OOC: Well, this is the conclusion of the imperial expansion thread, which was cut short after Veredian ships attacked a Coreworlds colony (well, and several others) http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=135610 anyways, Corpsac has now declared war on Veredia

*Veredian Parliament*

Prime Minister Lorien was cursing himself for not having 'dealt' with his father, the king, sooner. Though the position of King was nothing more than tradition, the kings were always smart, wise, and many listened to them.

Which was what many of the PM's imperial party members were doing.

"We must surrender to Corpsac, I have been against these imperial policies, citing that they will bring about our destruction, and they are! You! I can no longer call you my son, and from this day forth, you are no longer a member of House Lorien, and are not permitted to bear the Lorien name! Parliament, you must seek emergency powers, remove this madman of a Prime Minister, and end this conflict before it can begin!" the King's words were met with a resounding cheer, all but the imperial hardliners who absolutely loyal to the Prime Minister were calling for the Prime Minister's resignation.

The room finally grew silent as all eyes turned to the Prime Minister, he flicked a switch on his desk's comm. unit and spoke into it, "It is time".

Instantly the doors burst open as the newly formed Veredian Imperial guard forces rushed in. Those that had spoken out against the Prime Minister were killed, while the king was put onto his knees in front of the camera that was used whenever public announcements were made.

The Prime Minister got up calmly, and walked over to where the king was on his knees, the camera was activated, and every vidscreen in Veredia was switched to transmit this event.

"People of Veredia, the Dark Empire of Corpsac has declared war upon us, apparently they feel imperialism is not the way, yet they themselves forged their own empire through imperialism. They underestimate us, they remember the weak and pathetic Veredia which fought in their civil war. Well that war was years ago, and we are strong. Through my efforts, we build an armada of warships, and built several colonies. They will soon learn the meaning of what war with Veredia is. Yet the king, and many of the dukes and premiers have spoken against this. They shall learn of their folly with their blood, the King has decreed that I may no longer bear the name of Lorien, and so I will not-" the Prime Minister drew a small sidearm, and shot the king in the head.

"- I shall instead take a name worthy of my position, I am now king, King Vered! As of right now, all district governments are suspended of all powers, and I am declaring a state of martial law. The House of Lorien has proved itself weak and unfit to rule, and so it shall be destroyed. The Democracy that has so weakend this state is no more, we of the noble houses shall rule once more, and once more shall Veredia see the greatness it deserves!"

*Loria, ancestral home of House Lorien*

The Loria palace, the greatest in all of Veredia, shone like a beacon amidst the dark nightime mountainside. The fourty-ninth Royal Dragoons regiment rolled forth towards it, where a battalion of Lorien Palace Guard awaited, maintaining their ceremonial defense of the royal family.

The commander of the Royal Dragoons sighed, he was betraying the Royal family, but through his betrayal, he would be elevated to Baron, and have his own house, and the fifteen year old granddaughter of the king would survive.

Colonel Moderan nodded to his XO, who gave the attack order. Lead by the first battalion under the command of Major Kevin Donegal, the regiment poured out of the surrounding woods, through the efforts of Colonel Moderan, the perimeter sensors and defenses were offline, for 'maintenance', and so the Dragoons were supposed to be an outer perimeter defense, and early warning system, they would be House Lorien's downfall.

The tanks poured out first, firing off their rail cannons which quickly tore apart the heavily armoured turrets and palace guard tanks. Fighters soared inwards, unleashing a barrage of missiles, followed by mass driver fire which ripped through light vehicles, and Pulse Guns which targeted and destroyed AA turrets.

The remaining AA turrets filled the sky with fire, downing a dozen of the fighters before succumbing to the onslaught. The Palace guard infantry rushed out of their burning barracks' and tried to fight back, but to no avail. VTOLs came in and circled the hapless foot soldiers, as they poured fire into the ground pounders with impunity.

The Dragoons' infantry rushed into the palace, capturing or killing all those inside, and drawing out the legal heir to the throne now that Vered was disowned. Along with the legal heir was the fifteen year old granddaughter of the dead king, named Alyssa.

As the battalion commanders and Colonel Monderan walked towards the surviving royal family members, the heir's eyes were filled with burning hatred. Monderan looked him in the eyes, and tears came to them, he mouted 'I had to' just in time as Major Donegal brought his rifle to his shoulder and killed the heir.

The Major then laid a mobile holo-projector on the ground and activated it. The distorted face of King Vered appeared, "Congratulations Colonel, you have done as you were told. Major Donegal, you shall have what you were promised, you are now ruler of Loria, and from here on in are to be known as Baron Donegal, and all forces of the district are at your command, you have served the empire well, and will no doubt continue to do so".

The holo-projector turned off and Colonel Monderan stood confounded for several seconds before speaking, "What in god's name? I'm supposed to be the-" his words were cut short as Major, now Baron, Donegal put a mass driver round into Alyssa's skull.

Monderan stood dumbfounded for a second before looking to Donegal, as if asking for an explanation, "Colonel, your loyalty would have come at the expense of leaving Alyssa. Which is simply to high a price". Within an instant, a mass driver round ripped through the colonel's head.

The other battalion commanders had been with Donegal, and knew what would happen, and they looked to Donegal for new orders. "Clean up this mess, restore the palace, and begin securing the district. Execute anyone who resists."

*Tasin, ancestral home of House Tasini*

Duke Tasini held the report in his hand, the king was dead, Corpsac had declared war, and the democratic governments were being overthrown. Vered's takeover of Veredia was near perfect, but he neglected to position enough troops in Tasin, and the neighbouring districts. Already, troops loyal to the true Veredia and to House Tasini were clearing out imperial forces from Tasin and the neighbouring districts. It would not be long before the districts were clear, and Duke Tasini was determined to ensure the safety of them, from both Corpsac and Vered. He had sent messages to fleet commanders whom he could trust, and they were mustering to move to the colony Baffin, and take control in the name of House Tasini. Cameras had been set up, and the duke was about to finish his work.

The cameras activated, and as with Vered's transmission, this also broadcasted to all the vidscreens of the Dominion, "People of Veredia, a dark day has befallen us, the royal family is dead, and the so called King Vered has declared martial law. Corpsac fleets are preparing to engage us, and small scale civil war has erupted. I will not stand for this, but I do not wish to further the bloodshed, so, after meeting with the dukes of the neighbouring districts, as the parliaments have been massacred, we have decided that we are to secede from the Dominion, and I am now King Tasini of the Tasin Protectorate. We do not wish war with Veredia itself, nor do we wish war with Corpsac, and so we are neutral, but any attacks on our holdings will be met with lethal force.

*Dragonhold, ancestral home of House Drakon*

Duke Drakon had received the transmission from Duke, now King Tasini, and he had plans similiar to that. Drakon was sitting in a meeting with the dukes of the nearby districts, and military leaders, the Imperials had been killed or driven out, and now only those who would join with House Drakon were there.

