Summary of what happend------>here (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=136013&highlight=)

OOC: Considering that Scandanavian states nuked a city of mine and my main base of operations (which is still partly opperational) I've decided to retaliate, in a fairly original way as I may say so.

behold operation: Tribute
Following information ment to explain the workings of this operation, Scandanavian States the following file is classified and my not be used by you as a tool of defence

Somewhere in a filling cabinet in the main vault of Farfetched prospect Apex facility

-----------------------------Operation Tribute: Last resort--------------------
only open the following file incase of use WMD on civilian targets by enemy which is larger then us

Topic suggested strike method

Due to problems of attacking a much larger enemy, which are great airdefence, naval power and land power. The only way to cause large amounts of damage to a enemy is by outsmarting them, thus we have come up with the next concept….underground strikes by highly specialized units.

Solution Strike method

The strike would consist of 3 “mole” units, although by the time this folder is opened tech might have better alternatives then the mole.

The mole units have to be dropped 200 to 400 km from enemy shore on the oceanic shelf, this is to aviod detection by the vastly superior enemy. The drop of on the oceanic floor would take place at a depth of 2000 to 4000 meters, this has to be done by special submarines addapted to the extreme pressure of this hostile environment.

The units “dig” their way towards targets over a period of 4 months or shorter time table. The digging is controlled by a automated system that can be changed by the outside incase of detection, which is slim at best.
When units have reached target area a nuclear device of 10 megatons will be detonated.

Predicted damage factors

Although this kind of attack is highly uncovenentional it can be very potent. When nuclear devices explode, the Ionizing of rock will leave a cavern of 1000 meters wide, this will cause a minor earth-quake. After this the second unit will move in near the cavern detonation itself causing the ocean bottom to collapse. The water will come to rush in, as soon as the rushing water has filled to hole the remaining water (dragging ships in) that was rushing towards the spot of collapse will collide (it comes from all directions) and will cause a tidalwave strong enough to destroy a fleet. These results look like natural phenomena which means that our military can cover their tracks.

Another way to attack is to use a near surface (the ocean floor) detonation causing a extreme water column desrtoying any ships in range (for refrance search google for Operation Hardtack and subject umbrella)

Units

Units to be used should be the “mole” miner,

http://members.lycos.nl/voicustyle/mole.jpg

3 of these Units are to be adapted to the extreme conditions they would encounter. Mole is adapted to dig down to a depth of 5000 meters

After being launched the miners ‘dig’ their way towards the target at 200 meters an hour. These speeds are possible by friction of the artificially diamond coated bit, the extreme friction of the bit will cause it to warm up and partially melt the rock it digs through, the bit then pushes the rock backwards where it blocks the way back. Movement is provided by for tracks that control direction. Propulsion is provided by a single nuclear reactor that provides enough power for the bit and tracks, there is enough nuclear fuel on the adapted version to last is for 200 days, which should be enough to attack.

*somewhere 400 km of the coast of Scanadanavian States*

[officer]
man...I really, really don't like deepsea missions...

[other officer]
I know what you mean, have 3km of water above your head isn't really what the job description said, action my ass

[onboard speaker]
We have arrived at location, all crews to active stations

Okay, ive started operation tribute, here is a outline

seriously, a mole?

I thought it was orignal enough to give it a try

Did anyone ever use this tactic before?

OOC: Not that I know of, probably because pressure greatly increases as you try to "dig". Pressure is far greater under the surface of the ocean floor than it is just plain under water. And how will you keep the mole from crushing? Couldn't be made of Steel, Steel crushes at depths of 1200m and I'm not sure of Titanium but it couldn't be much deeper.

OOC:Actually, as soon you go underground the rock supports itself..it doesn't all press down, Water is a liquid so it can flow, and doesn't support other water paricles, Rock on the other hand does support itself...and I never said the device was made out of titanium, the "bit" is made out of this, covered with diamond

[The rock supports itself because it weighs hundreds of millions of tons and the techtonic plates move to relieve pressure in the form of earthquakes. I'm going to have to say no to this for two reasons.

1) Doujin hasn't decided whether or not to ignore the incident that led up to this.
2) This strikes me as uber-unstoppable and future tech, neither quality was present in my attack. And even if you can prove the science behind this, it still has an uber stench to it that would cause me to ignore it.

Sub-orbital bombers are about as close to unstoppable as I'm willing to accept, because in reality they can be stopped if you have the right equipment. This... just no.]

Ow c'mon dude..I put alot of efforod in this, and it is stopable, for instance, you can check for seismic activity

OOC: I think that Doujin is ignoring the whole attack, so this whole thing may be a little bit of a lost cause...

[Great, so I know something is coming, but not what it is. It still doesn't mean I have anything to stop it. And you haven't RPed how your ships even got into Haven, because Edolia and I run really heavy naval patrols on the northern Haven Straits.) Furthermore, that drop point of yours isn't 400km from my coast, it's most like 4,000km. Overall, still no and don't think you're going to pursuade me.

EDIT: Doujin has IGNORED you and your nuking of him. I'm going to follow suit.]

ah well, atleast everything is reseted, i shall change my ways and start over from where I was before I attacked
