East Hudecian Revolt

Hudecia

Hudecian Broadcaster (HB)

A unshaved broadcaster is seen adjusting his tie as the program starts. Realizing that he is on he quickly tries to straighten his hair before giving up and beginning.

"The past 24 hours have been possible the most tumultuous in Hudecian history. After the resounding defeat of Anderson's Fascist Party in the presidential and parliamentary elections by the Liberal Maetova and Conservative MacNally, respectively, East Hudecia has erupted in violence with military bases being destroyed and the important naval facility of Pila under seige."

"This will be the final broadcast of HB as our headquarters in Pila is currently in the path of the conflict." (shells are heard exploding in the background)

"Despite the brave actions of our troops, the rebels are continuing to push forward and it now seems inevitable that Pila will fall." (explosions come closer)

"And so, we say ... farewell.. and God help us..." (screen goes black)
23-03-2004, 16:53
Heavily armed rioters skirmish with the tattered remains of the Hudecian 3rd Marines as they push downtown. Anderson takes up position in a hotel to organize his troops.

"Currently we have almost 30 000 troops here in Pila. The Hudecian 3rd has less than 2 000. We estimate that over 1 000 have been killed and 1500 wounded in the past day of fighting. Reinforcements will not arrive here until Friday at the earliest... which gives us 2 days to finish them off." Anderson plotted aloud.

"What about the 400 prisoners we have taken?" One officer asked. Anderson paused to think.

"Kill all who come, and they will stop coming." Anderson replied at last.

Newly elected president Maetova stormed down the hallowed hallways with Conservative leader MacNally in tow.

"Something must be done now!" She ranted. "Why wasn't the military better prepared for this?"

"Ma'am, cuts to the military have left much of our land force inept. We only have a few special ops and they are off being trained." General Praha replied. Maetova glared at him, knowing that she was the one who ordered the cuts.

"Moreover ma'am, if we send the army in it may antagonize our own population which is on the verge of revolt as is." MacNally added.

"I thought you were a conservative!" Maetova screamed.

"I am, but sometimes brute strength is not needed... if we kill the shephard, the sheep will scatter." MacNally said quietly but firmly.

"Go on...."

"Some of our allies have highly developed special ops. If we could tap into those resources we could launch a quick decisive strike and round up Anerson and his fascist cronies." MacNally explained.

"And without any firm leadership the riots would peter out." Foreign Minister Matsuda continued. "But first we need to contact our allies."

Hudecian 3rd Divisionary Marines make a bold stand at the edge of the downtown area of Pila.

Using M1A2 Abrams and shells from the Iowa class battleships off shore they devastate huge swaths of the city in an attempt to slow or stop the advance.

Message:
The Armed republic of Bree Tonia has taken note of the current 'conflict zone' within your nation. I would like to express my concern for your political stability. My nation has decided to offer you military support, and as you are interested in spec ops, i would like to suggest an amphibious fleet of 20 LCACs to deliver a stated number of my armed police response unit (APRU) to your nation and assist in peace-keeping. My LMSR(roll on/roll off) ships are equipped with a fair few MBTs and APCs, also a number of MLRS trucks and self-propelled artillery. My navy is also on defcon3, although it could arrive at the borders of your nation within 48 hours NS time. I am capable for guided missile strikes from my ships although i only will have 4 submersibles available. I hope to hear from you and hope that you seriouly consider my offer.
Yours sincerely,

"Sir...remember that possible facist revolution in Hudecia?"

"Ah."

----------------

Our great allies in Hudecia,

We would wish nothing more than to dispatch a military force to destroy the Neo Facist rebels and restore order. Unfortunately, our military is not able to extend to another theatre at the moment.

However, we realize that you need help. In addition to our full political support for the original Hudecian government, we have relayed to our intelligence networks the message and they will be working overtime for information within the Facist leadership circles.

Also in addition to this, we intend to send in 250 marines to secure and fortify airbase, another some 100 soldiers to ensure the safety of our embassy in Hudecia (assuming we have one), and send an unspecified amount of special operations forces into your nation, as well as individual operatives to help take out leadership.

Finally, at this airbase where we intend to deploy our several hundred soldiers, we will send aircraft, although which aircraft to send is not determined yet.

We would like you to list out more detailed information regarding their capabilities - for instance, have they any aircraft? Any navy?

Best of luck,
The Zoogie People

"Mr. President, we've just got reports that there is a fascist revolt in Hudecia. It looks like they are about to take Pila."

"Why are there so many fascist revolts going on with our allies? Alright, I want to get a message to President Maetova."

At present the East Hudecian army is bearing down on our most vital seaport, Pila. The capital is still secure as our army is quickly being mobilzed.

However, Pila seems doomed to fall soon and the Hudecian Navy will be forced to relocate quickly.

