Joint Official Release
The Office of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Republic of Maitsonland
The Office of The Chancellor of the Maitsonland Senate
MAITSONLAND OPEN FOR DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS
=============================================
The people of Maitsonland are concerned over the current government's policy on remaining isolated from the rest of the world. They feel that our nation will become irrelevant in the endless mass of new nations emerging. Many also see the benefits of creating new allies to help Maitsonland and others through this time of uncertainty.
In response to growing pressure from the public in general, as well as from other political constitutions such as the Maitsonland Socialist Federation (MSF), the government has announced a new campaign to form diplomatic alliances with other nations of the world that are facing similar problems that our nation is experiencing now, to nations who might be able to assist us in the future, or to nations that might need our assistance in time.
Maitsonland at this stage, is prepared to meet with representatives from other nations to determine whether it will be in both our nations interests to exchange ambassadors and create embassies on a permanent basis. From there, their could be the possibility of enhancing trade and cultural links, but all in due time. This government is not prepared to rush into any hasty decisions.
In short, Maitsonland is wishing to meet representatives from other nations to discuss the possibility of creating permanent diplomatic ties and to enhance relations over time.
The people of Maitsonland look forward to creating a better place to live for all nations.
