"Hello, this is Channel 17 news. Today I stand in front of the new Axis Nova Advanced Technology Institute. Inside, the final touches are being added to a facility that has been secretly under construction for more than a year. It is intended to study high-energy physics, fusion power, advanced materiels, and other high-tech items of interest to the government.
The camera switches to a small group of protesters waving signs outside of the facility gate.
"There are a few who are protesting the facility, saying that it is for weapons development and can bring no good to our fair country. However, the government has denied this entiredly.
The camera pans over the facility in the background, then focuses on the reporter.
"What new technologies will this institute bring to us? Will it prove to be beneficial, or will it prove to be a white elephant? The public awaits the answer... And now for the weekly sports reports..."
