BEIRUT, AL ANBAR - Iraqi forces in Beirut have stepped up their presence in Beirut, with tanks, armored personnel carriers, and soldiers roaming through the streets. Checkpoints have sprung up along roads leading northward, and there are unconfirmed reports that several units of Hizbullah and former units of the Lebanese Army had attacked the Iraqi military forces in Antilyas and reported that fighting had spilt over into Juniyah.

Other than that, there is no other information. Some Iraqi officials have refused to meet with us and the few others that have given us their time state that there is no fighting and that the security measures are in place only to protect the people of Lebanon.
