OOC: Summary at the bottom.

---

In the capitol city of Muktar, the City of Dreams, chaos broke out. Recent developments in the space program had been deemed irreligious, and word leaked out of tampering with the human aging process. Looters, protesters, and even seasoned criminal were on the rampage. It was a holy day in the Muktari religion, so the simultaniousness of the chaos did not catch everyone off guard. A few had stockpiled food and bought bomb shelters, and what few of the police force were on duty fought in vain to restore order. A rather bold, and rather violent, group of looters and criminals made their way toward the capitol building itself...

---

In all the major cities of Muktar, similiar riots broke out within hours. Arsonists set banks aflame, death-row inmates broke free and brutally murdered the police forces, and all sorts of chaos filled the nation. In rural areas, motorcycle gangs and fugitives robbed farmers and raided military facilities. Communication facilities were completely annihilated. The region, for a while, was oblivious to the anarchy that swept over the nation.

---

President Ricardi Mendeli was sleeping in his private quarters when he was awoken by gunfire. He desperately opened his drawer by the bed and pulled out a small pistol. A man dressed in prison uniform knocked the door down with a single kick, carrying a fireax in each hand. He looked at the President, madness in his eyes. The President narrowed his eyes, aimed the pistol, and pulled the trigger.
A tiny flame appeared on the tip of the barrel.
The axeman grinned with yellow teeth. "Goodnight Mr. President..."

---

"This is Carloni Jakada, acting anchor for this emergency broadcast. All the major cities of Muktar have been swept in anarchy. Leave the country while you still can."
"Nice effort, Carloni, but the networks, much like you soon will be, are dead."

Daybreak in Muktar

---

Most of the fires were beginning to settle. The criminals had gotten their fill of bloodshed, which was, thankfully, only several hundred thousand. However, amidst the dead were the chain of command. Nobody was left to command the nation. To make matters worse, all forms of communications were down. Even if there was anyone left, they would not be able to try to gain control. For the moment, Muktar was in complete anarchy.

OOC: Everything I've offered but haven't finalized has been cancelled. There are no military targets that haven't been sacked. It's sorta like Road Warrior, but without the oil shortage. Not sure where I'm going, but I'll recover by Saturday night at latest. Logging off for the night.

3 months after the Great Riot...

A semblence of order has returned to Muktar. Although modern-tech comminication was knocked out, the Assassin's Guild communicated with hawks and runners. They managed to scrap together what little remained of the Muktar military and police force and entered a most neccesary state of martial law until the conventional way of life could recover. The criminals, in response, made it quite clear that the old government did not favor the ancient arts of stealth and slaying that the Assassin's Guild has kept alive for all these centuries. Although it is shaky, there is currently a fiercly enforced caste system:
Assassins- Leadership
Former Criminals- High class, military
Civilians- High class lost their wealth, but otherwise the same as before
Former military- Workers in dangerous enviroments, like coal mines and smelting plants
Former leadership- None left, all died in the Great Riot

Casualties have been somewhat neutralized by a sudden leap in the pregancy level, industry is slowly recovering as is the eceonomy, but technology is facing a fierce backslide.

OOC: You said you would be recovered by Saturday night, so how much foreign involvement do you want?

Social upheavels cause diplomatic stances to turn on a dime. An enemy of yesterday could be a best friend today. It all depends on who has similiar views and who helps us finish the upheavel.

OOC: I ask because what I was thinking ou might not want to happen, but anyway, I'll try.

Al-Dorn AFB, Scellia

The field was full of orderly parked OV-23's, the backblast of their powerful turbojet engines drowning out all but the loudest of noises. Strings of Scellian Special Ops troops boarded each of the planes, every fourth carrying an M-22 Grenade Launcher instead of the standard M-11A1. Ten of the sleek OV-23 lifted off from Al-Dorn AFB, screaming into the sky like banshee's, passing over friendly Oril Daranith and into the skies above the emerald seas. Their destination was Muktar, Scellia had always been friednly with Muktars old governement, and the mission of these 400 was to seize the capitol and oust the new regime. Then search for members of the old regime or the old military to put into power, Scellia of course would need a modicum of control at first but expects to give control fully back t Muktar by the end of next year. If they succeed.

The 10 OV-23 Tiltjets were joined by 2 Megafortress' just before penetrating Muktarian airspace, no challenges were expected seeing as satellites say most of the military was destroyed, however the EB-52's carry AGM-88 HARM's just in case of SAM's or AAA sites. As they cruise over the boarder the cockpits tighten with silence, seeing if anyone notices their arrival.
