Jay August, Allanean highschool history teacher and shooting instructor, looked at his pupils. There were ten of them - the School Markmanship team - the best marksmen in his county, (OOC: NOT country, county), based on the medals. Here were all of them: Alex Norton, the geekish practical rifle competitor, with his shirt pockets full of rifle magazines, his hands gripping his M-16AL rifle nervously, his eyes blinking from under his thick-framed glasses; Sheila Pollock, 1st place, service rifle competition. If the school had cheerleaders, she'd be one. Right now, she was busy attaching an M203 grenade launcher to her rifle.. The launcher was, of course, stolen from the schools armoury.
Then there was the Kennet twins, two blonde boys leaning on their rifles and staring at Sheila. Sheila loved Peter Jacobs, he thought - not that Peter cared right now. Every girl liked Peter, but he only cared about Kayla Petersen, the freckled redhead next to him. Then there was Martin, the fat "sniper" who carried his fathers M700 PSS instead of the regular M-16AL, Johny with his M4-AL shorty that his father bought him before even the Special Forces got their pic, and Linda with her Remington 870. She wasn't less dangerous than everybody else - she just happened to be the county trapshooting champion.

And he, their favourite teacher, was going to get them all killed.

"Today, children, we're going to help fulfil Allanea's destiny. We're going to help free Axackal. And, most importantly, we're going to kill Edolians."

There were happy grins in the room. August has brainwashed them thoroughly...

"Everybody got a handgun? A knife? Peter, Kayla, did you bring the grenades? John Kennet, your launcher?"

"Yes, Mr. August" said the boy, waving the RPG-7 launcher he stole from the school armoury a month before.

"Good. Jack, help your brother to carry the grenades"

The grenades, five PG-30 Allanean-made grenades, could pierce the armour on an Edolian MBT.

"And I'll add this", said the teacher, grabbing the Strela-3 launcher. "Only one shot, but I hope it will do.

Luck was with them, as they suceessfully crossed the 2 km safety zone inside Axackal without being noticed.

"Excuse me, Mr. August? What's that tractor?"

Jay August look a long look at the military atractor lumbering along some 50 meters away from their hideout, guarded by four Edolian soldiers on foot and two in a military Jeep.

"Okay kids, these are the Edolian aggressors, building some form of embattlements" He took off his rifle and loaded it. "At my command... fire!"

The driver of the tractor didn't even have time to scream as a 6.5mm Grendel round took his skull apart. Simultaneously, Alex, Shila, and the Kenneth twins exterminated the escort. The jeep driver slumped forward on the wheel as Martin hit him under the chin.

The two slugs that hit the passenger of the jeep were slowed down by the bullet-resistant vest, and so he could radio the words that changed history:

"Taking heavy fire. Losses. Need backup now!"

It's not a big deal, but there is no way a grenade could pierce the armor of a B-1 Imperium. It has an armor class of 1,900 mm against kinetic rounds and 2,500mm against HEAT rounds -even more against light weapons like grenades. Again, it doesn't matter. I just figured I would tell you for future reference.>>

"Sir!" Commander Albert von Tusk looked up from his magazine. What is it now? "Sir!"
"What is it, von Lerz?" The freckled private nodded nervously.
"We just made radio contact with unit 251, surveying along the Allanean border. They are under heavy fire from a group of unidentified gunmen, presumably Allaneans. We lost contact with them almost immediately."
"Damn it. These gun-toting bastards are just itching for the Scarlet Legions to come pouring over the border, aren't they?" The private nodded. "Alright. Dispatch a team immediately. Let's blow them away. I want a G-2/U and a G-9/TA out their pronto. Tear them apart. And send any prisoners to me. I'll interrogate them myself."

Twenty minutes later, two helicopters flew across the barren West Axackali landscape. Almost silent, they glided low to the ground. The smaller one, a G-2/U Gryphon unmanned helicopter gunship carried an array of viscious weaponry inside its sleak, stealth body. The other helicopter, a light G-9/TA Hippogryph carried a team of six commandos, its open side-doors revealed two heavy miniguns.
"We have confirmation. Scout craft have spotted a group of eleven wearing combat fatigues. They are moving due East. Move immediately to engage."
"Roger that, sir. We're closing in... 1.2 km... 1.1... 1.0... 0.9..." The helicopters moved closer towards the Allanean group. At half a klick from their target, a small rack of S/04 anti-infantry rockets snapped into place along the side of the unmanned gunship.
"Open fire."

