Ever come across a $5,000,000 tank with nothing but your dirty assault rifle and lousy, unreliable RPG? Ever experience that sinking feeling in your stomach when your one-shot RPG fails to fire, or even worse, the rocket bounces off the tank harmlessly? Ever loose a hand from return fire?

Presenting the new DbtS/C Anti-Tank SABOT rifle! (pls be patient for picture to load!)

http://world.guns.ru/sniper/steyr_amr_1.jpg

Using patented Ultra-Modern High-Performance SABOT rounds (YEP you heard me, SABOT, just like in a tank), the Dbts/C Anti-Tank rifle can easily destroy light to medium armored vehicles, and can even disable a MBT if shot from the rear! This weapon is more reliable, has greater range and greater kill potential when compared to more expensive missile systems, and its CHEAPER as well! Great for hunting REALLY REALLY big deer...

Also, this weapon uses a 5-round detachable magazine, just in case you miss. Bullet velocity is a blistering 1650 meters per second!
At 1000m, this will penetrate 80 mm of RHA (rolled homogenous steel armour), causing a fragmentation effect inside. Maximum Effective Range: 2k

Have trouble clearing large rooms, small buildings or concert halls? Worry no more with Dbts/C's Fuel Air grenade (for those with strong throwing arms). Pull out the pin, and throw. 5 seconds later, it will dispurse a volitile, inflamible gass that dissipated quickly throughout the target area. One second after that, it ignites, and the entire room fills with flame. Not only does this incinerate your enemies, but the massive overpressure has been known to knock down small buildings. The blast occurs so quickly, that after the initial explosion, a vacuum is created in the center of the affected area, causing a secondary blast effect and debris damage!

Ever come across one of those people who BELIEVES (with a passion) that power armour actually exists, and buys 7 hundred gazillion units of them? (If you're one of those people, listen up because this next product will help you as well.)

Introducing the new DbtS/C Thermite fletchette launcher! This weapon, fires 5 tungsten fletchettes with thermite cores beneath the tungsten tip, per shot, like a shotgun. After the tungsten tip penetrates "powered armour", the thermite core looses stability and cracks, igniting and spraying molten metal throughout the interior of the powered armour. This weapon will also work against light armoured vehicles and is guaranteed to give standard body-armoured infantry a roastin' to remember!

The DbtS/C thermite fletchette launcher is select fire, (full or semi automatic) and has a fire rate of 450rpm. It has a 12 shot magazine.

An added plus, the magazine can be detached, fitted with a magnetic plate, burried and used as a great anti-personel mine!

Doors are such a pain, especially the heavily re-enforced steel kind that take HOURS to get through. Dbts/C offers a simple solution. Thermite-on-a-stick. With it's ability to actually vaporize steel as due to it's amaizing combustion temperature, this is the ultimate door knocker! The thermite cutter comes on 1, 4, 10, and 18 foot poles (we humbly suggest springing for the 18 foot pole, or buying very heavy gloves). It can also be an extremely effective riot control tool. Form a wall of men with the 18 foot thermite tipped pike, ignite, advance, and make sure you have a burn treatment unit on site. In an worst case scenario, it is even possible to assault tanks with thermit-on-a-stick, as the thermite will burn through main battle tank armor, and most tank treads.

The igniting system is very simple. A string runs along the side of the stick (made of ceramic that is able to, just barely, withstand the temperature of the thermite with only moderate plastic deformation) that leads up to the thermite. When pulled, it triggers a small blasting cap, which ignites a magnesium strip that wraps around the thermite, which ignites the thermite itself. The thermite will burn for approximately 1 minute.

thermite-on-a-1-foot-stick: $10
thermite-on-a-4-foot-stick: $12
thermite-on-a-10-foot--stick: $20
thermite-on-a-10-foot-collapsable-into-4-parts-stick: $25
thermite-on-a-18-foot-pike: $30
thermite-on-a-18-foot-collapsable-into-6-parts-pike: $50

