"Good evening, and welcome to the Rodasnian Information Network. Our top story tonight is the insurrection against a our beloved leader Jureel Dartan. Armed rebels have begun attacking police and army units across the nation, though the heaviest fighting has centered on our lovely capital of Dartanagrad. The vile rebels have been heavily engaged with units of the People's Militia, our country's elite fighting unit, who are valiantly defending our capital. The rebels are rumored to be led by former Prime Minister Arthur von Hoff, whose vile and dictatorial rule was over thrown over 8 years ago by our Valiant and Great Leader, Comrade Dartan. Although it has been rumored that certain army units have joined these rebels, these rumors should be treated as vile lies and propaganda spread by the rebels. Inform your local Party Leader or Police Officer of anyone spreading these rumors, or others similar to them. We now go live to Dartanagrad. Comrade Reporter?"

The image changes to that of a young man wearing a helmet, flak vest, and a red armband with the Hammer, Sickle, and Sword on it. The street behind is bullet marked and an overturned automobile burns. Several uniformed soldiers, supported by and armored car advance cautiously up the street in the background. Sounds of fighting and gunfire are heard, and the reporter must shout to be heard.

"Good evening Comrade! I'm here on 38th street where most of the heavy fighting has taken place, though it has now moved up the street towards Dartan Plaza and the White River. As you can see, the People's Militia is doing an excellent job of flushing out the rebels!"

As he says this, an RPG streaks from a nearby window and the armored car explodes in fireball. The reporter ducks involuntarily and looks behind him as soldiers scatter for cover, firing at the windows. The reporter turns back to the camera looking shaken.

"Live from Dartanagrad, I'm John Asterver."

The image switches back to the young woman.

"We'll go back to Comrade John once the area is secure enough for reporting again."

Well, he hated most other forms of government besides democracy, since he had led the revolution in Romakia to replace the socialist government formerly in power. His decision was simple, he'd send in whatever he had for a Romakian Army to assist the rebels, although he wasn't sure if they were pro-democracy, but he didn't care at this moment. He quickly sent the order to have 12000 troops immediately deployed to Rodasnia, and silently. A forward force of about 400 would be parachuted in first.*

*High above Rodasnia, the lumbering C-5s and C-17s that were acquired by Romakia rumble through the air.

Sgt. Ernest Trosen glanced to the 58 soldiers aboard the lead C-17 and gave a signal, the ready signal. Immediately after, all 58 of them stood up and hooked their parachute pull-cords to the drop line. Sgt Trosen began counting off the seconds with his right hand... as he got to three he hit the green button that opened the rear ramp, as it slid up and revealed the clouds and landscape below, the men gripped their AK-74s a bit harder, a few gulped, this will have been their first combat experience outside Romakia. As Trosen reached one, he pointed to the open ramp and shouted to the men, "Go, Go, Go!"

Each man nodded as they stepped forward and began leaping out of the C-17, the pull-cords being pulled from their parachute packs and releasing their parachutes... Within a minute and a half, all 58 men were now gently descending to the land below along with 360 or so other men from the other transports.

Eventually, the forward elements of the drop force touched down and set up a perimeter. Within 10 minutes all the men had landed and gathered up their chutes and moved to a central point to come up with a plan. For now, they had to wait as new transports would come and drop off a few UAZs and supplies and ammunition into this same location.

Along with the transports were 16 fighters, 6 Su-27s and 10 MiG-29s. Four MiG-29s remained to protect the transports and escort them back to the air base in Romakia. The rest of the fighters broke off and raced towards the city of Dartanagrad. At about 20 miles out the aircraft descend to about 1200 feet and arm most of their air-to-ground missiles and bombs, the Su-27s quickly locate any military targets that intelligence shows as being operated by the government.

A Rodasnian radar station picks up the approaching air fleet, and the paratroopers as they begin dropping. The young man at the screen turns to his superior officer.

"Comrade! Enemy aircraft in sector 38!"

"Scramble all availble fighters! Immediatley!"

A squadron of Su-27s and 4 MiG-29s take off immediately, heading on an interecept course with the enemy aircraft preparing to engage. As the pilots scramble to their fighters, SAM sights outside of Dartanagrad lock onto the aircraft and a message is transmitted to the Romakian aircraft

"Leave Rodasnian airspace once, or we will open fire! Thid will be your only warning!"

