i would like to participate in a paintball war because i need to train my troops. i am asking 3 other nations to join in. there will be 2 teams each with 2 nations per side. the teams will be the Blue Team and the Red Team. i will participate on the blue side. this will be entirely on land no navies. no WMD's or anything like that. there will be a troop limit of 3,000 per nation. i am also so looking for a neutral country to host this event if anyone not participating wishes to host this event post here.

I'd be willing to join, because my nation has been receieving threats from anti communist nations, and due to my nation being small and new, it hasnt had time to build adequate army. And now as it ordered an army of huge size, it needs members of capable skill to maintain these weapons. WE ARE IN!

The Nintendoids would love to participate in this event, purely because we love paintballing! I hope you understand that we are a peaceful race, but can certainly offer a great challenge to you in the interests of training your nation.

first of all i'd like to thank everyone for posting and i'd especially like to thank CorpSac for being our host. unfortunatly we have one too many nations participating. it is my greatest regrett to inform Hellfire Nations that you cannot participate, as i will take the first three who posted. HOWEVER, if you can get one more nation to participate i could then allow you to play, however i STRESS that there will be no other nations competing after the three per side. this limit is placed in the interests that we keep this small. now onto matters of planning this war will be held in Area 1. my team (Blue) will control the city while the other team (Red) will control the surrounding area. now there are two objectives for each team. keep all ur soldiers alive and capture the enemy flag and return it to ur home base. there is a small twist to the capturing the flag objective the flag may only be captured by a strike force of no more that 25 men. this is to prevent just a mass assault on the oppossing base and a taking of the flag. because of this fact there can be no blatant guarding of ur home base which means no 2000 troops stationed around the flag so its impossible to get that defeats the point of the game. pretty much anything else goes. the teams will be as follows myself, Russia, and The Nintendiods on the Blue side and Thwanhana, Hellfire Nations, and whoever else he gets to join on the Red side. if Hellfire is unable to get another nation to compete then The Nintendoids will move to the Red side to take over Hellfire's slot. if Hellfire cannot get another nation i would be honored if they would referee this war. there will be a period of 1 real day in which the nations of both sides will communicate strategy. (this will be done with t-grams in the interest of secrecy). with that said this war will commence no later than two real days from today at 1530 GMT.

well in that case i will draw up a map for u people if i can
14-03-2004, 03:08
General Nesure will then travel to the battlefield with his body gaurds for the purpose of observation or refereeing if u so choose. But that it up to you since I would see that there would be less disputes if you settled casualites amongst yourselves. Kingdom's United Army withdraws from the competition.

ok got a map:

http://info.louisiana.edu/mahler/oep/graphics/lft-area-map.gif

ok the area your fighting in is in and around lafayette with in the thick Green line around it.

the part called Scott is the Slums

The Part called carencro is also slums

the part called Youngsville is sector 5

the part called BroOssard is sector 1

the center area is split into 2 for the High Rise and Corpoate Sector. the maps small i know. i would edit it and name it all and such but at the mo i dont have to software to do so. if you want you can use the surrounding areas. out side that Green Line.

the Armed Forces do ask you dont blow anything up as this is a training ground some of our forces.

thank you for Refereeing Hellfire. CorpSac has generously provided a map. there is no need to worry about anything being blown up as all grenades will be filled with paint. there will be no limitation on the weapons used as long as you use paint bullets. that will be the only advantage for any side in this conflict. my troops will be using recently purchased OICW Assault Rifles from North Germania. btw CorpSac it may just be my computer but your map will not show up in the forum. it has an x over the picture. also the planning period will begin today and war will begin tomorrow at 1530 GMT.

The Nintendoids have arrived on-scene and, though completely uninformed of any strategy we may be adopting, have deployed in positions around our starting area (red side). Seeing no obvious activity in the city, we assemble 3 strike teams of 25 men each to swiftly scout out the city, filtering through the slums, working their way towards the possible location of the blue flag. The rest of our squad sets about securing locations in a radius around their starting position, which we will not name.

We wonder where Thwanhana are...

Beta Aurigae VII has also arrived on-scene andhas pulled together 5 strike teams of 25 men to comb the city and surroundings. also a small team of 5 men have been filtered troughout the area to try and locate the Nintendoid base. the rest of my men have been deployed in a radius in teh general vicinity of the blue flag. they have set up a defensivley throughout buildings and such.
16-03-2004, 13:38
After a tense night, the Nintendoids' messengers from the initial strike teams and those recon teams that inevitably followed report back that they have encountered sparodic firefights with small teams in the various buildings surrounding a specific sector. They believe this sector to be the source of the squads they encountered. No casualties on either side have been reported. In addition, 2 lone troops were found and eliminated on the eastern perimiter of our flag, by the small early detection teams that were set up around the flag's radius. A third man has been reported fleeing the scene and we are unaware of his whereabouts... It is suspected that this was part of the network of scouts that was deployed by the enemy, and that they now have a degree of bearing on our position. More small squads have been deployed in covering formations waiting in ambush, at a substancial distance from the flag to detect and eliminate any further threats. Meanwhile several more strike team squads have been dispatched to the locations that have been indicated by the messengers to be worth investigating; several larger squads of 50-strong troops have been prepared to provide covering fire for an assault. Radio silence is now in effect.

