Wanted: International coalition wanted in war on terror

Luxury cruiser sinks in international waters

A luxury was sunk in international waters today by an unknown source, destroying the vessel and killing most of the passengers on board. The navy has dispatched to recover, and has so far retrieved 36 of 242 passenegers; 19 were killed, 12 injured (four severely), and five unharmed.

President Jack Ilrien has issued a statement condemning those responsible for the attack. "Chinese Army shall not stand for this shameful act of terrorism," he said in a public statement earlier today.

The ship was believed to have been sunk by sea-to-sea missiles launched from another ship.

Far-Left fiends take responsibility for airliner crash

A nation named Nungenshmargen, owned and controlled by a far-far-far-off-the-charts-left wing fanatical group committed to terror has claimed responsibilty for the attack.

"We have attacked you, and shall continue to do so, capitalist bastards," they said in a public statement sent to Chinese Army's government.

The group is named The Liberal-est Nation, and hopes to establish the world's most left-wing, social, and indeed totalitarian nation in Nungenshmargen.

Forty-two cruise missiles launched at Chinese Army

Forty-two cruise missiles were launched at select targets in Chinese Army, including government buildings, civilian hotspots, and military installations. This has been confirmed through many sources to have been performed by Nungenshmargen's military - even they themselves have claimed responsibility.

Patriot missiles and other anti-missile missiles took down most of the incoming cruise missiles, although a shopping complex was hit...another cruise missile hit as well, though this one damaged an empty airbase that was just undergoing preliminary construction...several trucks and cranes were damaged, as well as $45 million in construction materials...not to mention the destruction of the runway and six radar stations. Nine workers lost their lives.

The shopping complex suffered a worse fate; casualty count is unknown but believed to be somewhere to the likes of 2,000 people, not including property and material damage.

Chinese Army mobilizes

Chinese Army mobilized today against the rogue terrorist nation of Nungenshmargen.

"Our objective is to destroy and eliminate this terrorist regime and liberate the people of Nungenshmargen."

Nungenshmargen is located adjacent to Chinese Army; directly under it, in fact, and with a population of 380 million. The two nations share a land border and common heritage: the two peoples speak the same language and indeed there is little difference among them. The two nations are on their own large island, commonly referred to as an isolated land in the middle of nowhere but next to The Zoogie Isles, another group of islands in the middle of nowhere (AILIMoNbNTZIAGoIiMoN for short)

Military tensions have built up along the border, and with the mobilization, armoured columns are rumoured to have been pouring over the lines into Nungenshmargen.

--------------------------

The Chinese Army poured over the borders of Nungenhsmargen today. Armoured columns with main battle tanks, heavy battle tanks, APCs, and support helicopter and aircraft began rolling across the border, first pouring through unguarded gaps, and then through formerly guarded gaps as air force A-15 strikes rendered the surprised opposition useless.

Paratroopers have been dropped in the hundreds to secure forward airbases in Nungenshmargen, and a stern message has been issued to the Liberal-est Nation(TLEN), the terrorist group controlling it.

Chinese Naval units are also sailing to engage Nungenshmargen, and B-52s have launched cruise missiles at military targets... Nungenshmargen's cruise missiles have now been rendered useless; their storage bunkers all destroyed and their aircraft lying in flames on the runway. However, one of the B-52s was shot down...the air force now looks to engage itself into establishing air superiority.

War has now been officially declared.

Chinese Army has invaded Nungenshmargen.

OOC: Nungenshmargen is not a nation on NS. The Liberal-est Nation is, and is my puppet.

The reason I'm doing this having been given another nation, slightly larger than Chinese Army, I'm planning to phase out my use of Chinese Army and begin to use that nation in its stead. Chinese Army has, well, a terrible name for a nation.

This is my convenient IC method of doing that. The pop difference b/w Chinese Army and my new puppet is similar to the pop of The Liberal-est Nation currently, so I decided to use it. I plan on dragging this on for a while - 'til the other nation reaches a desireable state...i.e, similar to this one; a Capitalist Paradise with a frightening economy and a compassionate, intelligent, hard-working population.

However, the enemy is not weak - this is an Open RP. We request aid in liberating Nungenshmargen...of course, your businesses will receive first consideration in rebuilding it, and we will remember your aid.

The enemies are not socialists. They're fanatical, far, far, far, left totalitarians...if that makes no sense to you, that's because it shouldn't. Their military is all RL stuff...lacking in missile defenses...we thus request no more cruise missiles or nuclear weapons as it wouldn't be half as fun :) Mostly American for the army; all American for the navy; balance of US, CIS (Russia), and European for the air force.

Fierce battles raging along front

A lightning joint strike yesterday tore through enemy border defenses and allowed ground units to pour over the borders, seizing territory along the way. After quickly securing land to nearly twelve miles inland, fierce resistance was offered by Nungenshmargen's Liberal-est army.

The Liberal-est Army is currently engaged in a ferocious firefight with the Chinese Army, although the advantage of M-26 tanks in the Chinese Army is said to have given us technological superiority over T-84s in the enemy armies.

Special operations have captured two enemy air bases with few casualties, while air strikes continue against enemy radar installations, aiming to completely eliminate the Liberal-est Army's architecture.

Chinese Army's F-42s, F-22s, and Eurofighters are flying constantly to help ensure air superiority well beyond front lines.

Call for Coalition

As fierce battles rage on in the front, Chinese Army has called for a coalition of forces to assist the invasion.

"The war is sure to result in victory," proclaimed the Prime Minister today. "But the rebuilding of the coutnry and the liberating of the people will not be an easy task. We therefore seek a coalition of nations to help this fight."