"Gentlmen, we have a serious issue on our hands. I propose, like House Tasini, that we secede, do we agree?" he asked, he didn't need to go into details, each of them had read over the hastily made plans. They all nodded in agreement.

Drakon forces seized control of two civilian shipyards, and ground forces secured their borders while it was announced that they seceded and formed the Dragonstone Confederation. A number of ships broke off the VSN and pledged allegiance, and took up positions at the shipyards.

*VSN First Fleet*

The fleet, originally intended to reinforce the expeditionary fleet, had just received news from home, along with new orders. The fleet diverted from its course, and due to its proximity to Corpsac space, found a small, lightly defended colony with which to start a hit and run assault on Corpsac. Several of the ships broke off however, under orders to locate and destroy as much Corpsac shipping as possible.

The fleet soon arrived at its target in Corpsac space, and emerged into real space, guns blazing.

OOC: if u can TG with a small list of bordering Colonies and surpply bases etc nothing hvy just so i can do my attack better :twisted: me tink the Unspeakerbles project might have to used :twisted:

The small colony was sitting quitetly not heavyly defended being an piradise world at the edge of the Empires space. as soon as the Veredia ships entered the System Alarm went off the orbital defence plantforms ativated tracking targets and locking on. there were no ships here the colony would be slurtered but the millta and the Colony Marines would still fight tho few in number.

Border between Veredia space and The Dark Empire

a Small Veredia Outpost was the target Admiral Tallon was sitting at his desk when the order came to attack.
"sir orders in attack this lightly defended outpost and capture it" sead the second in command
"vary well tell the fleet, we move out" he replyed

the fleet entered hyperspace and about 3 hours later exited at the outposts as soon as they exited and were inrange they opened fire on any ships and other defences.

more attacks like this followed along the borders between the Veredia and the empire, Colonies, outposts trader post etc all targets.

she was unhappy she was never on good terms with the Veredia but this was to far, the king was a good person but now he was dead and it was her fault. never the less war would have to come and if allies were called in so be it.

OOC: Something I forgot to mention in my TG, there are asteroid mining bases as well, not much in the way of defense, usually just fighters and some light gun turrets. And theres always civilian trading posts as well.

IC:

House Drakon had managed to wrestle away seventeen ships from the VSN, and now they were moving towards the newly established colony of New Dragonstone. The ships arrived at their destination and dropped out of hyperspace. Immediately they transmitted a message to the guarding ships, a destroyer, and four frigates, informing them of the situation in Veredia. The task force of five guard ships were also told that New Dragonstone was being claimed by House Drakon, and rather than get themselves in a pointless fight, jumped into hyperspace to link up with the main VSN fleet to fight off Corpsac.

The fleet approached the Corpsac colony, the defense platforms opened fire with their small armaments, but to little avail. Rail cannons, pulse cannons, particle beams, ASMs and GPMs, and a could of fighters tore into the platforms. Once that threat had been cleared, and after losing a frigate to a torpedo barrage, the fleet took target such as mines, starports, airfields, militia bases, economic and government centers and opened fire, relentlessly pouring fire into the targets to ensure their destruction.

The Council chambers

"Word just in from the colony....its lost just under 20 mins ago the Lord surrendered to the Veredia fleet after an orbtial bombing campaign" sead a Milltary Tac officer
"there you have it the Veredia are scard to fight honurble so we will fight with there rules...leave nothing alive KILL THEM ALL" the empiress roared. with that the whole room erupted with a Roar cheers and chants, the true meaning of war was now goin to happen and the true meaning of the Dark Empire shall be learnt.

Anarundak colony

a small war fleet moved towards the Colony in hyperspace only 4 ships exited, Ravanos Heavy Crusers. they opened fire with all there weapons at the Light defending ships riping most of them apart with the Plasma Casters. as soon as the Defence ships were delt with the Ravanos fired 4 torpedos at the colony with a small attack of missiles and other guns. as soon as they did the left, the strangest attack the empire has ever done but it was known as soon as the torpedos hit the surface. an Unspeakerble R.E.D 12 (read my store front in the new mall) a planet killer, cleaning of the planet had started. but by the time the Veredia found out it would have spread hopefully if they evac the planet.

the Shin Zu frigate opened fire with there ion cannons hitting the 2 of the defence ships cutting into there armor. the fighters swarmed at the Outpost. the mansons locked onto the outpost and let out a volly of Heavy plasma bolts towards the Outpost slaming into the armor (and shields if u have dem???) the battle would be short with this defences. simular attacks happened to outposts 02 and 05. along the border 100s of ships clashed with Veredia ships, this if the plan worked would be short war.

asteroid mining bases

A small Fleet exited just outside the Asteroid belt, a massive DESC ship exited with 2 Shi Zu Frigates 1 Manson and 10 She'Klan Corvettes. the massive ship was sitting and waiting then the Drop bays opened up and over 315 fighter class ships swarmed out. targets were anything Veredia. the Crow was Jamming all Comms in or out of the Area.

the fighters were moveing in fast setting up ambushes in the asteroid belt and moveing in to bring in the pray.
the well praticed and well done move the Mayne Gangbang was being set up.

OOC: the mayne gangbang is were in an asteroid belt 7 fighter hide behind the rocks evadeing Scanners and such (well to a degree) then as the pray(s) come in the fighter pop up and open fire on the pray(s) until its destroyed, to evade even more detection the fighter lower all energy edmissions (eg turning things off)
the ship (the big one) is a the Crow Class SuperCarrier cheak my store for details.

OOC: Corpsac, you should change the length of the Crow, if its supposed to hold five corvettes, and all those small craft, it should be considerably longer than just 2700 meters. Also, just a little personal opinion here, your empress is a b*tch lol, we bombard military installations, mines, and suspected military factories (all things your supposed to blow up in a war lol) and you want to slaughter us all...geez...how can your nation put up with her lol.

King Vered paced in his newly completed palace, things we going bad, very bad. Corpsac had just annihalated an entie colony, an outpost was destroyed, and corpsac vessels were hitting Veredian positions with virtual impunity all over Veredian territory. That and the hive had disabled the expeditionary fleet.

Vered was thankful he had recalled most of the fleet to Veredia, but of course with the two new splinter nations, quite a few ships had been drawn off, along with several other vessels seemingly disappearing into nowhere.

The assembled fleet, roughly a hundred ships strong, now waited at the Veredian Space Navy shipyards, there new vessels were under construction and there they hoped to be able to hold off the corpsac fleet, or at the very least, decimate it.

The Veredian ground forces had already abandoned their open miliary bases, opting for hidden areas, mountainous regions, and underground complexes. New armouries were being established, and the last of the troopships were away, determined to go far from Veredian space, and conquer new, faraway systems, in order to build a new Veredia should this one fall. Vered himself was already preparing to depart with the translocation fleet, but he needed to wait until the last minute to ensure that the nation did not break down and surrender.

