The latest in weapons technology:
(possibly future tech, possibly not - you decide)

MWT MK1 Sonic Rifle

Manktoria Weapons Technologies have successfully combined sonic weapon technology with that of the standard rifle. The weapon emits a focused ‘beam’ of sound onto the target. If fired at men, it will severely disorientate them. However, if this sound wave has the same frequency as the target’s resonating frequency, them the target will be destroyed. Therefore, the Mark1 comes mounted preprogrammed with the frequency for water (to destroy organic matter), a few common metals, and space for the buyer to program in his own frequencies. There is also the option to cycle through multiple frequencies in one shot, allowing you to destroy multiple materials.
It is therefore a highly effective anti-armour weapon, able to take out some tanks etc in a single shot.
It is powered by gun-mounted batteries, which, unfortunately, have a life of a few hours under combat conditions. The batteries can be easily recharged from any power source, and a mobile generator is suggested for support.
The gun itself is slightly larger than a normal rifle, but has zero recoil.

Price: US$ 8,000

We are currently working on downsizing the gun, prolonging battery life, and developing pistols/heavy weaponry around the technology

A little cheap, considering OICW to be in the $10,000-ish range

I suppose that is true

we will take 4 million
Manktoria

That should come to US$ 32bil

Though we will ship them out in 4 batches of 1mil

to vairy our arsenal we use mainly oicws and ak 108s

Plus!

Dual, turret mounted sonic rifles
Easliy mounted onto the roof of many vehicles, designed to act as secondary weapon on larger vehicles
Unbeatable short range anti-armour defense

Can be supplied with batteries for short term use, or rigged to run of vehicle's motor., for unlimited use.

US$ 20,000

I'd like to point out that these should only be used in future tech, while we do have things that can emit waves of sound in a general direction, they're nowhere close to being able to destroy a tank or something similar.

But many already know of resonating frequencies - each compound/elment has an exact frequency, which when applied, causes the atoms to build up large amounts of heat. It can be done with sound waves, and a mcrowave cooker uses this effect (though with microwaves) to heat up water.

(OOC) though im also sceptical about being able to hit a single target at a range of more than 10m

Will change to possible future tech

We are certainly capable of producing a sonic emmitter to disorientate enemy troops, though

Yes, but it's not very effective yet and last I saw it was too large to use on the field.

I couldn't say, but lets just leave the (possible) arguing - if nations buy it - they can choose whether to use it as future or modern tech.

ill take 3 million if eveything

Then I would like to make it clear that I will not accept the use of sonic weapons of this power to be used in my modern-tech RPs, and deeply frown upon its use in RPs that I am involved.

Is that a cancellation of your previous 4mil purchase,
or do you want 3mil more, or 3 mil turrets, or 3mil more of both?

3mil more of both money wired

That should be 24bil plus 60bil in US$, I take it?

(It seems like using this on enemy troops would be unnecesary cruelness. How exactly would this "destroy" a living person? )

The human body contains a lot of water. If the correct frequency of sound were applied to the water, the molecules would start to vibrate, generating large amounts of heat - this in itself would kill a man, but it could also get hot enough to turn into steam, causing pressure to build up, so the man might explode.

Microwaves have the same effect on water (if the right frequency of wave is used) - put a potato that has no cut etc in its skin, and put it in the microwave, and it should explode.

The general frequency of human tissue is 7-8Hz. Extended exposure to such frequencies will cause first extreme discomfort, then the tissue will dissolve because it will be shaken apart.
