Inside the border of the former Kingdom of Abetone, citizens cheered as Rioneran soldiers walked through the cities, soldiers once thought to be non-existant. Vincent Altobello walked up to a podium in the capital city of Basilicata, and began to speak.
After a massive revolutionary insurgance had overthrown the Rioneran government 5 months before, the nation had been thought to be completely destroyed. In a sense, it was. However, the former king and most of his cabinet had escaped days before the capital fell, and had been in hiding in the allied nation of Abetone. However, the Abetonian king had been assasinated 4 1/2 months into their stay, and with no family to take his place, the former Queen had ordered that their great friend Altobello take his place as leader, thus, his nation could live on.