Ruissia soldiers arrive paradroping near Grand Coteu Sunset. Their first objective is to set up an HQ and send scout groups in the area. After doing so, we will take the small villages of Cankton and Arnaucville(sp?) and set up a line of defence in a V shape.

To the ref, are we allowed to send in reinforcements?

Beta Aurigae's defense has eliminated a small strike force of Nintendiods just north of the blue flag. casulties on my side 5 and on the Nintendiods an estimated 20, some troops we seen fleeing back towards the Nintendiod base. no pursuit was given the defense was reinforced and some troops were pulled back to create a tighter defense.
17-03-2004, 12:52
The Nintendoids have become aware of the location of the blue flag due to the actions of those who escaped from the firefight yesterday, who made it back to safety and reported to those in charge. Paratrooping soldiers have also been seen in the vicinity of the city however, leading to a massive problem for our troops, who are now outnumbered two to one; we have no contact with our allies. The Nintendoids therefore decide to attempt a quick strike and send out two of the larger 50-man squads and another two strike teams to the location of the blue flag, via the same route but sweeping around to the other flank. This war has to end quickly if the Nintendoids have any chance of staving off almost 6000 troops!

The army of USSR moved north due to orders from the supreme. There, we were able to find AA guns, and due to the other teams supply airspace goes trough here, this is a major find. 5 scout teams have scattered out, each of 25, and will try to capture the flag if neccecary. The current occupied cities of Ruissia are Opelucsas and Leonville. We here will try to back up the supply line of our team and hopefully advance further deep. Latest news!!! Scout team Alpha was able to recognize and follow supply trucks. Hopefully, they will lead us into the flag

sorry for the lapse in posting guys the forum doesn't work too well with my CPU. anyhow Beta Aurigae VII has pulled 875 free troops to launch the first large offensive in the war. they will cross into enemy territory and attempt to secure the red flag location. also the two 50 man squads and the other two strike teams sent by the Nintendoids have been intercepted and met with resistance. 60 of the Nintendios troops were killed before they decided to high tail it back to their base. 50 of the 200 Beta Aurigae troops who engaged the enemy were killed.

"why dont they put snipers in the area fools, the people in the city have the desadvantage of no realy surpply lines. who knows maby there are snipers" he sead
"mmm....its an interesting battle tho all side seem to be not grate in urban combat and vary carful"
"true but they may not show there full power yet wonder tho why? USSR are smart starting all the way back there, with the towns and such under there control surpply lines are safer" the Genral replyed
he watched on hopeing that the the side he was betting on won

i have indeed fought a war before but no it was not in an Urban COmbat situation. i am very cautios becasue i dont want to go all out to attack teh Nintendiods and then they pull off something sneaky and win. i have to keep an air of caution about me becasue teh NIntendiods might be teh old tiger sensing teh end. as Sean Connery says "old tigers sensing the end are at their most fierce, and they go down fighting"
22-03-2004, 12:59
Yes you are right to be cautious as it appears that the only way we are to have any chance in this war is to be sneaky! We are terribly outnumbered and having to second guess what the outcome of our actions will be very carefully. We have had no contact from our ally, and hope that there may be a surprise later! It would be correct to say that the troops we have deployed in the city have not been well suited to it; they are merely learning, we still have our bosses to feature in the war yet :) be warned!

The Nintendoids are currently restructuring their troops... if there are any approaches towards our possible position expect covert operations to snuff those approaches out swiftly and efficiently!

The USSR troops in the area got orders to eliminate every movable thing on their sight. We are now more cautious than ever, hearing the suspicions of Nintendoid spys walking around loosly. However, due to the decent smell of Nintendoids, our dogs are able to catch their smell and destroy them. Nintendoid spys,we aware. The leash has been cut loose!

It has been a torrid few days for the nintendoids, who now have to rely totally on their covert training rather than any use of force in numbers due to the overwhelming number of troops against them. We have men overlooking the flag's position but no obvious way to reach it, although the two enemy forces seem to be operating as individuals rather than a team, a factor that we may be able to take advantage of. Meanwhile, advance specialist troops have been attempting to infiltrate the enemy as spies, but are having little luck with the ruissian troops due to their dogs; while not quite as effective as they boast they are, especially when a certain pheromone is released into the atmosphere, they are certainly cause for concern. We have several members planted within the beta aurigae forces however; it was tricky getting their uniforms but we managed it! These spies have been ordered to report back the positions of the troops and possible movements. In addition, a sewer network has been discovered which allows much-needed underground access to the city, thus evading the topside forces.
Beta Aurigae VII
26-03-2004, 21:50
Beta Aurigae VII is aware of the sewer system and has taken the proper measures early on to close off entry into their terriotory be outside troops. these spies are being seached for and until they are found no troops will have access to any battle plans unless they pertain directly to them, also all outside communication bands are being monitored by the Beta Aurigae commanders.

In the past two days, USSR troops have gained so much land. They moved from our borders to deep into enemy territory. The USSR squad is now devided into two, pushing from each side of the enemy. Behind the enemy, is a mountain, with large resistance, but if we get it, would be good for artillery support for the troops. The troops from each side have been advancing hardly, and the scout groups have actually seen the flag off the buildings around. It is reported that we are only about 450 meters off the target area.