For only $10 more, the reverse end of the pike can be fitted with a high carbon, razor sharp blade that makes slicing through flesh and light body armor easy as pie. This attachment comes in useful when when that crowd just won't disperse THe 10 inch plade can also be detached in 20 seconds and used as a combat knife. Other attachements for the other end inclide:

a single shotgun shell imbeded in the base of the pole $5
A standard grenade for inserting into the hole you've made with the thermite $5
a fuel air explosive grenade $20
If you want an attachemt that's not listed here, or just something else on a pole, please inform us and we'll be more than willing to provide you with the tools you need for mayhem!
bayonette with the cutting edge lined with a thin layer of depleted uranium. It isn't actually radioactive enough to be any kind of a hazard (has a half-life of some 4.5 billion years) and is only toxic if breathed in or ingested, but that could be said of lead or steel alloys as well. The Uranium treatment maakes the cutting edge of the blade considerably harder while still retaining the flexibility of high carbon steel.: $50

--------------------------------------------

New Special Offer: Depleted uranium shells for 40mm anti-tank rifle. Contrary to common beleif, DU rounds are NOT radioactive in any way that would cause celular damage... the effect would be hidden in background radiation noise. While toxic when ingested, actual retention levels are only about 0.2%, and the body naturally has about 90g of uranium in it already. THerefore, for any noticable effect, one would need to ingest a lot of depeleted uranium. None the less, because DU has a bad reputation, we think it is a good thing to buy... simply because of it's intimidation level. Oh, and it increses the effectiveness of any kinetic weapon by 25%.
5 round magazine of DU shells for 40mm rifle: $100

Artilery shells
--------------------------
Dbts/C Napalm delivery system

Warfare is as much about psychology and intimidation as it is about technology, and there is nothing more frightening in the human experience than fire, except, perhaps, syphilis. A wall of blazing napalm is a close second, though. THis is why Dbts/c started a reserch program into firing napalm filled shells from artilery.

We have succeeded. The new shells have shock and thermal insulation for the petrolium jelly inside them. The inner lining of the shell is made of an alloy that reacts violently with oxygen. When the shell reaches it's specified height above the ground indicated by a laser proximity device, the shell splits into quarters. the interior lining ignites, and flaming napalm drifts onto the target. Simple. Elegant. Deadly.

The shells are available in all standard morter calibers from 81mm and up, and all howitzer calibers 155mm and up.

Dbts/C Thermite Submunition delivery system

I hate people who claim that tanks are immune to NBC weapons. Nothing can be completely immune, not without a series of airlocks and a solid cast hull. In any case, here are two weapons to remove their vaunted impermiablity.

Dbts/C TSDS-A: An artilery shell, packed with small cans filled with thermite that have small streamers attached. When the shell seperates above the targat, these submunisions are armed and deployed. They drift down landing on their targets where a contact fuse ignites the thermite. THis would be terrifying, but not particularly dangerous to diciplined infantry. To armor, devistating. Imagine pools of molten iron eating into your tank, destroying your radios, and dripping into the combat compartment. Because thermite stays hot for so long, the crew will be unable to leave the tank for some hours.

Dbts.C TSDS-B: Identical to the system above, except with fewer, larger sumbuniscians, the thermite rests in a pool of napalm, and the submunitions can be fit with proximity fuses. It's raining liquid iron and flaming gas!

The shells are available in all standard morter calibers 120mm and up, and all howitzer calibers 155mm and up.

$1000 a shell up to 203mm After that, custom

Dbts/C Anti Tank Strip Mine.

A simple idea. Simply a long lenght of braided detanator cord with a concave metal strip on top and pressure detonators every foot or so. Taks 300 pounds to set off, so it's not useful against infantry. it's too narrow for infantry anyway, they are unlikely to detonate it. Against tanks and vehicles, however, when laid perpendicular to the expected line of advance, they are rather effective. when detonated, they form a poor man's shaped charge firing upwards, which will neatly slice through tracks and wheels. won't kill a tank, or even an unarmored truck, but it will stop it dead. Also makes a very loud noise, so good for alerting bases of attacks. Simply cut off the length you need, put it on the ground metal side up, cover with leaves or dirt, and walk away.

Comes in spools of 200 meters.