As Phyrric has no troops deployed in the Axackal Theater at this point, the official response is "nothing". As far as the exercises in the other thread, it is understood and noted.

"RUN! RUN!" Screamed August, and his "team" started to break radially (in ten different directions). As the children ran, August took aim at the unmanned gunship and pulled the trigger, seconds before the minigun fire ripped his body apart.

Martin stops abruptly, staring at Jay Augusts mutilated body. Then, he turns back towards his teach.

"NOO! Not MR. August! NOO!" He shrieks, even as his sportsman's reflex kicks in and he fires off a wild shot at the pilot's canopy of the helicopter...

OOC: Hm... I would be more at home thinking that Allanea, a nation willing to use nuclear weapons in all forms weaponary (from depth charges to anti-air) is by far more dangerous to the environment...

Nuclear Weapons mess up the environment, everyone knows that.

The Naval Guard still has 3 Battle Groups and 2 Carrier Groups in the area. They have been monitoring the exercises and now noticed the activity over Edolian radio as well as the helicopter activity. Aboard the Sir Willaim Issem,Command Admiral Lassander Ilek hails Edolian forces

"We have noticed increased activity along the border. If you require assistance we have 5,000 Naval Guard marines and 500 fighters that can be deployed immediatly, Axackal and the Allanean border is well within the range of our cruise missles. You can count on us for full support if you so require it."

The giant 'Revenge' class battleships (4 of them) limbered their naval guns as the alarms sounded, missles ports popped open and closed as Fire Control tested them.

The Carriers Tlaloc and Hechicero immediatly began ready the flight decks.

"We have noticed increased activity along the border. If you require assistance we have 5,000 Naval Guard marines and 500 fighters that can be deployed immediatly, Axackal and the Allanean border is well within the range of our cruise missles. You can count on us for full support if you so require it."
"That is quite generous of, friends, but I'm sure the Legions can deal with a dozen Allanean fantatics."

The two helicopters broke formation as the Allaneans began running. Heavy maching gun fire from the G-2/U ripped long lines of destruction through the soil as its twin anti-infantry guns target the over-weight Martin. A dozen S01 shrapnel anti-personnel rockets shot out towards Johnny with his special gun. All this happened in the few seconds it took for the Allanean Stela-3 missile to reach the G-2 helicopter. The burning wreakage tumbled to the ground. Meanwhile, the G-9/TA began moving towards the Kennet twins, each of its side miniguns targetting one boy. As Edolian surveillance planes flying overhead get the tabs on the Allaneans, an additional two G-9s take off and begin heading towards the fight-zone.

"Damnit sir! They took down the gunship! I don't think they have any more missiles, but this makes our job a helluva lot tougher."

A return message is relayed to the helicopter-borned commandos. "Support is on the way. We want prisoners. Attempt to disable one or two of them with sniper fire. If that is not possible, make sure that none survive."

Martin screams as dozens of bullets throw his body back like football. Jack flattens himself on the ground, listening to the missiles wizz overhead. The Kenneths leap into some bush, becoming invisible from the air.

Peter Jacobs fires off three quick shots at the open door of the helicopter (OOC: did he hit anyone?) before two bullets throw him on his back with two holes in his right lung. He gasps for air in horror, realising will die if medical attention is not given soon.

Then they hear Sheila scream. See her fall. An Edolian sniper hit her. It's not dangerous, but she can't walk right now.

Within seconds, Norton is next to Sheila, helping he get up.

"Everything is going to be all right, Sheila, " the geekish boy says, "Everything is going to be fine. I love you, Sheila".

Sheila smiles midly. "I love you, Alex. I really do".

A long string of shot is heard in the background. It's Jacobs' girlfriend, firing a long string of shots at the Edolian helicopter, trying to distract it.

On the exact opposite side, Linda is readying her shotgun.

Suddenly a bullet ripped through Norton's arm. The helicopter slowed as it passed over-head and moved closer to the ground. Minigun fire played over the landscape at the other Allaneans as laser-guided anti-personnel mini-rockets struck out at others.