In the paratroopers landing zone, several armed men, wearing army helmets and blue armbands with a yellow sunburst in the middle rush into the field, waving their AK-74s and shouting gretings to the descending paratroopers.

"Welcome to Rodasnia friends!"

"Sir, they have rejected the offer."

"Offer them a million of this dollar currency. If we ally ourselves with a winning rebellion, they will be forever in our debt. And of course, allies are always a godo things to have. Consider it an investment."

The Terronian Aircraft Carrier TRS Dimitri Tabolov floats 60 Miles of the coast of Rodasnia. Theres a mist out tonight and the moon cast an eerie shadow over the ship.

A deckman comes running in to the Admirals cabin.

Deckman: Sir, theres been an air raid by the Romakians

Admiral: No Shit!

Deckman: Yes sir!

Admiral: Well i get the High Command on the horn.

Admiral leaves to radio Terronian High Command. 8 mins later comes running out.

Up on the deck of the ship men and women run around hastily to get the planes ready.

The yellow sqaudron consisting of 30 Su-69's takes off.


Yellow-12: this is yellow 12. We are currently flying over nuetral airspace and have met the enemy. Begin attack!

Delpoy the Navy and Marines,just in case ready the Reserve and the National Gaurd, the army is too busy right now.

Expiditionary forces begin takeing off from terronian carrier an landing in Rodasnia. After 12 hours of skirmishes with Rebel forces they were able to clear a beacchead for the landing of the main army. Terronian is going to mobilise the Terronian poeples army and the Terronian Royal Guard.

AZK forces can use our beachead to land troops. Also we are setting up a makeshift runway for cargo planes to begin entering with supplies.

The troops quickly arrive via steamship, and begin setting up fortifications near a major highway.

A large number of First Order Riflemen (our best-trained troops short of our special forces) ascend over a cliff and readied them to fire upon any military convoys coming by.

"Raise the rebellion over the wireless." said General Barstow, the commander on the scene. "Tell them we have an ambush set up near the road, and request further instructions on how we can be of assistance."

It will take me a whole 10 days to get my force on shores...so we got 10(NS)days to wait...

OOC: As for my troops, assume that it took about a week for the steamships to get there.

Terronian Yellow Sqaudron begins pounding and bombing Imperiala Forces planning on ambushing road. The enemy was pickled up by a Terronian Spy Satilitte. The enmy did fire a few planes but were only able to shoot down 2 Planes. Enemy casualtys unknown.

Hey our aircrafts are just tehre to help take down the enmy planes. Anyway the Yellow Sqaudron are some of the most feared fighters in the world, challenge them and there will be heavy losses.

*As the quickly steaming carriers move nearer to Rodasnia, they launch the first wave of fighter/bombers(F/A-18s) a total of 96 F/A-18s take off. Marine assault ships launch 48 JSF . Thier mission is simple intelligence and light attacks.

*Inside the cockpits of the Su-27s, incessant beeping goes off as the aircraft's sensors pick up the SAM lock on...

"SAMs active, being painted!" shouts Lt. Dominic Argall.

"Roger. Skipper Four has spotted SAM batteries, turn to heading Eight dash Zero," replies Captain Del Coates.

"Aye" returns Argall. He banks his Su-27 and screams towards the SAM site... As do the rest of the Su-27s. He quickly arms one of his air-to-ground missiles... Targets the radar of the SAM missile and depresses the fire button, a flash of light and the missile rockets forward, roaring towards the SAM site, as do two other missiles from two other Su-27s. Two of the other Su-27s immediately move to another site and lock on to it, each releasing a missile towards the site.

The last two target another SAM site and each fire a missile immediately after, both missiles heading towards the SAM battery.

MiG-29 pilot Major Jon Berce glances to his radar... "We have a shitload of bogies inbound... We're heavily outnumbered. "

"Roger, Engage anyways" replies Lt. Col. Davis. He banks his Fulcrum and meets an enemy MiG-29 head-on, he lets loose with his 30mm cannon and fires off a good 60 shots at it. Another MiG in the flight lets loose a short range air-to-air missile, locked onto the heat signature of one of the enemy MiG-29s.

