Soviet Bloc

Cheif Marshal of the Army Alexj Tyrovsky and Generalissimo of the Armed Forces Serj Vhitov, after nearly a week of talks with numerous Soviet Bloc officials, have set up a massive refit plan to revitalize, upgrade, and strengthen the ARSB's Army.
-----------------------------------------------
I.
The first part of this plan includes the implementation of the Vepr Advanced Modular Defense and Combat System (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=135920&highlight=) to all combat soldiers of the Army. Implementing this system will bring our combat infantrymen to the Future Combat System requirements that were set up two years ago. Overall, this system will be distributed to all 1.7 million combat infantrymen in the ARSB's Army. The Vepr systems have already been distributed to the nation's SpetsNaz and other special forces and will soon make their way to the 440,000 soldiers of the ARSB's Airborne Assault forces, and then to the nation's Airborne Cavalry forces, and finally to the nation's 700,000 standard infantrymen. This plan covers a time period of roughly 8-9 years, with each new 'section' of the Army receiving all of their Vepr suits over a period of 2-3 years. With these new suits, a new level of weapon-soldier integration is capable... Allowing for the soldier to engage and destroy targets without ever bringing the weapon up to his shoulder and aiming. This is accomplished using the M-870 weapon camera and mount system which can be configured to attach to assault rifles, sniper rifles, machine guns, light machine guns, recoil-less rifles, anti-aircraft missile launchers, and anti-tank missile launchers. The combat rifleman of the future ARSB Army will be armed with the RSR-39XA assault rifle. The light machinegunner of the future ARSB Army will be armed with the RSR-39XM light machine gun. The squad machine gunner of the future ARSB Army will be armed with the PK-XA Soviet Bloc modified machine gun. And the other components will be armed with appropriate weapons.
II.
The second part of this plan calls for the expansion of the ARSB's helicopter forces, airborne assault forces, and regular infantry forces. The helicopter forces would be expanded from 650 combat-ready attack helicopters to 960 attack helicopters (primarily made up by the SAH-04 and the SAH-17A). The airborne assault forces would be increased from 440,000 to 490,000. The regular infantry would be expanded from 700,000 to 760,000. The ARSB's Airborne Cavalry forces will remain roughly the same at about 120,000 and the ARSB's Mechanized Infantry Corps numbers will remain the same at about 580,000. The ARSB's vast armor corps will remain the same with about 5100 assorted armored vehicles. The T-05D will begin replacing the T-05B in the airborne armor corps. The T-05D is a heavily upgraded and technologically advanced version of the Soviet Bloc-designed T-05 light airdroppable tank. The SAH-17 next generation attack helicopter will begin making up the majority of the ARSB's helicopter attack forces. The ST-11 Next generation battle tank will being making up the bulk of the ARSB's armor forces. These 'updates' will give the ARSB a technological advantage in infantry combat on the ground, tank combat, and airborne army combat using airborne forces and helicopters, ultimately giving the ARSB superiority during any ground engagement.
III.
The final part of this plan is the way the Army Reserves are set up. The Reserves will be expanded from 620,000 to about 700,000. The Army Reserve's airborne assault corps will increase in number from 66,000 to about 100,000. The Army Reserve will also receive about 600 of the Army's ST-09, T-04, T-06, and T-08 tanks to add new dimensions to the Reserve's aging T-72s, T-80s, and T-90s. The Army Reserve will also receive some 120 SAH-01, SAH-03, and Mi-26 attack helicopters from the Army to support the Reserves' own Mi-24, Ka-52, and SAH-01 attack helicopters.
This plan will last from anywhere between 8-12 years and cost the ARSB some $6-7 trillion USD.
-------------------------------------------------
Overall, this plan will increase the size of the ARSB's standing army, increase its technological advantage over any enemy, and bolster its Reserves to support the main force and defend the ARSB's territory.