*Asteroid Mining Bases*

"Attention Corpsac fleet, this is Governor Ferran, the Imperial military commander has been arrested, and we surrender. Please, do not hurt us, most of us are civilians, and are simple miners, nothing more, our defenses are just enough to fight off pirates, we have nothing of value!" the frightened governnor transmitted, praying that Corpsac would spare them.

Dear Empress, we have received reports of your assault on the Anarundak colony. We have received reports of a new disease starting to appear on the planet, claiming a number of civilians already. Our experts predict that the colony will soon be totally annihalated. Please, you cannot continue this massacre. You are needlessly slaughtering an entire colony, but it is with Vered that your was is with, and if you desire assistance, we will provide it. But please, do not continue your horrific assaults on civilians, we thought you above senseless genocide, please do not prove us wrong.

OOC: Forgot this part, hope you don't mind me claiming a supply convoy...

IC:

The lightly defended convoy made its way towards the Corpsac colony, it recently received reports of an assault on one of the outer colonies, but that was several systems away, and there were stronger defenses here, they didn't think the Veredians would attack.

Then seemingly out of nowhere, a half a dozen jump points opened up. A pair of Destrier cruisers emerged, along with four frigates and a flight of corvettes. The Destriers fired first, each taking a lifeless corvette for a target, the small escort vessels were pounded into oblivion within seconds. The frigates ganged up two to a corvette, and the other half of the escort for went down.

The corvettes ganged up on the unarmed cargo vessels, punching through their armour and ripping them to pieces with pulse cannons, mass drivers, and ASMs. The cruisers each took their own target, blasting away with their full armament, the ships didn't stand a chance. The frigates quickly went to work, handling the other vessels, two of which were the armed variants of the freighters.

With their targets destroyed, the task force jumped back into hypersace before the system's guard forces could respond.

*Veredian First Fleet*

The Veredian First Fleet, after crippling the Corpsac colony's wartime capabilities, jumped into hyperspace. There, they split into smaller groups, intent on hunting down, and destroying as many Corpsac transports and freighters as possible. There goal was to simply disrupt trade and supply lines, with a secondary objective of drawing off some of the Corpsac ships attacking Veredia.

Is this an open RP? I would really like to take part in this if you dont object. :D

IC> a small group of Corpsac freighters became under attack by a group of vessels from the Veredian first fleet. Less than a minute after the attack began, a group of 20 Hunter Destroyers exited less than 1/4 of a mile away. They opened fire on the Veredian ships with accurate strikes from their forward nova cannons and then made a broadside attack. The Veredian ships were taken out very quickly. The destroyers quckly set off to the next convoy under attack by Veredia and caused the same result. The remainder of the Gronde Hunter fleet arrived with 10 Empire Class Lance Battleships and 6 Behemoth Class Carriers. They set out to safegaurd the Corpsac supply lines. A large convoy of Gronde cargo and transport ships were sent off to the Corpsac battle zones. The convoy was escorted by a group of missil and torpedo frigates.

OOC: Uh...Gronde...sorry about this...but your godmodding here. A nation of your size can't have 20 destroyers, 12 battleships and six carriers. Also, for good RPing, you should generally show some of your government's thoughts as to the current situation, then contact whichever side you wish to assist and offer your assistance. So, some things you should do are, since your still tiny right now, have your fleet consist of only about one warship, as an interstellar warship is rather expensive, you could have say one or two smaller armed merchant ships also (I used to use those before I built an actual fleet over the course of several IC years). You should also read the stickies posted in these forums. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

"Sir, just before we jumped out we detected another vessel, after running it through our database, we believe it is a Federal Union vessel which watched the battle" the tactical officer reported.

"Federal Union? We've never really had any relations with them, other than perhaps some civilian trade...well, we're in hyperspace already, order the Athabaskan to drop out and open communications, I don't know why, but there presence in Corpsac space is bothering me"

The VSS Athabaskan, a Cavalier class assault frigate, dropped out of hyperspace, and made its way to the TFU vessel, wary of Corpsac warships in system, and diverting much of its power to recharging the hyperspace engines.

"Attention Federal Union, this is Captain Garand of the VSS Athabaskan, we detected your vessel monitoring the battle, and are curious to your intentions here"

"TAS Solaris, we thank for your offer, and it would be welcomed, however we must leave this system, Corpsac warships are enroute, our engines are charged, but we're defenseless so we're jumping right now, we'll transmit co-ordinates for our rally point via tightbeam transmission" the Captain of the Athabaskan replied.

The frigate transmitted the coordinates for the first fleet rally point, and the ship, with all its power shunted to its drive systems, made the jump into hyperspace.

The TAS Solairs resiced the trasmitted cordantes they sent a quantem encypted copy to space command that the 4th fleet.

The TAS solaris then warped out to the corndnace the 4th fleet behind it .

*First Fleet Rendezvous point*

The recently completed battlecruiser, the VSS Empress of Loria had just dropped out of hyperspace with four bulk freighters converted to carriers. The bulk freighters' extensive cargo bays were simply turned into hangars and storage areas for munitions, fuel, spare parts, and other necessary equipment. The fronts of the cargo bays simply had doors fitted onto them, and then they were ready to serve. Simple, and cheap conversions, but relatively weak, with less fighters, than a true military carrier.

TheEmpress had arrived to take command of the first fleet, and Admiral (also Duke) Tyrell was now in command, and given the power to discuss the alliance with the Federal Union.

The fleet of just over thirty Federal Union ships was arriving at the rendezvous point and the Duke was preparing to greet them, and show their commander his proposal for an assault on a Corpsac naval base. Although the fleet had suffered some damage from when they split up to harass Corpsac shipping (which they had decided was not the best of ideas, as Corpsac had taken to deploying more escort ships). Two frigates and several corvettes had been lost, while claiming only a handful of transports and one or two escorting corvettes.

But now with the TFU fleet, Tyrell felt they had the firepower to confront a Corpsac fleet head on.

Greetings commander, I am Duke Tyrell, commander of the Empress of Loria, the newest battlecruiser in the Veredian Space Navy. I have been going over information gained from the Corpsac civil war, and have chosen a Mayne Naval Base as a target for a joint assault by our forces. We have more than enough ships to do it successfully and with as little casualties as possible, and hopefully they will have sent out ships to escort supply convoys, although we cannot rely on that. What do you think?

Sorry, i should have explained a little: my region, as well as a few other small nations are funneling money into my war machine(i keep reminding to post that in the Incedents forum). Still not quite enough, but i also run a command ecomomy, so my people build what i tell them to. :wink: Ok, so maybe this: 8 small destroyers, 4 battleships, and 2 carriers? If thats ok, then I will still be attempting the same thing as i was before. If not, then just pelt me with rocks and ill fix it. Thanks for your patience. :D

The recently completed battlecruiser, the VSS Empress of Loria had just dropped out of hyperspace with four bulk freighters converted to carriers. The bulk freighters' extensive cargo bays were simply turned into hangars and storage areas for munitions, fuel, spare parts, and other necessary equipment. The fronts of the cargo bays simply had doors fitted onto them, and then they were ready to serve. Simple, and cheap conversions, but relatively weak, with less fighters, than a true military carrier.