The Edolian commandos were armored head-to-toe with their full-body X120 Legionaire Combat Suits. The glass of their black helmets reflected the heat of battle. "Sir! Are we cleared to jump?"
"Not quite," the pilot radioed back. "We want this clear before we make any moves."

There's a loud explosion at the place were Linda just stood.

One of the Kennets tries to run, but a minigun cuts him down.

Kayla dies, as a laser-guided missile hits her on the face.

Johny is nowhere, he seems to have disappeard.

Alex is whispering "Everything is going to be fine, Sheila. Everything is going to be fine.

Suddenly there was silence. Just the quiet hum of the helicopter and the muffled sobs of Alex and Sheila interrupted the sound of the battlefield. "All clear. We're coming down." The helicopter slowly touched down, ten meters from the downed couple. The rotors stopped as two Edolians, identical in their full-body suits stepped out and strode towards the Allaneans, their rifles held ready. Roughly, they hoisted the two into the helicopter. Another Edolian had discovered Peter Jacobs.
"This one is still alive, but just barely breathing."
"Can he be saved?"
"No." A single shot split the air. "Opps. We lost him."

As the Edolians re-entered the helicopter, along with their Allanean captives, the rotors slowly began to turn. As they sped up, the helicopter slowly moved into the air and began its return journey home. A single message was sent back to the base: "Two prisoners taken. Two Allaneans escaped."

Commander von Tusk nodded and turned to his aide. "Compose an official report. 'All Allaneans killed or escaped...'"

As dusk began settling in, the President sighed. He was facing extreme political pressure, and thoughts began swirling in his brain. He angrily threw his pen across the room, and sighed again. He heard a knock on his door, and said in a very monotous way, "Come in."

His personal aid walked in, looking rather shaky. "Sir, as you know, Allanea and Edolia have been close to conflict for the past few weeks. I fear that tensions may have hit a new level." He handed the president a brown folder. "The latest, and only, reports we have are that a small group of unidentified gunmen, probably Allaneans, have attacked a small Edolian troop unit. The last I heard is that an Edolian chopper has gone down. Nobody knows what exactly is going on, but we're trying our hardest to get contact with the field commanders.." The President shook his head slowly. "Don't do anything as of yet..I am so sick and tired of doing this. I don't know how much more of this bullshit I can take." The aid looked rather concerned and said, "Mr. President..are you okay?" The President nodded. After a few moments he looked up from the folder and said, "You can leave now.."

Two hours later

Linda, Jack, and the survivng Kennet turn themselves in to the Allanean border patrol.

Commander von tusk sat behind his desk in the dark room. In the tradition of all Edolian officers, his head was shaved. Around sixty years of age, his tight uniform displayed his well-toned muscles. Across from him sat the two captive Allaneans. "Welcome to Axackal, comrades. How are you on this fine day? Not too uncomfortable, I hope? So... Let's talk. Who the f*ck are you and what are you doing in the demiliterized zone? We can make this a nice, pleasant talk, or we can make this painful and humiliating. No one knows you are here and technically... you're dead. So... what's it going to be?"

Alex glared at the Edölian commander. "OK, gun-grabbing communist scum," he started. "I've read everything about your torture methods. I know you can make me tell you all I know. So I'll just talk. So what do you want to know, scum?"
The commander smiled. "Excellent," he said in Allanean. He turned around and spoke to unseen comrades. "It looks like we wont be needing the lights." Turning back to the Allaneans, he said "Let's start with your names."

