“Ladies and gentlemen of the Grand Duchy, friends, allies, and nations of the APFS; I come to you under less than perfect circumstances. Terrorists from the Eastern Liberation Movement have attacked sovereign Hamptonian soil and have killed Hamptonian citizens. These criminals have done this because of our current peacekeeping duties in Soigacas. It is because we have taken the lead and have assumed responsibility for the reconstruction and democratization of Soigacas that we have been target first. However, all indications show that they will not stop with us. They intend to target the civilian populations of all the nations that have pledged to help rebuild Soigacas after that nation’s unconditional surrender.

I cannot speak for the governments of the other nations, but I can speak for this one. We will not back down. We will not shrink and disappear because of terrorist strikes. The ELM was right when it said that we will not risk the lives of our people. The principle duty of this government is the well being of the people. The ELM was mortally wrong if they think we will back down. If we appease the terrorists this time, what about next time? Our foreign and domestic policies would be dictated by bombs and thugs. We will fight now so that our children will have peace in the future.

Perhaps the ELM thought it could intimidate a small nation such as ourselves. Perhaps they thought that we would be too spread out with our duties in Soigacas to both continue in the APFS and fight the ELM. They were wrong. We will continue rebuilding Soigacas and we will hunt the terrorists.
