In a stunning movement today, Hogsweat has decided to INVADE The West Pacific to remove their stale and corrupt fascist government. We are receiving assistance from the whole of the Red Bloc Army.. The operation will consist of, on my part:
4.7 Million Red Army Soldiers
45,000 Red Army Vehicles
6,000 Red Airforce
130 Red Navy

After a Long Discussion by the RBA, and an Appeal from West Pacific Citizens the RBA has begun Mobilization for an Invasion of West Pacific to reinstall the Government.

What form of government is going to be taking it's place?

Show me proof that the West Pacific is a government with stringent socioeconomic controls, suppression of the opposition through terror and censorship, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism.

The form of government will be a DEMOCRACY.

The Divine Autocracy of Nili would like to see proof that the government is as bad as you say it is.

This sounds like another example of illegal expansionism by a hostile foreign imperialist power, hiding ehind the veil of "restoring democracy".You are blatantly breaking international law.The continental Dominion urges you not to continue on this barbaric act.

Aha! But i have evidence.. "Niles, give me the folder"
"What folder you said we dont have evidence its just to remove an enemy- Ow ! Hey what was that for"

"you dumbass give me the folder"

"What fol'-OW"

"Sorry folks, we lost all our evidence when old Hogsweat was nuked."

Fascist nations are against some form of living, or social and economic equality. If they arent, then it isnt fascist.

"What do you people know? You were nuked and probably are mutants, now I may not be from around there, but I know one thing, and thats to never trust mutants. You and your "Democracy", if democracy can help you so much then where was it when you were nuked? The Divine Autocracy of Nili gives you our condolenses, but any attack against the West Pacific without real evidence will be repelled by us."

As the regional representative of the ComIntern and a long-time supporter of Hogsweat, we give their(admittedly very militant) approach the benefit of the doubt.

Pending a thorough presentation of TWP's government and how their people suffers under the fascist party; Scandinavia might even commit troops to this campaign. We await an explanation from Hogsweat.

Social Technocracia is also supporting it's ally, Hogsweat and is deploying a task force to assist our Socialist comrades. This will consist of:
80,000 men
5,000 vehicles
1,000 aircraft

We find it necessary to bring about a "forced peace" to the west pacific nation in order to prevent the country from falling into a civil war. We refuse to accept the fascist government amid allegations of vote-rigging and therefore support the rightful Socialist government.

Kuppo will also support Hogsweat in thier war against West Pacific
and we don't care weather Hogsweat attacks pre-emp or in defense. Any war that benefits the proletarient is a just war

Kuppo will give 25,000 men to the war effort

3,000 artillery

150 attack choppers (hinds)

4,000 vechiles
100 special forces (guerilla fighters)
and
1 tank (cuz its the only one we got)

STOP YOUR AGGRESSIONS, YOU PEOPLE HAVE NOT BEEN GIVEN THE FULL FACTS.

Here are the full facts. (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=133911&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0)

[b]As you will see, the people elected the fascist party, it was a peaceful change of power, only afterwords did the SOCIALIST rebel against the popularly elected Fascist party, we will resist to the last person. Now is the time for you to rethink your actions, before you go to far and kill millions of innocents, whose only crime was voting against the ruling socialist party and choosing the fascist party instead.

The Most Serene Republic of the Volga has positioned itself to strongly oppose diplomatically any invasions of West Pacific. If the Fascists were democratically elected (as has happened before), and are popular with the populace other than the hardline socialists, who cannot accept that they are unpopular with the mainstream, then they should remain in power.

The Most Serene Republic believes that this is merely an attempt by the Red Bloc to overthrow a democratically elected government, against its own charter, as I believe Twist was drafting it up.

All these allegations of vote rigging come from foreign aggressors attempting to colonize our nation. And, since these idiots have obviously not checked the facts and history of this incident they have no fucking idea what is going on. The Fascist were elected by the people. After a peaceful change of power the socialist rebelled, only 47 million socialist in a country of 530 million plus, that is less than 10% of the population. Had it not been for NSAA disrupting our plans we would have put down this socialist rebelling with little loss of life by decatitating the leadership of the socialist, thousands, not millions would have died. Damn them all!
Penterra

"...And in other news, the nation of Hogsweat has decided to use the Red Bloc Army to invade the nation of the West Pacific for the fascism's 'crimes against humanity'. The Primary Electorate Joseph Deflare has this to say."