"No matter what, keep those assholes off of our Su's. We have to let those -27's complete the mission." shouted Davis amidst a spat of cannon fire and some quick maneuvering.

"Roger, we've got em' covered." replied Major Curt Leslie, just before he fired off a medium-range AA missile at an incoming MiG-29.

The Romakian paratroopers stay in a defensive position as a few of the paratroopers greet the 'rebels'.

"We have to know where to go and what to attack... What's giving your rebellion the hardest time so far?" Colonel Schnabel glances to the leader of the rebel force that greeted them...

Additional troops have been deployed to meet the paratroopers, but are being harrassed by Rebel forces. 1,650 men of the People's Army are to meet the paratroopers.

A cruise missile takes off from TRS Dimitri Tabolov and is inbound for Romakian positions.

The Terronian Invincable Aeger Naval fleet is 3 NS days away from Rodasia nad is currenlty housing the Terronian Military.

At the ambush, the troops quickly took cover. Aircraft were only used as transports and recon vehicles at this point for them, so they were extremely shocked. Forty-seven out of one hundred troops sent up were killed.

"Send a call on the wireless! Send for the maxim guns!" yelled the commander of the troops up on the hill. The communications troop went in, and said, "They are bombarding us with flying artillary. It is unlike anything I have ever seen before. Our rifles proved to be largely ineffective. We need maxim guns, preferably pom-poms (a larger variant of the Maxim Gun, an early machine gun)."

"Acknowledge. We are sending up maxims and pom-poms. Hold in there, troops."

OOC: i find it funny your using civil war tech very interesting

The AZK destoyers launch a total of 192 tomahawk cruise missles to know Imperiala forces positions...

OOC: Actually, late 1800s to early 1900s, but, yeah. I've been on NationStates since very early on, and realized that out of all the nations I have had, and have right now, (I've had the first nation I made all along) I have none at the tech level mentioned.

"Sir, we are being shelled!" "Retreat all troops to the caves! Hide a small group with a wireless to listen for transmissions from the rebellion in that grove of trees!" yelled Barstow.

All the troops quickly made for the caves, as losses were taken from the "shells."

Terronian Royal Gaurd and Poeples Army lands on beachead in Rodasnia. As they have not yet made positive communication with Rodasnian dforces they are confused as to who to attack. They Yellow Sqadron is currently on air patrol to ensure of no air attacks on terronian positions. Also S.A.M guns are being carried in from transport boats.

Lt. Alexi Andrei twisted his fighter to the side, narrowly avoiding the burst of cannon fire and triggered his own at an on coming enemy plane, gritting his teeth as he fired. A nearby explosion rocked his aircraft and he looked to his left, seeing his wingman disintigrate into a cloud of small metal bits.

"Damn! Up and at them comrades!"

Suddenly, an incessant pinging filled his cockpit.

"Missle lock! Shit!" He twisted to the side, blowing chaff as he did so, but to no avail as the missle closed steadily. Closing his eyes, he reached between his legs and yanked the ejector ring, as the missle hit his tailpipes. Blasting clear of the doomed aircraft, he begins hsi slow descent to Terra Firma.

SAMs open fire, attempting to avenge their companions as the MiG flight group closes, firing missles and other weapons.

Terronian Destroyer TRS Irvin Hatodeg sinks mysterously.

OOC: In an open battlefield, yes, but many sniper rifles are bolt-action. Our strategy would probaly be guerilla warfare with a lot of sniping. It'll be a challenge to roleplay this to a victory, but I'm always up for a challenge.

At sea, quite aways away from the Terronian naval fleet, a 941AX-class ballistic submarine and its three escorts run silent, just sitting near the bottom...

"Sir, a Terronian ship has fired a cruise missile at one of our positions. We don't know where its going to hit but the President wants us to fire back..."

"Hmm... Alright, plaster em'."

"Aye sir"

The weapons officer moves to his station and activates sixteen of the sub's PAC-56A Javelin cruise missiles, which can and will be used in the role of anti-ship. He gives the order to fire and the tubes open, compressed air lifting the cruise missiles to the surface as their jets ignite... Lifting them up into the air where they level out and descent to an altitude of only about 20 feet, all sixteen cruise missiles roar towards the Terronian fleet. Most if not all the cruise missiles should slam into their targets and either destroy or severely cripple any enemy ships.

