The Biggles class is the fruit of project X-TREMEULTRAKILLERDEATHFRIGATE (the Feazanthian navy realizes the stupidity of the project name and we have sacked the man responsible). It is specifically designed to engage and destroy incoming anti-ship missiles, inter-continental ballistic missiles, and engage low- and mid-altitude aircraft. They are priced and designed to be used in large groups to defend capital ships and destroyers from missile volleys.

((OOC-This is my first ship. Please comment.))

Oh, please that is just the final flight II Arleigh Burke class DDG. DDG-78 was the final flight II, if you went with DDG-79 or higher (flight IIA) you at least get 2 SH-60F seahawks. My flight III Burke that I build can kill your ship

Suggestions:

Ditch those flak cannons (no stats on them).

That is one hell of a light frigate, for a decent sized frigate you should be looking at roughly 10 times the weight (unless you missed a zero). What you really have here is a small corvette.
Personally from prefferance my loadout would be along the lines of duel prupose 40 or 57mm gun, a 35mm millenium gun CIWS and some much lighter missiles (to be honest on such a small vessel you might at msot have room for 1 single launcher for SM2 and i don't think you would have the room for a VLS), unless of course your S-2 SAMs are soemthign different.

You could liekly rule out a decent helo pad on such a light vessel.

Homer Simpson1987: read the stats do they even look remotely like the 9000ton flight IIA? pcitures are just for illustration purposes.

Tis a good design, but I do have a few suggestions.

1) Try and find a much better pick. There are german, russian and chinese vessels with much better likenesses to the vessel you described.

2) Size is too small for an ocean going ship, I would say about 100m+ for a true vessel. An increase in displacement to about 2000 tons would be advisable, or else cut some weapons and the range.

3) Speed is a bit high, but you do have a lot of powerplants and I assume a very modern hull, so no real problem here.

4) Price is probably a bit too low, especially with all those weapon systems.

5) For anti-missile work I would suggest CIWS for the ship, and if this is an escort then a proper anti-missile weapons system like the British Seawolf AAM or the new PAAMS system.

That said, its nice to see originality :) Two many people just copy modern warships and it really limits them navy wise.
