The planned Iroquois engines had even better thrust. Also, the beastie could carry at least four Sparrow missiles (or update that to AMRAAMs) internally. Still, nowadays, it's probably a bit too stable for contemporary aerial conflicts.

True, it is said that the Iroquois engines could launch the Arrow from a verticle position into the stratusphere. Quite impressive for the 1950's. The fighters in my own AF have the Iroquois Engines, and make up most of my AF. The Iroquois version will be available shortly.