TheEmpress had arrived to take command of the first fleet, and Admiral (also Duke) Tyrell was now in command, and given the power to discuss the alliance with the Federal Union.

The fleet of just over thirty Federal Union ships was arriving at the rendezvous point and the Duke was preparing to greet them, and show their commander his proposal for an assault on a Corpsac naval base. Although the fleet had suffered some damage from when they split up to harass Corpsac shipping (which they had decided was not the best of ideas, as Corpsac had taken to deploying more escort ships). Two frigates and several corvettes had been lost, while claiming only a handful of transports and one or two escorting corvettes.

But now with the TFU fleet, Tyrell felt they had the firepower to confront a Corpsac fleet head on.

OOC: Sorry Gronde, but thats still overkill, your going to have to wait until you get bigger to have a big fleet. For the time being you'll have to drop the idea of battleships and carriers completely. For you, since you have extra funding from the others in you region (although they are very small and have relatively no funding for their military), I would say a single destroyer at the most, maybe one or two small corvettes as well. Personally, I would opt for a frigate and three or four corvettes, although you can always forget true warships completely and go for half a dozen or eight armed merchant ships. Don't worry, soon enough you'll get to make use of large war fleets, but for the time being you could always assist on land, since you would have larger ground forces.

IC> Enjir sat at his command point. He was quite descusted with the whole thing. Ten years at the space academy and 2 years of tactical training, and the best the forges of Gronde could give him was this ship. It was the flagship of this fleet, and the largest ship. That wasnt saying much. It was a small gunship. Its biggest gun was a top mounted laser cannon battery. It had three smaller batteries as well, mainly for fighters. The fleet consisted of 14 tac. fighters, designed to be 'nearly' self sufficiant, a fuel tanker, and a ship about the size of a merchant ship thats only purpose was to serve as a warp beacon.

They came out of their warp jump with their target in sight. It was a small Veredian supply convoy headed out to god knows where, there seemed to be more war zones than than areas of peace these days. The fighters split into two units.

"Alpha leader, this is Gold leader, do you copy?"

Both groups sped forward and opened fire with their torpedos that the fighters had been designed to carry. The gunship opened fire with its main weapon. The fighters zipped past the convoy peppering the cargo ships with laser fire. Confident that they had caused enough damage, Enjir ordered the jump, and the fleet left as quickly as it came.

ic> Back in the capital of Gronde, in a sector of space known only as the Land of Chill, a celebration was being held. They knew nothing about the attack on the Veredian convoy. They were celebrating because the first battalian of space marines was ready. Exactly two thousand in all. They stood proud in their power armour, pleased that they could fight "For the Greater Good." Ironically, as they boarded their transports, on the other side of the city, a thousand people lived on the streets, some never even left the factories that they were forced to work in to support this war. None of them ever complained, even they believed that their suffering was "for the greater good."

A peasent worker continues down the hall of the large castle, carrying a message of upmost importance to the Dacilandic Emperor King Sultan Ruler.

Knocking on the door nervously, the peasent is in fear of his life, hoping not to anger the Head of All. 'Enter' booms from behind the huge ivory doors, as they instantly open up, revealing a huge room, the Dacilandic Commander President King High One sits on a large ceiling-tall thrown.

The peasent walks towards the Great One, cautiously observed by the Dacilandic Guard, who are known for thier fanatic loyalty, and quick gun.

'Sire' the peasent manages to stutter, bowing as he continues to read, 'the Veredian/Corpsac conflict is escalating with the entry of several nations into the conflict', he stammers, 'and we cannot continue to sit around as this precious opportunity for territorial gain.'

The peasent continuing, 'this conflict could end up swallowing us as the early wars of Earth did to the nations of then Europe did'. The High One makes an unauble 'hmm' as the peasent continues 'at the very least, we need to deploy scouts to closely observe the situation for any harm to Dacilandia', the peasent breaths easier as he notices the message end soon, 'this conflict is a grand oppurtunity for us to expand the Dacilandic Republic, and at the same time remove those flawed nations loyal to democracy. Signed, highest general of military and 'welfare' for the peasents'.

The peasent turns around, about to leave, 'PEASENT' booms the Great One, 'what shall we do, oh peasent?' inquires the King Sultan Ruler, 'Sire.. w..w..we shou-' a quick round of air-splitting gunfire suddenly erupts in the room, and the peasent falls down from the extreme weight of lead. The head guard looks at the High one, 'oops.. i thought he was about to shoot you Sire.' The king only offers a laugh and grins, 'contact General Vladimirnov, relay to him not to dispatch any forces, tell him to send the Veredian Dominion my moral support in thier war against these Corpsac fools, and to monitor the situation closely'.

Admiral Tyrell was going over what little information Veredia had on Mayne military bases, most of it gleaned from the houses Sha'Tal and Sha'La. He had chosen a target, Lexington Base, and had a basic idea of its defenses. Before attacking head on however, he wanted the opinion of the TFU commander.

ic> The master of Gronde looked on as over 100 thousand citizens of the Dominion of the Dark Kabal, one of Gronde's most trusted regional allies, boarded a group of transport ships. The Dark Kabal was being rewarded for their loyalties to their alliance by being granted control of a small agro-world located 2 planets away from their star. The planet was under the protection of the 2nd and 3rd space marine platoons. The Dark Kabal would provide their own PDF of 10,000 men, most of them reservists who will also work the agriculture. Gronde would have occupied the planet anyways, but they didnt have enough people to do so and still support a healthy military. In retirn, the Dark Kabal would give up 20% of that planet's yearly harvests to Gronde.

After observing that, the master of Gronde entered his council room. Waiting for him were the heads of various corporations, as well as a half a dozen pirate captians. He had sent for them.
"Greatings gentlemen," he said with a diplomatic tone, " you may be wondering why you are here." He waited until most of them nodded before continuing.
"I have a proposition for all of you, one i hope you cant refuse," he noticed the lack of enthusiasm in their, "Ok, i will get strait to the point. You use your mercant ships, ill arm them for you, and carry out pirate raid against Veredian and Federal Union cargo and freight ships. You may then retirn here give up 30% of your and i will offer you a safe place to dock and repair." Still, few looked very interested. "I would also be more than willing to toss in some 'healthy' government benifits." This got their attention. They began talking to eachother, making arrangements to team up.
"All you need to do to begin is register your ships with our archives," the master said. He pointed them to the computer terminals and he left as they began to do as he said. This had been a very productive day.

