Following Mr. Hawkins resignation as Consul, dozens in his administration have followed his lead, from secretaries all the way up to Hawkin's right-hand man, Assistant to the Consul. As the Senate-ordered internal investigation into the Consul's Office progresses, many are beginning to understand the mass desertion.

Comissioned by acting Head of State, Senator Hill, the investigatory team has compiled nearly seventy pages and taken dozens of testimonies already on the internal workings of the administration, revealing shocking information long kept secret from both the Senate and the Eredron people.

High-ranking members of the investigation appeared before the Senate of Majorities, telling of a top-secret operation managed directly from the Consul's Office to train and arm foreign terrorists, as well as nearly five billion Marks used to fund various terrorist organizations. The investigation has revealed half a dozen internment camps in which nearly three thousand Socialists, Nihilists, and others deemed "enemies of the state" have been imprisoned for nearly a year, their disappearance blamed on various criminal syndicates and opposition political parties.

The magnitude of these operations, and the extent to which they were kept secret, have shaken both the government and the people. Already, members of the Senate are calling for the Consul and other members of his administration to be put on trial. Senator Hill, handling various situations around the world, has not commented directly on a possible trial for the Consul, although his spokesperson said the Senator would follow legal and consitutional precedent in the matter.
