Civil War in Genotton (International Suport Needed)

Genotton
20-03-2004, 01:54
(THIS IS JUST WHAT HAPPEN BEFORE THE CIVIL WAR...YOU DON'T HAVE TO READ IT.)

***Everyday, thousands of refugees from other nations storm the borders of Genotton. All of these refugees don't have jobs. Many are scattered throughout the streets of cities, especially Yukan, capital city of Genotton. Most of them are homeless. President Neo Giltia took action on this. He asked the Uranium Mining Industry to hire these refugees. Many freely accepted the job. Most refugees in the country work in mining uranium. However, many workers (refugees) are paid less than everybody else who are mining uranium. Most workers (refugees) demamded the president for higher wages. President Giltia, however, ignored these demands. The President was extremely focused on Genotton's Uranium Mining Industy and less on the miners. The workers were angery at the president. After a few days, President Neo Giltia was accused of stealing millions of Peons (currency) from the government and the peoplr. The President was accused of corruption. He was put to trial the following day. After a week of trial, he was found guilty.... President Neo Giltia was impeached. The country didn't have any ruler. The congress said that nobody was ready to be the president of Genotton. The congress then created the Provisional Government to help run Genotton. This was led by Leon Frazier, an excellent speaker and skilled politician. The Nataku Empire of Genotton was ran by the Congress in the North and the Provisional Government in the South.***

-Since President Neo Giltia's impeachment, the congress decided to create a new law. The new law said that any refugees coming from the other nations without any passport or greencard trying to enter Genotton are not allowed to enter. Basically, Genotton refuses to allow any refugees to enter the country. The Congress had 2 reasons for this. First, Genotton is overpopulated and in the period of food shortages. And second, congress believe that some of these refugees are terrorists. Leon Frazier, president of the Provisional Government, didn't like this idea, and said that these helpless refugees should be welcome in Genotton. Frazier was completely against the congress' decision. The congress later found out that Leon Frazier was responsible for all recent terrorist attacks in the country. And not only that, Frazier is responsible for letting terrorists enter the country by disguising themselves as refugees. The congress and the people of Genotton was shocked by this. The congress tried to kicked him out of the Provisional Government, but Frazier is now too powerful to be kicked out. In fact, he controls most of South Genotton. He used the Provisional Government to rise into power. Later that week, he became in complete control of the South, and declared himself as a terrorist dictator. The congress couldn't do anything about this. They then told General Carl McHart to get his men ready for any attacks from Frazier's force.

Just last week, Frazier's force attacked the city of Tikonsyn. General McHart's men were outnumbered and outgunned. They heavily lost against Frazier's force. The battle lasted in less than 3 days. Tikonsyn is now occupied by Frazier's force. 160 civilians were killed during the battle, 209 soldiers died and 100 more were taken prisoners. The country knew it's Civil War between two sides: The Nataku (led by General McHart/North) and The Voltz (led by Leon Frazier/South). The Nataku's morale is low. The Voltz controls one of Genotton's main military bases. Nataku weapons are outmatched compare to The Voltz' advance weapons. Nataku forces are losing in all fronts. The Voltz are advancing northward and penerating the Nataku's defenses.

Here's a newsbroadcast in the North:

**As you all know, our country, Genotton, is having a civil war. The Nataku force are heavily losing. Frazier's men are penetrating our defenses and continues to advance northward, towards us. If the Voltz keeps on moving northward, we are in gravedanger. Over 1,000 people died in the last battles. What would happen to us if Leon Frazier and the Voltz conquer? We must fight. Yes, we are fighting our brothers and sisters, but Leon Frazier is behind all of this. We shall never let him conquer Genotto. What would General McHart do to stop Frazier?....Nobody knows...The Congress is asking Genotton's allies to help us.... This is Richard de Guzman reporting.Thank you.**

***Genotton is in danger of being invaded by terrorists and a dictator. We don't want this to happen. We need international support, and we also ask our allies to help us. PLEASE HELP US.....***

Realizing the potential for expansion, the Emperor decided that Genotton would make an excelent target. A civil war, leaving nothing but militia to fight, easily favored Imperial chances of succes. Also, he knew people would want stability. So, he issued the following speach:

"People of Gennotton, the Emperor of Fluffywuffy hears your cries for aid. You shall have your aid-more than you would like. For the Empire is deploing 50,000 troops to your fair nation. We will crush the rebels (OOC: anyone that resists) and hapilly let (OOC:force) the nation to join in our great Empire"

Itakeitall wishes to offer condolences to Genotton, but cannot at this time intervene in the nation's affairs. We are willing to let the Nataku purchase at a discount from the regional stores to help them in their time of need.