The 400 paratroopers seperate into two groups, a 300 man group and a 100 man group, the 100 men stay behind to protect the landing zone while the 300 assist the rebels in engaging the government forces. Paratroops with anti-tank launchers utilize their weapons to fire off salvos at the government troops to keep them at bay and let the rebels engage them. About 150 men of the group push forward with the rebels and engage the government soldiers.

Light losses reported so far... About six men dead and another eight wounded.

"Welcome to Rodasnia Comrades! I am Colonel William Farragut of the 5th Guards Armored Corp. the rest of the Corp is awaiting you inland."

The Officer leads them to where his staff car and several other vehicles wait.

Heavy fighting continues in downtown Dartanagrad, as the People's Militia continues skirmihsing with the rebels, though most pockets of rebel resistance have either fallen back from the city or been destroyed.

"I think we should work on holding the capital, if necessary, I could send about 5,000 special forces immdeitally and 12,500 parartroopers within 1 hour.

The 1,650 government troops now find themselves pinned down by the paratroopers abd rebels, but enagage ina a fighting retreat, leaving 23 of their number dead, and pulling along about 12 wounded, returning the accurate enemy fire as best they can.

All seems lost for for the Rodasnian Forces as they are attempting to retreat. Suddnely 10,000 Terronia Royal Guards come running out of the forest surrounding the battlefield. The Terronians and the Rodasnian have a staredown. One of the generals of the Terronians walks up to the ROdasnians. "Get the hell outta here well hold them fore you",. The Terronian ROyal Guards begin fighting the enmy troops.

Okay AZK and Rodasnia should fight the rebels. Let me worry about Romakia. Well both attack Imperiala forces when we see them.

The 12th regiment of the 8thArmy has been deployed to attack the paratroops and rebels, as their numbers are as yet unknown. T-72s, carrying Rodasnian infantry roar to the attack.

Lt. Argall has no time to maneuver before the cannon fire rips into the cockpit, depressurizing it and killing his weapons officer... A few rounds hit his air-intake and ripped apart his turbine, shutting down number 2 engine... One of his aileroins wasn't working and his MiG-29 was in a downward spiral... Bad day, he thought, he pulled the ejection ring to his side and his seat shot up and away from the burning MiG... His parachute deployed and his ejection seat dropped way, then, he was ripped apart by an AA gun on the ground.... The crippled MiG crashes to the ground in a thunderous explosion, near an AA position.

Another MiG-29 gets a missile straight up the exhaust, blowing up the entire rear half of the plane and killing the WSO with 150 pounds of shrapnel in the back and head. The pilot survives and ejects, gently touching down on the surface below...

Two Su-27s get blown out of the sky by a half-dozen SAMs, crews of both killed instantly. The twisted wreckage falls to the ground.

The other Su-27s move to their primary target, the Rodasnian air fields, each Su-27 remaining (four) arm all six of their air-to-ground munitions left and release them. Destruction should be pretty catastrophic, destroying a good number of planes as the bombs were targeted onto hangars and aircraft sitting outside. A few of the munitions were dropped above the air base's command center and one Su-27 opened fire with its 30mm cannon on the air controller tower...

At Camp Lynchburg, in the east half of Romakia, the cruise missile slams into the army barracks there, incinerating 35 soldiers, destroying two barracks, and destroying four UAZs and a BMP. 48 other soldiers are wounded in the strike.

i have been securing a beachead for a while now. You would know if you was reading my post which i think your ignoring. Also im landing withoit your consent.

OOC- Terronian, I don't have any surface ships so your anti-ship missiles aren't going to find anything to hit... And your aircraft... They won't be able to find the subs unless you've got an ASW aircraft along with. Which you don't.

And also, how'd you get 12000 of your soldiers in that forest so fast and without RPing it?

The Su-27s have completed their mission and they fly as fast as they canback to Romakia. Two more MiG-29s are shot down, both shot down by the Terronians...