"Of course,” spat Alex.
"What were you doing in Axackal? Don't you know it isn't your turf anymore?"
Alex switched to Edölian. "If you're having problems with my language, scum, I can talk yours and so can Sheila." The Edölian laughed.
"Spunky. I'm glad to know that the Allanean schools are putting the energy into teaching you your future official language." He switched to Edölian. "So answer my question."
"We were planning to kill scu... Edolian soldiers. And technically, it is Allanean land, but let's not argue politics"
"May I ask... why you would go to such extremes?"
"Mr. August - our History teacher - believed it would spur our citizens - and maybe our government - to act and do something with the problem."
"He hoped we might find out something useful about your military,” Sheila added. Albert von Tusk squinted at the Allaneans' dirt-encrusted faces. "Wait a second... How old are you?" Alex said,
"I'm going to be... was going to be 17 this September."
"I'm seventeen," said the other. The commander nodded. He turned away from the two Allaneans and put a hand up to his ear.
"I don't think we're going to get anything interesting out of these kids." Suddenly Alex paled, remembering an old myth he had heard about Edölian soldiers.
"Listen to me, you BLEEEP BLEEP BLEEPING scum! You touch Sheila the wrong way, I'm going to rip your BLEEPING heart out!" The Edolian put out his hand.
"We didn't introduce ourselves properly. My name is Albert von Tusk. And don't worry. I have no interest in your girl." He smiled amiably. Alex stared at von Tusk in amazement. He nodded slowly, realization dawning.
"So it's going to be simple shooting instead of slow drowning for us?"
"Why do you think you're going to be shot?" asked the Edölian.
"Because, well, well-"
"We're Edölians, not Allanean barbarians."
"YOU... YOU..." Alex gasped with anger. "YOU. . are... so lucky... so lucky my right arm doesn’t work right now."
"We don't execute our prisoners,” said the commander, looking at the two Allanean teenagers gravely. “Unfortunately..." The Edölian picked up the papers on his desk and walked to the door. It opened and two Edölian soldiers walked in. Albert von Tusk looked down at one of the reports and turned to the Allaneans. "Unfortunately, this report stated that all Allaneans were killed or escaped." The door shut. As he walked through the hallway, Albert von Tusk heard two sharp gunshots. It looks like I’ll have to get that room cleaned again, he thought.

It was just another day on the frontier...

Hundreds of thousands turned out today for the memorial services of the seven Edolians killed on the Allanean border by a rogue group of Allanean fanatics. Many of the protestors shouted anti-Allanean slogans and burned fake rifles. This is expected to impact this month's elections with anti-Allanean sentiment running extremely high. The Red Flag party is expected to capitalize greatly on this wave and with its emphasis on military preparedness, will most likely gain great influence in Parlaiment.

"It is obvious that the Allanean government support the terorists that attacked Edolia. The way that the Allanean government has trotted these children out to the press is an open admittance by the Allanean government that these terrorist attacks are part of the greater Allanean strategy to attempt and provoke Edolia to war, a war that Allanea cannot win."

"I have ordered the Minister of Defence to fully deploy to Goobergunchia 4 Retaliatory Guard armies, let's see ho Allanea likes 320,000 men and 40,000 tanks on their other border."

Great Matean President Teo McGrath conducted his first interview with the press on the current Edolian\Allanean situation today, and released this statement:

"Personally, I'm appalled by the actions of the Edolian military. While I do not condone the actions of these children, I must stress that they are still children. These children did not know what they were getting themselves into, and were not afforded an oppurtunity to surrender and be taken into custody, and afterwards let the Edolian judicial system run its course. They were attacked and viciously slaughtered. And though two of them were taken captive by the Edolian military, their whereabouts and condition are now unknown. The Allanean government is not condoning their actions, they are merely trying to protect the rights of citizens who in the majority of nations are still considered minors.

"I'm also disturbed by the knee jerk reaction of other government leaders to place all the blame on the Allanean government, and threaten them with war. Yet they care not about the possible torturing of 2 teenaged children, or even the families of those that were killed during the incident. They only care of assaulting Allanean government. This disgusts me. With this in mind, I issue a warning to any of these quick trigger fingered leaders: Great Mateo will not hesitate to throw the full weight of its massive military behind Allanea should it be invaded. We do not want it to come to this though, and hope the aforementioned leaders come to their senses and attempt to reach a diplomatic end to this situation."

And with that, McGrath proceeded to leave the press area of his Presidential complex and was said to be heading directly to the planning center at Project Ember, the enormous underground military complex that spans most of GM.

Edolia, the cold-bloodness of your soldiers have cost several students their lives. You should have made every attempt to capture, rather than kill. I will be sending a diplomatic envoy to both nations, who will seek to prevent further bloodshed and perhaps find common ground with which to make peace."

I leaned forward, with a stern expression. "I expect cooperation from the both of you. Good day."

We would like to point out that the legal concepts employed by CoreWorlds in this situation are so patently absurd there is probably no point.

