FREEDOM UNDER ATTACK!

Nations of NationStates:

The old and honorable region of Freedom (No Founder, 50 nations) is now under attack by an invading force pretending to be totalitarian “communists” (though they wouldn’t know communism even if nationalized all their industries and farms).

Because Freedom has no Founder, and because the invaders have slipped in over time, it’s unclear what the result of a totalitarian victory would be. This could be another Francos Spain catastrophe! This could be the end of a free and noble region!


Here is the current Freedom World Factbook Entry:

“World Factbook Entry: Based on the goals of free speech and tolerance, Freedom is known for its diverse culture and communities. Strong and powerful, we are aiming to be one of the most diplomatic and peaceful regions in the world.”


If these are ideals you value, please, please, IMMEDIATELY send a UN nation to Freedom and endorse the current UN delegate The Delicious Smelly Wonderland of Dog Crap (2.24 billion population).


(The current pretender is The Totalitarian Commonwealth of Soviet Fraser Valley, though they could always shift their votes…)

As you can see from our post count, though our nation has been around a while, we're not really Forum savvy. In fact the Forum when we knew it (a little) was organized very differently.

So... Are we posting this in the right place?

Reason & Compassion has moved to Freedom and endorsed the delegate.

I admit I don't know the history here, but I do know a number of the nations also endorsing the current delegate (Art among them) and I can at least vouch for their honesty.

Why would you strive for freedom and join the U.N. They take away many freedoms and do not let you run a nation the way you would like...I am anti U.N. and would like to start a kinda Warsaw pact maybe form a colalition against the U.N.

That's actually a different discussion (and there are already a number of Anti-UNs if you look around). This is a matter (apparently) of keeping wannabee invaders from messing with an old and free region.

No, our apologies. I didn't mean to be curt, just didn't want the thread to go astray. This is, if Art is to be believed, a matter of some practical urgency.

The issue is still not resolved. These guys are patient, and they slip in and they withhold endorsements until theyre ready.

More nations would surely help. But thanks to the nations who have left the comfort of their homes for the sake of Freedom.