Sadly, we cannot offer military support, as our army is engaged elsewhere. We do offer you the pick of our prisons for more men.

Good luck, and hopefully someone will come save you!

General McHart,

It has come to the attention of my administration that your country is in a rather bloody civil war, one where the future of your nation hangs in the balance of two powers--one attempting to restore order, peace, and freedom, while the other threatening the liberties of your people. After deliberating with the Ministry of Defense, I am writing to offer to you any assistance we may be able to provide for your efforts at stopping the tyrant you call Frazier.

However, at my request, please allow Ramadoon's forces to remain independently controlled by our country. Don't take any offense at my saying so, mind you, as it is only a precaution my country would like to take. The last time we had dedicated our forces under the command of a nation undergoing a similar situation, many of our men were sent to the slaughter due to the stubbornness of a few mad generals who desired to win no matter what the cost.

As a final note, I cannot, right now, give you an exact figure of personell and equipment our armed services will be able to send for your cause. Rest assured that it will be nothing short of a grand army.

Sincerely,
Prime Minister Howard Kingsley

Meanwhile, off the coast of the Port Wellington Naval Base, the two aircraft carriers RNS Duke and RNS Valiant chugged towards out to open waters flanked by a carrier group consisting of various types of ships--frigates, submarines, cutters, transports, supply ships, what have you. With a total of 6,000 personell in the airwing alone and about 170 F-35 Joint Strike Fighters, the carriers alone were a formidable force to be reckoned with. To top it off, they would be assisted by satellites to track enemy movement, and the newly built Aries Orbital Cannon loomed overhead.

Over a hundred F-22's streaked out of Ramadoonian airspace to accompany the multitude of C-17 supply transports and C-5 Galaxies carrying ground armor. Behind them flew the KC-135 refuellers to feed the squadrons for their long journey towards Northern Genotton...

Diplomatic message to General McHart

The issue of whether or not to send military assistance to your country was firecely argued in Parliament. However, it was voted by a small majority that we cannot send military aid to you at this time. However, we are sending a large number of medical and engineering personnel, as well as aid and equipment, in order to help you cope wth the humanitarian problems this civil war is almost certainly causing you. You can expect the above to arrive in approximately 43 hours.

Nataku forces are trying to counter attack the Voltz' penetration on Nataku's defenses. About 600,000 Nataku soldiers were deployed as reinforcements to the front lines with 900 M1-Abrams tanks, 250 SAM tanks, and 500 artillery tanks. General McHart plans to retake the Voltz occupied city of Tikonsyn with the help of the other nations. Reinforcements will arrive at the front lines in less than 12 hours.

After further attacks on the enemy SAM sites by JF-20's and high altitude precision ombing on the AAA sites, the Bisonic high command gave a go ahead for Operation Molotok. Escorted by JF-20's with various anti radiation missiles and smart bombs, hundreds of transports began dropping troops and armor onto positions near the Genottonese capital. The rockets on the tanks and IFV's meant to slow the landing kicked in, and thousands of paratroopers dropped as well. The relatively few casualties had upon landing were sent to local hospitals so that they could recover and join their comrades in the defense of Genotton. Once the deployment of airborne troops is complete, Iron Blood will send heavy armor to aid the government of Genotton.

The Bisonic special forces, the spetsnaz, will also soon be deployed to Genotton.

NV, even though is in the middle on 'minor' interior conflicts itself will send up to 75% of our military to aid your nation. Note that any and all agressive action against this wounded nation will be notified to the Congress and should war be declared all troops in Genotton will be withdrawn. Oh and one more messsage to you Genottan, should we reach a rebel controlled city. We will unleash all 3 of our superweapons upon it.