$2000 for 200 meters.
-----------------------------------------

Dbts/C AT mine, standard

This is the standard Dbts/c Mine. Not sophisticated, but it does it's job, and is cheaper than any other anti tank mine available. What it is is a shallow concave block of exlosive with a iron sheathing.the detonator is activated when the pressure in two 5m rubber hoses increases dramatically, buch in the samw way that an alarm rings in a fuel staton when a car frives buy. when detonated, the iron sheathing is formed into a 'self forgin projectile' that fires directly up. as tanks have next to no armor on the bottom, this is usually a guarunteed kill. They also come with a timer, because some tanks have sloped armor plating. one second (or whatever you set it for) after the treads hit the hose, the mine blows.

THe mine is best deployed with the hoses streatching out on either side of the mine perpendicular to the direction of enemy attack, and again, covered with leaves or dirt. In the event that one of the hozes loses pressure, the mine will detonate when the other one is depressed. if both are popped, the mine blows.

One mine: $5

Dbts/C AP Bouncing mine

THis one is truely evil, and only use it if you don't care what people think of you. Seriously. We love it.

The idea is very simple. It's a grenade on on a bit of explosive. There is a When a button is pressed and releaced the explisive detonates, throwinfg the grnade one meter in the air, where it too explodes. There are several ways to use this . ONe is to rig a tripwire, so when the wire brakes pressure on the button ir realeased and the mine explodes. In this case, its better to put the mine in front of the wire, so if they try to cut it from a distance, they die. Another option is to put it under one of the anti tank mines. when infantry try to remove the anti tank mine,m the bouncing mine pops up, and they die. We're sure you can think of other things to do with it.

with frag grenade $ 5
with white phosphorus grenade $10
with FAE grenade $35

Project Thermopylae is Dbts/Cs attempt to enter the nuclear world, in an odd way. Thermopylae was a battle where A few hundred spartens held a gap against several thousand enemy invadors. They held it long enoihg to win the war, but there were no survivors. NOTE: not all of these weapons are nuclear. But they moight as well be.

Technically, these are not suicide weapons, and can be used in ways that will allow the survival of the people who use them. How likely the chances of survival is another thing all together. Warning, Dbts/C reserves the right to refuse the sale of these munitions. If we don't feel comfortable sellling to you, we will inform you. no hard feelings, but these are a terrorist's dream. Production rights will be negotiated on an individual basis, and we don't want to hear whining about how someone else got a bettter deal. This is the way it works. Now that the unpleasantness is overwith.... lets get onto the fun stuff =)

Marathon Class Bouncing Mine

All Marathon Mines are rocket propelled explosives that before detonated are todded up to a maximum of 5m in the air, to give an airburst effect. All are fitted with 3 command detonation devices All three must be activated for the mine to go off. These are not like cars, one key from the same manufacturer will not 'open' all of the devices. If a key is lost, we suggest defusing the weapon immidietly (It is very easy... just pull out the fuze box) and return the mine to us, where we will replace it with a new unike detonation key for only $40. Do not attempt this yourself, these devices should not be opened without a Dbts/C supervisor present. Whevenver a range of yeilds is given, please indicate exactly what yeild you wish. bigger is not always better. As well, you may notice that the mass of the weapon is not proportionate to the yeild. This is because to force a small amount of radioactive material to go supercritical actually takes more more explosives per unit yeild.

Marathon A
Warhead:Nuclear
Yeild: 10 tons
Mass: 20 kg
Burst Altitude: 5m
$15 000

Marathon B
Warhead:Nuclear

Mycale Class Rockets
These form a family of unguided, single launch, disposible rockets with unconventional warheads. Again, three keys must be activated for the weapon to be able to fire, for the nuclear versions.

Dbts/C, with it's newfound economic mediocraty, would like to expand into armored and not so armored vehicles. Here is a list of things that we would be willing to sell. If you say please

Anti Aircraft Artilery for Anonymous alcoholic autocrats

Dbts/C 25mm T-34 AAA Track

Helocopters are the biggest nusence on the battlefeild, alway prancing around and picking appart armored companies tank by tank, or puting those airmobile companies exactly where you don't want them. Well, we at Dbts/c have come up with a typically fast and dirty solution to the problem.