Eighteen more aircraft enter their airspace, all Su-27s, they immediately engage the government ground forces, releasing missiles at the retreating forces. Four Su-27s make a steep dive over a heavy concentration of the government soldiers and each release four canisters of napalm, the canisters hit the ground and ignite, sending up a 40-50 acre patch into flames, undoubtedly covering a LOT of government soldiers.

The rest of the Su-27s begin harassing the forces with bombs and bomblets. Four more Su-27s strafe a column of government troops with their 30mm cannons. Eight MiG-29s and four MiG-31s move in for air cover.

Unnoticed above, due to the large amount of Su-27s and MiGs, eight transports move over the drop zone and drop another 200 paratroopers and sixteen SIV-11 infantry fighting vehicles along with eight T-05A, light tanks.

The force comes down relatively unharassed, although four soldiers were killed by sporadic ground fire...

As soon as the force lands, they regroup with the 100 soldiers left behind and remain at the site...Four of the SIV-11s are dedicated anti-air units, four are dedicated anti-tank, two are dedicated long-range (with mortars and heavier gun), and the rest are standard.

At sea, the anti-ship missiles fired by Terronians just cruise above the surface and on until they hit their maximum range, where they explode...

The crews of the subs don't really care about the aircraft because they are no threat for the time being...

Airraid sirens wail as the SU-27s make their run. Air crews and pilots scatter for cover. Within moments the airbase is in flames, as several hangars explode with planes still inside of them. Ground crew are tossed aside like dolls.

In the aircraft control tower the suprised staff manage to duck beneath their consoles as cannon fire shatters the windows and shreds control surfaces.

OOC:
Romakia-Sorry about that. About six SAMs are taken out, two damaged and about a city block get's leveled.

With that said, I must retire for the night. I'll try and pick this up tomorrow.

I'll be gone for a while so don't do too much to me.

Terronian Yellow Sqaudron meets up with Romakian Fleet.

Pilot1: What the hell theres nothing here.

"Get maxims, artillary pieces, and pom-poms to the head of the caves. Send out some thirds to explore the cave system. Send out one-hundred firsts into the jungles towards the highway. They will not be able to spot us, however the bloody hell they did it, with us in the jungles. Have the wireless team send out another transmission to the rebellion, telling of our situation and asking them to bloody acknowledge! Have them move so the enemy cannot triangulate the transmission." said Barstow.

The one-hundred firsts moved out through a hole in the caves into the jungle. They waited in the jungle, near the road. They had a two maxim guns and a pom-pom with them.

(Just so you know, the pom-poms were quite powerful. They fired a 1.457 inch (37.008mm) shell.)

"Sir, we're recieving a transmission...in morse code? Lemme get the code book..."

The officer quickly translates the message

"Holed up in caves. Stop. Sending troops into forest. Stop. Please acknowledge. Stop. Imperiala. Stop."

"Damn! Send a reply"

"Message acknowledged. Troops en route to your position. Over and out."

---Rodasnian Ground Forces

As the Su-27s make their runs, a soldier lifts a laser guided AA shoulder mounted "fire-and-forget" Rocket lanucnher to thsi shoulder. He squeezes the trigger and a rocket streaks into the sky, hurtling after the neaest Su-27. Meanwile, an officer yells into a radio

"We need air cover, dammit! They're slaughtering us!"

5 minutes later 6 MiG-29s and 4 F-22s lift off from the nearest (intact) airbase on an intercept course.

"Sir, they recieved our message and are sending re-enforcements." "Excellent." said Barstow.

Major Archibald Graham led his troops through the jungle. It was near dusk now. They came through the highway, and stopped. "The 12th regiment of the Loyalist military is believed to be traveling through this road." said Graham. "They number one thousand, six hundred. We will be outnumbered sixteen to one, but we have the Maxims! We have the element of surprise! We are Imperialists, and members of the First Order! We can take them! We will take them! Once we spot them, however, we will raise the command center on the wireless and get re-enforcements. General Barstow did not want to extend out our forces too much without confirmation." He paused a moment, and gave orders. "We believe their armored cars are traveling seprately than their lorries carrying the troops. Aim the pom-poms at the engine blocks to disable them, and focus on the lead vehicle first. Shoot at the troops with the other weapons."