A) The Ion Cannon:A powerful Space based cannon that can destroy entire cities

B) The MEGALITH Missile Silo: Being able to carry up to 500 small yet powerfull nuclear warheads inside, this is the largest missile silo ever built

C)The Stonhenge Artillary Battery: Having 8 huge 20 inch guns, this Artillary peice when focused with electrical power, can fire shells up to 2000 miles away. also creating a sonic boom where it lands.

(OOC: New Vuhifell...I was just wondering. How could your nation possibly amass such WMD's when it isn't even concentrating its budget on the Defense dept.? Also, are you aware of the logistics behind sending an army, let alone 75% of it? Supplies have to be ferried back and forth between your nation and the battlefield, and that takes time and resources to do so. I know you're a pretty well-off nation and just about the same age as I am, but 75% is really overkill. This isn't WWIII--it's a minor interdiction. Don't leave yourself so vulnerable to an attack.)

Under the cover of darkness and sonar-absorbing coatings, Ramadoon's involvement had begun. Artillery and missile fire lit up the night skies, all of which landed precisely on the southwestern shore defenses of the Genotten rebels. As soon as the majority of the SAM's an onshore bunkers were eliminated, Operation Liberty commenced. Scores of F-35's launched from the carrier and began pounding anything they could spot on the ground, while transport vessels ferried Elite Guards and special forces onshore with various equipment: Challenger 2 MBT's, Hummers, and Bradley IFV's. A majority of their equipment were still in Rydell Island (appx. 500 km west of the carrier group) where the air transports and F-22's had landed. Nonetheless, they received some aid from UH-1N Iroquois helos armed to the teeth with 7.62mm chainguns and 2.75-in rocket pods. These guardian angels tore through the remaining enemy positions to provide cover for the beach landings. It was a modern day Omaha Beach, with the good guys taking significantly less casualties...

The front lines:

Commanding officer: "Alright boys, the rebels are advancing towards us. Let's give 'em all we got!!"

Officer: "Shut up, private! We will hold this position no matter what, until reinforcements arrive!! And that's an order!"

(OOC: Hopefully...the front lines you speak of are in an urban center. Otherwise, disregard the first line of this post  )

The battlefield scene seemed to have been ripped out of the decade-old CNN news reports from Somalia. Two armies fought fiercely in the streets below, when out of the blue, a taskforce of 20 Apache gunships accompanied by an AC-130 and five MC-130E (filled to the brim with 156 paratroopers) flew past the Nataku forces.

"Spectre 1 descending and setting waypoint...Ready to cover you."

"Roger that, Spectre 1. We'll provide close fire on enemy targets. Unleash hell, boys."

The myriad of rocket and chaingun fire hit tore through the rebels like a hot knife through butter. Within the first barrage, their front lines had already been reduced to ash. From above, the Spectre Gunship lit up their rear, bombarding them with their 40 and 105mm cannons.

Meanwhile, the MC-130E transports dropped its human payload over the Nataku--all 156 of the Ramadoon Elite Guards, equipped with the standard M41B pulse rifle.

Hopefully, they would be enough to turn the tides here...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hundreds of kilometers away in Southwestern Genotton, the battle seemed to draw to a close as Ramadoon troops began advancing through the rebel defenses. Casualties were starting to rack up, but it didn't matter...Rydell Island supplied reinforcements. It was a continuous wave of men and armor that the rebels could not stop.

It was a matter of hours before they would gain a foothold on Genotton soil. If triumphant, they would give Northern Genotton's allies the opportunity to flank from the South...

As soldiers in the front hold their positions, the rebels kept on advancing.

"This is it...I'm out of ammo..." said a soldier as he threw his rifle.

"...we're dead.." another soldier said.

"We might be out of ammo...but we still have grenades" said the commanding officer.

All the soldiers threw their last set of grenades at the rebels...something appered in the horizon..

"Sir..we have a bigger problem.."

"Your right...I see tanks appearing.."

"We are going to died now..we'll be dead when the reinforcements arrive."

A soldier grabbed his pistol and started shooting at the rebels and a tank. He shot about 3 rebels, and aimed for the tank. He kept on shooting, and shouting at the same time...Then, the tank exploded.

"What the hell.." said the confused soldier as he look at his pistol.

Then a soldier pointed and cried out, "Look!!"

They all look at the direction where the soldier was pointing....tanks appeared on the horizon behind the Nataku soldiers and figures that looked like humans.