Some of our scavanging teams found a pile of old T-34 tanks slowly rusting to peices in an abandoned warehous labled "Potential ball bearing source". Rather than letting those effective, but venerable machines go to waste, we stripped off all the armor, replacing it with composites that give an effective armor of 300mm RHA on the bow, and 200mm on the sides, rear, and top. The turret was removed entirely (we're planning other things for thosae turrets) and replaced with a semi-open turret featuring two 25mm bushwacker cannons that can elevate to 80 degrees and depress to negative two. The engine was also replaced with a more reliable 350HP Chardonayan Automotive Industries gas engine. All the onboard electronics and controls were replaced an mass, and the tank now has two 3 gigahertz PC inside runnung Linux, calculating deflection, firing angles, and linking it to other artilery peices and radar vans. It can function on one computer, but reaction time is better with both operational.

in any case, accuracy is not the point; the tank can fire 5000rpm, enough to give any helecopter or tank a bad day. THough the onboard radar system DOES work, it has a limited range, and is inneffective against stealthed aircraft (all these people and their stealth, why couldn't they stick to CONVENTIONAL weapons, aren't they good enough any more? All I hear is stealth stealth stealth.. There are even packages for stealthing anythign that's NOT stealthy... Stealth TANKS for god's sake, no one uses radar to find tanks, there's too much ground clutter. why would you want to STEALTH them... ) so it is extremely advisable to, once the battery is set up, ether link all the peices to several radar vans fiber-optically or wirelessly if you are willing to have the enemy tap your communications. THe IR imaging system is also very mature, and is can be used directly or washed through the computer

APC

Dbts/C Sdkfz -A
http://www.freewebs.com/chardonayns/4%20viewsAPC.jpg
NOTE: THIS IS NOT AN IFV. I AM SICK AND TIRED OF BLOODY IFV’S. THEY TURN POWERFUL INFANTRY UNITS INTO WEAK ARMORED ONES AS THE INFANTRY RELY ON THEIR IFV’S FOR FIREPOWER AND OFTEN REFUSE TO DISMOUNT. THIS PHENOMENON STARTED WITH THE SOVIET ARMY, BUT THE AMERICAN ARMY SUFFERS FROM IT TO.

Now that that’s over with, no one will ask why it doesn’t have a bigger gun or more armor. Also, eliminating a big gun and missile tubes make it… you guessed it, dirtier and cheaper, just the way we like it.

For this design, we are going way back to the German Sdkfz type vehicles from WWII. They are the basis for the design. The Dbts/C APC is basically a long, low, armoured truck with six wheels It’s armour, effectively 300mm in the bow and 200mm everywhere else, is sufficient to stop small arms and light anti-tank fire, but really has no chance against modern tank rounds. This is why it comes fitted with a detatcheble wooden frame that allows sandbags to be pilled up on the vehicles. Not only does his give your infantry useful supplies for building fortifications, provide protected firing points on the vehicle for embarked infantry, and break up the vehicle’s silhouette, they prematurely detonate HEAT shells, adding some much needed protection to this design. In addition to the sandbags, the hull is studded with spare wheels, metal gratings and many handholds, all which help to deflect/prematurely detonate incoming rounds.

Though the Sdkfz is NBC rated, as with anything that sees hard use, and is actually meant to open, this should be taken with a grain of salt, and the troops should always have NBC protection nearby… just in case someone uses something cheap and dirty….

The APC can carry 14 men in only mild discomfort, or 20 men if you’re willing to breath in when your mate breaths out. The crew compartment is linked to the cargo compartment by a door covered with ballistic cloth, and there are 4 different exits for the infantry: the back of the halftrack opens into a ramp. A door on either side swing out and forward, and several hatches on the roof allow the infantry to scramble up on top, where the sandbags provide reasonable cover.

Although not seriously armed, the APC does have a .50 cal machinegun and coaxial grenade launcher that can be accessed from both the crew and cargo compartments. Chardonayan doctrine calls for one rifleman to man the gun, several others to sit on top of the APC with ATGMs and RPGs, while the rest disembark and fan out. Thus, the APC serves as a redoubt and rallying point instead of a shelter.

The APC is powered by a 350hp diesel engine, and each wheel is powered individually, allowing for decent manoeuvrability, handling in rough terrain, and is fitted with a water jet system that makes it, in theory, amphibious. Whether it works in practice depends on the maintenance it’s been receiving. Rigging for amphibious operations takes 10 minutes, if you don’t slack off, or 30 minutes usually.

