[OCC: Got his permission first.]

Journalist Jared Howzer was sitting in a hotel in a small town in East Dobsinia. He was coming from Reminissions to report on the rebel attacks that had been taking place there. From what he had heard, they had settled down a little, so he figured now would be a good time to travel to the capitol for better reports.

His relaxation was suddenly interrupted by the sound of rapid gun-shots. He jumped up as the door of his room was knocked in. A man was standing there looking at him, pointing a gun a yelling. Jared was led by the man to a line of citizens, where he soon met his end.

A group of 10 DIO's (Department of Intelligence Operators) was a few blocks away when they heard what sounded like a machine gun.

Not hesitating, they radioed in for near-by Groups to form a perimeter as they were peeking around a building, veryifiying what they heard. They saw a figure standing next to a line of civilians. They decided it would be best to slowly advance behind the line of buildings and head towards the hotel.....

"Damn!" muttered one of the rebels, spotting the IDO activity. He picked up his radio and alerted the man leading it all, Zaphod Bishop. "IDO's coming!"

"Roger that. All troops pull to hotel. Get a couple of men on sniper duty." said the rebel leader.

As the IDOs came around the hotel two snipers opened fire.

The low thunder of a high powered rifle stop all the IDOs dead in their tracks. They all stacked up against a wall before an opening that would lead into the lobby of the hotel. The lead Sargent radios for any plain-clothed units nearby. Luckily a PC unit was only a few blocks away when they first radioed, and were rounding the corner just then.

Taking cover behind an empty car, the 10-man PC unit raises their weapons, 9 AR1s and 1 MG1, and open fire on where the sniper fire was reported coming from....

As one of the snipers go down, Zaphod curses in anger.
"Give me that grenade!" He shouted. Removing the pin he throws it out the window at the IDOs.

Hearing the 'clang', their training kicks in, and they all dive into a doorway. Unfortunatly an IDO takes mild shrapnel and burn wounds to his leg.

Down the street, the PC IDO's are slowly advancing towards the hotel lobby, firing, taking cover, advancing, firing, and taking cover. Once within reasonable range, they take cover behind a ledge, and toss 2 flashbangs up onto the roof, and 2 inside the lobby.....

Zaphod turns to his troops.
"Looks like this is it. A last stand as it were. We're going to run out of here, guns blazing, and take out as many of those damn IDOs as possible. Lets go!"

They ran down into the lobby and out the door, Zaphod leading the way, his gun blazing. One of the men behind him pulled out a small pistol, leveled it at the Rebel leaders head and fired three shots before the other rebels filled him with bullets. They looked up to see guns surrounding them.

10 fully armed IDO's directly across the street raise their weapons, aimed directly at the rebels...

The IDO's began ordering the rebels....first in English

"DROP THE WEAPONS AND PUT YOUR HANDS ABOVE YOUR HEADS!"

Then in Spanish....

"¡DEJE CAER LAS ARMAS Y PUSO las MANOS ENCIMA DE CABEZAS! "

Then in German....

"LASSEN SIE DIE WAFFEN FALLEN UND SETZEN SIE IHRE HÄNDE ÜBER IHREN KÖPFEN!"

The PC IDO's approach the front of the lobby and the rebels, who are standing there, and do the same....ordering them to drop their weapons and surrender........

The rebels proceed to drop there weapons, with the exception of one, who fearing what would happen to him if he was taken captive, shoots himself in the head, spraying blood over his comrades. The rebels put their hands on their heads, waiting for the IDOs to have their way.

The IDO's slowly approach them, ordering them to lay on the ground, with their hands on their heads....

As they approach, rifle mounted flashlights are turned on, blinding the rebels........

An IDO radios any local police to respond to the scene, Code 3, and secure the perimeter....

Once handcuffed, the rebels are taken into custody, and the IDO's are taken back to the Department of Intelligence a few miles down the road, and replaced for the day by a new unit.
