The latest in weapons technology:
(possibly future tech, possibly not - you decide)
MWT MK1 Sonic Rifle
Manktoria Weapons Technologies have successfully combined sonic weapon technology with that of the standard rifle. The weapon emits a focused ‘beam’ of sound onto the target. If fired at men, it will severely disorientate them. However, if this sound wave has the same frequency as the target’s resonating frequency, them the target will be destroyed. Therefore, the Mark1 comes mounted preprogrammed with the frequency for water (to destroy organic matter), a few common metals, and space for the buyer to program in his own frequencies. There is also the option to cycle through multiple frequencies in one shot, allowing you to destroy multiple materials.
It is therefore a highly effective anti-armour weapon, able to take out some tanks etc in a single shot.
It is powered by gun-mounted batteries, which, unfortunately, have a life of a few hours under combat conditions. The batteries can be easily recharged from any power source, and a mobile generator is suggested for support.
The gun itself is slightly larger than a normal rifle, but has zero recoil.
Price: US$ 8,000
We are currently working on downsizing the gun, prolonging battery life, and developing pistols/heavy weaponry around the technology
