Iraqi forces enter Saudi Arabia; Kuwait

27-03-2004, 21:14
For the third time in its history, Al Anbar was entering Kuwait. They had entered it in 1990, Feb. 2004, and now again, in March. The Kuwaitis as always, had been unprepared to fend off an assault from the massive Al Anbar military. The Kuwaiti government, led by dictator Sheikh Saad al-Abdullah al-Sabah, had also been in trouble with his own people. Since the seizure of Lebanon, and the major role Al Anbar played in freeing Palestine from Israel, the Kuwaiti public had been in support of uniting with Al Anbar, somewhat. They wanted to have an autonomous region with Al Anbar, but still be apart of Al Anbar. They would not get their wish.

Early in the morning of 27 March 2004, five Iraqi Republican Guard divisions, 3 Armored, 3 Mechanized, rushed over the border and forced their way southward under light resistance from the Kuwaiti army, police, and paramilitaries that had been only activated fourteen hours earlier. By mid-day on the 27th, they were in complete control of Kuwait City and the rest of the country.

At approximately the same time of the attack on Kuwait, a second attack took place. Iraqi 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and four independent divisions assaulted across the Iraq-Saudi border. They quickly seized the border cities of An Nabk, Sakakah, al-Jawf, 'Ar'ar, Rafhah, Hafar al-Batin, Ra'as al-Khafji, and had seized the majority of the coastline city of al-Jubayl. Iraqi airforce bombed positions of resistance and had initiated four raids on Riyadh, destroying government buildings and the palace.

Saudi forces had also been surprised, much to Saddam's delight. They had been pretending to be focusing on Kuwait only, and had forces a sufficent number of kilometers away from the Saudi border in order to avoid suspicion.

Iraqi forces continued to move southward, facing little resistance and capturing substantial amounts of Saudi equipment. The King Khalid Military City, some thirty kilometres from the Iraqi-Saudi border was captured with moderate fighting. Approximately 75 M1A1 tanks were captured and several APCs and other equipment were captured along with approximately 1,125 Saudi soldiers.

Iraqi forces have also continued their blitzkrieg war on other fronts. On the eastern coast, Iraqi forces have captured all of the coastline cities until ad-Dammam and then moved inward, seizing Abqiaq, al-Mubarraf, and engaging into heavy fighting within the city of al-Hufuf. Saudi soldiers are apparently making a stand at al-Hufuf, along the main highway into Riyadh.

On the west coast, Iraqi forces have entered all coastline cities up to Badr Hunayn. They have also encircled Medina on three sides and have sent emissaries to the Saudi soldiers that have retreated into the holy city to "surrender instead of allowing damage come to the holy city." Saudi soldiers have yet to respond.

In the centre, Iraqi forces have formed a line going from Afif to ad-Dawadimi to Shaqra to al-Mubarraz. They are preparing to move on Riyadh from the north.

Meanwhile, Iraqi aircraft bombed the Saudi television buildings, the Ministry of Information, and a the main Saudi radiostation in Riyadh, effectively destroying the Saudi mass media in the airwaves.

today in response to Al Anbar's actions in the middleeast and gross human rights violations by Saddam Hussien, over 800,000 army reservists, 450,000 navy reservists, and 750,000 air force reservists have been called to active duty and Secretary General Brezhnekov calls on the Parliament to authorize the use of force against Al Anbar.
Meantime, the Foriegn Minister is now making his rounds in NS to gather together a coalition of nations to oppose Al Anbar.

Iraqi forces have started to assault Riyadh from the north. Iraqi forces have total air superiority, and bomb Saudi targets, although not always with great percision. A massive two-part assault on Riyadh has begun. Over 65,000 men with hundreds of tanks and APCs have begun to crush the resistance in the city of al-Hufuf, and are quickly breaking through towards the capital.

The other attack comes from the city of Shaqra, with approximately 62,000 men and hundreds of tanks and APCs. They have had very little resistance in the desert and have continued to move onto Riyadh. Advanced collumns are already only 13km away from the centre of the city.

Private Communique, Saddam Hussein, Al Anbar

Eredron has received and confirmed the news of the Al Anbar military offensive against the independent national entities of Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. While Eredron has, in the past, and remained neutral and allowed Al Anbar considerable freedom, this latest act of aggression demands an official Eredronian response.

Eredron considers the unjustified invasion of Kuwait and Saudi Arabia a grave course of action, and one made for the sole intent of achieving total political, military and economic dominance in the 'Middle East' region. The military campaigns carried out by Al Anbar cause further destabilization, and threaten to interfere with global commerce with the region.

Eredron urges an immediate halt to Al Anbar's military aggression, and a mediated return to the status quo. Further aggression will be viewed unfavorably by the Eredron government.

Iraqi forces have continued to force their way southward and westward.

Iraqi forces have now entered the last village on the road to Riyadh, and have seized the Riyadh International Airport just on the outskirts of the city. Fighting was heavy at the airport, where there was a stand by a few hundred members of the Royal Guard, but they were wiped aside by the heavier elements of the advancing Iraqi forces.

In the west, Iraqi forces have finally crushed the last remaining resistance in al-Hufuf and are about fifteen kilometers from the city.

In Medina, Saudi forces did not respond to the surrender notice. When it expired, Iraqi forces cautiously entered the city and received no resistance from the Saudi Army, which had apparently dissolved into the population. The only resistance came from one Saudi Royal Soldier who was attempting to run away. He fired on Iraqi forces who returned an overwhelming amount of fire.

Along the coast, Iraqi forces seized the cities of Jeddah and entered Mecca triumphately with no resistance. They have continued their southward dash.

The Eredron Ministry of State has released a statement urging all Eredronian civilians to leave the Middle East region if necessary, or move to the friendly nation of Al Khals.