"Finally!!! You guys came!!" cried out one soldier.

It was the reinforcements they had been waiting for. The tanks continued to fire at the rebels. Rebel tanks exploded one by one. The soldiers cheered.

Reinforcements finally arrived at the front. The number of Nataku soldiers who fought and held their positions went down from 450,000 to 90,000. About 30,000 are wounded. Heavy artillery tanks position themselves on hills and on the roads. M1 Abrams tanks continued to fire at the rebels, along with these track vehicles are 600,000 soldiers with 1000 humvees and other land vehicles ready to fight the rebels.

General McHart gave the order to advance. The Nataku started advancing to the rebels' defenses killing everything in their path. M1 Abrams tanks continue to fire at the rebels. The Nataku turn in another direction...to Tikonsyn City. 600,000 Nataku soldiers march toward the city, with 500 Abrams. They joined the Bisonic army. They prepare to retake the city.

Back in the north, F-22 Raptors, RAH-66 Comanches and JSF's jets prepare to assist the Natakus advancing towards Tikonsyn.

The Zero Recon recieved an ordered from the General saying that the team should start weakening the defense before the Nataku force arrive.

**The time is 9:16 P.M. Zero Recon team started to advance the city without being detected. The snipers got in their positions, and so as the rest.**

"Alright, I got perfect visual, I see most of them" said the sniper.

"Get ready guys...we are about to kick some @$$" said the leader.

"Ready here" said all of them.

The leader gave the "go" sign...a shot(silencers) was made by the sniper. One rebel down...Several more shots were made by the other sniper.
5 rebels down. The riflemen laid on their stomachs. One stand up with an anti-tank on his shoulder. He aimed for a tank, then pushed the trigger. Seconds later, BOOM.

"Hell ya!!" shouted the rifleman with an anti-tank.

"The idiots are confused and on high alert, watch out" said the leader.

Search lights went on. The rebels went on high alert. More shots were made by the snipers. More tanks exploded. More rebels dead.

"Come to papa." said the sniper as he aimed on a rebel's head. Then he pulled the trigger.

The spetsnaz are attacking the rebels from their flank, knocking out tanks Vorona ATGMs, and frying rebels with various thermobaric assault weapons. Once the rather weak forces on the rebel flank have been liquidated, the rebels should become quite busy trying to get the spetsnaz under control (the spetsnaz are currently fighting a guerilla style war).

The President of Vexa, Markus Ardis, and its people offers their condolences to the people of Genotton and what they are going through in this period and time. He requests that these questions are to be answered if we are going to commit a military force to help the situation:

1)What methods of force are being used to search and find out these "terrorists" that are trying to overthrow the current legitimite government? This could be useful in deciding what types and how large of military forces should be sent to deal with the situation.

2)Are these troops going to be still needed after the destruction of the major unts of these terrorist forces (assuming that happens) to help with peacekeeping operations or are Genotton's military services most likely going to be able to deal with the situation after? He asks this because of the money that would have to be spent from the Vexan's taxpayers money to keep forces their for an extended period of time. Their is a current massive bird flu outbreak in parts of our nation and this is a giant issue that money is needed in.

He also asks permission from Genotton's congress also to send a small advisory team to assess the situation first hand before deciding what action should be further taken and if military forces should be sent.

Dr Smith pushed a bed through the doorway as the building shook with another exploision. With the Loyalists and their allies concentrating on the city, the rebels had taken advantage and were advancing either side of the city, hoping to outflank the loyalists. Sadly this put the IHI medical staff in the direct firing line.

A sheel caused the far wall to explode, and Dr Smith could hear small arms fire coming from nearby outside. He passed two of his collegues who wrre trying to free a nurse from the rubble, as more shells fell around the makeshift hospital.

he wound his way dwon the corridor with his patient still in the bed, as people ran down the corridors, looking for cover. A loyalist soldier burst through a side door, blood trickling down his face, seeking cover from which to fire - he didnt last a minute. Passing the doorway Dr Smith had a view of what hell must look like, the ground outside covered in dead bodies, bomb craters and burning vehicles. Through the smoke he could see the advancing rebels.

