After speaking with Credonian political advisors, Emperor Sutton has decided to allow a select few Austian refugees into the country. The Emperor had this to say today:
"Credonia along with the rest of the world are very aware of the situation brewing in Aust. The world is aware that a new and oppressive regime has taken control and has ruthlessly murdered the young emperor in cold blood. This new regime has bent the truth and has detracted nations from finding out the truth by spreading more lies. Credonia realizes there is a divide within Aust between the citizens. Some are loyal to the new government whilst others want to leave the country because they are scared for their lives. This nation has stood by for too long and has done too litle to help these people and correct the wrong that has been done. Today, that will change. At this time, we will accept only 500 Austian refugees. Austians who wish to come to Credonia will need to contact the Credonian State Department and ask for political assylum. Refugees coming from Aust will be naturalized, given $25,000 and all the necessities they need to begin their new life as a Credonian citizen. Those who are scientists, university professors, or political figures will be given a job working for a Credonian institution upon their request, however, that request must be made before arriving in Credonia."
At this time, the Emperor has not made mention of what further actions will take place in the future, however, he stated "While we are attaining peace on all fronts, Credonia will not sit back and allow this to go on without justice being done. I will be contating leaders of the nations currently opposing the current Austian regime's actions in order to find a solution to the problem. A peaceful solution must be found to stop this and prevent such events from happening again in the future."
