Declaration of atomic power

11-03-2004, 01:04
In the infancy of this great nation, we discovered a great reserve of uranium, which we naturally set about mining immediately. The citizens of this country cried foul at the time, because the government of the time allowed the bulldozing of numerous rainforests in search of this rare element. The people eventually rose up in revolution against this oppressive government, but finding much of the forestry already gone with no hope of revival, they continued the mining in hopes of some benefit received for the loss of their once beautiful forests.

After many long years of research, and several generations we finally have results. Within the next few months, all of GP's power will be provided by nuclear plants located far away from city centers. Consequently, we are also in possession of weapons-grade nuclear material, but at this time we are not pursuing that avenue of research. This marks a new era in GP's history, as much of the pollution currently caused by our coal plants will be brought to a grinding halt. Finally, we have an economically and environmentally feasible power solution that helps somewhat the scar caused by the loss of our forests.

Just a heads up.
