------------------- Toy-Box concept: Presentation Summary --------------------

Concept description: Multi-purpose submersible assault carrier

Cost: Unknown, varying on builder's industrial capability, estimated rhoughly equal to value of 2 large, more conventionnal, nuclear-powered missile carrier submarines, and 1 nuclear-powered Nimitz-equivalent aircraft carrier.

Length: 440m to 460m, depending on construction specifics and preferences.
Width: (max.) 90m to 94m, depending on current mode of operation
Height: (max) 35m, 40 with periscope extended

Planned armament:

Torpedo tubes: autocalibrating 400mm to 700mm, autoloading
Max: 14 fore, 4 aft, 2 manual launchers on each side.
Norm: 10 fore: 3 aft.

Missile tubes: CAN NOT be used while submerged
Max: 12 launcher pairs
Norm: 6 launcher pairs

Silos:
Norm: 3 standard submarine-type ICBM silos, can be quickly adapted for fluid storage and/or extra fuel reserves for embarked aircrafts.

Embarked aircrafts:
Up to 70 avg. size fighter crafts and 30 ground vehicles. (tanks or other)
All vehicles will have to go through ... *code garbage*... which ''hangs'' them vertically from hardpoints on the tail or engine exhaust. In the highly improbab ... ... *code garbage* ... ... oints should be located near shoulders.

Launch system:
4 lifts, 2 solenoid-aided catapults.
The catapults can be used together to launch two aircraft simultaneously or to launch one larger, heavier craft.
The catapults offer approx. 1.5x the acceleration ...

... rate to an equivalent of 4 catapults.

Power:
3... ... *code garbage*... ...lear power plant, hull lined with high-efficiency photoelectric converters for backup/battery operation. Evide...

4 shafts, 4 prototype XLC 7-blade propellers
1 "Neptune-3" hydromagnetic impeller system.
Magnetic impeller system can only be used at sea or near sea, as it uses the dissol... *code garbage* ... widens the ship by 2 meters on each side, total 4 meters. Although with a lower top speed than propellers when used alone, it has the large advantage of being -absolutely- silent, as... ... *code garbage*... ...impeller system requires the full dedicated output of the third nuclear power plant.

Speed: *Theorical*
Propeller-only:
Surface: estimated 45 knots.
Underwater: estimated: 30 knots.
Impeller-only: estimated 25 knots. The impeller can only be used when submerged.
Max speed, both systems online: Due to the pressure displacement effect presented by the impeller system, the input ports opened when the MIS is extended and extra power available when running all 3 plants at full output, calculations show that the ship might have a max speed in excess of 70 ... *code garbage* ... With the X-Jaws kit, max sustainable speed is estimated at 55 knots, absolute max survivable speed -for no more than 3 seconds- est. 75 knots. Evidently, at such speeds, the ship is all but stealthy and has a massive wake.

When at surface, the canopy can split in half through the whole length of the ship and retract within the main hull to reveal the launch deck. When submerged, ... *code garbage*...

Cost: very high
Recommended construction material: titanium, kevlar, ... *code garbage*... ...nd C-60 Carbon-Fullerene plating.

The X-Jaws in an unmaned, uninhabited detachable optional section ... *code garbage*... reinforced construct with its distinctive three extrusions is nothing more than a very large ramming blade ... ... *code garbage*... ... excessive dammage itself. It is also an absolute necessity for the ships survival when ... ... *code garbage* ... ...periods.

The "Toy-Box' name comes from the very surprising and ... ... *code garbage*... ... merged than when surfaced.

I have yet to hear of a vessel that large go 45 knots on a propeller alone, submerged or otherwise. especialyl with a nuclear reactor