Meanwhile, deep in the space that made up the supply lines that Veredia used to reach the war front, Enjir's fleet exited their warp jump. He was in a better mood this time; he had been sent an additional gun ship, a cargo ship, an addition fuel ship, 3 small assult craft, and a Paranna class Corvette, the new flagship from the forges of Gronde. He had his sights on a slighly larger score this time. It was another convoy, larger than the first, and was probobly being escorted by a few armed ships. It was still within their league. Enjir had the convoy within short range scanner range. He sent a message to the convoys commander: "Surrender your ships and prepare to be boarded, or we will open fire on your ships." He turned to his crew.
"If they dont respond in 20 seconds, order the attack," he told his second in command.

Elsewhere near a planet in the same system as Gronde, the prime ambasitor sent a message to one of their allies from the region of Scavenblight...

The Dacilandic council on preperation and execution of war meets, with the topic of the current affairs involving Veredia and Corpsac.

'Generals' thunders King Sultan Ruler Commander Daci, 'we can no longer afford to lose time as these other nations ready thier forces and position them for combat' he booms as he refers to maps 'i want my forces of war positioned in neutral territory outside Veredian and Corpsac, with orders to be on defensive alert.' A faint smile can be seen from one of the Generals, expressing the relief he has as 'war' is mentioned.

'Prepare a message to the Veredian government, showing my complete support for their conflict with these pigs Corpsac, but we wont take military action unless attacked upon.'

'That is all gentlemen' High One Daci booms as he lights a cigar, 'lets get me some land.'

Mean wile the soyuz class vessals escorting the convoys moved up in to defncive postions there were also 2 cloaked defiant classes on the back. of the convoy .

Enjir recieved the response from the convoy commander. He had slightly under estimated the protection that the convoy had. No matter, he still had a plan. He opened the transmition.
"Convoy commander, I must say that I am most insulted! Pirates? Pirates?! We are no mere pirates my friend, you have vastly undere estimated us im afraid." Suddenly, a group of large vessels arrived. They appeered to be cruisers owned by private corporations. There were 10 bulk style cruisers and 16 armed mercant ships. With them, there were also 9 Gronde tac. fighters with them. Enjir looked back to the screen and pointed to the newly arrived vessels and smiled, his master's business deal was a sussess!
"Those are the pirates." Enjir closed the transmition and gave the order to fire. The corvette and the 2 gunships opened fire on the largest escort vessels. The pirate vessels did the same, the bulk cruisers revieled their large numbers of hidden weapons and laying down a withering hail of fire. The now 23 strong fighter squadron executed their manuvers, fireing their torpedos to even the feild against the larger enemy ships. The armed mercant ships also fired on the convoy. At the same time, the assult craft headed strait for the largest cargo ships. Their mission: to ram the cargo ships and board the vessels that way.

Meanwhile, the master of Gronde observed the event.
"See?" he told his war advisor, "you dont need the largest ships or the most people in your country to fight an effective war." He turned his attention back to the battle, eager to see the outcome.

At Scavenblight, the ambasitor of Gronde had begun the secret talks.

First fleet general Vladimirnov laughs toyingly as he observes the fireworks of the Gronde battle with the supposed pirates.

'High One' reports the general, 'there is a minor scuffle between multiple nations, permission to engage the criminals and loot them?' A loud silence, then a reply 'No. Let these fools kill themselves, we are at standby phase.' booms Sultan King Commander Ruler Daci, before cutting off comm.

The general orders two Hunter-Seeker class fighters to observe the battle closely.

In about 15 minutes all 19 ships jumpedi n to the battle area and began to fire all wepondry on the enmmy ships

OOC: Rat, feel free to. Uh, TFU, I think Gronde was attacking one of my convoys, since he said 'the supply lines that Veredia used to reach the war front'. Gronde, the sixteen armed merchant ships make sense, but they need time to be refitted, some basic training for their crews as to the waepons systems and naval warfare, so you may want to hold back on their use for a post or two. As for the bulk cruisers, unless the corporations are multinational corporations with extensive holdings, they wouldn't really have cruisers, frigates maybe, but not cruisers, and if they were immense multinational coporations, they wouldn't want to get involved with a tiny nation's war. Sorry man...however, I'll go along with the merchant ships.

Captain Hayes of the corvette Divinity looked out at the attacking enemy fleet, no less than sixteen armed merchant ships had just jumped in, combined with two dozen fighters, a gunship, a corvette, and some other random craft. Though the fleet could have been easily destroyed by one of the patrol fleets patrolling the supply lines, they weren't here. Only the two Lifeless II corvettes under Hayes' command were here, although there were seven escorting TFU ships as well. Hayes had never seen a TFU ship in action, and knew next to nothing about them, he could only hope they were good ships able to handle the enemy vessels.

*King Vered's command ship, Pride of Veredia*

King Vered stared out at the assembled armada tagged with protecting Veredia from Corpsac attack, roughly a hundred warships, not to mention ground based defenses, ground based fighter squadrons, and orbital platforms. The rest of the VSN was either patrolling supply lines, fending off Corpsac assaults, organizing counterattacks, or, in the case of the Veredian Expeditionary fleet, seeking out faraway, weak targets that they could seize, and move Vered to should Veredia fall. Then there was the first fleet, which even now was launching an asssault on a major Mayne base.

*First fleet*

The first fleet, with a flotilla of TFU warships, made their way to the Lexington naval base of House Mayne. They dropped out of hyperspace, and immediately launched a flight of Hydra missiles, large WMDs that exploded in the midst of the Corpsac defense fleet. Cannons opened fire in a blaze of glory as the space around the Corpsac base filled with radiant energy.

A flight of Corvettes emerged, and launched off half their ASM missiles coordinated at larger Corpsac destroyers and dreadnoughts, before concentrating the whole group's fire power on a single Tigerclaw class destroyer.

At Skavenblight, the ambassador of Gronde had begun the secret talks.
IC: With help from gronde the Horned Rat has dictated its minions reach its grasp into the stars. The ships at there disposal are only 15 armed merchant class ships but these ships have been "improved" with warpstone. This causes its weapons to be powerful and have more speed, but it is lethal to living things and causes weapons to malfunction on occasion (generally causes death)
Sniktch veiwed the ragged formation with pride for his nations ships. All of them were rusted with patch work plates riveted in place, but the fact that they had ships and were heading for conflict allowed him to look past the shoddy craftsman ship. Gronde's ships were already in the thick of it and Sniktch was pushing the warpstone-powered engines as hard as they could regardless of the danger. All of a sudden the ship to the ChitterBoil (Sniktch's ship) exploded in a green fireball from the engine collapsing. He could here the screams of that ships bridge crew, he felt sad, not for the loss of life though, but one of the ships were lost. He looked back at a screen and saw that only a few more minutes and they could unleash there warp lightning.

the Fleet was waiting for the Crow it was arriveing in a few minutes, Admiral shin'kil was sitting at her desk. the Wrath fleet was here already they were goin to attack a major Veredia Colony and it would be a grate blow to them.
he looked at the Holo Table viewing the 3-d projection of the ships, when a Hyperspace Opening forming with the Crow and its escorts came out of it. the ship was bigger then she was thinking it would be.
"mam message from the Crow, they say its time" the comm officer replyed
"vary well lets go" she ordered "all hand prepare for hyperspace jump"

the dilgar and wrath fleet and the Crow with escorts exited from hyperspace near a Major Veredia Colony as soon as the exited they opened fire and the fighter swarmed in.