Successful negotiations are not possible with both sides being threatened with massive amounts of troops coming down on them as soon as something goes wrong. Both sides must pull their forces back from the border.

This said we feel it must be noted that if Allanea cannot control it's citizens and make sure they attempt to kill Edolians, then the Edolians have the right to deal any person who would harm their people as they see fit.

At this brink of war, we must advise all parties to try to seek peace whenever possible, to avoid bloodshed over little things that can be easily solved with efforts. We urge all parties to withdraw unnecessary forces to prevent possible misunderstands and unstability across the region, as these will only cost money and esculate the situation into a more undesirable situation and circumstance.

The forces that Phyrric deployed are available for Edolia to use. If they are to be transported to Axackal, then they will be at the expense of Edolia. These forces can be used to relieve Edolian forces on the mainland as to free up his own forces.

"We have the latest intel data from the recon satellites we repositioned over Allanea. It appears that the Ilek Vaadian army is mobilizing and moving en masse to the Allanean border. Photos suggest approximately 4,200 tanks and 300,000+ infantry. They'll be in the borderlands of Axackal by daybreak," the young officer replied nervously, trying to not screw up his report.

McGrath leaned back into his chair, placed his laced fingers to his face, and sighed. "Doesn't anyone take peace negotiations seriously any more?"

Not knowing whether the question was rhetorical or not, the officer simply replied "Would you like me to prepare a press release prepared condemning these actions?"

McGrath almost instantly replied no. "Then what do you wish us to do, sir?"

"Well, I already said that Allanea would have the full military power of GM behind it should it be attacked, and this does appear to be the beginnings of an invasion. I can't go against my word now, can I? We're going to make an example out of these aggressors. Get me the CINCs on a SECURE video conference call line, and get them now. Alert me when they are ready. "Hasselbach. I want 10 Beowulf A platoons, 35 GM-LAV25s, and 5 troop platoons, along with full supplies, on each 3008. THe next thing, you're going to need to work together with Kaiser. I want you to jimmy rig another deck and seats into the lower deck of 75 C-5s. 400 on the lower two decks to compliment the 75 we have on the upper deck. Then I want 20 platoons on each plane. Back and forth, non-stop. 62,500 platoons total. When you've got all the supplies and tanks you need, start loading attack choppers and artillery on the TAKs.

It's gonna take more C-5's than that Total deployment time from a non-war footing = 6+ months

That was only for initial deployments, I have more C-5s to use, and was offered a few hundred Starlifters and C-17s on loan from Federation of the Eternal Flame.

Not even close. I've got 1.1 billion people, with 1.38% of my population in the military, which is far more realistic than most. That comes to 15 million military personnel. About 30-35% of that is actual troops, rest is support personnel. That leaves me with around 5 million troops to distribute to infantry, mechanized, air force, and ships as I see fit.

My military budget is, and has always been, 10% of my national budget, which is sizable thanks to my Frightening level economy. That is supplemented by income from my wildly successful storefront. I also can get equipment cheaper than most, because I produce everything myself, and therefore only pay production costs, while everyone else pays production costs + profit.

Allanea is the aggressor in this instance and has been responsible for escalating the situation each time.

My deployment is a defensive measure on Allanea's behalf after Edolian allies deployed huge numbers of troops. I fail to see how defending a nation from imminent invasion constitutes aggresiveness.

And I did not say Edolia had no thoughts of peace, though they did reject the mediator. Edolia's allies, the ones who have deployed hundreds of thousands of troops to the Allanean border, did not attempt to negotiate, they simply deployed troops. They have no thoughts of peace, only war.

The Naval forces deployed by the RPA are a defensive deployment. The RPA has a long-standing Military relationship with the Nation of Phyrric and has assisted the great nation of Arigento in several just causes. And because of this relationship the RPA has pledged support to the collation of nations that are fighting the Terrorist groups in and around Edolia. This deployment may increase or decrease as the situation unfolds.

OOC: How exactly do people think they can deploy more than a million personnel :roll: ? 100,000 is a stretch in a short time frame.

My deployment is a defensive measure on Allanea's behalf after Edolian allies deployed huge numbers of troops. I fail to see how defending a nation from imminent invasion constitutes aggresiveness.