At present, the East Hudecian army has raided several army depots and has stolen almost 250 000 M16s, 50 F18 Hornets, 200 Humvees and almost 100 M1A2 Abrams. The rebellion has no navy at present.

PILA ON VERGE OF COLLAPSE : MILITARY SPOKESPERSON

HP: The government of Maetova has been slow to respond militarily to the growing rebellion which has engulfed all of East Hudecia and threatens the important naval facility at Pila which have been producing the Halifax and Province Destroyers.

"Sir, the government forces are retreating from Pila! Congratulations!" A colonel reported excitedly to Anderson.

"Now the Hudecian government will negotiate, I know Liberals, after this defeat the public will be screaming for peace." Anderson said thoughtfully. "But the conservative leader MacNally worries me... we'll have to 'take care' of him."

"What about the Tiboritian forces that will be arriving?"

"I have a surprise for them..."
25-03-2004, 16:31
The bombed out headquarters of the Hudecian 3rd Marines was the scene of jubilation as reports of the Hudecian army being driven completely from Pila emerged.

The Hudecian navy seemed to limp away from Pila. The drydocks where 2 destroyers were almost completed remained intact... the Hudecian navy saw them as too valuable to destroy. Even if it meant giving them up to the rebels.

The 5th largest city of Hudecia, Dobre, was now threatened by the rebel advance. With the reorganization of the East Hudecian army and the capture of the naval ports, they need now only to secure a major airfield.

Dobre is the home of the 2nd Air Defence Corps, with nearly 300 fighters and over 100 helicopters stationed there.

Help is on the way. The 11th Airborne can start landing as soon as I know which city has a suitable airfield. I would also like to know which bases I can start sending Tiboritian Air Defense Forces to. Additionally, Two carrier battle groups, along with the 1st armor division is on route to Hudecia.

Rest assured, this government fully supports the elected government of Hudecia, and will stop at nothing to assure that the people of Hudecia are governed by their chosen government.

In a televised address today, President William Ciel announced Zoogiedom forces going into Hudecia.

----------------------------------

"In the light of recent tensions and fighting in the nation of Hudecia, we feel that it is in our best interests to protect our territory and defend our citizens. One hundred marines have been sent overseas to Hudecia, to ensure the safety of the Zoogie Embassy there.

"Two hundred and fifty more marines are being sent over as peacekeepers. These marines will try to prevent fighting...but if it comes to war, they will be ready."

-----------------------------------

"Sir, I really don't think you should do this..."

"Believe me, Brian," said the president to his defense minister. "This situation in Hudecia is going to get out of hand. We have to - "

"I realize that, sir, but we can not overextend our military!" Brian shuddered involuntarly, remembering the dark days of the past.

"We will not be. The navy is pulling out of Hogsweat as we speak...Hogsweat is secured save the capital, and our army has already lessened in numbers than originally planned there...that situation is dwindling, as you have said it would."

"That's true...but I warn you, this Vlaszly character...he's going to go out with a bang. Damn facists."

"Never mind that. Neif Group is coming home. And elements of the sixth fleet will go overseas. Where is the Sixth Fleet now?"

"The sixth fleet....they're down on the bottom side of Penguisiana, just before deploying on a planned world tour."

"Excellent."

"Are you sure about this, sir?"

"Oh yes. There is nothing more important right now in this Hudecian situation to knock those rebel F-18s out of the air. Don't you agree?"

"Yes, I agree with that. Tiboritia will almost certainly take care of them, but the rebels are seizing more and more...if these F-18s are indeed of the E/F model, then...we had better hope Tiboritia's Gripen pilots are all aces. Hell, Superhornets would give us a lot to handle as well."

"Right. And of course, there's more to the carrier group that air superiority, isn't there?"

"That's right."

Greetings, it has come to my attention that a ship carrying cargo of vital importance to the well being of Equites Templi has encountered some difficulty in while docked at your port in Pila. The ship's name is the Icarus, we lost contact with it several hours ago, we believe that it has been taken by a group of well armed criminals. The government of Equites Templi must request that you resolve this situation immeadiatly; we do not wish to intervene in your affairs, but we will if we must. I cannot impress upon you enough the importance of the cargo on that ship, the nation of Equites Templi is not above negotiating with terrorists, if you cannot solve this problem in good time, we may be forced to make a deal with these terrorists; we would like to avoid such a situation if at all possible.

The PRS is most concerned by this violent rebellion in Hudecia. We continue to acknowledge the democratically elected government of Hudecia as the rightful authority, selected by the people, and thus we ask the rebel forces to cease their insurgency and approach their difficulties from a different, less belligerent perspective. We urge both sides to do everything in their power to minimize and prevent damage and loss of life, and to make attempts at starting peaceful dialogue so that a mutually-satisfactory solution can be found.

