Arizoneia Press Assoc. (APA) - March 12, 2027- Vesta One - The Free Land of Arizoneia has announced that it has successfully constructed a large permanent research station on the asteroid Vesta. Numerous scientists, both government and private sector, along with a large support staff and construction teams are manning the site at present. The scientists stationed there plan to study everything from furthering our knowledge in migrogravity construction techniques to further studies of Vesta itself in the hopes of learning more about our solar system's history. The construction personnel and working on several additions to the outpost, not the least of which will be a tourist resort, and a shipyard to help the scientists there see the practical side of their research.
Back on Earth, ASTRA, the Arizoneia Space Transportation Administration, is proceeding with their studies into advanced space propulsion systems, hoping to soon provide us with faster and/or more efficient methods of space travel than our ageing fleet of NERVA and chemical rockets and shuttles.