And I did not say Edolia had no thoughts of peace, though they did reject the mediator. Edolia's allies, the ones who have deployed hundreds of thousands of troops to the Allanean border, did not attempt to negotiate, they simply deployed troops. They have no thoughts of peace, only war.

Ah, fellow nations, it's nice to see that our friends across the border have been trying ever so hard to bring this situation to an end. Yet they dare call us "agressors"? Ha!

This started because Allanea can't seem to control it's terrorist problem... they just don't seem willing to stop their citizens from taking their perfectly legal guns and using them against Edolian families...

All day they promote rebelion in the Edolia with their new radio station; not that this propergander will effect the communist regime seeing as it is a nation run by the peolpe. However there may be one or two who are impressionable...

Meanwhile you promote the fact that Edolia has less civil rights then Allanea because they don't allow their citizens to have guns, you have exercises depicting Edolian terrain and uniforms and landmarks...

This is how you try and stop your people from commiting acts of terror in Edolia?

And you call Edolia agressors?


We can see what Edolia needs more soldiers on their borders, to stop the terrorists Allanea can't seem to stop themselves. Their age only shows that Allanea can't even teach their children right from wrong...

We still feel that Edolia doesn't need so many troops near their border, but then again they have shown more restraint then the Allanea allies who would deploy anything upwards of a million to protect a nation from agression that will never happen.


So I would suggest that Allanea starts geting a grip on their terrorist problem, better education perhaps, better security wouldn't do any harm.

In Axackal the first forces to arrive from Ilek-Vaad were of course, the 2,000 men of the 9th Red Jaguar Command. Their supersonic Marathon-L transports landed at Edolia's main base in the area, all 20 of them touching down at the same time in perfect precision (they are VTOL).

Within minutes the ramp on the lead Marathon opened and out came a single Red Jaguar. His active camoflage is set to red and he carries a white flag with a red leaping jaguar on one side and a red IX on the other , he sprints quickly down the tarmac, shouting at the top of his lungs "AHMATE! AHMATE! HA! CHI-CHI! HA!"

As he does this the other Marathons open their ramps each one disgorging 200 heavily armed and armoured Red Jaguar. They quickly double time it down the ramps and sprint after the colour bearer, carrying in their left hands their FN-HAR .30-06 guns and in their right hands, machetes, macanas and hand axes.

As they run they respond every time the color bearer shouts "HA! CHI-CHI! HA!" with an emphatic " Micatoyah! HA!CHI-CHI!HA Micatoyah, Inno choca! Micatouyah, Inno metatl! HA! CHI-CHI! HA!"

They pause every few feet to stop and stomp the ground as they dance in circles, swining their weapons dangerously about, but always in perfect precision. Once they have caught up with the colour bearer they form in two groups on either side, chanting "HUS! HUS! HUS!" as a large man, 6 foot 9 inches and nearly 300 pounds of muscle, strides between the groups his rifle raised up over his head. It is Command General Itzcoatl, his face is covered by scarifications of Tolteca glyphs, his teeth are all stained red and sharpened to points, his dark eyes are blood shot and wild.

Command General Itzcoatl is the most senior officer in the Retliatory Guard. He has been a Command General for thirty years and has a fearsome reputation of winning battles while being hideously outnumbered, often 100 to 1. His battlefield cunning and merciless savgery are reknowned, rumours constantly fly that he allows his Red Jaguar to take part in cannibal rituals, much like the ancient Tolteca Jaguar Warriors did. Next to the Supreme Republican Commander, he is the most respected tactician, but he is far more feared.

Again, nowhere did I say Edolia itself was the aggressor in this situation; I merely said I was disgusted how they handled the situation with the children.

The true aggressors are the Edolian allies who jumped the gun and deployed troops before peace talks ever had a chance to truly get under way. Perhaps you failed to notice the hundreds of thousand Ilek Vaadian troops lining on the Allanean Borders, Iuthia. Tell me, how would you react in a high tension situation with a border nation when said border nation's allies started preparing themselves for war at your borders? You would deploy troops in defense. I promised Allanea the full support of GMs military should a foreign nation make acts of aggresiveness against Allanea, and true to my word, that support has been received. These troops will not, I repeat. will not attack anyone, so long as the Edolian allied forces do not attempt to attack Allanea.

