al-Qaeda issues ultimatum to Western and secular powers

27-03-2004, 01:25
Osama Bin Laden, flanked on the right by military commander Massoud, on the left by top advisor al-Zawahiri, appeared on international Al-Jazeera television today to issue an ultimatum to various governments.

"The past weeks have been great fatahs [victories] for Islam and al-Qaeda. We took the war and the fear to the camps of our enemies. The civilians of our enemies learned the fear that burns in the hearts of many Arabs today.
Today, our ultimatum is issued to the infidel.

Feazanthia: You have issued a challenge, and failed to materialize. This is called cowardice. Remove your condemnal of al-Qaeda, or show what you are made of. If you choose to continue issuing hollow threats, our mujihadeen will fill them for you.

Kikoskriat: Your position is much the same as Feazanthia. Heed their advice well. Your mockery of al-Qaeda's might will be dispelled soon enough.

Al-Anbar: Saddam Hussein, your reign of tyranny over the people of Iraq and Syria must be ended. You have had only a taste of what al-Qaeda can do. Fail to comply will result in more pieces of your reign destroyed.

America: Remove your forces from the Holy Land; remove your support from Israel.

Pakistan: Stop supporting the infidel. Your army will soon feel our might should you fail to comply.

Fluffywuffy: Your condemnation of al-Qaeda's jihad must be withdrawn.

I believe all of the infidel nations are aware of the consequences of defying al-Qaeda. Allah Akbar!

We will provide support to whoever wishes to destroy this scum, and we will quite clearly make our intentions known. Attack us, and by the time we finish with you, you and your followers will get to know precisely what happens to people like you on judgement day.

OOC: To whom were you replying to IC character, me or The Freethinkers?
27-03-2004, 01:50
The four militants were completely calm as they pulled off a one-time border sneak into Freethinker territory. Driving their inconspicuous car to the most populated area they could find was not a problem. Immediately they pulled out their prized weapon: an Kalashnikov they had got off a killed Russian. Moving their jeep closer and closer to the Freethinker mall , they immediately sprung into action. The Ak-47 tac tac tac went off as they crashed their car into the mall, bullets spraying into civilians around. They lept out just as the truck went careening through the store, finally exploding with the relatively small amount of TNT in it. They continued fire, their AK-47s going off until huge numbers of police overwhelmed them. All around them, dead or injured people lay moaning for help.

OOC: I was replying to everyone that refused the ultimatum.
Tyrandis
27-03-2004, 01:54
The Senate of Tyrandis merely chuckles at these empty threats, as Al-Qaeda's infastructure and manpower have been virtually wiped out by airstrikes by other nations. We have authorized the deployment of the 83rd Air Assault Division against the terrorist network. After they have completed slaughtering your jihadis by the thousand, they can wipe the sweat from their brows with the towelettes you pathetic fools wear.

Also, we will broadcast the resulting carnage on live television, and will sell commercial-free tapes of the program for free.

Don't bother trying to attack our citizenry, as all citizens are barcoded and any human attempting to enter our borders w/o a ID code is immediately executed with extreme prejudice.

Yours derisively,

OOC: Now, generally, there is no way in hell that could have happened. Aside from the fact the Freethinkers live on a seperate island, all cars incoming are checked (thanks to heightened security whilst building the Doujin) and most likely, you would not be allowed in a car that close to a mall anyway. Nonetheless, Ill let that attack stand, simply because I want a quick but good RP. But keep your attacks relatively realistic from now on. But security and prevention are strnger in the Freethinkers than in the current US, please remember that.

....."Eight people confirmed dead....dozens injured, widespread panic...choas, blood everywhere, people running all..."
The PM turned the TV off, cutting the image and sound dead, and turned to address the table of seated suits and military top brass at the long table in front of him. All looked somber, all looked depressed.
The PM looked at each of them, then sighed and looked down at his own shaking hands.
"Who is responsible?"
"Has all the hallmarks of Al-Queada fundementalists, possibly after your speech yesterday." The speaker was a woman, Amanda Harton, Minister of Intelligence. Her short black hair and small eyes filled the PM's vision. Her worried face echoed his own.
"How did they..I mean...security..."
"Was unlucky, I will investigate, of course." The PM nodded.
"Retaliation?"
"Whatever network they had has now disbanded, as far as we can tell, there will be no more attacks for a while, at least until they try to get back into the country." The PM nodded again, and turned to the man bedecked in a uniform so laden in medals it jingled slightly with every breath.
"And, General Robertson?"
"Full recall....we've decided the best bet is full military retaliation against all known bases. The first battlegroup has been put on standby, and Ive called up the Pathfinders and the Foreign Expeditionary Force." The PM grinned slightly, black humor. Anyone who knew these forces would know why.