He felt a stinging sensation in his stomach. he looked down adn was surprised to see blood leaking from the gunshot wound. He pressed his hand to the wound, hoping to stem the flow of blood, but two more bullets tore through his upper abdomen. He feel onto the floor, dead, as the rebels advanced

The first squad of paratroopers landed within a few hundred yards of each other, all of them conveniently close to Genotten forces. Lt. James Drucker gathered his men up and ran to the nearest Genotten who seemed to be in command.

"Lt. James Drucker of the Ramadoon Elite Guard, at your service. Our men are scattered about the area, but that shouldn't be a problem." An Apache above them fired off a deafening salvo of Hellfire missiles at an oncoming rebel tank. All Drucker did was shout through the helmet's mic louder, his voice crackling through the distorted words. "AS I WAS SAYING, IT'LL TAKE AN HOUR TO MAKE SURE ALL OUR MEN ARE HERE. IN THE MEANTIME, MY SQUAD WILL PROVIDE ALL THE HELP WE CAN GET. DOC THERE CAN HELP OUT WITH THE WOUNDED! RIGHT DOC?!" He points to a stone-faced Elite Guard clad in the same armor as him, except it was white. Doc carried no weapon, save for the small pistol holstered to his waist. The trademark red cross was emblazoned onto his forearms.

"Trauma, missing fingers...anything short of a severed head, I can cure."

"YEAH, BEST MEDIC I KNOW! COME ON BOYS, ENOUGH CHITCHAT! FIRE AT WILL!"

The squad followed and propped themselves up against the sandbags set up by the Genotton. They fought side by side against their comrades...Would it not have been for the different armor and weapons, no one could mistake them for not being Genotton. Soldier spotted at 12? Point and shoot. Covering fire for a Genotton grenadier? Sure. Covering fire! They weren't going to be arrogant and work separately. They were here to take on this job in tandem with their newfound friends...

"Repeat that last transmission?!" This was the second time the CentCom radio operator had asked for a confirmation. Perhaps he had thought the beach was impossible to take...

"Command, rebels are retreating. The beach is ours. I repeat. The beach is ours."

Hundreds of Challenger MBT's and Bradley IFV's shipped onto the shores chased after the retreating forces, relentless in their pursuit of victory. The blitzkrieg would not end until they reached the North...

Back at the beach, a temporary landing strip and airport was constructed atop a nearby plateau to accomodate the next day's batch of reinforcements from Rydell Island. These long stretches of dura-grip asphalt grains were rolled out like mats over the leveled dirt and durable enough to handle the gargantuan transport planes (not to mention the F-22's).

As the Nataku forces neared Tikonsyn city(about 3 kilometers), they saw several black smokes coming from the city. A soldier took his binoculars out and pointed it at the city. He saw several destroyed Abrams and dead rebels.....a bunker is on fire.

"That's a hell of of a firework" said a soldier.

Bisonic armor tanks prepare to fire at the defensive line of the Voltz. Genral McHart gave the order to advance the city.(Abrams advancing first and soldiers behind them) Bisonic armor tanks began firing at the rebels.
2 kilometers away, the rebels fire back. More and more tanks fired.

Genral McHart said.."Let's do this!! Fire!!"

Bisonic tanks and IFV's simply lined up in rows and fired at the rebel positions as fast as their autoloaders could replace their rounds. Occasionally, there was a flash of light as the Cerberus systems on the tanks destroyed ATGMs. A couple tanks and IFV's lay burning after being hit by rebel anti tank guns, but in general losses were quite light, and the final assault should be sucessful.

Meanwhile, the Su-39M's begin strafing the enemy positions, and dropping FAE weapons (they literally set the air on fire. Bye bye rebels), as well as firing hundreds of 122mm rockets.

The battale for Tikonsyn City has began. Nataku Abrams tanks charged to the defensive line of the rebels backed up by the Bisonic armored tanks. Soldiers advance toward the city. Thundering shots are being made over 100 times a minute. Machine guns roared, and explosions are everywhere. General McHart gave the order to focus on the trenches made by the rebels. I minute after the order, all guns pointed at the trenches. As the Natakus pounded the trenches, the rebels fall back toward the city. A Nataku shell landed right on several rebels in the trench. Some rebels flew in the air...screaming. Some...just blew apart.