While the PRS considers itself a friend of the nation of Hudecia, we are hesitant to deploy our military assets into an internal conflict unless requested, and found absolutely neccessary. However, we could provide assistance in a less direct manner. Hudecia currently has forces assisting in the reconstruction of Japann. Due to geographic proximity, it would be a simple matter for the PRS to temporarily assume Hudecia's Japann duties, allowing Hudecian forces there to be brought home until the crisis is resolved.

"Sir, we're within sight of Dobre." The corporal yelled to the colonel over the roar of the M1A2's engine. The colonel popped the hatch and watched as hundreds of bright lights zoomed by the tank column overhead.

"Sir, my radar is going nuts, I've got hundreds, maybe thousands of aircraft right above us."

"That's the 2nd and 3rd Air Corps." The colonel yelled down to the radar operator. "And there's only about 200."

***************************************************

"Eagle squadron leader, this is Wolf Squadron leader, I've got incoming boggies... requesting permission to open fire."

"Hold you fire Wolf squadron leader.... Unknown boggies, this is the Hudecian Air Defence Corps Flight Leader Annotvae, descend to 200 m and await further instructions... 1...2...3... alright Wolf squadron leader boggies are not responding."

"All units open fire!"

The night sky was once again lit up by all sorts of fire... SAM sites on the ground fired rockets in defence, AA guns blasted the sky, Avro Arrow fighter bombers and A-10s attacked any ground target available.

***********************************

The group slid silently into Pila while bombs rained down elsewhere. They passed the heavily guarded Equites Templi vessel, pausing to make an intel observation.

They moved stealthily through the ruined downtown. Their target, the Pila Hilton Hotel, was less than a kilometre away. Operation Guillotine was proceeding.
26-03-2004, 14:59
The soldiers on board the Equites Templi vessel rifled through the belongings of the sailors. Most of the crewmembers were killed when the troops boarded the ship, thinking that the ship was supporting Hudecia.

"Well, well, what do we have here?" The commander asked as he broke the lock to get into the storage bay. "Bring one of the crewmembers to me.. make sure he is alive... but he doesn't have to be unharmed."

***************************************

East Hudecian forces fell back as the overwhelming onslaught of F-22s, F-36Ts and Avro Arrow's flooded the area and annhilated the F-18s. Not without making the Hudecians pay for it with blood. By all estimates, 27 E. Hudecian fighters were shot down, 137 SAM sites and missile batteries were destroyed, and 119 M1A2 tanks were obliterated. Hudecian casualites included 57 F-18s, 19 F-22s, 7 F-36Ts, and even 3 of the famed Avro Arrows.

"They had WHAT?!" The foreign minister's voice could be heard throughout the bunker. "On ships in Hudecian ports? You are kidding me!"

"Sir we are scrambling our over three squadrons of fighters and bombers to take out the threat." The chief of staff replied sheepishly.

"Increase that to 10 and I'll be happy! I don't care what you do ... level the city if you have to. But destroy those bombs!"

******************************************

"So, where did you get these?" The commander sneered at the Templis' first mate. "And what were you doing with them here?"

He put his boot on the sailor's bullet ridden left leg and pressed down slowly on the wound.

*****************************************

The special ops were in black out mode, unaware of the crisis developing. They moved to within sight range of the heavily guarded headquarters.

"Seems more like a suicide mission to be frank sir."

"We'll get support, besides, most of the troops are busy outside of Dobre, Pila is relatively empty."

According to our intelligence networks and sources, you have sailed a ship into Hudecia's port in Pila, a ship which contains nuclear weapons. You are also threatening to negotiate with terrorists...know this: nations sailing nukes into allied harbours threatening to help bring down order in their nations does not go well with Zoogiedom. Your message has been received, its belligerence duly noted. The Icarus was forced into the Hudecian port at Pila after undergoing engine trouble, the ship was operating covertly and was unaware of the situation in Hudecia when it entered port. When it arrived it was held there by the local authorities. The ship was armed in case it was attacked. The nation of Equites Templi does not support terrorist organizations such as the facists of East Hudecia, but Equites Templi will never close off its options. In this case the Defense Department has determined that negotiation with the East Hudecia facist organizations would be imprudent and recognizes the necessity of destroying the Icarus. Again, in the spirit of cooperation, we feel that we must inform key coalition members that the tracking beacon on one of the topeadoes has been shut down indicating that it may have already been moved or will be moved soon. Further information will come on a need to know basis only.

The Hudecian special ops snuck up to the side of the Hilton. Most of the E. Hudecian guards were occupied either watching the downtown section go up in flames or fleeing the area. Hudecian bombers and fighters made repeated sorties at any and all targets in the downtown area.

"I didn't know they had this type of 'distraction' in mind, when they told me they'd set up a 'demonstration' to help up get in unoticed." The squad leader whispered to his sargeant. "Alright, all teams move out!"

With that, the special forces entered the 10-storey building.
