Meltdown in RedCommunist
USSR Network News - AP - 3/15/04
National tragedy today in RedCommunist. Reactor 2 at Ganz City Nuclear Power Planet had a critical Meltdown. The city, located in southern RedCommunist, has been declared a National Emergency Zone; every person within 100KM of the meltdown has been ordered to evacuate. RedCommunist National Guard units are active and on site, while the last emergency forces are pulling out due to the high volume of radiation. The body count has just reached 45,000 dead and suffering from the effects of radiation. One officer of Ganz City spoke to us about this incident. "It was amazing at first, like a giant blue beam coming straight out of the plant. Then it...it hit me, this is what they were always talking about. My partner grabbed me and we went as close as we could to the site before feeling ill. I have never seen anything so...horrifying in my life. People had eye sockets, but no eyes; some were coughing up their lungs onto the street. Fire was all over, the dead were literally walking...all I could do was stand in awe at this. I started to direct people to emergency stations, after a few hours I had to leave," said Officer Ismar. RedCommunist officials have not had any official statements on this accident at this time, though they seem to have noticed this and put a plea in for international aid. Another plant, McIntosh Nuclear Power Plant, that was connected and running system files with Ganz Nuclear Power Plant at the time has reported that the cooling systems are malfunctioning and that a meltdown might be imminent. McIntosh City has been evacuated and the surrounding cities are put on notice to be prepared to leave.
