Recent events have brought great sadness to our nation. A revolution turned deadly last thursday as members of the left-wing anarchist organization "Blood Fist" stormed a national prison. After a bloody fight, in which 34 state officers were killed, the group's intentions became clear. They released several prisoners from the death row wing, including condemned prisoner Yashief Virohdan, who was imprisoned for his 1997 bomb plot of a Empire hospital, which killed 200 state workers and 37 children. After being freed, Virohdan led the mob of over 200 to the Artanian palace, where he loudly shouted orders to infiltrate and "Kill The Emperor".
Although heavily guarded, the security forces were taken by surprise. Recently Coronated Emperor Vincent Kain was having a moonlit picnic in the palace courtyard with his family when the rebellion forces attacked. Elite Guards fought off the assassins while the Emperor began to ran away, but when Kain turned around to see his beautiful wife Sarah and his only son and heir Brian were in the clutches of the mob, he ordered his guards to rescue "them before me", and with sword drawn, charged the mob. Security forces were overwhelmed by the mob, and Vincent's guards had to pull him away and lock him, against his will, in the palace dungeon for his safety. The next morning when Kain broke the lock and emerged, he found countless bodies strewn on the ground, so much so he could hardly walk through the courtyard without stepping on one. His worst fears confirmed, he found the skinned body of his wife impaled on a wooden spike, and his son mutilated and spread throughout mentioned courtyard. Servants found the emperor collapsed later that day, in shock and repeating "them before me".
Medical analysis states both wife and son were raped repeatedly by the mob, and died painful deaths. Security forces have been replaced and palace security has become tighter since the incident, and economists project an easy and quick recovery, due to the country's strong finances. Kain's demeanor has changed greatly to melancholy and grief, but he stated the nation will persavere, and he will remain leader. "Now that I have no one else to live for, I will live completely for the Empire". A public funeral for all Artanians killed on that night, including the Empress and heir to the throne, will be held publicly this Friday. A report will be given of the funeral.
"We cannot let these people get away with this", Vincent Kain explained in a solemn, emotionally moving address two days after the attacks. Intelligence indicates Yashief Virohdan, as well as the surviving members of Blood fist, have fled The Empire, and are seeking refuge with a sympathetic nation. Emperor Kain himself offered a reward for his capture- 4 million banaans dead and 5 million alive, as well as 10,000 banaans for each member of the attempted coup captured and extradited back to The Empire. We are awaiting leads at this moment.