Hattia condemns any group that uses terrorism to gain it's objectives. We are detaining all known members of Al-Qaeda inside Hattia's borders. We also send our condolences to the Freethinkers.

OOC: Now, weapons ownership in Hattia is compulsory (generally people carry pistols, except in the more dangerous north, were it isn't uncommon to see people with AKs walking down the street), it is an issue you know. Of course, citizens will generally try to run first.
27-03-2004, 02:39
Could everyone with reasonable security (IE not "EVERY CITIZEN HAZ BUZOOOKA!!!!!1 or WWE SHOOT EVERY1 COOMING N!!111) please applaud themselves for their RP skills.

al-Farooq and his six comrades had an extremely difficult time making it through Hattian security, thanks to the rise in security measures after al-Qaeda attacks had hit major nations. However, due to his and his friends ethnic makeup (White, blond hair, blue eyes), they were let past while the guard was preoccupied with an Arab who probably was innocent. They moved quickly to their preordained location, where they acquired the weapons from personnnel who had been in Hattia for many times and, obviously, had many guns at their disposal. The explosives had been brought in with them. They drove the C3/TNT loaded truck into a govermental facility outside one of the cities. When security personnel asked for their proper identification, they revved up the gas, while one of the members gunned the guards down with an Uzi. The truck got close enough before being shot down where the massive explosion affecte approximately half the building. Allah Akbar were his last words.

Ministry of Interior: Severnaya

Director Morozov was at his desk, filling out some obscure form that was required to keep the massive bureacracy that was the Hattian government running. He heard gunshots outside of the building. He stood up and looked outside, and was greeted with the sight of a truck speeding straight at his office. "Damn!" he made a run for the door. He heard the distinctive sound of an RPG being fired and then a huge explosion. The shockwave picked him up and flung him through the nearby wall and into a metal blast door. He tried to get up, but his body was broken. He layed back down and blacked out...

Captain Nader ul-Haq slowly moved his line of trucks towards a customs area. He contemplated simply slamming straight through it and hoping for the best, but decided he may as well try to get through undetected as an attempt. The former approach should be used in the case of discovery. He moved up his convoy and awaited questioning and inspections.

Little did ul-Haq know he was part of an al-Qaeda ruse.

1)Terror Alert to Level 4(of a 5 level system)
2) All miltary bases to FPCON Charlie(Force Protection 3 the highest of a 3 level system)
3)Air Dominance is established over homeland airspace.
4)USN Naval forces are deployed in a picket line across USN waters.

Light infantry troops. EastBorder Checkpoint has a 100 Marines with 3 frigates and 10 light attack boats supportting.
6) The rest of the border is watched via J-Star and AWACS. AH-64 Apaches fly patrol along the border

As to not alarm the people AAA and SAM sites have not been set up in cities except for the capital. Mobile sites are set in the countryside.

"Your threats are fruitless. Even if you could get to us, even if you did kill, even if 3 dozen innocents fell to your gangsters, it wouldn't matter. I have hundreds of millions, even billions, of supporters, and we will just simply kill you. You are a bug, a moth, a minor annoyance. Nothing more."

ul-Haq's completely calm face was intact as he stepped out of the first track, but with a swift word in Arabic to his friend in the other side, all hell broke loose. He pulled out a powerful pistol from his robes and shot the officer looking at him in the head. Immediately al-Qaeda operatives pulled the AK-47s out and engaged police as all the trucks revved up and surged forward, regardless of obstacles in the way. ul-Haq was, of course, gunned down, but not before his expertly trained hand fired off many shots.

A massive explosion blew up the customs area, increasing the death toll to over 100 and the anger level of the citizens to damned near the boiling point. Fire trucks howled to the scene and started putting out the fires.
I paced back and forth, trying to decide what to do. "So the think that we don't retaliate, eh? Yusuke, what assets do we have in the Indian Ocean?"

"Well, we have the Firestorm carrier group doing maneuvers with the US Abraham Lincoln group. Recommend we use them."

"Very well. Spin them up, and have them search for targets in that area."

"Right away!"

Aboard the Firestorm, pilots ran to their fighters and readied to unleash their anger and bombs on the terrorist camps in the mountains. A squadron of F/A-18 Super Hornets lifted off and headed towards the mountains. A satellite was pushed to the area to give further targeting details for the attack fighters.

They will then move up into the mountains and scout out any cave entrences and bunkers and the like. They will then mark the positions with a special paint which is like a giant beacon for planes, and is yet very hard to see visually.
