The Empire of Novaya Indonesia trained 1.000.000 basic soldiers for its basic armed forces, called as the Imperial Guards. They are armed with M1A1 Carbines as their standard rifle and Desert Eagles as their standard handgun.

Isn't that a bit much for a nation of only 5 milion?

One fifth of your nation is military, and elitely trained at that?

Novaya, that is 1/5th of your population.. no you do not have 1 million soldiers, in fact your army probably shouldnt be bigger htan 50,000...

First off:
a) you are a prettyu young nation, i wouldnt reccomend building any army until you reach atleast 20-50 million population.
b) even when you do get enough population to have an army, it should never, be more than 5% and thats in total war. in peace time you should have less than 1% in your military
c) Also, your economy is only reasonable, this means that your nation would not be able to support so many troops, let alone arm them.

This kind of armed forces are formed mostly by volunteers. The Imperial Guards core is not more than 25.000 personels. Training 1.000.000 soldiers didn't mean that they are all on service for all time, only when in dangerous situations. If those dangerous situations are occured, the Imperial Guards will arise in number from 25.000 to 1.000.000 in a moment.

Note that in a war, having 1 million soldiers would entail having around 1 million logistics etc. personnel, so that would be 40% of your population at the moment, then more people to actually arm and feed them...doesn't work that way.

Yes. That's why I will have to encourage businesses to get income and make my country to be rich. For these times, it seems there are no incoming wars.

i doubt the veracity of novaya indonesias claim, the UMI [united marxist isles] has a population of only 6million, we maintain international law and order through our small fleet of Hoverships and a small battalion of ground troops- an elite gaurd of 1million is wasteful and foolish- especially if they're stationed together; they would make a prime target for bombers and countrys with WMDs.....
