It's hard to have your NationStates homeland based on a real life location. There are barely any maps depicting the archipelago on the internet, particularly of Ostrova Vrangelya, which is six hundred (600) miles northwest of Saint Lawrence Island, some one hundred twentyfive (125) miles north of the Siberian coast.

Yes. Probably why a lot of nations use it.
Just known enough for people to have heard of it, unknown enough to get away with it a lot.

A lot? I don't know. I have not yet seen a nation, other than one who took off his claim after I said it was my homeland, that actually has it in his lands/claims it as his own. Though, this is NationStates, and there are "parallel" universes.

I've seen a few with that name, or obvious corruptions of it. It's no big deal, just an observation.

It wouldn't make a difference whether or not the bomb went off there with regard to your nation (It was nearly 50 years ago), just an interesting part of your nations history.

Sorry to break it to you, but Zvarinograd has the protection of some very large nations, and I could most likely get the Communist International involved to scare you off as well.
