Calves', a unit that was to attack a Tyrantis communications outpost. The outpost was a vital link in communications between the Tyrantis forces and if it fell then reinforcements would be slower to arrive at the point of the main assault. The sattelite recon on the outpost showed that it was poorly defended with a depleted force occupying it. There was no signs of armour and only 15-20 men inside.

Ryan moved forward to see the base for himself. The outpost was a tower with a wide top for sentrys. There were three low buildings around it and the whole enclave was surrounded by an electrified wire fence with one gate in it. The buildings were all temporary and constructed from wood. The surrounding 100 yards of the base had been burnt clear of foliage and offered no cover. Further back there was some grass and then about 400 yards from the base there was a range of low hillocks. Ryan lay on a hillock, under a camo 'ghille sheet, observing the base, when suddenly he swore. A damaged tank was coming up the road to the base accompanied by 30 tired looking men. 'Survivors of the Blood Fist assault' thought Ryan, 'the Crazy Calves squad wont be able to deal with that tank'. Ryan took a quick descision. He took careful aim at the tank commander whose head was poking out of the turret, and squeezed the trigger. He was rewarded with a puff of red from the mans head. The surrounding troops didnt notice anything as his rifle was silenced. Ryan continued to pick troops off until they noticed that they were under attack. Panic broke out and the tired soldiers fled, terrified that more bloodthirsty troops might descend on them. The tank began to speed up as it sought the relative safety of the base. The tank that was moving up the road was a M1A2 Abrams and Ryan knew a weakness of the tank. The armour plating on the refueling bay was not as thick as elsewhere on the tank as it had to be able to be removed for refueling. Ryan set his rifle against his shoulder and looked for the weak spot on the tank. He found it and tracked it waiting for the right moment. The tank stopped just before the gate of the base, waiting for the gate to open. The stationary target was too good too pass up. He took his shot and the high-velocity round hit the tank. Nothing happened for a moment, then the drivers hatch opened and flames billowed out. A burning figure stumbled out and ran, burning, into the base. The tank then exploded in spectacular style and took out many of the gate guards and damaged the surrounding buildings.

Satisfied with his shot, Ryan then began to pick off stray sentries, moving occasionally in order to confuse the enemy about his position. He would soon give the go-code to the Crazy Calves to finish the job and to disrupt the Tyrantis communications. The main assault was ready to begin.....

The land battle appears to be drawing to a close, the battle for the sea will soon begin. Already, Snuggle-topia has dispatched Wolfpack Delta to the Snuglonian coast-line. Wolfpacks Alpha and Omega are now being diverted from their assignments off the Pavees/Viking-topian shoreline, to protect the Snuglonian Sea.

We wish at this point in time to ask Tyrantis to refrain from escalating this situation further by attempting to land more troops. As you have seen, we will not abandon Snuglonia to your Imperialism.
As you have also seen, the Snuglonian population has seen through your thin veil of false humanitarianism, they have turned against you. Even if you do manage to conquer the country, the population will continue to resist your rule.

Due to the fog of war, we in The S.B.E have only now heard of the strife that the other Dominion members have suffered at the hands of the foreign imperialists.It is because of this threat that the normally peace loving people will come to the Overseers aid.
A land in turmoil has cried out and we will not let this fall on deaf ears.We are on full alert and will be increasing subscription levels to 60%,the 1st and 3rd Beaver Battle group of our formidable navy is enroute.Once off the coast we will begin firing on any remaining Tyrantian forces and also await the arrival of his fleet.

OOC:Each battle group has 3 wolfpacks with 12 subs in each,3 carriers total of 180 each 15 frigates and 7 battleships

With the addition of even more of the Dominion to the righteous struggle The Overseer Liom was happy although this was a weighted happiness.Losses were coming in and some of his best divisions had been severly depleted.The Liom had all but fought them selves out of existence but this years class was being readied and would be rushed to the front within the week.
The Blood legion were a little better off 7,000 dead and 12,000 wounded however the 10 extra divisions that had pushed to the sea were now being indoctrinated and aon paper at least the blood legion was at full capacity with 8 heavy armoured divisions in reserve.
The Dominion Shadow Front were the least affected and were one of the biggest Overseer army in the area of the 20 heavy armoured divisions (ttoal 400,000) men onl 3,000 lay dead, 7,000 were wounded or missing.Machinery losses were 340 tanks and self propelled artillery destroyed and 456 humvess,apcs and supply trucks lost.
THe dominion was an industrial Juggernaught by any standard and was churning out more and more vehicles every day.
The preparations for a larger conflict was going well since the Tri-alliance region of the had been put on permanent military footing and 4% of the population drafted,great construction schemes were on going everwhere.Already 324 miles of concrete bunkers and gun implacements had been layed on the border with the Pan-Snug region,1.2 million hectares of land had either been flooded or mined.The glorious capital of the Dominion Hazler was now a great citadel.Every where civilians were building bunkers and draftees were manning pill boxes and AA guns.

Just as the panther, puma, elephant and rhino legions arrive in the Snuglonian theatre, they receive word that Tyrantis' land forces have been decimated. They were too late to aid their brothers in the Ghost Legion. The Ghost Legion suffered horrific losses in the pitch battle to remove the cancer of Tyrantis from the continent.

Ghost Legion losses: 8,000 killed; 32,000 wounded. Only 20% of our brave warriors escape this bitter conflict unharmed. A national day of mourning amongst the civillian population has been declared in the Pan-Snug countries.

