Surplus army space suit.
Self contained enviorment
Up to 6 hours of air stored additional 3 hours on recycled air. Pressure constantly set a 1 atm no matter what outside conditions are. CO2 scrubbers tie into recycled air system. "Camel back" water supply system 80 fluid ounces. Thermo system can keep suit at a comfortable tempurature no matter what outside conditions are.
Man Manuvering Jets
Jets that allow unasisted movement in a vacum enviorment through the use of micro gas thrusters. Will work in any conditions, up to 3 hours of use.
Electronics suit
Radio, Radar gun, Location transponder, distress beacon, small onboard pimited function computer.
Armor
The suit is made of highly complex polyfabrics. Also on the chest back head shins and forarms there are hard ceramic armor plates. The gloves are also armored with small flexibel ceramic plates. The visor is electrostaticlly strengthend polynomane.
Space walk unit
Electro magnetic boots allow for a magnet like hold with a metal surface. Klieg lights on the shoulders allow for daylike brightness even in the darkest areas. A winch and attachment plate allow for towing and other activities. And finally a small 2mm repeating railgun is included for personal defense.

50,900 credits
Rail Guns-
“Rail guns” are the standard infantry weapons in the Terran Galaxy. A rail gun uses magnetic forces to accelerate relatively small projectiles to astronomical speeds. They rely on their high kinetic effects and high penetrating power to get the job done.
The M-436- it is a 4mm rail gun. 4mm rail guns are basically what is accepted as the largest bore diameter one can carry without overloading a suit’s reactor. Larger calibers are found on ships but not in the hands of infantry. ACS can carry vast reserves of 4mm ammunition. In fact with all ammo lockers full the ACS trooper has at his disposal 4,000 rounds of ammunition.
Cost.
2,000 credits
The "RailBar"
The is the first civilian model rail gun. It has a barrel diamiter of 2mm. It carries a casset of 500 rounds. It has a RPM of 300. The rail gun is man portable and is about the size of combat rifle. It power packs can sustain the firing of two cassets, and the bettery packs are rechargable, and interchangable.

Plasma Cannons
Original appendix entry
M-546 Plasma Cannon
M-546 Plasma Cannon- This weapon is a particle projector, as it fires no solid projectile. A plasma cannon, magnetically accelerates super heated gas plasma in a “wash”.
When the ammunition filling command is given (Charge actuator); Deuterium-Fluoride gas is induction pumped past two super hot reactor coils, creating plasma. This plasma moves through convection to a magnetically isolated containment chamber. The chamber is double layered to prevent plasma from escaping, because of enemy fire. This chamber is computer controlled to send reheat microwave boosts every .2 seconds. All of this equipment is heavily shielded from radiation release,
When the feed command is given (fire actuator in grip is pressed) the chamber releases 48 cubic mm of plasma into the acceleration ram. The ram then fires distance and timed controlled impulses, which undulate down the ram and force the plasma out of the barrel, and at the target. During the acceleration processes once last microwave heating boost is given, taking the temperature into the 4000 degrees C range. The time between the feed command and terminal ram output is .5 seconds, because of this time delay the AOST sight mounted on the
M-546 plasma cannon is timed within a nano second with the cannon, making this time difference nil.
The plasma cannon can defeat almost any armor. The temperature of the plasma wash when it impacts the target is well above the melting point of any alloy or metal known to man. The weapon has the effect of carbonizing an opponent, or reducing them to carbon ash.
Plasma will eventually vaporize because it loses its super heated qualities. Plasma has the volatility to make it to about 2 miles. Plasma travels at almost the speed of light so this distance is covered almost instantaneously. Also plasma has the effect of being a very accurate tsunami, the wash (spreads out over 4 feet in circumference) is utterly powerful, and is on target every time because of it light like properties i.e. traveling in a straight line.
The plasma cannon was chosen over the laser for ground combat because of it ruggedness, and low power consummation, relative to the laser. A laser’s optics must be aligned perfectly for it to work properly, also the laser taxes the suits reactor a terra-watt every time it fires which can drain power from other suit functions.
Range-2 miles
Power consumption- 500 watts an hour. 34% of reactor’s output
Ammunition- 3 cubic meters of Deuterium-Fluoride gas.
Space requirements- This weapon system takes up the Ammo storage locker with the containment chamber, convection arena, and isolated feed tubes, The secondary ammo storage locker is taken up by the; heating chamber. special induction pumps, this leaves one storage compartment open for extra ammo, and equipment.
Sight-AOST (advanced optics, sighting, and tracking.)
Plasma cannon (more on it)
The Plasma cannon has become an reality. Now instead of the plasma being shot out of the cannon in a wash which has been deemed physically impossible, the plasma is fired like a rail gun. The plasma is still created and loaded into the gun in the same way as described in the other weapon’s index, but the launch vehicle is different. The plasma is feed into a magnetically sealed streamlined tube. This tube is 6 inches long and 8 inches across. In it the plasma stays reheated until the canister is shot in the same fashion as a rail gun. A tiny computer located in the front of the canister tells the E-field to fail when the plasma has reached the right range to target, and is right on top of the target. The plasma then expands rapidly into a ball of plasma 1 meter in diameter. This plasma “explosion” destroys anything in its path leaving a glazed crater and smoking remains of armor. These plasma canisters are drum feed into the box launcher from a 30 round drum. Plasma gunners carry 4 extra drums with one loaded for a total of five drums. This method of shooting is called “caning”
Alternately for close combat situations the old system for firing the plasma cannon can be used. In this system described in the original appendix issue the plasma will dissipate at a distance of 2 meters; but, the wash will be larger encompassing a large swath to the front of gun up to 2 meters across as its furthest point. This method of shooting is called “Shotguning”
