I have $100 billion to spend
I will have a contractor bidding war. I want someone to offer me an army, navy, AF, and marine fighting force for $100 billion. Whoever assembles the best, largest, and most diverse fighting force wins the contract.

need I say, that 100 billion is not even enough for even a small military?
try a few trillion, of course your nation is smaller, but even then, you would have the smallest little army ever.

I don't want a large military yet, just a defense force that can do the job and is diverse in types of units.
Neo-Wu, thats incorrect. you can build a military with LESS than 100 billion (as I am doing). it may not be the end-all of all forces, but it will be a workable military.

OOC: With all due respect, you don't know what you're talking about.
In some parts of the real world, you can put together a pretty decent army for only two million. It won't have the latest gizmos, but then surplus Soviet crap is quite cheap.
On top of that, a bigger army is not neccesarily a better army.
Amateurs study tactics.

Ok yes, you can make a decent one, I'm just thinking nations my size, so yes an army can be made with that kind of money, so go ahead and do so, but I'll tell you one thing, my army isn't going to consist of only 100 billion dollars. :P