Lexington Base

jsut befor the TFU flotilla exited warp a barage of Torpedo fire slaimed into the ships.
As the Veredia ships exited hyperspace they were met with a barage of fire, what was met with and equal return of fire. the defence plantfroms fired off there torpedos and missiles and barageing the Attackers with Plasma Bolts.

the defence fleet was taken by surprise in the first minute they lost a destroyer. the fleet turned towards the Veredia fleet and opened fier but lost a nova carrier in the WMD attack.
they returned fire with all they got fighters swarmed at the Veredia Forces attacking anything in sight. the She'Klan Corvettes were moveing fast attacking the Lifeless Mk2 corvettes. the Carriers and Dreadnoughts moved back the Masons opening fire with all they got.

OOC: Rat, feel free to. Uh, TFU, I think Gronde was attacking one of my convoys, since he said 'the supply lines that Veredia used to reach the war front'. Gronde, the sixteen armed merchant ships make sense, but they need time to be refitted, some basic training for their crews as to the waepons systems and naval warfare, so you may want to hold back on their use for a post or two. As for the bulk cruisers, unless the corporations are multinational corporations with extensive holdings, they wouldn't really have cruisers, frigates maybe, but not cruisers, and if they were immense multinational coporations, they wouldn't want to get involved with a tiny nation's war. Sorry man...however, I'll go along with the merchant ships.

ic> The firefight continued with the tac. fighters providing a large amount of firepower from their torpedo launchers. The gunships were taking advantage of their long range and strong gun.

Suddenly, 4 high permorfance Deathsting Fighters uncloaked just outside of the battle.
"It looks like we arrived late to the party, boys," said the squad commander, Xon. He was an experianced pilot as was the other three. The sped into battle. (Think Prottoss scouts from Starcraft) they opened fire with deadly ani-matter misiles and their photon blasters, taking advantage of the exposed engions on the TfU vessels.(im going by the pictures you'd posted) They showed great skill in dodging out of danger.

Meanwhile, the assult craft barraled into the larger cargo vessels, crashing through their hulls. About 40 space marines were transported in each one. As soon as they made impact the marines disembarked into the cargo ships, shooting anyone they saw. They began to make their way through the ships, going for key areas, such as cargo areas and the control rooms.

The warp beacon vessel began to activate its "stuff" and a warp jump was activated. Comming out were the 14 armed merchant ships, all looking like they were held together with tape. They immediatly began opening fire with with their stange green energy weapons.
"i thought there were 15," Enjir said, slightly confused. "O well, better than nothing"

2 other ships sheilds were reduced to 75 %

The ChitterBoil and the other 13 slap-n-paste ships arrived and saw a fire fight happening between the enemy(sorry unsure of whom is fighting) and gronde's fleet. One of the larger vessels was closer than the rest. On ChitterBoil's deck Sniktch was pointing tworads the large ship on a view screen "All ships fire quick-quick". The order was followed up by green lasers, unfortunately the typical skaven engineering caused 2 ships weapons to fizzle out while another exploded. Out of the 10 shots only 3 hit with possible effect(you can decide what happens).

The Fusion reactors on the four carrier groups begin to heat up as orders are received to deploy war forces to a new front.

the DESC Livingston was hit a few times but the armor was handleing it now that most of the Ships in the empire had Endor crystal coatings.

across the Lexington base fire fights were happening the Fortrass was still fireing away at anything that came near across almost all the DESC ships you could see PDS fire targeting torpedos missiles fighter even.

the battle was rageing not mainy ships were left in the defence fleet, only a handfull of corvettes a few destroyers battle cruser and frigates left.

the defence platforms were blasting away, still the defences could last a good few hours the station was still fighting.

ooc> Ok, the alliances appear to be TFU, Dicilandia, and Veredia against Corpsac, whoever his allies are, and i guess, me. (Nothing official yet) We are atacking a Veredian convoy, also escorted by TFU ships. This information sould suffice until someone who knows more about this tells you more details.

ic> Exiting a warp jump a small distance away from the beseiged Corpsac space fortress(Lexington base, right?) was a small group of vessels. The "fleet" consisted of 10 armed merchant ships, 3 corvettes (or frigates, whichever is the smaller one), and a pair of large, but rather clunky and poorly built armed cargo ships. All of these were leased from several companies and pirate organizations in exchange for a tract of undeveloped land on Gronde's homeworld. They were the only armed corperate ships available, the rest were unarmed as of yet. Along with them was a small gunship, a squad of 7 tac fighters, and several assult craft strapped on to larger cargo ships. This was the last that Gronde and her allies could spare at this time. The small fleet got into position and fired 1/2 of its stock of long range torpedos into the attacking ships. The assult craft were unlatched and sped towards the largest capital ships in range.

Meanwhile, somewhere deep in space, a lone 1-man shuttle sped through space at incredable speeds. Its destination was unknown.

Back in the capital of Gronde, Master Kalgar(all seeing maste of Gronde, finnaly came up with a name) was overseeing the construction of the plantetary defences being prepared. Every city of every nation on that planet was being armored up for war. Orbital strike cannons were installed everywhere. Orbital defensive platforms were being prepared and occupied with the 4th and 5th space marine platoons, (100 men each) the 1st fortress platoon, and the 2nd and 3rd armored companies. Fighter squadrons patrolled the system constantly and warp distruptors were instaled to keep the enemy from making jumps into the system. All of this was put into motion when Maste Kalgar's advanced spies brought the news that the Federal Union had declared open war uppon Gronde. The good news was that another 2 young nations arrived in the Land of Chill, providing their limited aid with the situation. (ooc> no, they are not multies, yay)

OOC: TFU stands for The Fedral Union. Corpsac, sorry about the inhibitors, I forgot about them when I was typing up that post. The TFU ships are, I know he had 34 ships originally, but called in more, he can better post what he has. I have around fifty ships, although only around thirty five are here.

Duke Tyrell watched as She'Klan corvettes tore through a flight of three Lifeless II corvettes, the Veredian ships put up a good fight, and launched their missiles before they were destroyed, but fell nevertheless.

"Tactical, status on the enemy ships!" Tyrell ordered, referring the group of ships coming under coordinated fire from the Veredian fleet.

"Breaking up now sir! The Hunter just went down! Jericho has been destroyed sir!" the tactical officer reported.

