This week in the news, The Federation of Kuppo is proud to inform its citizens that it has just been accepted into the UN, The small 3rd world nation will strive to be a vital member of the United Nations. Although small militant rebels continue to wage war on the Kuppo government, and could very well take over the nation. The Kuppo parailment feels that it has reached a period in time when can no longer ignore the events of the rest of the world.
Religion discrimnation outlawed
In domestic news the Kuppo parailment outlawed discrimnation against religious groups. The government hopes that they can promote unity among the 5 different religion groups in Kuppo. The law against religious discrimnation was introduce by the Conservative Federalist party and passed the paraliment 50-35
Tougher laws aganist crimnals
The Kuppo paraliment also approved a new law that would allow criminals to recieve flogging if convicted of a crime. The law comes as the public continues to be horrified by the increasing crime rate and small police force. Several states had even banned citizens into traveling to Kuppo because of its high robbery rate. The Socialist party, Kuppo's second biggest party urged its delegates to vote no on the bill but the federalist party and the small Islamic front party both voted yes to the bill that would allow flogging as a possible punishment to minor crimes. the bill passed 45-40
Nuclear plant may be building nulcear missles
bulldozing started today in the northern part of Kuppo's rainforest. A government owned company plains to use the area to build a Nuclear plant. Some international leaders fear that the small nation is trying to build nuclear missles. Protestors had to be dragged off my armed police, some were shot at by rubber bullets, one eviornmentlist says that dispite the police involvement, they will be back to protest the building of the plant