If the nations of leaders such as Ilek Vaad can calm their trigger finger, this crisis could still be solved diplomatically. But until the huge number of troops at the Allanean border are withdrawn, my troops shall remain as a deterrent.

I can see where your nation stands in all this but it's clear you haven't followed all of the situation, as which is fairly typical I suppose, it not like you need to know what caused our allies to deploy defence forces on the border.

Had you been paying attention you may have noticed that Allanea has been conducting training sessions depicting Edolian terrain and landmarks. That these excerises were "practicing" liberation on fake prisoners in mock ups of Edolian building.

Had you been paying attention you may note that Allanea has been promoting rebelion in Edolia with his new radio station. Hell, were it not for these blatant attempts to goad us into action perhaps Allanea citizens wouldn't have thought it is ok to cross the boardier and kill Edolians.

I have made it clear that I am trying to reduce forces on the border... in fact Ilek-Viad has reduced forces from the proposed amount.

Your "ally" doesn't seem to be able to stop his people from trying to kill Edolians. Or perhaps they condone such acts of terror?

You seem unwilling to admit that Allanea has done wrong here... despite the clear evidence. Meanwhile we haven't acted in agression and it shall remain like that. We will continue to defend Edolia until we feel they are safe from Allanea.

We support the statements of Iuthia and Edolia 100%. Since our great Republic was mentioned by name by the Great Mateo I would like to offer a simple and concise rebuttal. We HAVE deployed forces this week at the request of our allies to help secure the border with Allanea. The deployment of our forces comes after nearly a month that Allanea and it's allies mobilized. Ilek-Vaad has mobilized in RESPONSE to Allanea mobilizing 5 million soldiers and conducting military exercises on their border with Edolia and the Scandavian States. Had our trigger fingers been itchy, we would deployed then. We have only deployed now because a.) Allanea is inciting it's citizens to violate Edolia's sovereign territory and b.) our ally, Edolia, has become a bit tense , naturally, with millions of Edolian soldiers on their border, conducting live fire exercises that simulate storming Edolian cities and prisons.

We would also like to point out that Allanea has REFUSED mediation and attempts to find a peaceful resolution. I would appreciate if in the future that government of Great Mateo consider all of the facts at hand before making blanket condemnations. It does not reflect well on the people of Great Mateo that their leaders are so ill-informed and deploy their sons and daughters so readily to defend a nation that has acted all along as the aggressor.

I will personally meet with representatives from Great Mateo, or any nation, if that will help resolve the current crisis. I have offered this before, but have been ignored by the peaceful pacifists of Allanea. The only reason that a negotiated settlement has not been reached is because Allanea has refused to negotiate. I would suggest that Great Mateo ask why they turned down the Coreworlds mediator? Ask Allanea why they are not actively meeting with Edolian officials? Ask Allanea why they deployed their troops on Edolia's border? Ask Allanea why with millions of their soldiers poised on the border, terrorists still manage to slip past them and attack Edolia?

If Great Mateo asks these questions, and receives honest answers, I am certain that you will no longer support Allanea. We were once allies of Allanea, they paid us back sorely for our support and our friendship , and they will do the same to you, Great Mateo, given an opening.

OOC: Sorry about the OOC, but the point has to be made that Iron Blood cannot be the mediator in this situation, as pretty much all the alliance ignores him.

Even if he were to argue that Edolia doesn't ignore him the fact remains that he is concidered an enemy of the alliance. So I doubt that Edolia would IC agree for them to be the third party even if he doesn't ignore him.

Final note: Wait for all of Edolia's allies and Allanea's allies to respond to your request before you state that 3 days are up.

We are glad that Great Mateo has pulled back their deployed forces and we are sure that our allies will follow suit. Though I assume it's alright for Edolia to keep their own forces on this border for protection, after all we are still unsure about Allanea's capability to stop terrorists crossing the border.

Meanwhile I would like to note that we have never implied that the Allanea citizens are connected with the Allanea government. We have only stated that the Allanea government should be making sure that terrorists do not exist in their nation, which is true of any nation. No one has heard of Iuthian citizens commiting acts of terror; this is because we make sure that terrorists don't exist in Iuthia. So it would be in Allanea's best interest to prove to the world that they can get over their terrorist problem.

It has already been estabilished that the terrorists whom killed several Edolians are from Allanea, so we see any claim that we may have set up such attacks as invalid.

