-Ruline Sea, off the Coast of Azerio-
Today, at approximately 11:30am, the MCS Seadragon, a heavy battlecruiser of the Mestionian fleet gave chase to a cargo ship believed to be carrying unauthorized military equipment out of the country. The cargo ship in question refused to stop, and carried on the chase for nearly 1/2 hour.
Then, at roughly 12:00pm, while following the questionable cargo ship, the Seadragon made contact with the AFS Tomahawk. Without warning, the Tomahawk fired her 4' guns at the Seadragon, destroying her radio tower and a substantial piece of her lower bridge. Moments later, the Tomahawk fired a shell from one of her imposing 18' guns, narrowly missing the Seadragon.
When notified of the attack, Mestionian Naval command immediately ordered the Seadragon to vacate the scene poste haste. Upon her return to port, medical and repair crews descended on her like ants on spilled syrup. Six Mestionian sailors were killed and 11 more wounded, 3 critically, and the repairs to the Seadragon will cost an estimated $9 million dollars.
Following the incident, Mestionian President James Holsher condemned the Azerian Navy bu saying that they acted, "....in contradiction of their own maritime laws by breaching Mestionian waters and attacking a foreign ship."
An Azerian press release blames the attack on Mestionian, claiming that the Seadragon had entered Azerian waters and was firing on a merchant ship carrying a cargo of tobacco and grain stores.
