Being unfair when you RP is stupid, and a lot of the time, derives from ignorance. I have a couple questions that I asked when I started playing. These are questions that I think all decent players/RPers should ask when they join the game., so they don't end up godmodding.

+ What is a reasonable budget for a small country my size?
+ What are reasonable military capabilities/weapon developments? (consider that my nation is in space (Note: Not Anymore))
+ What is a reasonable military size, and what are some reasonable weapons (not the process of devoloping weapons, but already existing weapons) that I might have?

If you wern't a future tech nation, it would be very easy to answer these. But since you are it is very hard to estimate what military systems you would have.

Personally as far as budget tracking goes, I use one of the budget calcs you can find in the stickies. But as an additional factor to my economy, I keep a log of all things sold and bought via RP to keep an accurate balance of my surplus/deficit. (Currently at a surplus, but haven't rp'd in a long while)

Just how far future are you? Are we talking Star Trek, near future, Aliens Galore, or what?

And congratulations on being one of the few new nations to want to play properly and not try and godmod.

My region is in space. That is the only reason I am in space. One thing I like about future weapons is laser cannons and deflector shiels on fighters. Thats about it. From now on, I'm not a future nation, I just have laser cannons on my fighters :)