A volley of fire hit the battlecruiser, some of it missing to fly endless in space until it dissipated. The Pride of Loria responded with a full barrage on the dreadnought it, two frigates, and a destroyer had targeted. The ship also launched half a dozen WMDs, half at clusters of enemy fighters, half at their capital ships. Then the Veredian fighters met the Corpsac fighters, launching off a barrage of about two hundred missiles and a volley of pulse gun and mass driver fire, met equally by Corpsac missiles and plasma fire.

"Second force, jump in in three, and go for the fortress! One, two, three!" Duke Tyrell ordered as a light destroyer erupted in a fireball. The second force of Veredian and TFU warships entered the system and, while taking some fire, including an impressive barrage from the fortress which laid claim to a frigate, but the small task force managed to fire as they emerged. The Veredian ships launched a dozen WMDs at the enemy fortress followed by a barrage of more convential missiles and weapons fire.

(Plasma casters will overload your shields with more then one hit, due to the fact that its like a shotgun it fires about 12 Hvy Plasma Bolts per shot as this ship has 2 of them that 24 and it ROF is 6 shots a minuate)

the plasma caster turned and targeted TAS Excaluber and fired 24 stricks of high engergy Plasma bolts slamed into the shields followed by a massive missile and Torpedo salvo.

"reactor 3 offline and wont be back online for about a week, weapons are 98%, armor is at 91% minor systems at 69%" the computer was saying

OOC: ODF= Over Drive field designed to overload shields by bombbarding them with particals from space (space dust, wreaks) the particals incress in size and mass and become heveyer. they incress in speed atracted towards the shields.
the atraction is made by the Fields that coats all shields with a coat of Ions + and - and incressing there charge.

the commander was sitting there, the base was offline and would not be online for another 2 minutes after the EMP/ODF he didnt know how mainy ships were disabled or damaged from it. (hint hint) the commander was watching the battle when he noticed the TFU ships turning and opening fire on the Veredia ships, he smiled for once he belived that the TFU goverment had seen sence maby there was hope after all.

OOC: Uh, Corpsac, which attack are you referring to? You annihalated Anarundak, blew up an outpost, and the asteroid bases have surrendered. I'm not sure which events your referring to...but it doesn't overly matter now, any chance of winning or forcing a cease fire are gone now...

The Pride of Veredia, the Veredian Expeditionary fleet, a flotilla of troopships loaded with civilians and ground forces loyal to Vered, along with a group of ships drawn off from the armada defending Veredia entered hyperspace together. Commanded by Vered, they were heading to the more unknown reaches of space to find, and conquer, a less advanced world from which to build a new empire.

The defense armada had gathered considerably in strength, almost all of the supply convoys, defense ships, and patrol fleets had gathered, all that remained of the VSN not under the control of the two smaller kingdoms, or that had not gone with Vered were mustered. They were deliberating, deciding what they would do in the face of the impending onslaught by the Corpsac fleet and allies, the first fleet was soon to be totally destroyed, and had already been written off.

Meanwhile, on the ground, many provinces were declaring independence, or joining with houses Drakon and Tasini. Veredian, Tasini, and Drakon ground forces tried desperately to claim the renegade provinces, while the VSN fractured and split between the three factions.

Dear Empress, King Vered has fled, he departed with a fleet of ships into an unknown region of space, and the VSN has been gathered at Veredia. The fleet is split somewhat evenly between myself, House Drakon, and Baron Donegal, who is now serving as ruler for Veredia. I have proposed an alliance between our three kingdoms, and I am sure none of us wish for this war to continue. Please, hold out on your attacks, and allow us to make peace, we have both lost people to this war. I am sure you understand that neither myself, or House Drakon had anything to do with this war, and while Donegal was a supporter of Vered, his newfound power and influence is key to maintaining some semblence of unity in Veredia.

the Fleet was waiting for the Crow it was arriveing in a few minutes, Admiral shin'kil was sitting at her desk. the Wrath fleet was here already they were goin to attack a major Veredia Colony and it would be a grate blow to them.

the battle had turned the tide when TFU attack veredia, the base has damaged and it was lucky that TFU did change.

Admiral Ulrik of the 2nd fleet (the one near lexington) looked out in astonishment at the sight of the federal union ships opening fire on the Veredian fleet.
"well, it appears our job just got easier," said Ulrik with a smile. "Pull the fleet back and send this news to Master Kalgar." Ulrik ordered the withdrawal of the small fleet, they were going home.

Meanwhile, the 1st raiding fleet discontinued its battle with the Veredian convoy. The assult craft dislodged themselves from the cargo vessels they had rammed and took off with the loot they had stolen. The warp beacon activated and the entire fleet, both groups, entered a warp jump.

Back in the Capital of Gronde, Master Kalgar sat in his council room with 4 other councils.
Kalgar: It appears as though the Federal Union has switched sides.
Council 1: that is good news, we should try to make peace with them, they did declare war on us
Council 2: They hadn't shown any aggression against us yet, but we should make sure that they dont plan to invade us
Council 3: I still dont think this conflict will be resolved easily, TFU may hold a grudge, so we should continue building our solar system and orbital defences.

The son of King Drakon, Lord Jarred Drakon, will be in charge, he is a sensible man, and wishes for peace, and together, the three have the authority to speak for the three kingdoms.


*Macross Colony*

The small contingent of warships sent to guard the Macross colony found themselves staring down a fleet of Corpsac warships, lead by the largest, most deadly warship they had ever seen. It was called the Crow, and it, along with the attacking Corpsac fleets, had wiped out half of the warships in their first barrage, while blind luck had kept the others alive, but damaged.

The Veredian ships, about sixteen in total, responded with a full of barrage of everything they could muster, every last bit of firepower. The air bases on the colony disgorged countless Vortex and V-19 fighters as they swarmed towards the Corpsac fleet. The fighters already up there opened fire with missiles and guns, but were soon wiped out by Corpsac fighters. It was less than a minute before the other Veredian warships were destroyed.

The orbital defense platforms unleashed their full armament at the Corpsac vessels, including at least fourty of the relatively new Hydra-4 missiles, and volleys of pulse cannon and particle beam fire. Magneton cannons also opened up, but the Corpsac fleet was simply far to strong, and many of the platforms were going in fireballs.

On the ground, the Hydra-5 anti-orbital missiles fired, backed by ground based particle beams which sent red lances of searing energy at the Corpsac fleet. Then, a recent development, built based upon the fears of a Corpsac attack during the Corpsac civil war on Veredia itself, one of the newest weapons in the Veredian arsenal, the grand cannon opened its large gun ports. Situated in a remote region, and completely underground, the construction of it, and three others, one on the Baffin colony, two in Veredia, were well hidden from prying eyes. The immense weapons were shieled with camouflage, and the largest, most impressive ECM suits Veredian engineers and technicians could conceive of. Shielding hid the multiple fusion reactors from sensor sweeps, although their depth also helped.

General Reed, who commanded the Grand Cannon System number two, or simply GCS-02, looked at the targeting coordinates. The immense, and multiple, blast doors had parted, and the weapon had charged.

