TRANSCRIPT OF SPEECH BY MAYOR RICHARD M. DALEY FROM DALEY PLAZA.

People of Chicago, I have been your mayor for almost 20 years. My father reigned longer. Since I will never be voted out and wish for the Daley's to continue control of the City/State of Chicago, I announce a dictatorship. I have long exercised dictorial powers when I annexed suburbs to expand O'Hare and tore down Meigs so I could build the Richard M. Daley Park. I got you taxpayers to build Da Bears a new stadium. I have long been a dictator with the name of a democratic mayor.

I am now purging the gov. of political enemies. 1st to go is the fire commissioner. I will control the Tribune and Sun Times. The only good news is Jesse Jackson's son can't buy the paper. You Chicagoans are now under my control.

oh jesus, come on man. I was born and raised in chi-town, and i think he's done pretty damn well for most politicians in this country. Would you rather have a different/alternating public policies every four years? Nothing would ever get finished! That's why the only president who was able to successfully pull us out of a depression and make us prosperous again was F.D.R.

OCC: The key to your point is RAISED. Recently he has gained dictorial powers and has abused Chicagoans with corruption. His father, Richard J. Daley was one of the most corrupt mayors in the history of the US and was quite close to mob leader Sam "The Camel" Giancanna, who ironically was my great-grandparents next door neighbor until Giancanna got wacked. The current mayor is so corrupt he makes his father look like an honest politician.

I condem this action!
And with North Germany behind me I am ready to fight if you do not back down and let Koiian bring Chicago back to its democratic state!

OCC: Chicago is really a dictatorship in real life. The Daley's will always control the city and buldoze airports they don't want, build Millenium Park that was suppose to be finished in 2000 for $100 million, but is yet to be finished and costs $350 million. He accepts bribes from the mob and is a corrupt SOB. I hate Mayor Daley

$40 million dollars annually for trucks to sit idle after he told us all he was broke?

If those damn councillors and aldermen looked up from their damn slop buckets that I have to pay to constantly fill, they'd see what a mess he's made of the place, except they'd probably make a larger mess. We're getting MURDERED with property taxes (and the resultant rise in prices for EVERYTHING), they are going to put parking meters down at Wrigley Field so you have to pay for a parking ticket to watch the game, they boot people's cars with impunity (Someone I know's car just got impounded for TWO outstanding parking tickets in '97 that were for a car he doesn't even own anymore), and even with the unemployment problem they decided no jobs is better than letting Wal-Mart put some damn stores down so we can buy things at prices that let us live....and don't give me any false choices, I'm not asking to trade mayors, I'm asking for a good one.