Top speed: 120 kph on land, 10kph in water
Crew: 2 + 14 (20)
Armament: 1 .50 cal machinegun, 1 40mm grenade launcher.
Mass: 20 tons
Unrefueled range:200 km
Price: $1 million

Dbts/C Sdkfz –B
This is the most obvious modification. Armor is stripped off, ammo for the machinegun is reduced and the grenade launcher eliminated. A bank of several 3 gigahertx computers (again, running Linux with a Windows emulator) are installed, along with a lot of radio equipment my engineers tell me is very high quality but I don’t pretend to understand.. Apparently there are encryption modules. VHF transmitters, jamming equipment, all sorts of goodies. And an espresso machine. So what do we have? A spartan, bare as bones APC turned into a fast, powerful command vehicle. These operate at the battalion level, and should never ever take fire. Their armor will protect them from standard artillery and up to .50 caliber fire, but any anti tank weaponry will score a kill.

Crew: 2 + 10
Armament: 1 .50 cal machinegun.
Mass: 40 tons
Special Features: Miscellaneous radio gear
JSTARS communications equipment.
Moderate EMP hardening
Armoured LAN port
Network Hub
More processing power than is really necessary
Espresso machine.
Price: $3 million

Dbts/C Sdkfz –C
I’m sorry about this version. I tried to make them see sense, but they just wouldn’t listen. Who puts two 120mm mortars on a single vehicle, I ask you? My engineers did. They saw the cargo compartment, and their beady little eyes just glowed. The with the grenade launcher removed, cargo compartment in the rear is dominated by two 120mm mortars, and a small alcove where two (heavily shock insulated) 3 gigahertz computers control the fire missions and organize incoming calls for fire. The vehicle has 4 crew now, driver, commander, and two loaders. Even with the massive mortars, the vehicle has room for 200 rounds of ammunition and can tow a trailer with more. Even with that, these mortars need constant resupply to keep from running out of ammo.

Crew: 4
Armament: 1 .50 cal machinegun, 1 120mm mortars.
Mass: (fully loaded) 50 tons
Special Features: Armoured LAN port
Price: $2 million

Dbts/C Sdkfz –D
Simple refit. Remove the grenade launcher. Reduce the armor slightly. Add a trailer to the back. Make the cargo compartment airtight and have a couple of nozzles sticking out. And a couple of lengths of hose. Dbts/C’s Poor Man’s tanker.

Price: $1 million
Unrefuled Range: It’s a TANKER

Dbts/C Sdkfz –E
This is by far the most fragile version of the Dbts/C Sdkfz., and probably the most valuable too. This one is so crammed with electrical equipment that I’m not going to bother cataloguing it all. Dome of the highlights are a cm band radar mounted on the roof, radio direction finding equipment, large amounts of EMP shielding… the list goes on. Much of the equipment can be removed from the truck and set up outside, removing interference that might occur with other electrical equipment inside, and improving the conditions for the cramped crew. It can double as a command vehicle, but officers generally shun it because of it’s cramped conditions and lack of an espresso machine. Just regular drip coffee for these people. This is the ELINT truck.

Crew: 2 + 10
Armament: 1 .50 cal machinegun.
Mass: 40 tons
Special Features: LOTS of miscellaneous radio gear
Radio direction finding equipment
JSTARS communications equipment.
Moderate EMP hardening
Armoured LAN port
Network Hub
Definitely more processing power than is really necessary
Coffee machine.
Price: $4 million

Dbts/C Flugrpanzer-A

This tank is a bit of a departure from the standard Cheap and Dirty theme. This tank is not cheap. Not at all cheap, money wise. Both the tank and ammo are rather expensive. On the other hand, your enemies will say that it’s a cheap and dirty way to fight, so we figure it’s ok.

The development of this tank, as with most of our weapons, was rather… interesting. Standard MBTs have been done to death, so we decided try something different. The main weapon of the tank, since time immemorial, has been a gawdawfully big gun. But nowadays, big guns are finding it harder to penetrate tanks frontal armor., hence the invention of the ATGM. So…. Why not put ATGMs on tanks? LOTS of ATGMs? That’s exactly what we did.