Just before the sun finished setting, the convoy came over the horizon. "Hold fire" whispered Graham, "Until we can accurately fire the pom-poms upon the engine block of the lead vehicle."

It drove up. A troop shot towards the driver's cabin with his rifle, and the pom-poms fired upon the engine block. Maxim guns and rifles opened fire on the troops in the back of the lead truck. The troops fired with discipline and accuracy. Re-enforcements were requested over the wireless.

"They have made contact, sir." "Send three thousand troops through the jungle through the path they cleared. Should only take about ten minutes for them to get there in a run."

Three thousand troops ran out through the path, and quickly made it to the battle. They open fire en masse with their rifles.

Commander Kijies: "Yes,sir, but what about the 1st airborne and the 1-5 spec ops?"

General Smith: "The 1st airborne will be by the caves, where as the special operations are by the enemy drop field."

Commander Kijies: "Alrighty."

The pilot had no time to react before the rocket slams into the fuselage of the Su-27, just aft of the main turbine assembly, one turbine shaft disconnects and tears upwards, ripping through the upper fuselage and ripping off the starboard wing. The turbine's blades come apart and rip up the air intake assembly and the other turbine's blades, tearing up the fuselage... Not a second later and the entire aircraft erupts in flame, incinerating the crew and plummeting the fireball of an Su-27 into the ground.

As the enemy MiGs and F-22s came into radar view, the MiG-29s and MiG-31s providing air cover immediately mobilized into action. The four MiG-31s immediately head into the fray and begin the deadly tango with the four Rodasnian F-22s. Tight maneuvers, high-speed turns, banks, and dives lead to an almost stalemate among the F-22s and MiG-31s. Finally, one MiG-31 pilot gets the handle on the F-22 he's been trailing and fires off a radar-guided, third generation missile. It streaks through the sky at four times the speed of the F-22.

Two MiG-31s team up on one F-22, one fires off cannon fire at close range while the other locks on a radar-guided missiles and lets it fly, it trails the F-22.

The lone MiG-31 is getting harassed by two F-22s as it attempts to outmaneuver (unsuccessfully) the F-22s and at least keep them distracted so his MiG-31 brethren can finish off two of the F-22s before they engage the final two. He continues his manuevers until he's relieved by four Su-47 Berkut fighters which scream in from Romakian airspace after being called in by the MiG-29 pilots tangling with the Rodasnian MiG-29s. The Su-47s immediately begin harassing the two F-22s before an Su-47 gets a firing solution on one of the F-22s and releases a radar-guided missile that leaps in front of the Su-47 and trails the F-22, ready to slam into its fuselage.


Meanwhile, the eight MiG-29s with the Romakian force harass the six MiG-29s of Rodasnia. It's a dead-heat as the exact same aircraft attempt to get a leg-up on each other. Fortunately, we outnumber them 4:3, not much of an advantage, but with the same aircraft, its better than nothing. All eight MiG-29s split into four two-plane groups and rocket up to about 45,000 feet. Two of the trailing MiG-29s immediately target a foolish Rodasnian MiG-29 that followed them up. The Romakian lead MiG-29 lets loose a heat-seeking missile and pulls back, knowing the missile isn't going to miss this time, especially at this range. The rest of the MiG-29s begin to engage the Rodasnian aircraft, missiles are flying, cannons are roaring and lead fills the air.

Meanwhile, on the ground...

"Alright, we have a forward force in Rodasnia that's secured a small area in the middle of the country and has rendezvous'd with the rebels there. However, they've got a fairly large Rodasnian government force out there, but our air force is handing them their asses, so we've got to get a sizeable armor force into Rodasnia through here..." the Lt. General points to a highlighted blue line. "That, is our only link to the Rodasnia, that 14 mile strip. Fortunately, intelligence indicates there are no Rodasnian government forces in the area and it should be a stroll through the park on getting in. "

"Sir, what do we have for forces that are going to be heading in? And what about defending that area?"

