All was quiet on the streets of Darkmentia. And then, blaring from the public loudspeakers came the voice of the ultimate dictator of the nation, the Controller.

"People of Darkmentia!!! The hour is upon us! The hour of war! It is time to put our nuclear arms and trained army and assassins to use!! In our last war, we devastated and CONQUERED the formerly free land of the Redheadz. This time...it is the Free Land of ACUSHINET which is our target!!! Too long has this nation offended our sensibilities with it's "Peace and Freedom and Freedom and Peace" nonsense!! Now, they will be silenced FOREVER!!! DEATH TO ACUSHINET!!! LONG LIVE DARKMENTIA!!! LONG LIVE EVILITY!!!"

Cheers emanated from the crowd. They had long ago learned to be patriotic.

Mintar condemns these actions and unless Darkmentia can provide a valid reason for this attack.

If Darkmentia is unable to do so, we may be forced to intercede militarily.

RE: DECLARATION OF WAR, FROM DARKMENTIA

Acushinet cannot understand why The Empire of Darkmentia would oppose Acushinet's long standing policy of peace and freedom. Who does not want peace? Why, we demand that you give us the right to be free to be peaceful! All we want is to be peacefully free. However, as Acushinet has no army, we cannot engage you in battle. We will not surrender ourselves however, merely protest your violent and unreasonable actions against us. Acushinet must be free. Please reconsider in the interests of peace and freedom.

Long live, peace, and prosper! Such are the values of West Scotland. Peace and Freedom! Freedom and Peace!

The citizens of Acushinet's bordering cities surrender themselves to the Darkmentian army. A few protest, and are shot dead.

Planes bomb the nation's capitol, and the people hide in their shelters.
The President is killed in a bombing on the Capitol Building, and the Vice President takes his place.

The government recieves a telegram from a nation known as the Dictatorship of Pink Floydians:
Did you see the frightened ones?
Did you see the falling bombs?
Did you ever wonder why we had to run for shelter
when the promise of a brave new world unfurled
beneath the clear blue sky.

The Vice President shakes his head and realises there is nothing he can do to save Acushinet without outside help, but their allies in the Allied Nations of Darien had not yet responded. He had pleaded the President over and over again to arm Acushinet, but it had never happened. It was against their principles, their way of life. And the Vice President knew it.

He listenened silently to the sound of the bombs dropping and the television reporting another city taken.

That was heard all over the Dundaine Main Military Base

All that was known by the public was that 10,000,000 Plus soldiers and thousands of tanks and fighters were being deployed.

What they didnt know is that Darkmentia was the place where these men would fight some dieing and the rest triumphing over this pittiful nation.

The new robotic soldiers would be put into play now and so would the new Mechs.
Never before used in a War situation.

Dictator: Dundaine is usually a peaceful nation. many years have passed without us being involved in a war. But this attack on a country without proper cause has pushed our government to call for war. We would be grateful if all avalable men procede to enlist. As for the Darkmentian scum, this is your last chance or robotic and space deployed forces will be landing on your boarders within the hour and the rest of our forces tommarow morning. Quit now or be destroyed. The firing of WMD's will not be tolerated. It will just make more truble for you.

I'm going to offer a piece of advice: make sure of what tech level the rp is going to be at before you start a war. It will save a lot of trouble later on. Technically the choice is up to Darkmentia and Acushinet since they seem to be the major players in this RP.

OOC: He attacked with fighters, bombs, and an army, and has nukes. I assume he's modern.

We would just like to note three things:

1. We have good cause for a war with Acushinet. You are sickened by our methods, Dundaine, yes?? Well, we are sickened by Acushinet. Too long have they bothered us and plagued us with their nonsensical rants of "Peace and Freedom". Read their profile! Read our profile! We hate them! And we can stand them no longer! We have a right to wage war! We are not of the UN any longer and so are under !NO! regulations stating why we can and cannot hate somebody.

2. We are NOT going to use WMDs, we are merely considering using them. Yes, we posess the, but see part 3 for our opinion on that. We would not use WMDs now, not with our army IN the enemy nation! What kind of fools do you take us for????

3. You want to declare war on us simply because we possess WMDs?! As stated above, we plan not on using them. Hell, with your mechs and robots and such, you might as well bomb yourself for having WMDs. We may hate Acushinet because of their nauseating peace and freedom dance, but at least they are not hippocrites.

Now, on with the war:

The General reported to the Controller over the radio link.

"Your Excellency, the attack is moving ahead of schedule! They are practically surrendering!!"

The Controller smiled and replied calmly. "Save the President for me. I want to kill that annoying bastard myself."

"He is already dead," responded the General. "He was reported dead by the Acushinet government from a bombing raid."

"Damn!!" The Controller nearly ordered the General dead, but he needed him. "No more bombing of the capitol!! I want to destroy their government myself! Wring the life out of them with my bare hands!! Annoying bastards....continue the assault!"

"Yes, sir!" the General responded. The radio link was severed.

The Controller smiled. "Hopefully we will not have to waste you..." he murmured softly to the missile silo control panel "...they are not worth it."