We will pull back our TWO THOUSAND Red Jaguar currently deployed since they apparently terrify the FIVE MILLION Allanean forces and the Great Mateo forces. This is exactly what I meant when I pointed to Ilek Vaad as escalating this situation. Earlier, Ilek Vaad was the first to deploy large troop amounts. Now, another chance for peace rolls around, I pull back my troops, and temporarily suspend the shipments of supplies and troops coming in, and he continues to muster his forces, and then attempts to taunt Allanea and myself by saying we're terrified of 2,000 of his troops? Edolia, control your allies.

Aggression, this fateful word is defined as a behavior, a behavior that Allanea, not the UnAPS, has represented time and time again. "The practice or habit of launching attacks", or "The act of initiating hostilities or invasion" - take your pick, that is what Aggression is. The defense of a nation's internationally recognized border by legal means is not aggression, nor is the application of justice according to a nation's fully publicized code of law anywhere near an act initiating hostilities. Aggression is sending millions of troops to another nation's border. Aggression is allowing and supporting acts of terrorism against another nation - acts perpetrated by innocent and impressionable youth nonetheless. That is not just aggression, that is also immoral and evil. How this nation, the Great Mateo, can confuse anything the peaceful nation of Edolia and its esteemed allies undertake with the despicable acts of a rogue nation is beyond comprehension. However, there is still time to rectify this blunder, and prevent a serious miscalculation that will push us closer to the brink of war than in all the days, months, weeks and years leading upto this current misunderstanding. We, the Republic of Agrigento, ask, plead and outright demand that Great Mateo reviews the current situation and removes their troops accordingly. This is exactly what I meant when I pointed to Ilek Vaad as escalating this situation. Earlier, Ilek Vaad was the first to deploy large troop amounts, and he was, I believe, quoted as saying "Oooh, I love stirring things up."

Meanwhile you may want to look at the OOC tag next to "Oooh, I love stirring things up." he didn't say it in character. If we were to pay attention to OOC comments we could quote Allanea many times says he wants to invade... but all such comments were made OOC.

We are not the ones who invade others for purely idealogical reasons. Our forces have pulled back from the border as Great Mateo requested. We will continue to boost the numbers of our Retliatory Guard in Axackal until troop deployments by Great Mateo, Allanea and any other nations are gone from our Allies border.

I was pointing out , by highlighting the numbers of forces (i.e. FIVE MILLION for Allanea and it's 'peaceful' friends' and TWO THOUSAND by us the obvious hateful warmongering Ilek-Vaad. The POINT IS that Allanea and it's allies have roughly FIVE HUNDRED TIMES the forces in the area. Now I ask objectively , who is being the aggressor?

Since the Imperium's deployed forces are inside its own territory near the Axackal border, we do not feel we would be undermining the peace process by reinforcing Second Army. The Marine II Corp (280th Armoured, 295th Armoured, and 185th Mechanized), III Corp (9th and 25th Airborne), Marine Special Operations Command (97th, 110th, 170th, and 294th Kraft Opklaring Regiments), and elements of the Army Special Operations Command (29th, 257th, 291st, 541st Fallskarmsjagarna Regiments) will be moved to reinforce the Imperial Second Army as well as the 150,000 Feline troops deployed in the area. House formations will take over Imperial Marine duty stations while the newly deployed divisions are away.

The Imperial Government would like to remind all involved parties that it is well within our right to deploy our own forces within our borders as we see fit and any move to counter such legal deployments can only be seen as aggressive in nature.

Ilek-Vaad is also deploying 2 more Red Jaguar Command Battalions to facilitate chain of command and logistical support. Being sent are the 2nd and 12th Red Jaguar Command consisting of 4,000 Red Jaguar Commandos and 400 Chok-Mool super heavy battle tanks. They will (as all our forces currently are) respect the 400 mile limit and remain back from the border. Reserve formations have been called up to relieve House units manning stations that were previously the concern of units now deployed in Dublin. We will be sending 1,000 of our Kralj Tigars to Allanea, along with 2,500 Infantry, to prevent a quick steamroll by tanks. Clearly we wish for this conflict to be solved peacefully, but as Iron Blood said, obviously thats not possible with 40,000 tanks on a border.
