Even if you "speed up" the HIV, it doesn't kill on its own, it only invades and destroys the immune system, and makes the person susceptible to many different infections. In the past, most deaths were inflicted by tuberculosis and other serious infectious deceases. Most of them are now treated and turned into cronic mild deceases, as it is also the over growth of HIV in blood with drugs, which can make infected people live quite a long life if treated in time.

To make it a bacteriological weapon (reallistically) you would have to combine it with a lethal virus or bacteria, and as you say most of your b-arsenal has been neutralized, you'd have to come up with something new anyway. And that if you don't count on anyone coming up with a cure or at least a way of lowering the lethality of the decease, what is posible since you seem to be RPing nearby-future tech.

The protest of Clanicka is for the same reason I posted the OOC message before, HIV cannot be used as a biological weapon as other virus and bacteria can. I like to think that even if this is a game, good players try to keep things realistic.

And Huzen Hegan, listen to me. If you do not stop immediatly, I will lead a coaliation against your land.. even though we were talking about an alliance. HIV / Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome is not something to mess with. Already it is a world wide epidemic (not so much in Doujin, luckily) and has a severe infection rate. Release of HIV as a weapon would not only be ineffective, as HIV itself cannot (I don't care how good your pathologists are) do damage, the syndrome it induces (Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome) does severe damage. And the thing is.. only ONE person needs to get out of the intended combat area.. if you lower the incubation time for HIV and allow it to instantly give people AIDS.. then think whati t would do to the world?

If yu read again i am crossing several viruses to create a 'super virus' that has the ability to infect swathes of peole withind days and then kill them all to prevent further outbreaks. Where did you hear this bit about a 5th letter iRL? We're no where near that level of biotech(besides, wouldn't you have to add a 6th to go with the 5th? Anyway, the potential for mutation is there, and in fact, that is what makes AIDS(or the common cold, for that matter) so hard to treat; it's always mutating. And an incubation/infectout perod of days is plenty of time to start a pandemic; if mutation legnthened it, it would only spread faster.
