Invade LRR! (Open modern-tech RP)

We have always been somewhat paranoid about the state of national defense in LRR, but we have never actually had a chance to test how well the LRRMF can repell an invasion, or how well it can function against already-landed forces.

So, we have decided to hold a military exersize for left-wing nations like ourselves, preferably with powerful economies and large militaries, with the aim of seeing how well the LRRMF can defend the country.

This is LRR (ignore the surrounding countries, we don't actually own Alaska, but this is what LRR looks like, and it is in the same area).

Your task: Invade it. The only places suitable for large-scale landings are ports, and on the Aleutian islands, and the area between St. Michael and Bethel. The coast is long, but large distances are either frozen or full of icebergs from early october to mid may. In this time (late march), you could probably land at any port along the south coast and up until Nome.

You will be faced with the mighty LRR ARMADA!!!!!!!!!!!

Using advanced laser tag and paintball technologies, LRR defenses will be able to be tested without anyone dying. ASM batteries line the coastline, as do SAM batteries and coastal artillery. However, most of it is well-camoflauged and has a low radar cross-section. The LRRN is based in anchorage, so many anti-ship defenses will be found there. Nome, St. Michael, and Kodiak Island are the most heavily defended ports, but one can expect ASMs to have the entire coast within radar range.

The LRRN maintains a large fleet of frigates and destroyers, which operates all over the coast, with major bases in Anchorage and St. Michael. More importantly, the coastline is dotted with very small, movable bases which support the very large fleet of patrol and missile boats. The patrol and missile boats are usually camoflauged in sea caves, or in coastal inlets and around islands. They have very shallow drafts and can be found based in the most unusual of places. Rock formations and heavily forrested islands are the most popular. They patrol the coast and provide local anti-ship, anti-submarine, and anti-aircraft cover over the entire coast, with most missile squadrons, consisting of the Skjold and Bora II corvettes, operating along the west coast and islands. The more standard big ships fleet covers the south coast pretty well. Submarines are also based along the coast, and operate out of all sorts of places.

The LRRAF has the entire LRR countryside within radar coverage at any given time. AWACS aircraft and fixed ground stations provide all-weather, day and night radar coverage. These stations provide direction to LRRAF squadrons, based from small airstrips all over the country. Most airstrips are actually roads, and fighter squadrons have much freedom of movement with the advent of mobile ground support. They have total coverage over the entirety of LRR, with the most advanced F-3 aircraft based near the coast, and MiG-29KIs operating further inland. The LRRAF also operates attack squadrons, consisting of Su-25II and Jaguar II aircraft from similar areas as the fighter squadrons. Expect to be under threat of air attack pretty much anywhere.

On the coast, MiG-29KI anti-shipping aircraft and Cormorant patrol planes form the high-tech portion of the LRRN/AF coast defense wing, with Atlantique MOD patrol planes as the main aircraft type.

The LRRA has helicopter attack and transport squadrons based throughout the country, along with army mechanized and infantry units. Most heavy armor (tanks and artillery) is based near the coast, with anti-tank units being based further back, in the more mountainous and forested areas where they can exploit their vehicles' excellent rough terrain characteristics and not be faced with head-on engagements against MBTs.

Mechanized infantry units are about evenly distributed around the country. Reserve infantry units defend the cities, with the full-time forces in a more flexible deployment area when around the coast. Forces based further back in the forests, mountains, and tundra are mostly mechanized infantry and anti-tank units. They know the terrain very well and are extremely skilled. As you get into the mountains, you begin to see less aircraft and more helicopters, for want of suitable airstrips.

So, that's that! Any left-wing or communist nations are welcome to participate in this, preferably some of the larger and more well-known ones. This will be an excellent learning experience for your forces and mine!
