Today President Mike Allen submitted his resignation from the United Nations, and announced his plans for an increased production of weapon stockpiles, along with new warships and other miscellanious military spending.
"The Confederate States of Big Long Now need not comply with the oppressive rules of the United Nations! We need to increase our military spending to defend ourselves from attack, we will no longer be a nation who will have limited possibilities of defensive strategy! Our citizens shall be protected by any means necessary, not killed like animals!" said President Allen in an address to the nation earlier today.
His plans include a 45% increase in military spending, with a plan for 25 warships within the next ten to fifteen years.
When asked about his position on being the offensive in an attack he replied, "I have no plans to attack any other nations unless they fire the first shot, or if they are a threat to the people of my nation."