The scene on PNN (Penterra News Network) shifted to the familiar surroundings of the office of the Prime Electorate of the Democratic States of Penterra. The tall man known as Primary Electorate Joseph Deflare sat in his usual spot behind his large wooden desk.

"The Three Electorates have discussed this all-too-familiar scenario, in which a so-called 'democracy' is led by an imperialist leader and sent on a bid to conquer an innocent country because of what they might do in the distant future. As the nation of the West Pacific and her allies have already pointed out, the current fascist government was elected fairly by the people of that nation. While this perplexes the people of Penterra as much as it does many of the other nations in the world, it was nonetheless their decision. The basic premise that a democracy is built on is that the people should choose their leader. This has already been accomplished in the West Pacific.

"It is the belief of the Three Electorates, as well as the Senators and Representatives of Penterra's two houses of Congress, that this attack is nothing more than a bid for power by a nation that is not satisfied with its own borders and that will seek any excuse to expand.

"As of this day, April 5, 2004 C.E., the nation of Penterra is leveling economic sanctions upon the nation of Hogsweat. We would also like it to be known that, if Hogsweat still decides to move her region's forces, the small, yet effective military force of Penterra will be forced to move out in defense of the West Pacific. In addition, our elite force of engineers and supply forces will move in to aid the military of our impromptu ally. However, it is our sincere hope that such measures will not be necessary."

The Primary Electorate leaned back in his chair just as the camera switched to Micheal Dreston, PNN's leading anchorman.

"What a motivational speech. In other news, sales of the newest Harry Potter book continue to soar..."

Social Technocracia calls for restraint from both sides, and so we will not be sending in troops at this point. However, we suggest both sides begin peace talks with each other and if necessary split the country in half in order to stop this situation which is threatening to boil into a massive international conflict. We therefore will not intervene as of yet as we have no wish for more WP citizens to lose their lives. We ask instead that the two factions engage in peace talks instead of wars, in order to prevent millions of lives from being lost.

Split the country in half for a measly 10% of the population? Thats ludicrous and unfair to the other 90%, if those 10% of the population don't like the government they can pack up and leave!

We are holding negotiations in our country, all aggressions against the socialist will stop for now, we will not however cease to defend our land from the invasion by Hogsweat. But I repeat, we are stopping aggressions against the socialist in the East until negotiations either bring an acceptable end to these hostilities or negotiations break down and we are left with no other choice but to restart our hostilities with the socialist.

We are supporting WP on his decision to negotiate with the socialists, should hogsweat do try to invade, our armed forces will move to support WP(yes I know about the alliance hoggie, yet you cannot think to get away with this.)

(OOC) yipes. What the heck is going on here?

(IC) I am glad that Tiboritian allies Hogsweat and Anasia have withdrawn their militaries from West Pacific. I urge any other ally of mine, as well any other nations involved, to remove any military from West Pacific. Regardless of how anyone feels about the government of West Pacific, it is the choice of the people of West Pacific, and a democratically elected government should be respected as a sovereign power. The government of West Pacific has the right to govern the nation as it sees fit. No nations should be involved in the internal affairs of another.

It's a good thing you've withdrawn, seeing as Iuthia is also a dictatorship (though our people have exellent civil rights and generally agree with the system as proven by the UN report recently) and we would like to note that while you may not like the word "facist" it isn't a sole reason to kill a large percentage of their populace in a pointless war.

So, have your nations withdrawn their forces because you finally opened your eyes to the facts, or because I said I would hold negotiations to end your involvements in our internal problems?

So, have your nations withdrawn their forces because you finally opened your eyes to the facts, or because I said I would hold negotiations to end your involvements in our internal problems?I suspect its because world opinion was turning against them, and they determined that perhaps it would be wiser to appear to withdraw for reasons of democracy, which they evidently didn't care about when they invaded.

War is a horriffic, destructive force which should be avoided at all cost. The People of West Pacific have elected a form of government. The government deseves its autonomy. The Republic of Tiborita offers itself to host peace talks between the democratically elected government of West Pacific, the socialist opposition, and any other nation which looks towards hostilities in the West Pacific. We hope all parties realize that war only brings about the destruction of entire generations. We hope all parties back away from destruction. Please let peace rain in the West Pacific.
