Al Anbar Propaganda Offensive!

20-03-2004, 06:55
(OOC: In Al Anbar's world, Israel exists in the same was as it does now in real life.)

Just days after the capture of Lebanon, Al Anbar has taken over the former Lebanese media outlets, private and public, and has put them to work in broadcasting information to the Palestinians of Israel and the majority of the West Bank. Television and radio studios have been converted into the 'Alliance for Free Palestine, Media Department'.

Television stations broadcast on both satellite to ArabSat, NileSat, TelStar, and EuroSat, while shortwave, medium wave (or AM), and FM broadcasts have been turned and aimed toward Israel.

The majority of programs broadcasted are news, Palestinian and Iraqi patriotic songs, and inciting the population of Palestine to "rise up against their Zionist aggression occupiers and reclaim their rightful land."

The Arab Socialist Republic of Al Anbar is more than happy to open an embassy up in CommunistPoland and allow CP to do the same in Al Anbar.

We have made it clear.

The Governorate of Lebanon is now apart of the Greater Arab Nation - Al Anbar - and will remain as such.

We are most pleased to announce that we recognise Al Anbar as the ruler of Lebanon. Even if they are Moslem scum, it's still better that we have someone in charge in Lebanon, then the chaos that has been going on since... the Romans pulled out.

We also extend to Al Anbar cordial permission to open an embassy in Roania, for the discussion of an 'oil for weapons' programme.

OOC: The Geneva convention does not need to be followed by nations which are not signatories. I do not think that Iraq OOCly was a signatory, and I doubt that Al Anbar is.

IC:The Geneva 'what'? Sorry, what is this Geneva Convention you speak of? I'll check with my military advisors on this, but I'm pretty sure that a small city in Europe has nothing to do with war.

Whittier also recognizes Al Anbar as the ruler of Lebanon, except for the area known as Sidon, formerly an independent state but now under Whittier administration. We will allow any Lebanese not wanting to live under Al Anbari rule to come to the Sidonese Protectorate. That is of course, if Al Anbar will allow them to leave.

OOC: History, sidon was the first city state in what is now Lebanon.

No they won't. You are horribly outclassed here. I have no affiliation to either Terrornian nor the Whittier Pact but we believe that Terronian should either back down and appologize or dig up some really strong allies before they are effortlessly wiped off the face of the planet by a group of nations who are each strong enough to annihilate him by themselves.

Pick your battles. You can't win this one.

Hm... while I'm not sure exactly what all this fuss is about I will make sure that I read all of my background before I get involved. However we would like to point out that the "Geneva Convention" is a weak concept made up by nations that hardly have any say in todays politics*.

Eitherway we hardly see how such a convention could have any juristicion over Al Anbar...

* OOC: NS based politics that is. Not real life politics... however Roania put his finger on it, Iraq never actually signed the convention and as such it wouldn't have any juristicion over Iraq... The problem here is that no bugger in NS follows the "Geneva Convention" because we don't have one really...

The Most Holy Principality of Roania thanks Taiwan for its interest in this case, and assures you that the bounds of the Taipei accord shall be followed.

It does interest us, however... why would a nation dedicated to freedom from oppression so support the oppression of Al Anbar?

President Hussein, we await your ambassador.

((Locked and encoded transmission to Bagdhad))

We desire a sufficiently large amount of oil for a large battle-fleet. The target is unimportant.

In exchange, we will outfit your entire military with the finest weapons we cand devise.

OOC: I WARNED YOU, TAIWAN! WELL, WE'LL SEE WHO'S LAUGHING AFTER I TAKE NOT ONLY THE BONINS, BUT EVERY SINGLE ISLAND IN THAT AREA I CAN FIND! BWA HA HA!

Seriously, for a nation that's under foriegn control, Jappann is very sure of itself. Once Ribenia gives up on brokering peace between the Roanians and Micronesians, BANG!

Though she has much more patience then I thought... once again, I've been hoisted by my own petard.

The Taipei Accord was drafted to prevent Al Anbar from attacking her neighbours after the attempted invasion of Kuwait. Full war between Western Asia and Al Anbar was prevented by the accord.