"Sir, what's the target?" asked the targeting officer.

"The enemy command ship, and see if you can sweep the beam while it lasts to hit a few of the ships near it" the General ordered before switching to command of the rest of the ground based defenses, the local militia and Veredian army units had gone underground, seeking to wage guerilla warfare on any Corpsac ground troops that would deploy.

Then it happened, the charging done, the immense energy beam cannon fired. The incredible beam of radiant shot straight up, punched through the atmosphere, and headed for the Corpsac command ship the Crow.

The fleet was devastated, the command ship destroyed, Duke Tyrell was dead, half the fleet gone from the unexpected, and devastating attack by the TFU vessels, and the losses suffered from the Corpsac ships and fortress.

Captain Ambronson stood defiantly amonst the ruin of his Destrier cruiser's bridge. Half the bridge crew was dead when another barrage of fire impacted the fleet. The Captain decided to take command of the shattered forces, since no one else would.

"All units, open fire with whatever Hydra missiles you have left, then divert all power to engines and ram whatever the hell you can!" the captain ordered as he took over for the dead tactical officer and fired the ship's remaining six Hydra WMDs at the TFU fleet and set a ramming course for a shipyard.

The two surviving corvettes, devoid of Hydras, charged at another shipyard, while six other ships charged at the fortress. The six other Veredian vessels still alive, five of which had been part of the second to jump in, fired whatever Hydras they had at the Corpsac ships and third shipyard, then moved to ram the the powerful fortress.

Beams of red light suddenly shot from the skies, obliterating the various government and law installations on this homeworld, marking the existance of this world under the Hoy Dacilandic Empire. 'People of Mediun Prima' booms the mothership of the mighty 4th fleet, 'Your foolish government has stressed themselves in a multifront war, and have fled like coward dogs', a slight chuckle, 'you will now all be under control of the Dacilandic Republic, all dissent will be crushed, all whom violate our laws will be crushed, bow to your new leader' booms the mothership as the populace in general bend for the ground.

*Lexington Base*

The TFU barrage tore through quite a few of the suicidal ships, claiming seven of them. However, the fortress blocked their field of fire, although the fortress' weapons blew threw four of the six ships headed for it, the two survivors taking heavy damage, even as parts of their hull were torn off.

The corpsac ships fired, smashing through the remaining vessels, leaving none of the Veredian ships left.

*Veredia*

Lord Drakon, a nephew of King Drakon, had taken command of the Veredia's new reclamation fleet. Consisting of ninety warships, and an assortment of troopships, and armed merchant ships, they departed for the colony Dacilandia was annexing.

Though it would leave Veredia lightly defended, the orbital platforms, ground based defenses and fighter squadrons would hopefully hold out against an attack.

the Fortrass had taken alot of damage from the Ramming, the shipyards thee damaged to they wouldnt be makeing any ships for sometime.
the Ravan was sitting back comanding the fleets, it sent out the surrender message to the Veredia ships tho there were only a few left it didnt matter but the admiral would rather have them surrender then kill them.

the destroyers were still fireing away, and the fortrass had lost a few guns but it would carry on fighting.

The final defenses were done, and Corpsac troops were landing. Though General Brazier, now commander of Macross, felt he could slaughter many Corpsac ground forces before being defeated, he had received a message from Veredia. The war was over, he was to stand down and withdraw his forces, civilian ships pressed into service would be arriving to pick him up, and he was to welcome the Corpsac forces with open arms, give them all the information they needed to run the colony, and gather their gear to return to Veredia. The colonial militia, formed of citizens from Macross, was encouraged to serve under Corpsac control, and continue their duties under the new government.

The general opened a transmission to the Corpsac fleet and began, "Corpsac fleet, I have received word of my government accepting your empress' terms to surrender. We have accepted these, and in accordance, are deactivating all weapon systems, and will provide you with whatever you need. Admiral Ferran stood upon the bridge of the Loki, one of the few remaining battlecruisers in the fleet. He reviewed the scouts' observation of Dacilandia's demonstration of firepower. He didn't like what he saw, and although the reclamation fleet, with Arenumberg's help, could probably retake the colony, it would be to costly, and drag Veredia into a war with Dacilandia. What Veredia needed now was simply to rebuild its fleet, then, Dacilandia would see what happens when you betray Veredia.

This war has been costly for us, multiple colonies have been lost, a short and brutal civil war raged across Veredia with the departure of Vered, and much of our fleet has been shattered. We do not wish to see any of our ships in combat against your nations again, as there is never a point to it. Thus, we have proposed to Corpsac, and are proposing to you three, a peace conference to work out the terms of an alliance that will, at the very least, ensure peace between us.

"Sir! Veredia reporting that the TFU fleet in our space has departed, they believe they headed to Dacilandia, do you want to do anything?" asked the XO.

"Negative captain, not yet anyways, if TFU and Dacilandian forces begin engaging each other, and TFU finds itself in a losing position, we will move in to assist them, but otherwise, I would rather not risk a conflict with Dacilandia" the admiral ordered.

*Veredia*

The new Lion fleet arrived from Corpsac, immediately they were docked into the repair yards, and crawling with techs and engineers as they worked to update anything that need updating, and to rework some of the ships to better suit Veredian needs. The corvettes were all being overhauled with additional armour and a different weapon system.

Meanwhile, the shipyards were also busy at work, hastily constructing new ships, one, a Cavalier class of frigate, had been under construction since before the war, and was now complete. Its christening ceremonies completed, the vessel moved out of its berth and instantly work began on a brand new type of ship for the Veredian Space Navy, the Justice class missile ship.

While I admire your enthusiasm for wishing to come, you were not invited, and would not be welcome. You saw an opportuniy to prey upon a nation at war with a far superior nation, and simply used it to seize a new colony. Veredia as a whole, right now, really doesn't like Dacilandia, we like Corpsac more, because they had good reasons for going to war, although we are obviously pissed over Anarundak, they could wiped out all of Veredia, but spared us instead. You simply saw a chance, and then conquered a planet while we were to weak to defend. Thus, any armed Dacilandian vessel that enters our space will be fired upon. Any unarmed vessel will be ordered to leave, and if they refuse, then they will be boarded, or destroyed if boarding is to difficult.


The Duke sent the message to Dacilandia then turned to the newly appointed defense minister. "When will the Lion fleet be ready?" he asked.

"Well, we could launch them right now if we wanted to, but if we want the refits completed, two weeks" the defense minister replied.

Tasini would have liked to have them sooner, as he was hoping to send some kind of assistance to help Corpsac with their shinzu problem, and had figured on the new fleet being a perfect force to send. He would have to inquire as to information regarding the Shinzu situation, then offer one of the other fleets instead.

We do want peace, which is why a simple non-agression pact between us will suffice, the peace conference is being setup with the hopes of establishing free trade, and possibly military alliances with nations such as TFU and Corpsac. And how exactly does conquering a colony constitute as helping us?