Introducing the Flugpanzer, the first dedicated missile tank. With frontal armor equivalent to any modern MBT (about 1000mm versus sabot rounds, 1700 versus HEAT), a 25mm close in defense chain gun similar to that on the Bradley IFV (We hate the Bradley. But it’s a nice gun.) and box launchers on either side of the turret that can ripple fire off 8 ATGMs each, with a single reload for every tube, the Flugpanzewr is the ultimate tank killer. It’s massive 1500hp diesel turbine can propel it up to 60 mph, and at that speed it’s powerful targeting computer can simultaneously track and engage up to 4 enemy vehicles..

The box launchers have an innovative design. Once the launcher is depleted, or the missiles inside are hit by lucky incoming fire, the box is detached and drops off the side or rear of the tank. The turret then centers, a hatch opens in the top of the tank, and a new box launcher rides up to firing position on rails. Should a launcher fail to detach because of battle damage (Unlikely, but we like to plan for everything), the box launchers are fitted with explosive bolts that will blow themselves clear of the tank, inflicting only cosmetic damage. In this way, the Flugpanzer can engage and destroy 32 armored targets in only 2 or 3 minutes.

What kind of missiles you ask? Well, initially, the box launchers were designed for Hellfire missiles with tandem warheads, and that version is still available. However, it was decided that HEAT shells are no longer effective enough against modern tank armor, and the launchers were adapted to the new American LOSAT missile, which can easily penetrate 4000mm of armor, has a range of about 5km, and an time to target of 5 seconds. It is unguided, however, which is why the hellfire version is still available. The hellfire allows the tank to operate in a supporting role, firing missiles over hills to hit targets designated by infantry or helicopters. A new version is also available firing sidwinder anti aircraft missiles, but these are not extremely effective due to the limited maximum elevation of the box launchers.

Mixed, customized launchers are also available. The launcher set most favored by Chardonayan tankers is 4 LOSAT, 3 Hellfire, 1 Sidwinder. NOTE: IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO MIX AND MATCH MISSILES AFTER THE LAUNCHER IS MADE! EACH MISSILE HAS A DIFFERENT DIAMETER AND LAUNCHING MECHANISM! THEY WILL NOT FIT IN EACH OTHER'S TUBES!

Dimensions:8m x 5m x 3m
Max Speed: 96kph
Armor Plating: 1000 (1700) bow, 700 (1000) turret, 500 (800) sides, 200 (300) rear
Maximum unrefueled distance: 200km

THe first Twenty rifles off our productions lines have been diverted to you by way of tramp freighter, and we are putting together the package of 480 rifles upon your completion of tests. Needless to say, our troops are disapointed by the delay. As for subcontracting out the manufacturing of the rifles, we haven't had enough demand to call for that, though I must converse with my Dbts collegues before saying difinitively 'maybe once more people hear about us.' Thank you for the offer, and we will seriously keep it in mind.

Please arrange to wire us the $140 000 for the first twenty guns as soon as you receive them. The price of the second shipment will be $3360000

During recent feild tests, the rifle outperformed it's design specifications, penetrating 100mm of RHA at 1000m and 300 at 100m! Even with this performence, it will be hard to disable MBT's at range, unles your snipers are good enough to hit the barbette, track links, or any viewport. The rifles are still best used against light to medium armored vehicles, for countersniping, or destruction of fixed instelations (Now why isn't that radar working... why is there a bloody great hole in it? why is there a bloody great hole in ME?) It has also proved remarkably good in trials against helocopters, where it's great range, accuracy, velocity, and lack of any indecation of the snipers position, other than a telltail muzzle flash has proved devistating.

OCC: Why not be pleasent? When people get angy in an arms trade forum, things get messy.
IC: Thank you for your gracious offer. We are willing to trade 500 000 grenades or 250 000 thermite tipped pikes in exchange for an equivelent alue of uranium, for as long as you care to trade. this won't be roleplayed In addition, you will be able to upgrade the blades on the pikes to 'depleted uranium edged' at no price increase for the duration of the deal. Please let us know if this is acceptable.