"Good question. We're taking the 3rd Army Corps into Rodasnia, that's 12000 men and 240 tanks, mainly T-80s and T-90s. We'll also be sending in a few detached mechanized battalions with BMPs, BTRs, and the like. Air cover will be provided by a squadron of MiG-29s, MiG-31s, and a wing of the Reserve's MiG-21s, mainly as cannon fodder." he laughs a bit, along with most of the officers present. "Major General Starr also wanted us to send in some helicopter forces, so we're sending in a few army aviation regiments with Mi-24s, Mi-26s, Ka-52s, and a few Mi-18 Hoplites with air cavalry forces, mainly to be used as a scout and forward deployment force." He then moves his finger across the small area, inside Romakia and says, "Defending the Romakian border will be the 5th Infantry Division, 17th Infantry Division, and a few of our reserve battalions, which will number to almost 7000 soldiers with some 180 tanks involved. That should be more than enough to defend it, plus we have the Hatton Army Base only twenty six miles away."

"What's the plan of action?"

"Well, we're going to send in the air cav to set up a defensive area about eight to ten miles in, then we'll send in the bulk of our armor forces, followed by our mechanized infantry, then our standard infantry. After we get our forces in, we'll kind-of 'bleed' into Rodasnia... Just expanding outward and after we get about 30 to 40 miles in, we'll set up a forward deployment base for supplies and reinforcements, then rendezvous with rebel forces and unleash hell on Rodasnian government troops. Ready? Alright." he glances to his watch. "In ten minutes, sixty Mi-24s, forty Mi-26s, fifty-six Ka-52s, and thirty-eight Mi-18s are lifting off and heading into Rodasnia... You, my friends, are the senior field officers that will be leading the ground charge into Rodasnia. Your men are among the finest in Romakia and with the finest equipment we can provide. You will move out twenty minutes after the air cav departs, your men and equipment are ready and awaiting your command. With my blessing, our leader's blessing and the blessing of Romakia's people, get the hell out of my tent and kick ass and take names..."

-The group of officers in the tent shout enthusiastically and run out to their waiting forces.-

Ten minutes later...

*The thumping of the rotors of the nearly 200 helicopters increases and a handful of Mi-26s gently lift off the ground, followed by Ka-52s, Mi-24s, and the Mi-18s. They increase velocity and head towards Rodasnia in a staggered line formation...

Roughly a half hour later, they descend into the clearings deep within Rodasnia, a total of 650 troops pile out of Mi-24s and Mi-18s, they immediately secure the area and await the arrival of the ground force.

-GROUND FORCE-

Their diesel engines roar to life as the 60 ton machines roll across Romakiang round. The forty-eight T-90s leading the rest of the 240 tank force. A few Mi-24 escort gunships hover over head and trail the force. Behind the tanks, nearly three-hundred armor personnel carriers, mainly BMPs, trail behind, each one filled with 8 men. A mile behind them, a small garrison of T-90s followed by URAL trucks, UAZs, and a few scattered BMPs and BTRs, followed once again by a small garrison of mainly reserve T-72s and a handful of T-80s.

The massive force begin rolling towards Rodasnia...

OOC: Waiting for a response, I decided to do some other attack.

IC:

"We need some sort of a way to stike back at the enemy. They used aircraft as flying artillary platforms, how about we try." said General Barstow, turning to the Air Corps liason, Colonel Victor Jackson.

"Well, I would say our best bet for a sucessful mission is using the Pigeons. They've got the thickest skin of any of our aircraft, two maxim guns, and enough space in it to store some dynamite pieces we could light and drop down."

"Excellent. Strike..." said Barstow, turning to a map on a table with little bakelite (an early plastic) figures representing different troop movements. and considering for a moment. "Here." he said, pointing to AfrikaZkorps formation moving towards the capital. He then took his riding crop and pushed two bakelite pieces representing two squardrons of Pigeon utility aircraft.

"Yes, sir. My troops and I will get right to it."

The Pigeons were wheeled out of the caves, and they took off. Each had a pilot and a gunner.

Once they got within range, the pilot triggered on the forward moutned maxim gun, and the gunners began firing their maxim guns, on rotating mounts. Once they got over the troops, they would stop firing, and the gunner would begin lighting and throwing out the window sticks of dynamite lashed together. This would be repeated over and over again by all forty aircraft participating in the first ground attack in the history of the Imperialist Air Corps.