Radio silence is in operation, while the Subs can receive signals, they cannot transmit, as doing so would risk giving away their location. However they don't really pay much attention to the incoming broadcsts anyway, as the Captains of these subs have received their combat orders before going to sea* (Backround: Pan-Snug Wolfpacks consist of 4 Squadrons, each squadron consisting of 6 subs)

We have been mobilising quietly since this conflict broke out and now send our troops to the conflict zone. 60,000 troops are now in Snuglonia taking entrenched positions. The 2nd Airborne Fist is now patrolling the skies over Snuglonia. The Ryansville pilots along with all the other allied pilots have been having a field day. They have been shooting down bulky troop carriers belonging to Tyrantis and Itsokasi. The Itsokasi troop carriers are especially easy as they have no fighter cover as Itsokasi has no aircraft carriers in range. Sometimes the Airborne Fist pilots amuse themselves by flying at parachuting troops and machine gunning them to oblivion.

(OOC: Learn how to role play or leave Itsokasi. Does dropping 50,000 troops the day you declare war, over a hostile and occupied land sound remotely realistic or even intelligent?)

To the leaders of Itsokasi. You enter this war declaring that there were recent threats to GCON from Viking nations. We in the Viking nations do not know and do not care who or what GCON is. The conflict was an internal matter until your 'sister state' Tyrantis aggressively moved in. You would be recommended to turn your destroyers around before you enter an illegal and immoral war of mutual destruction with the Viking nations. We are defending our region from Tyrantis, there was and is no threat to this GCON you speak of.

To the people of FMC and Viking nations. Your determination has been commendable in this recent conflict. We have risen to any challenge put forward and have cleansed the initial attack from this fair land. All that is now needed is one last push from all inhabitants of this region to repulse the incoming attack. Be you a soldier, factory worker or company owner, do all that you can do to guarantee a Vikings victory. Any viking nations that have not pledged troops to our cause, pledge them now as it will be too late when the enemy is knocking at your door.

With reports that other Gcon nations were joining the fight the Overseer was disturbed.Indeed Tyrantis had lied to his comrades,intelligence reports show that Tyrantis had said that Dominion forces were the first to fire.The GCON had fallen for this and so instead of leaving our sacred lands more of both our peoples would have to die.

The overseers Hammer (Field Marshall M.t. Hayes)was at the Front.A couple of weeks had passed since the ending of the initial attack by Tyrantis but work had not stopped.Fields were flooded and the Snugglonia countryside that was not under water was littered with mine fields,tank ditches and all sorts of goodies for any enemy attempting to invade the Dominion.Snugglonia was now little more than a smouldering rock but it ws still Dominion territory and would be defended as such.

In the Sky above wave after wave of foreign bombers started dropping more paratroops.Dominion AA batteries and SAM sites immediately lit up and filled the sky with rocket and shrapnel.Dominion fighters easy brought down some of the far slower bombers.

Hayes:General!

General:Yes sir

Hayes:As soon as the first foreign foot lands on Dominion territory order The Dominion Shadow Front toengage and surround themon three sides with their backs to the flooded Snugannon marsh land area.

General:I will give the order sir.

Hayes:Lets see how the 50,000 or so lighlty armed paras do against an armoured front of 600,000 men with complete integrated air and land support.

General:Do we take prisoners sir?

Hayes:At present no.Kill all they send and they wont send any more.

General:Yes sir,I understand.

Back in the now well fortified Tri-Alliance region of the Dominion well away from the Front in far off Snuglonia,the propaganda effort was working well.

On all Channels-A good looking Officer from the Peoples Divisions was talking :

Do your part,save on food and other goods if you can walk or cycle to work do so-this will save on valuable oil reserves that can be used by those who can kill the invader.Do what you can.

Encouraged by the huge success of the Blood Fist Division in the recent conflict, Arch Chaplain Kail sends word to SL headquarters to send more of the demented monks and some usual troops as well. Every man will be needed when the Tyrantis forces landed, IF the Tyrantis forces landed. SL command said that 30,000 Blood Fists were en route and 50,000 Soldiers of God were on their way, a few nervous miles behind the Blood Fist Division.

We welcome the news that more of our allies have decided that Dominion lands are too Sacred to suffer the weight of foreign invaders.togther we are strong as the closed fist and nothing can defeat us.

You do know you cant be shooting at my troop carriers because none are deployed yet I am still organizing an invasion.

I am sending every carrier and escort ship not defending the homelands to provide air support for our GCON allies. However I still am preparing for a real invasion.

*Update on the naval battle against the Tyrantis fleet*

The surprise naval attack on Tyrantis' fleet failed in it's goal to destroy the carriers. The submarines of Wolfpack Delta managed only to destroy 3 of the destroyer escorts that were protecting the fleet. The Wolfpack also managed to sink 3 of Tyrantis' submarines, a fourth Tyrantis submarine was scuttled by it's crew to prevent Tyrantis technology from falling into the Pan-Snug's possession.

Once the threat to the fleet carriers was realised, the entire fleet pulled back to G-Con waters, but not before inflicting their own casualties on the Pan-Snug Navy; 2 subs of the 4th squadron, and 4 subs of the 2nd squadron of wolfpack Delta were sunk in the battle.

The 3rd squadron of the wolfpack, (consisting of 6 seawolf class attack subs), pursued the retreating fleet into G-Con waters. 5 of the Pan-Snug's subs were sunk in a counterattack when Tyrantis launched a barrage of Anti-Submarine missiles at the squadron. All hands of the 5 subs were lost. The 6th sub only narrowly avoided destruction, and is limping back to Pan-Snug waters as we speak.

I agree so Kontrosena I am cutting your deployment down to 5 million and those will be deployed in numbers of about 100,000 a week untill 5 million is established.
