Today General Lennart Torstensson announced that the first three of what are called "Ragnarok Guns" have entered service. At 100 million a piece, they're huge 50" guns carved into the dormant volcanoes of the Black Sands Iles. Ten foot thick blast doors are what seals these guns from the outside world and are capable of laughing off anything short of a direct hit from a nuclear weapon. Torstensson claims that it's possible to get the shells into a slingshot orbit in order to give them an intercontinental range. When asked what the range was for in-atmosphere shelling, he was quoted as saying, "The Allanean capital is definately in range."
