OOC: Summary at the bottom.
---
In the capitol city of Muktar, the City of Dreams, chaos broke out. Recent developments in the space program had been deemed irreligious, and word leaked out of tampering with the human aging process. Looters, protesters, and even seasoned criminal were on the rampage. It was a holy day in the Muktari religion, so the simultaniousness of the chaos did not catch everyone off guard. A few had stockpiled food and bought bomb shelters, and what few of the police force were on duty fought in vain to restore order. A rather bold, and rather violent, group of looters and criminals made their way toward the capitol building itself...
---
In all the major cities of Muktar, similiar riots broke out within hours. Arsonists set banks aflame, death-row inmates broke free and brutally murdered the police forces, and all sorts of chaos filled the nation. In rural areas, motorcycle gangs and fugitives robbed farmers and raided military facilities. Communication facilities were completely annihilated. The region, for a while, was oblivious to the anarchy that swept over the nation.
---
President Ricardi Mendeli was sleeping in his private quarters when he was awoken by gunfire. He desperately opened his drawer by the bed and pulled out a small pistol. A man dressed in prison uniform knocked the door down with a single kick, carrying a fireax in each hand. He looked at the President, madness in his eyes. The President narrowed his eyes, aimed the pistol, and pulled the trigger.
A tiny flame appeared on the tip of the barrel.
The axeman grinned with yellow teeth. "Goodnight Mr. President..."
---
"This is Carloni Jakada, acting anchor for this emergency broadcast. All the major cities of Muktar have been swept in anarchy. Leave the country while you still can."
"Nice effort, Carloni, but the networks, much like you soon will be, are dead."
---
Daybreak in Muktar
---
Most of the fires were beginning to settle. The criminals had gotten their fill of bloodshed, which was, thankfully, only several hundred thousand. However, amidst the dead were the chain of command. Nobody was left to command the nation. To make matters worse, all forms of communications were down. Even if there was anyone left, they would not be able to try to gain control. For the moment, Muktar was in complete anarchy.
OOC: Everything I've offered but haven't finalized has been cancelled. There are no military targets that haven't been sacked. It's sorta like Road Warrior, but without the oil shortage. Not sure where I'm going, but I'll recover by Saturday night at latest. Logging off for the night.
