Thuthmose III
15-03-2004, 11:54
The unprovoked attack against The Two Lands by F-Carthage and the region of Carthage has been stopped and now Pharaoh Thuthmose III is demanding compensation for the attempted "nook" attack upon his people.

As a vassal state, the region Carthage will be required to pay annual tribute of 6 billion shadufs ($2.5 billion US) to be adjusted according to inflation.

The people of Carthage are now subjects of The Two Lands. We are a peaceful people, however do not tolerate attacks on our people (even if the nation is a noob).

While we refuse to occupy the region of Carthage, if they refuse to pay tribute in compensation then The Two Lands will take collective action against the aggressors.

Let it be known that tyranny (even from noobs) will no longer be tolerated.

Tjaty Ahmose,
Waset.

Receiving word of Thuthmose III's aggressive empire building, Azaria (capital of The Ralish Empire) has sent forth messengers to both Thuthmose's kingdom and to Carthage to tell of The Eternal Golden Empire's disapproval.

It would be well, says King Ralish V, for the Pharaoh to check himself, lest the Carthaginians seek aid from the Alshorian Guard in doing so by force.

Victories of any worth are often hard won, so says the King, and Alshor does not intend to sit idly by whilest aggressive empires rise to power around her.

(ooc:Hey, I'm playing king here, I can by a hypocrite too, if I want! ;) In fact, I should be demanding tribute from the lot of you! Heh)

The Lord High God-Emperor of West Marlboro deployed messengers upon hearing of aggressive nation building, voicing his disapproval. Word was sent to the Ralish nation that any help needed to oust the Pharoah would be generously given, up to a point of several regiments of His Most High Emperor's Imperial Guardsmen.

In addition, the allies the Holy Empire of West Marlboro, part of the Free Masons Collective, will also pledge troops to the effort, should it come down to all-out warfare.

Regards, His High Imperial Wonder; God-Emperor of West Marlboro.

Nations of Carthage! We call upon you to pay tribute in compensation. It is only fair.

What is fair? I have asked for a link to this thread 2 days ago and many times in the intervening time. Searches for the thread came up blank and my internet connection was not working well and I received frequent timeouts.

What has F-Carthage done? All I saw was a post in the region thread which merely confused me. I have asked many questions and have had no answers. I still do not really understand fully what is going on. I have no plans on any aggressions, I have no plans of paying any tribute, but I will defend myself. What do we have to pay for anyways? Reparations? If so, Reparations for what? What has been done to you? What proof do you show that anything has happened to you?

Edit?: More internet problems, this message may not even post.

Since Thuth is off for the night, I will answer what you want.

F-Carthage apparently "nooked" us. Also sent round messages on other rmb's claiming how powerful you all were and people should submit to the region Carthage.

Well since noobing is ignored, we are taking revenge before you have a chance to do it again.

We don't want a war, but we are defending ourselves from Carthage.

All we want is compensation for F-Carthage's messages.

Is there any proof that F-Carthage actually nuked Thuthmose? Is this 'annexing' really caused by something F-Carthage did? And if so, why did F-Carthage nuke him without provocation? This doesn't really make any sense.

Did F-Carthage really nuke Thuthmose? Is there any proof? Is this 'annexing' caused by another nation's actions, namely F-Carthage? If he really did, then why did he do it without provocation? None of this makes any sense.

Ah so this is the thread? Sorry I had connection problems Thuthmose.

Well in West Pacific's Regional Message Board this nation F-Carthage told everyone to join some region called Carthage or be killed because Carthage apparently has the biggest navy in the world.

When we heard that Thuthmose was threatened by F-Carthage (we saw the TG Karrot he said he had dropped 10 nuclear bombs on Thuthmose) we decided it imperative to help end the conflict.

While we do not recognise nuclear capability for any NS with a population less than 100 million, we do accept that Carthage is waging war on this other region for no reason other than displaying some severe n00bness.

So the Empire will come to Thuthmose's side.

The President has authorised the mobilisation of 5 CVBG's (Carrier Battle Groups - each consisting of 13 vessels: 1 carrier, 4 destroyers, 1 refueling ship, 2 frigates, 4 nuclear submarines and 1 heavy cruiser).

If need be, we can send more although we feel additional vessels wont be necessary. At this stage, the President is not willing to risk troops. It is felt that naval strength alone will bring a swift end to hostilities.

Under the guidence of Pharaoh, The Two Lands regional defence force has been mobilised against the oppressive Carthagians. In total, regional forces consist of:

Army: 20 million men
Navy: 24 aircraft carrier divisions, 18 battleships, 5 battleship divisions, 4 destroyers, 4 frigates.

These forces are being deployed immediately to Carthage. Expected arrival is 48 RL hours for the 24 aircraft carrier divisions and 4 RL days for the remainder of our navy and first wave of troop transports.

Waves 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 - 20 will arrive if and as needed although we do not expect these to be necessary.

Wonderful news!

Carthage, New Carthage, Phonecia and Celtic Warrior all submitted to Pharaoh today.

Forces are being called back, except for 5 Carrier Fleets which will garrison our new colonies.