The CKZ can not stand back and watch this evil. The CKZ will help Acushinet. The Christian Kingdom of Zarathoft declares war on Darkmentia. Our forces are deploying as we speak. Your act of evil will not go unpunished. Acushinet, tell us were to place our forces in defence of your nation, and will we defend. If you do not want us defending, we will launch an invasion of Darkmentia. The Peace and Freedom of Acushinet will remain that way as long as the CKZ still as a soldier alive.

I command you to step down or I will become involved. I have more than 50 allies that are 3 months to a year old. I urge you to back down or you will be waged war on like you have never seen in your lifetime. I warn you again to back down or else. This is a threat and I do nto give empty threats. I will destroy your government, destroy your cities, take a large piece of territory for my own personal use, THEN give some 75% of your nations lands to Acushinet.

Fellow nations, this conflict is between Acushinet and myself. I have the right to a war, have I not??? And besides, nuking me because I have nukes??? What kind of deadly hippocrite are you???

As for giving Acushinet weapons, I doubt they will use them....

The assault continues on Acushinet. Meanwhile, the Darkmentian Defense Force is put on RED ALERT and warned about POSSIBLE assaults from mulitple nations. Who these nations are and why they think they need to intercede is unknown, but General Adam Taylor of the DDF knows that he will fight to the death to defend Darkementia, IF the need arises, and so will the rest of the country.

The General of the Darkmentian army continues his assault on Acushinet. Four cities have been taken, their citizens surrendering peacefully. "Hopefully, if this trend continues, there won't be a need to kill all the buggers," says the General to his second-in-command. "Prepare to move the troops further inland,"

OOC: It seems to me that most of the nations here are using modern tech so that's the assumption i'm going with.

While there is a clear cause to go to war with the nation of Darkmentia for their clear breach of international law, I urge you to try diplomacy first. While our nation does not eschew warfare we do not use it in every situation. Therefor, I request that all nations stand down their forces while we try and deal with this madman in a more peaceful way.

That being said, Darkmentia I give you 48 hours (about 12 or so RL) to stop your invasion and retreat your forces to your original border with Acushinet. Whatever excuse you make up, invading a nation for no cause is a breach of international law. If you do not comply with this demand I will be forced to commit GH forces to your country to make you comply.

Dictator: though we would also attack this person if in this situation, we declare offical war on darkmentia because there time for war is mis placed. The Mechs and Robotic soldiers have landed and 500,000 soldiers also. our invasion will begin within the hour

MESSAGE FROM THE GOVERNMENT OF ACUSHINET TO ALL NATIONS INVOLVED IN THE DARKMENTIA-ACUSHINET WAR:

Fellow nations, we appreciate your support. However, although your generous donatiosn of money are being used to help the wounded and suffering, we cannot jeapordise the peace and freedom of our land by using your weapons. We cannot accept defense of our nation by the CKZ as to be defended by a throughly Christian country with it's defininitions of good and evil would undermine our own laws and make ourselves appear biased in the face of our people.

After multiple bombings and attacks by Darkmentia troops and planes, we have realised the only way to maintain the peace and freedom of the peacefully free Acushinet to is to peacefully surrender freely to the Empire of Darkmentia. We have put this to a vote and the peaceful and free people of the Free Land of Acushinet have decided to surrender our nation to Darkmentia in order to end the war.

We hope we shall establish a new and equal government with the Darkmentians, and that our way of life will be maintained as much as possible.

We peacfully surrender freely to the Empire of Darkmentia. Thus ends this terrible anti-peace and freedom war.

Message from the Controller of Darkmentia: "We would like to note that as Darkmentia is not a part of the UN, we are not REALLY under the juristition of international law and - WHAT?? They...? Really...well then. I thought they might, but I had decided they'd resist until the bitter end, well, well, well." The Controller smiled after hearing the message from the frontlines.

MESSAGE TO ACUSHINET:

We accept your surrender and we cease our attack. We will work out the exact details of your surrender and our occupation of your nation over telegram, hmm?

Cancel all operations, I repeat, CANCEL ALL OPERATIONS. The nation being attack does not wish to seek are help. All military operations being performed by the CKZ fall back to our borders.

In case you haven't noticed, we have withdrawn our forces because...we won. Short war, wasn't it?? Knew they'd crack, being so peaceful and all. We would like to inform all nations that Darkmentia's military is now safe home and it's nukes have gone from STAND BY to DORMANT. We won. They surrendered. We're hammering out the occupation details right now.
(OOC: Acushinet is not offline, you dolt, it surrendered! Now, I suggest we all leave as that is what me and Acushinet are doing, as we hammer out this "treaty". Short war, eh? That's what happens when you play with the peaceful ones.)

The Darkmentia Empire (Now consisting of Darkmentia, Redheadz, and Acushinet) requests all militaries to stand down and go home as the current situation is being resolved. We apoligise for the confusion caused by the governor of Acushinet posting an obviously Darkmentian point of view from Acushinet.
(OOC: They gave us their password and we logged in for the first time, went to this forum, and forgot to log in as Darkmentia again before we posted. Acushinet and I are now jointly running that nation under Darkmentian rule.)