Skager: We are of course, flattered by your interest in our humble emporium. Either an equivelent value of uranium or cash would be fine, but we currently would prefer uranium. IN adition to the rifles you will receive 1 crate of trout in a red wine reduction, and 3 'I'm an Autocrat' Stickers. The shipment has just left our port and the pumps seam to be keeping up with the leaks in the freighter admirably. OC: We know depleted uranium shatters. the point is it doesn't shatter easily and is extremly hard, which is why it is used in american sabot rounds. It simply won't deform. That IS a bad thing however, because if enough strain is put on it to deform it, it shatters. this is why the entire blade isn't made of uranium, only the cutting edge is plated in it to prevent damage to the blade during prolonged combat operatoins. this allows the weapon to retain the resilience of the high carbon steel and the hardness of uranium. think of it as layered armor.

21-03-2004, 20:52
We have some requests and questions:

1. Are the fuel air grenades safe to use in an open area as fragmentation grenades? Your description does not make this clear.
2. Could you sell us designs for a simple fuel air explosive, that could be modified to what size we need?
3. Could you sell us designs for a thermite explosive that could be modified to what size we need?

OOC:

4. What exactly is thermite? I know what fuel air explosives are, but what is thermite?
Chardonay
21-03-2004, 22:19
Good questions.

1. The fuel air grenades can be used in the open, as they really have no fragmentation effect other than what they kick up. The main effects are incentie\ry and concussion. Assuming you can throw far enough, they, especially if you can get something between them and you (toss them over a wall, onto the other side of a hill) they will pose no danger to the user.

2. Certainly we will, for 10 million dollars. plans will be transmitted upon receiving money. Remember that because ours are rather small, the dispurion charge is rather small compared to the volum of the gas it expells.

3. Thermite, a real material, is a solid that takes a lot of energy to ignite, but once ignited burns extremely hot (about 3000 degrees celcius), cutting through steel like it were butter. To give you an idea, it takes a magnesium flare to simply ignite thermite. Thermite is actually just two powerderd comanly found materials. What you pay for with the thermite on a stick is the stick... the thermite is contained inside the ceramic 'stick' with only a little bit of it exposed ot air. this both inhibits the reaction, making it last longer, and brevents the themite from simply flowing out onto the ground. I hope that helped.

To the Armed Republic of Upper Xen

Now with our new partner in fabricating our excellent rifles, we will most certainly honor your request for samples of the DbtS\C AMR Sabot rifle and our excellent fuel-air grenades for your next human barbeque in exchange for samples of depleted and weapons grade uranium for our next project, nuclear-doberman vests (tm) where a vest containing a small nuclear device is strapped onto a trained doberman and let loose on the battlefield to explode when convenient. Since most of the doberman would be vaporized upon explosion, it won't feel a thing so this process is entirely ethical. The use of Dobermans will also ensure that the enemy will have great difficulty in disarming the device.

We are also willing to consider uranium mining rights in exchange for weapons manufacture rights of our grenades but are not prepared to release rights for the DbtS\C AMR rifle at this point in time.

We also do accept special orders and gratefully accept your assistance in designing a fuel-air rocket for use in standard missile launchers. Our partner, Chardonay is currently researching new methods of delivering massive payloads of thermite-plasma and napalm (if thermite is too expensive) on enemy targets. Testing will begin in Die by the Sword's National Feral Duck reserves tomorrow.

OCC, I'd peep at the nuclear dobermans, but not at DU. DU's safe.

IC Thank you so much for the award, customer satisfaction is extremely important to us. But to deal with the issues you brought up

Nuclear weaponry is a fixture of the modern world, along with chemical and biologicals. Nuclear dobermans are an effective way of getting a low yeild warhead into a hardened position like a biologicals lab, where conmventional weapons aren't good enough. THe life of one dog is surely nothing compared to the necesity of preventing horrific biological weapons from getting in the hands of terrorists.

As for testiung weapons in nature reserves, most weapons testing in America takes place in nature reserves. It's a wonderful way to protect the envirfoment, since test firing only damage a small percentage of the area that's off limits to civilians.

And defeating DU isn't the problem... it's just an advance on previous tugsten penetrators.