Dra-pol is not able to deploy large forces over-seas (probably for the best, as we'd be running around killing everybody), as the military is set up to defend the Republic, but we do have massive stockpiles of old armaments as well as special forces and so forth..)

(News Alert - Very fierce large scale combat taking place in the seas and in and around the major completely militarized city of Jorasdin)
22-03-2004, 03:21
OOC _ Raginsheep, can you tell me how large your forces will be?

Chinese Army forces take major city of Jorasdin

Chinese Army forces today converged on the large city Jorasdin, which was beforehand completely evacuated of civilians - both by actual evacuation, and by converting them into armed militants. Jorasdin has also been thoroughly fortified, with several airlifts a few days ago making risky runs over the city to drop packages and more supplies being rushed through as Chinese Army forces quickly advanced their front.

For most of the day elements of the army, marines, air force, and select air units of the navy waged a very heavy barrage of firepower on the completely militarized city, and after many hours, the city was finally taken and the remaining forces captured.

---Army---

Three Army armoured divisions converged on the city Jorasdin from the Northwest, West, and Southwest, while marines and special forces gathered on the eastern side.

After a dazzling air show, both via fixed wing aircraft and helicopters, the army began to make their move. From the North-Northwest areas, four Paladin self-propelled howitzers and six towed howitzers began to unleash their heavy fire onto the city. Roughly ten M1A3 tanks and APCs lined up, as well as soldiers with heavy machine guns, provided a formidable barrier to enemy soldiers intending to defend from the howitzers. Two Ka-52s and two AH-64s provided close-air support, oftentimes manually picking out incoming enemy armour as they gathered here.

As enemy units began their shift north, twenty M-26UM Main Battle Tanks lined up began to fire onto the city, knocking out previous fortifications of light machine guns that had been abandoned, and damaging enemy supply buildings as they steadily advanced forward, flanked by M-12 Infantry Fighting Vehicles and Mi-24 Hind helicopters, with AH-1W Cobras ahead to scout and to pick out enemy armoured columns now diverted in this direction.

As seen from a Hunter UAV flying above the city, enemy forces from other parts of the city began to pull westward - and from the southwest, more howitzers fired and roughly 25 T-84 tanks began to roll forward, firing anti-tank missiles at a group of twelve T-90s stationed not far away, destroying all without a single casualty. They were aided by aerial reconaissance and close-air-support RAH-66 helicopters.

As this was happening, CH-47 and Mi-24 helicopters deployed personell to each division, who fortified their positions with 50-caliber Browning heavy machine guns and squad assault rifles, as they knew their firepower display was a limited time offer. Trucks and supply convoys quickly extended to these, escorted by AH-64Ds and AH-1Ws. They armed the personell and replenished APCs and to a certain extent, tanks. The forces withdrew for a short while, out of range, with a nearly unbreakeable initial defense line for incoming enemy forces.

As they were retreating, two Su-34s began to fly in circles around the western half of the city, bombing large artillery and tanks at will, and causing a considerable amount of chaos. For that matter, each carried a Napalm firebomb under center and caused massive fires to erupt in two sections of the western half of the city.

The marines were given the go-ahead to make their run straight across the city from the East. M-34 Amphibous Assault Tanks and M-1A3 Abrams, accompanied by M-12IFVs and Bradley APCs, began to role forward at a lightning pace through the streets. The armoured column was backed by three towed howitzers situated in a well-defended position much further back, which, as they were entering the city streets, began to fire towards the city. A MLRS also fired two barrages of rockets toward the center of the city.

The Marine column moved quickly, covered by Ka-52s and provided with scouting on all sides and additional coverage by RAH-66s. AH-64s moved into the city from the Western side, and AH-1s began to roam the skys in search of specific targets from the south and north. It was one of the largest co-ordinated in CA history.

Ten Mi-24 helicopters raced to catch up with the column, carrying eight special forces units each, deployed around the city as the armoured column pounded through it.

As the armoured column turned back, the three Army divisions poured into the city and overwhelmed it, covered with nearly sixty RAH-66 and AH-64 helicopters at any given time.

By sheer force combined with more than 140 special operations units inserted at various points of the city, the enemy was overwhelmed and the city taken. An estimated 1,000 prisoners were taken.

Losses - estimated;

Personell = 122, 187 wounded
Armoured vehicles =67
Tanks = 17
APCs = 18
Other vehicles = 94

Enemy losses - estimated;

Personell = Unable to be determined
Armoured vehicles = ~ 200
Tanks = ~100
APCs = ~150
Other Vehicles = ~400

---Air Force----

Su-27s and F-22s went in and took out enemy ground attack aircraft and their escorts, providing mostly friendly skies, while F-42s ensured protection from afar. In other areas the air force was more engaged, and enemy air forces will only get tougher from now on.

However, naval aircraft had it tougher - in a fierce battle between fleets, many aircraft from two aircraft carriers were lost.

The CPRD too is a state that might fit that description, you see.

0100 Zulu: Forward elements of the 1st Infantry Division would have arrived in the province of Jorasdin, not far from the actual city.

More developments in sea war -

Chinese Army patrol aircraft are now on the hunt for the remainder of the fleet that it had crippled earlier. The Liberal-est Army has several more such fleets, but it is essential this fleet be destroyed.

More developments in ground/air war -

Forward air base was attacked and destroyed by Nungenshmargen Su-34 aircraft; in retaliation, F-15Es and A-15s launched massive strikes against radar installations.

Army advancing with little opposition towards capital city to meet up with Raginsheep forces there.
